Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Interception!

As the large column of energy would rush toward Hirotomi, he would jump in the middle and hold out his sword, cutting into it and separating the beam, sending it split in two directions around him and Hirotomi. Electricity jumped off his body, if he wasn't in transformation at the moment, it would have fried his clothing and hair and left a nasty burnt flesh smell. He would have been standing, but not pretty. The chakra surrounding him prevented that though, but it still hurt. He was pretty accustom to pain at this point, so he wouldn't buckle under it. Spinning around, he'd toss a scroll toward Hirotomi, the one he was paid to deliver. He didn't say anything though, he wasn't instructed to. It seemed this man, whatever he was up to, had a plan.

So, spinning back around in one fell swoop, he swing at the air, sending what can only be described as a crescent shaped energy wave across the ground at the lady...beast? Kicking up dirt and of course, the deadly energy. It was to make her move before firing off whatever shot it was and make her lose accuracy in doing so. It wasn't meant to hurt, but if she didn't dodge it most certainly would.

"I'll hold it off as long as I can, I hope he gets what hes after and leaves before it kills me..." he thought to himself, as he prepared for whatever it was that was coming. Silent, analyzing, still...

Aburabuta Hirotomi
The Businessman

Making due with such neanderthal devices - sticks, twigs and mire, such pedestrian wares even a degenerate such as they have better use with claws and fangs. There was a look of disgust that marred his otherwise handsome face as the creases on the sides of his lips deepened. It was perhaps overzealous to partake in an adventure without the tools of such a trade, not that it was outside his scope of capacity. He let out an audible sigh, to be reduced to such banal tactics was truly beneath him, but pride must sometimes be sacrificed for success. Again he grabbed a branch, if you could call the limb he broke off the tree as such with a single hand. His arm did not seem to tense in response to the force he had to apply as it broke off in his hand as easily as a twig would have. He broke the improvised weapon against the trunk of the tree with an unbecoming brute strength. His manicured hands choked the club-like paleolithic weapon and his feet slid into a Berserker stance.

"A moll, is she? I highly doubt she would have gone anywhere with you willingly, you cur."

That is what payment is for. None-the-less, her vocation or caste was of infinitesimal concern. "I really do not like fighting," Hirotomi exhaled, voicing his annoyance over a perceived inconvenience. He did not expect a column of dark light to be cast from the feral woman. He held up his... branch, yes, the branch would diminish the returns of the dark death ray. Probably not, but being a gentleman and being durable were not mutually exclusive. As he mentally prepared himself for searing pain, or perhaps fortune would shine on him as he batted the attack away but even his hubris could not override logic. Happenstance and providence were, however, on his side as an unknown swordsman moved into harm's way, splitting the attack in twain. Curious how the weapon could slice through the intangible energy, a first certainly.

The cat-woman flung herself into the trees, out of sight but some credence had to be given to the businessman. Even without knowing where she was, he knew where she should be. The skill of a prodigy such as himself, it should be expected. "My gramercy be to you... amiable swordsman" Hirotomi complimented, Moirai favored the laudable once again.

"Perhaps it would be wise to learn more about a potential kidnapping victim before the actual event, eh Aburabuta?"

It was then that Aburabuta recognized something about the swordsman, the fact that he was wearing the regalia of his men but he did not recall conscripting a new swordsman. He was rather careful about who he allowed in his inner circle, always dedicating such headroom to the best for the sake of proper commission and skill worthy of such compensation. The energy crackled and arched off his body, but he was not reduced to ash or taken to the ground. He nodded in approval, but his brow furrowed when the swordsman relinquished a scroll. What did that lawyer send him this time? He unfurled the tightly bound parchment and reached deep inside the scroll with his left hand, relinquishing his grasp on his over-sized branch. A neatly folded pile of clothes fell out, white and clean, less the verdant necktie. A disappointing acquisition? Not if one was to look at the perverse expression on Hirotomi's face, a look of delectation twisted his sharp features. "He sent me... a canasaur?" His words were laced with confusion, as if to say that what he was about to do was a bad idea.

