Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Two participants were nominated by their local academy headmaster to proceed with the next portion of their life: the Genin Exam. This exam was generally the first step to becoming a fully fledged shinobi, albeit after all of their hard work as an Academy Student. And when, or if, they passed the exam the two would be allowed to take on missions; which was a spectacular feat from a career perspective. Regardless of what they would be able to achieve, the two Students would need to actually pass the exam in order to claim these benefits. And would they really be up to the bill? Their proctor for the exam would be a Chuunin, undergoing tutelage from the Branch Sennin and whom came from a fairly respectable family: Yamazaki Ikkadan.

Today would start like any day really: a sunless, artificially lighted community would begin the daily grind without much attention to the lack of vitamin D that they would naturally receive from the sun. Earlier that morning both Tama and Okibi would have been delivered a letter of congratulations about their success as Students, but the letter would soon turn into a series of coordinates on how to proceed to their 'next stage as a Shinobi'. The coordinates would be easy to follow, and much to a general expectation it would lead them to the Academy, but would further delve them into the belly of the beast. The two would have to follow a series of dingy-looking stairwells that would push them further into the earth., which they'd probably notice the drop in temperature due to the damp of the underground. Or rather, under-underground.

Brightly lit torches would illuminate the stairwells that seemed to spiral downwards to no end, however the runic drawings that lay ingrained into the walls would help appease their curiosity. Some drawings would depict scenes of a fierce warrior, imbued with celestial properties and others would tell a tale of a strange creature, whom was constantly judged for its appearance. Although, the depicting architecture would come to an end as the two would reach the bottom of the stairwell, their eyes setting sights on a large chamber room. The walls, floor and ceiling was titled with a cobbled stone, leaving spacious gaps for anyone clumsy enough to trip up on. The embankments of the room were coated in numerous torches, as if to keep the dark away, or even to just heat the damn chamber up.

Although, perhaps their eyes would set on the the image of a newly attired Ikkadan. Who maybe decided it was time for a change of clothes, you know? His hair seemed more wild, yet styled at the same time and it also seemed lighter in colour.

"Oh hai~!" He would exclaim childishly with a distant wave upon the sight of both Students.

The sound of a large wooden structure cracking echoed in the early morning training compound.

It was a large gym that was sectioned off into fours that held a track, a taijutsu training room, a ninjutsu training room, and a general training room that was sectioned off in three parts for Tai, Nin, and Gen. It was an amazing building and a show of how much the country truly cared for its children’s training. Yet the boy who stood in front of a large dummy wielding a weapon twice his own size could honestly care less.
A grimace of anger constantly loitered on the boy’s face since his mother’s death. Vengeance had not been enough to quell the emptiness he felt the day of her loss, and have since then done nothing but increase his physical training; his mind had been hard to work with lately.
A hard breath came from Tama as he held tight onto the hilt of the gigantic dull iron sword. Its blunt edge was driven a good three inches into the nigh indestructible wooden practice dummy. The very idea was, of course, ludicrous that a student would be able to wield so much power to achieve this feat, and even in this situation it remained true. The scientist didn’t actually have much strength in the physical aspect, but what he was lacking seemed to be made up in a strange power the ancient Mikaboshi had awakened inside the student. Completely uncontrollable and life threatening at first the child had spent the last couple of months devoting his complete time to studying on chakra energies, sealing techniques, ancient rune magic, anatomy, and high level chemistry all in the attempt to create a way to control it. After reaching the peak point of an energy eruption he finally found the thing that could help him filter the overwhelming holy energies that were not completely his.
A ring made of silver with a small round purple crystal set into it graced the ring finger of his right hand. On that ring in three interlocking circles was an ancient rune spell that interacted with the gem, creating a magical filter of sorts. The gem was a scientific creation using his own blood that actually absorbed the holy energies he channeled with that same red life source and the circles could be moved to align different levels of filtration; allowing him to slowly master his own destructive powers.

A golden energy flickered along the dull blade’s edge for a moment, creating a force that allowed from Tama to remove the weapon from the dummy with a grunt and a tug. He held the weapon up in the air as if it weighted that of a wooden sword and carefully placed it on the ground before clutching his ring hand with pain.
The energy, though now controllable to an extent regarding ‘how much’, still held a rebellious ‘how powerful’ that the youth was only now starting to comprehend. His right hand burned as if a million microscopic fire ants was devouring his flesh, but he knew that this would eventually pass as he reached up and turned the gem clockwise twice. Almost instantly the burning went away with only the stinging of a limb falling asleep to remind him.
A small level of anger reached into Tama again as frustration began to take hold. He had finally managed to keep his own powers from being able to kill him but he couldn’t manage to find a way to actually fight beyond a 3rd level of his ring’s filter; and there were at least 13 of them. He had decided that physical training would increase his ability to use them but so far all that had done was show him how destructive the holy energy could be when combined with his anger. The amount of power he was actually able to use was barely Genin level when before it was closer to a Chunnin’s. It absolutely baffled him that when he finally managed to wrestle it under control it actually got weaker.

With a frustrated sigh Tama decided it was time to call it quits for the day and go about actually getting back into his studies. Even though he lacked any motivation to do really anything that wasn’t dictated by fury he tried to force himself into his creations, ideas, and studies for the academy if he had any hope in passing. The past few days had been extremely traumatizing and he had rarely shown up for class though he doubted that many people even knew of what happened. For the moment he had been taken in by a neighbor that had gotten to be friends with his mother but the two rarely spoke to one another. The youth suspected that the man who had taken him in was a lover his mother had gotten involved with and paranoidly wondered if this had been one of the things that triggered the entire attack.
The school gym was actually located fairly close to his new residence and it only took him a few minutes to meander back to the back door of the small duplex this guy lived in. Taking out the key to the door he shoved it into the metal lock and turned it until the latch slid back into the door. Reaching out with his still stinging right hand he shoved the door into the wall and back out to close off the back entrance again; with a flick of his wrist the door returned to being locked.
As usual the lights were all out save the one in the kitchen where the two males tended to gravitated towards from time to time, though very rarely at the same time. On this morning was one of those days when Tama found the house owner in the kitchen looking over an envelope with blood-shot eyes and a bottle of tequila in his hand. The first thing the boy had discovered was that the man was an alcoholic, or at least had been since taking him in. There were empty liquor bottles everywhere and from the look of it the guy was on his second one this morning; a drunken nap was leering.
Without a word to his tenant the boy walked in and opened the fridge to get out the lone carton of juice in a bottle filled with chilling wines. Flicking off the rubber top he raised it up to his lips to quench the thirst for vitamin C.

“You’re not even going to ask what I have?” quirked the drunk.
Junk mail from the market is what I assume. Usually the only information that gets sent here,” Tama replied.
“Nope, guess again,” the man remarked as he lifted the envelope between two fingers towards his ward.

With a quirked eyebrow full of curiosity that hadn’t been in his mind in awhile the boy snatched it and read the front. In bold letters it stated to come from the academy and without hesitation ripped the top off to retrieve the paper inside. Tama’s eyes almost bulged out of his head when he saw that the letter was the official invitation to a ranking exam. Hesitating only to drink the rest of the juice in the carton the Ryuu turned on heel and dashed back out into the streets via the front door, much to the sudden protest of his tenant; to which Tama didn’t care too much about. The time for the exam was only a couple minutes away…

The trip back to the academy was fast, faster than Tama had ever made it before and ran into the main center office to present his exam letter just as the clock struck too late. A small film of sweat had begun to bead the boy’s forehead but it was nothing compared to the training he had just finished with. The idea that he was going into this exam directly after his stamina strengthening made him a little nervous, but with a solid mind that he hadn’t felt in days he was able to fight it down.
Down the staircase the boy descended without a look back and only momentarily was he distracted by the runic writing on the wall, deciding that the test was far more important than taking the time to decipher them. This was the ranking test he would need to finally earn a place in the system to work up from, where he would be able to make money from doing the things he had been trained to do and in far more amounts than he was previously earning at that bar. His final foot descended down into the chamber revealing his normal training attire to the man in the room – a simple leather vest over a bare body and a pair of baggy white pants. No shoes adorned his feet, nothing held back the wild hair from his eyes, and it was purely something someone would wear while conducting physical training…or lounging around the house. The boy didn’t take any time to shower, change his clothing, or even fix himself up. It had simply been, find out there was an exam and get to the exam.
He wasn’t sure exactly how to reply to the Chunnin who greeted him except to simply offer a jester of greeting by briefly lifting his hand to do a short wave and drop it back down. Tama’s mind was far more focused onto what this test was going to be about…

Okibi sat at the kitchen table, munching on some jerky. She ate at a steady pace, seemingly unrushed and unconcerned.