A drawing of a Carnasaur was relinquished from the scroll. Twisted and fine, ink blotches gave a strange creation form. What is represented was more terrible than perhaps what it was, a drawing can only give an apex predator so much justice. A sword would have been preferable. He reached in a third time to see what else lay at the bottom of this dimensional pocket. His hands grabbed hold of something, his fingers met his palm in full-circle. Yes... He withdraws a salami? My employees are twits he internally griped. What in the word would he do with a fresh outfit, a salami and a raging ink Carnasaur. Speaking of Carnasaurs, the inky monstrosity was making its way towards the cat-woman. Breathing what could be assumed as drawn representations of electricity from its nares and toothy maw.

Meanwhile the swordsman appeared to be allied with him for now. Deep pockets go a long way in obtaining assistance thankfully. As the swordsman unleashed a skill Hirotomi had not seen since his father, the inky concoction released ...lightning breath that looked like it was painted in the air?

When the other ninja jumped into the fray and deflected his attack, Kashiro was more than pissed. He hissed at the man as he launched their body into a different tree, avoiding the slash of energy headed their way. "Are you insane? The man behind you kidnapped my host! If you were here to deliver that scroll, then leave!"

As he finished his final sentence, a giant ink creature came into being. Kashiro borrowed a word from Kimi's lexicon, basically the only word he could think to use at the moment, "Shit." Even if the thing was only ink, he was still not looking forward to fighting the giant snake-like creature. The last time he fought a snake had not gone very well for him.

He widened their mouth into a snarling hiss and jumped again out of the tree, this time landing behind a bush. They really needed a moment. He mentally prodded Kimi into slight consciousness. She mentally groaned, asking him what he wanted. He prodded her toward the seal. She studied it for a moment before erasing three marks. Kashiro knew that it would be temporary, so he braced himself to make the best of it. Kimi fell back into unconsciousness.

A large pulse of chakra lashed out around their body as it grew and changed forms. It took but a moment before a towering tiger stood in their place. Sapphire eyes glowed with power. They roared and lightning sparked at the corners of their maw. The voice deepened slightly and growled out, "Come and meet your maker if you dare."

"Are you insane? The man behind you kidnapped my host! If you were here to deliver that scroll, then leave!"

"My reason for being here doesn't concern you." he was quick and to the point on that one, having to stick to his silent samurai shtick.

"My gramercy be to you... amiable swordsman" his employer gave him praise, but it wasn't over yet. He had more than enough time to screw up and get fired, but what came next surprised even him. "He sent me... a canasaur?" Aburabata said, he turned his head and thought to himself "A wha..." and the carnasaur burst forth from the ink. It headed toward the woman/beast he had exchanged words with. His eyes widened, not that it was noticeable in his transformed state, but he was amazed at what just had happened, his first time seeing such a jutsu. Then he turned back to Hirotomi as he pulled a salami out of the scroll. He could see the confused look on the mans face, or maybe one of disdain for his underlings? It made him wonder why he was placing his reputation on the line for a salami also. Then it hit him, and he would back up and whisper to hirotomi.

"Throw it and run." he said, taking a defensive stance between the two beasts and Hirotomi. He had no intention of fighting either of these beasts, and was only here to be a meat shield and let Hirotomi escape.

Aburabuta Hirotomi
The Businessman

Hirotomi looked at the salami and then at the cat-monster and the drawn monster come to life. Carnasaurs were formidable beasts in life and its likeness seemed no different, they the businessman and the samurai diminutive in comparison. The salami flopped to either side as he held it in his off-hand, he had no use for such fatty meat but how... why would Kazuhiro send him a hunk of meat. The carnasaur seemed to sniff the air and turn towards Chikara and Aburabuta.

"Throw it and run."

The new employee instructed. Hirotomi scowled as he drew his arm back and flung the meat through the air, filling over itself in transit. He aimed it for the massive cat creature, not particularly caring which beast took the bait if either. "Marvelous suggestion," Hirotomi announced as he turned about face on his heel and prepared to run. The massive inky beast clawed at the airborne lunch meat as it was hurled in Kashiro's direction as it transformed into a great blue-eyed tiger. The 'carnasaur' swiped at Kashiro, seeking the meat rather than the beast. It hissed as its great tail swung around attempting to strike not only Kashiro in this transformed form but also the samurai and businessman. The earth and shrubbery uprooted, leaving a trail in the inky tail's wake. Hirotomi leapt straight up, he attempted to find refuge in the trees but the tree he perched in was knocked aside like a bowling pin and he was sent plummeting to the ground. He prepared himself for the descent, landing in a near perfect three-point pose. The ground creased underfoot , leaving a near perfect impression of his feet at the site he landed. His arms scraped, but otherwise he was intact. What was Nakamura thinking sending such a creature without warning, was he trying to get him killed? The damage done to his suit, that was still in his hands, would come from that detestable lawyer's salary.