Number Seven lumbered through the doorway in his human form, holding a piece of paper in his gloved hands. His glassy red eyes narrowed on the lounging girl. "Dont you have somewhere to be?" He asked rhetorically. Okibi looked up from her plate of jerky momentarily before focusing on her chew again.

"Does Okibi?" She asked right back. For a second, Seven thought she was being serious and actually forgot that she had something important to do today. He tromped over to the table and pushed her plate away, earning a glare for his trouble. He then set the paper in his other hand down in front of her. Okibi glanced at it, and then went back to glaring at him. "What?"

Seven sighed and pointed at the paper. "Your graduation exam. It's today, or did you really forget?"

Okibi looked down at the paper again and shrugged nonchalantly. "Okibi not forget. Just taking time." She said flippantly, biting of a large piece of jerky. Number Seven looked up at the clock on the far wall and scowled.

"It's nearly the designated time and you still have to get to the academy." He said. Okibi shrugged again, and this time Seven caught her arm midway and started dragging her from the room and out the door. Okibi complained and struggled, claiming not to have been done with her jerky yet. Seven paid her no mind and he tossed her into the air and turned back into his dog form, catching her on his back and then taking off in the direction of the Grand Halls.

They got there in record time, and Okibi grudgingly took the time to put the specialized clone jutsu back in place on Seven. Last time they'd been there the staff wouldnt let him in because he was so big. He was just as big in human form, but at least he didnt look canine. Okibi followed the human/dog into the building, pouting the entire way as he navigated the halls using the directions in the letter. In no time, the duo found themselves at the top of a winding staircase that looked none too welcoming. Seven went first, and had to duck a little to avoid hitting his head on the ceiling. Okibi followed quietly, feeling a little less put out and little more intrigued. The walls were lined with murals, all of them depicting something different. The ones with the hideous creature caught her attention most.

Before long, the pair landed on the bottom of the stairs and greeted a spacious chamber. Both of their eyes immediately went to the two humans already occupying the room. Okibi's face lit up. "Ikki! Tami!" She bellowed, cringing slightly when her voice echoed back at her. Perhaps shed have to keep her voice down while she was here. Seven shook his head and followed behind the girl as she ran to greet her fellow humans.

Okibi stopped short of leaping at Ikkadan, taking in is new attire. She then did the same with Tama, eyeing him up and down. "Nice clothes." She said to the both of them with a raised eyebrow, obviously being sarcastic. It wasnt like she had much room to talk though, as her ensemble of choice was a just a large tank top and her underwear.

(For the record, Sevens human for is about seven feet tall. :)

The first of the two, Ryuu Tama, appeared before the exam proctor, Ikka. There wasn't much to go on really from the initial sight of the other boy, but was there much to expect in the first place? Ikkadan didn't know him, nor did Tama know the proctor, and just to through it out there: somewhere along the lines one might feel patronized to be proctored by a boy who was your own age. "You must be Tama-san? I'm Yamazaki Ikkadan, it's a pleasure to meet you," He would smile and bow his head, "And congratulations on being entered into the Genin Examination. I hope that you'll enjoy yourself." Enjoy yourself? Well, that would be easier said than done given that they were soon to be examined; which would assess their worth as a shinobi.

Oh, well, this felt a tad bit awkward. Ikkadan felt somewhat tempted to continue the non-existent conversation along with some generic phrases like, 'Oh, lovely weather we're having in this cave, haaaa' or something completely ridiculous as that.

The second of the two to arrive was Okibi, whom was followed by a rather well-presented towering male. This distracted the boy from his friend, and indeed, from his self-awareness. "Okibi..." He would say with a surprised expression, trying to suss out who the man was and why he graced the examination hall. "Um, yeah, I guess I decided that I would change things up a little." He would retort back to his friend, mind still distracted by the towering man who stood by her. Ikkadan said as he embraced her with a warmth that could only be felt through the connection of two friends. Regardless of his curious mind, Ikka would, albeit for this instance, just enjoy her company with a warm smile and a general feeling of goodwill - something could be read from the subtle expression upon his face.

"But yes," He would allow the girl to return back to Tama, "I only have two people taking this exam... I'm not sure who he is. If he's not apart of the exam, he'll have to move on, Okibi!" Ikkadan would add, still trying to recall any past meetings with the girl in relation to this oddly tall man. Had they met before or was he just some kind of man-butler.

Without a moment's waste, the flames from within the room would all-but vanish from existence, as if they were hooked up with gas and simply 'turned off'. The room would fall silent, minus a few confused sounds (if any) from the two students. Suddenly, the sound of a few slab grinding apart echoed throughout the room, and the sound seemed to come from the center point of the ceiling. What the students wouldn't see; would be a small sphere, maybe about the size of a melon, falling from this masked gap. The sphere would crack open with a horrendously illuminated white light, which would cause the two students to be visually stunted for a moment. And while the two were visually stunted, Ikkadan would launch three kunai's towards Tama and another three towards Okibi.

This was simply just to test their hazard awareness, if you will.

[Aaah, I'm sorry, that was a crappy post on my part. I'll do better for you guys! Sorry to keep you waiting!]

Right back at you Wild Child,” Tama said when his training attire was addressed. He felt somewhat embarrassed since he was normally one to dress rather well and it had occurred to him that his hectic life needed some fine tuning since as of late everyone had seen him wearing his worst. So Okibi might possibly be complimenting his outfit when he saw what she was wearing. His eye quirked a bit at what he was wearing but then passed off to whatever insanity caused the girl to speak as she did; the giant butler didn’t seem to make a mark on Tama either way.

Their proctor spoke something about the big guy needing to go along or something and the pyro-lighting went out. As if a flick had been switched Tama closed his eyes from the darkness and focused his creative mind into figuring out the situation.
It was possible that there was to be an attack from the man and that the darkness was a guise for whatever offensive maneuver he was about to pull. His brain showed Tama a basic layout of the room that he had managed to gather in the short few glances he gave it. Remembering where he stood and where Okibi stood the youth waited for the effect of sounds that weren’t coming from his area since he stood quiet.
It was only seconds before the sound of stone grating on the ceiling caught the attention of his creative mind once more. What could it be? A hole opening in the ceiling meant something was going to drop out of it, but of what nature? The boy gathered what he knew into a quick list – Dark, Round, Stone, Proctor/Enemy, Quick Lighting Capabilities. The first and last items on that list clicked together reminding him of his anatomy lessons, about the pupils and their weakness to sudden changes in light. Whatever was coming out of the ceiling was but a secondary concern to sudden blindness and so he chose to keep his own eyes closed.
Then there was Okibi.
Tama wasn’t sure of her intelligence in sudden situations like this. She seemed to react to strange sudden things in a terrible way and he wasn’t aware at all of any skill she had outside of being naturally destructive in a way that was almost cute. Almost. He was still trying to replace all the things her explosion had destroyed.

Okibi, close your eyes!” Tama yelled just as the ball cracked open to reveal a terrible light that almost shined through the boy’s closed eyes. Quickly he brought an arm up to shield his face and focus away from the distracting light to listen for movement. In his mind he had an idea of everyone’s location and was trying to pay attention to what was in front of him. The sound of clinking metal and something heavy flying through the air sent a lightning fast message through his nervous system to side step in time to feel the kunai pass by him, barely grazing the edge of his vest. With a glare of his eyes he sent a touch of his chakra from the blood of his veins into the muscles in his arm. The arm snapped forward at speeds that were fairly impressive for his rank and caught the end of the kunai by the very tip of the circular pommel. Instead of sending it back the young scientist felt it would be a better idea to hold onto it since he had no weapon himself.

Slowly his left hand reached towards the ring and twisted the gem on his ring once, causing his natural chakra to slowly become augmented with the strength of holy energy, which would cause the energy to quickly flow up into his eye causing it to change the pupil of his left green eye into that of a reptile’s. He opened only the left eye and scanned the room with a sharpened vision enhanced by the holy energies lining his blood now.