"Swordsman, don't engage... I need you!" Hirotomi called, beckoning the samurai to follow him. He was supposed to have a sandrunner carriage waiting for him at the gates. He was not going to bother recovering the troublesome woman at this point. How she discovered that it was his men that kidnapped her was a mystery to him at this point, something he was going to have to look into. The plan was made in haste, it was an error he would not repeat. He depended on his subordinates to capture a civilian, not a shinobi and to ensure that it looked like a merchant lord's fault. None of these men or women were innocent, they all did regrettable things to get where they were. Kidnapping, slavery, prostitution, all things he did as well so he was not calling the kettle black, he was simply acutely aware of their shared moral short-comings. Perhaps they did not hire the Cabal, he would not have been astonished to discover they had... perhaps Fukui did not kidnap this girl but surely he had done something. Skill alone does not make a man wealthy in this world.

Kashiro ignored the flying meat, even going as far as jumping backward as the carnasaur swiped at him. The thing could have the meat, he just wanted justice for his host. He glared at the man and the carnasaur, growling lowly. As the ink beast's tail swung toward him, he lashed out with a gigantic paw, claws uncovered and poised to maim the ink creature. He noted Aburabuta's call toward the swordsman and couldn't help but think the man was whining a bit.

A mental prod from Kimi brought his attention to her momentarily. His host was exhausted, and he needed to get out of here, get back to Suna where she could tell her "superiors" what had occurred. With narrowed eyes, Kashiro bowed slightly to the ink-made monstrosity and slowly backed away. He stopped a few meters back and settled into a crouch. A leap to his right would throw him over the compound wall.

Before he jumped, he growled out, "You will see me once more, vile fiend."

And with that, he launched himself over the wall.

"Marvelous suggestion,"

The meat flew and with it the carnasaur attacked. He would retreat as he had planned with Hirotomi, doing his best to deflect debris and break apart the bigger piece as he could. Using the wind he was so imbued with to push most of it away as he kept an almost otherworldly amount of damage from reaching the man.

"Swordsman, don't engage... I need you!"

"No shit..."

He said aloud, as they escaped the general area. He didn't have much to do here but play shield, and its what he did best. Always taking a beating and getting right back up, he was immortal in some peoples eyes, who they were he didn't know, but it was for sure a thing, he totally swears! "Looks like you left a loose end, too bad their is nobody to fire you!" he joked, assuming Hirotomi was the top rung, his own boss. If somebody was higher than him, he'd like to meet that person...and then throw wine on his jacket, a bigger affront to the rich then killing their kin.

Aburabuta Hirotomi
The Businessman

The giant feline paw broke through the carnasaur's tail, ink blotches splattered over the brush but as quickly as the inky limb was decapitated, swirling inky lines replaced the space as if someone had simply tried to cut through smoke. It raged against Kimi, its drawn jaws snapping at the air before her face. Kashiro/Kimi departed, uttering a final threat in their departure. The carnasaur continued its rampage, knocking over trees and crashing into the fence that surrounded the Shino estate perimeter. Inside the mansion, there were dealings of another nature in progress. While innocent in these processes, there was not a single honest or innocent Merchant Lord.

They, Chikara and Aburabuta fled the scene. Aburabuta still handling the small trinket he had liberated from the Shino household. This did not go as planned, but it was so rare than anything ever did, but this failure was spectacular. He glowered outwardly as they rushed towards the fringe of the city, to where their carriage should be waiting and where he would be transported back to Sunagakure.

"Looks like you left a loose end, too bad their is nobody to fire you!"

Hirotomi let out a huff of hot air between his nares and glared out of the corner of his eye at the swordsman. "Shame, I was starting to like you."