[For all intents and purposes I’ll say now that this thing I’ve been doing with Tama’s eye is the skill White Blessing from the Spiritualist’s Tree.]

What? Ikkadan couldnt recognize Number Seven? Okibi turned to look at the giant dog turned man and wondered. Was he really so unrecognizable? She was about to tell the duo just who the human was and that any kind of test had to include him too, but without any warning, the lights went out. Okibi, who's natural instincts were different, kept her eyes open so they could adjust to the sudden lack of illumination. Was the test starting? The sound of grinding stone drew the girls gaze upward toward the ceiling and she frowned thoughtfully.

"Okibi, close your eyes!"

For a split second, Okibi was confused. Why in the world would she want to close her eyes when they were about to be tested on their skill? What if they were attacked? She wasnt very good at defending with her eyes closed.

The split second passed, and Okibi decided to heed Tama, as he was so much smarter than she was. However, she wasnt quick enough to close her eyes before the sudden burst of light popped into existence. Okibi winced as her eyes closed more on reflex, being exposed to a millisecond of too much light. Even then with them closed she could see how bright the light was. She rubbed at her eye, distracted for a moment, when she heard a telltale clink and smelled the scent of metal.

"Get down!" Number Seven barked at her (literally) and Okibi felt a heavy hand pressing down on her shoulder. She didnt hesitate to listen to Seven and quickly fell to the floor, her palms and toes holding her up.

Seven saw the kunai coming, for although he didnt close his eyes like Okibi did, they werent affected the same why by the sudden light. They were fake, after all, and had no pupils. All he had to do was look away from the direct source and he could see the room as well as if it had been lit up by the sun. Ikkadan suddenly went on the offensive, and it was apparent that the test had begun. He knew Okibi wasnt as adept at dodging when her eyes were closed, and knew he was going to have to step in. He pressed down on her shoulder and told her to duck, while with the other arm he shielded her. He was able to smack two of the kunai out of the air, but one got lodged in his meaty arm. It hurt a little, but it was hardly deep enough to be a concern.

Pulling the kunai out of his arm and tossing it to the ground, he looked at Ikkadan with a serious expression. "It's good to see you too Yamazaki Ikkadan." And there would be no mistaking his voice. Or what he was silently saying. He wasnt going anywhere.

When the pain in her eyes had passed, Okibi carefully opened them, keeping her gaze well away from the source of the bright light. She popped back up to her feet, and made a face. Seven had gotten hurt only seconds into the test. She was going to have to step up her game it seemed.

The light would subside, and the damage would be revealed for all to see. Tama had enabled himself to evade the attack, simply put. However, Okibi and her gentle giant were not all that lucky, as the towering man seemed to block one of the kunai with his protective shell of a body. That made Ikkadan smile, and in that moment, before he even greeted Ikkadan - he was aware of the identity. "Seven... It's good to see you." He gave the man/dog/thing a gentle smile with a nod of his head. However, the sight of the injury made him worry a little for how he would cope; surely, he wouldn't be using his body as a shield all the way through the exam? "I'm impressed, Tama." Ikka would then turn his gaze to the boy, still smiling, "You were able to dodge them all very efficiently, while assisting your comrade."

However, out from the darkness at the end of the hall, a slender figure would appear with a smile on her tanned face. Her hair was short cut, professional looking, yet sexy. She looked friendly, approachable and quite pleasant as far as first impressions go. "Hi there, I hope I'm not too late!" She would add, clunking along in her high-heels, occasionally pinching her buttocks to relief herself of a very pesky wedgie. As the woman came into full-sight, it would be revealed that she wore a doctor's outfit; which really was a simply white lab coat with a ruffled, peach blouse underneath the open coat. "My name is Oba Kinnaku and I'm the Medical Chief here in Sunagakure. Well, I'm one of two." She would smile, nodding her head with a clipboard wrapped in her criss-crossed arms; which rested over her chest and blouse. "Oh my!" Kinnaku would exclaim as she set her keen eyes on the nasty arm wound that inflicted Seven, the towering human. To be honest, Kinnaku's initial impression of the towering man was 'yes, another tall person!' as she was considerably tall for a woman: 6ft.

Resisting the urge to head over to the wound and heal it, Kinnaku would stand beside the dwarfed Ikkadan. "Thank you for coming, Kinnaku-san." He would smile, nodding his head to the woman before returning his head back to the two students. "I've asked Kinnaku to be here for this exam for two reasons, one being your safety... And two, which is most contradictory, she is part of your exam."

"You see, I'm not very skilled with close-combat but I do have something quite unique. It's a trait that I haven't really uncovered through my travels, but I guess that makes me a little different, yeah?" Without much warning, the tanned Chief would shove her hands forward and release a gigantic spore of tiny, tiny insects; dust mites, to be specific. These tiny creatures would, in such a massive volume, buzz towards the two students. There would be no way of even attempting to stop this attack, especially on such a large scale.

However, they wouldn't have to worry, would they? The cobbled slabs beneath Seven, Okibi and Tama would crumble and ultimately cause the three to fall downwards, through a spacious gap. This fall out seem disorientating due to the occasional bursts of light from an open lit torch clawed to the side of the walls. After a short fall, the three would land in a deep pool of water, which seemed to be settled against a horridly dark backdrop. There wasn't any platforms of earth nearby to climb upon, and the body of water seemed to stretch for miles. And the emptiness of the cavern, filled with water, would only be emphasized by the echoing drips of water from the ceiling above. Which sort of hinted to how massive this cavern was.

Meanwhile: "Were you just trying to scare them into anticipation for that attack, and then combining it with that surprise of the floor disappearing from beneath their feet?" Ikkadan would shake his head, chuckling slightly as Kinnaku grinned childishly as if she had done something very accomplished.

[Summary: Seven, Okibi and Tama have been dropped through the floor into a massive cavern, which is filled with water. The entire cavern is extensive, and it's flooded with water. There is no platforms of earth to stand on, so be creative if you guys want a rest - or something. Hope that post was okay~!]

The appearance of another person surprised Okibi just slightly. Was she another participant in the test? If so, Okibi didnt like it. Why didnt she have to be blinded and have kunai thrown at her!? As the woman introduced herself, Okibi scowled, feeling a little put out. Seven had a hand clamped over the wound in his arm, stanching the bleeding until the wound clotted. The pair watched the woman until Ikkadan made it known just why she was there.

A medical chief was she? That explained her more professional attire. It also meant she was in fact not a participant in the test. Okibi relaxed when she realized this and tried to put a more pleasant expression on her face. As pleasant as one could be after being temporarily blinded and attacked, anyway.

However, the pleasantries werent meant to last when suddenly the Oba woman threw her hands out and released a dark cloud of tiny buzzing insects. Neither Okibi nor Seven knew what kind of damage these bugs could do, but they werent about to take any chances with them. Okibi swatted at any parts of the cloud that got too close to her face and Seven did the same. Oddly enough, some of the bugs got stuck in the blood that coated his glove, and he took a closer look at them. They were indeed tiny.

When suddenly the floor beneath their feet gave way, crumbling, neither of the pair was expecting it. Out of sheer instinct alone, Okibi and Seven reached out for each other, preparing for whatever was to come. When their fall opened up and dropped them into an enormous cavern, Okibi and her partner simultaneously gasped. They were about to fall into a giant expanse of water! There was no telling how deep it was, but it looked pretty dark, and that usually meant deep. Okibi looked at Seven quickly, and saw the panic that she knew would be there.

With bones as heavy as the ones that he had, his fear was understandable.

Seven couldnt swim, literally. He sank like a rock.

"Get on Okibi's back!" The girl yelled over the sound of air whipping by their ears. Seven gave her a look that clearly said he thought she was crazy. The girl growled fiercely at him. "Get. On!" She reiterated, leaving no room for argument. Hesitantly, Seven curled his enormous frame around Okibi's much tinier one, and braced for impact.

The landing came hard and fast, but luckily Okibi was able to pull out some of that energy that she learned all humans were capable of creating. She pooled it under her feet as much as she could, attempting to cushion her landing and keep her atop the water, but even then it felt like she fell with two tons on her back.

That was mostly because she did. Number Seven was a heavy mofo.

The girls thin legs buckled beneath their combined weight and she fell over onto her hands and knees. Gasping, because she was pretty sure she was going to feel that in the morning, she tried to gain her bearings. "Seven. You so heavy." She wheezed. The dog laughed uncomfortably, looking like he wanted to relieve his human of his burden, but at the same time didnt want to go anywhere near the water. They made quite the comical sight really.

The series of events that came next were beyond anything of what Tama was expecting. He figured with the test of being able to dodge kunai that a standard battle would follow up to test their actual skills at melee ranged fighting. Of course things in the lands of sands were never so simple.
A doctor of some sorts revealed herself and Tama kept a wary eye on the woman. Luckily she was standing next to the proctor so keeping an eye on them both wouldn’t be very hard. He didn’t even so much as glance at the girl and her giant butler to check if they were okay, just had faith that they had survived the previous test. Slowly the female began to walk towards them with her hands held up causing Tama to go on the defensive and reverse the grip of his caught kunai into a reverse grip and shifted his body into a low protective stance with the blade held out edge first before him.
Just as predicted he had no way to combat the crazy that came next. A black cloud of insects came rushing at the two though the scientist had no idea that there bugs just started slashing in a fast wide circumference of himself to try to keep the creatures from touching his body. While being distracted by the attack he nearly completely missed the fact that the floor beneath him had disappeared until the room itself started to fall around him.
The boy focused more energy into the left eye and tried to get a grip on how big the hole was when a flash of lights threw off the enhanced vision he had given himself causing him to fall just as blindly as his partner. In desperation he tried to lunge out to stab his weapon into the wall hoping to catch his fall somehow only to stab it into one of the lighting fires. The explosion of flames burned his hand to the point of him releasing the grip on his only weapon and to fall down into the lake below with a large splash that wasn’t controlled at all.

It took Tama nearly a complete minute to figure out which way was up in the depths of that murky water but finally his head exploded out of the surface. With a deep gasp for much needed oxygen he kept his legs and arms moving in order to keep his head above the surface so he could gather his mind enough to figure out what the hell was going on. It was then that his eyes as assaulted by the madness of Okibi carrying the giant butler. It took the boy nearly another minute to even comprehend how the hell this was happening before his brain kicked itself out the craziness that Okibi brought with her naturally.
Once more with a rational mind Tama focused his chakra towards his feet and created a layer of energy that would allow him to stand on the water as the girl carrying her butler was. Laying back in the water he placed his feet on top of the surface and using nothing but the muscles of his legs brought himself straight out of the lake and into a straight stand. First things were first, they needed a way out of the cave and he doubted that jumping back up the hole was a valid option so that left walking on the lake’s surface until they found the exit or the next part of this zany test, whichever came first. Reaching down to his right hand Tama once again twisted the gem on the ring to unleash a bit more of the holy energy into his body to give it strength that a bookworm would not normally have and without even asking slipped his hands under seven’s arms and pulled him back so that he could carry half the burden.

I’m going to assume that this guy can’t walk on the water and the swim would probably be far too long for someone of his…weight. I’ll carry half while we think on how we can figure out this…predicament.

It was indeed just that too. For the first time in a while the scientist was stumped on which way to progress given so many possibilities and so little resources. His wilderness survival skills gained on the surface never included a giant underground cave at any point.

The three landed with a tiny, bounce against the greatness of the water's body. Okibi and Seven, particularly Seven, seemed to struggle with the simple task of staying afloat due to his weight (as he was now being carried by his fateful companion). Tama, also, was able to come to his senses and generate his chakra around his feet; effectively layering the soles with chakra to separate him from the water, making the apir into some kind of pseudo-Jesus'. The water send forth a flurry of ripples from the point of contact with the participants and the water; which reached out into the unknown of the cave, where the shadows were too deep and mysterious to reveal their secrets. However, all of a sudden there screeched a horrid beast, as if it were a roaring noise, performed at such a despicable decibel. The roar would cause the body of water to shiver, shaking frantically, at the presence of something hidden within the murky blackness.

It would be obvious, even to two students, that something with a strong chakra was hiding itself in the depths of the water. And, it would quickly become apparent, that the strong chakra would be on the move. And it was heading upwards, from the bottom, straight to the surface. However, the source of the energy would lead to a much unanticipated anti-climax, when the creature revealed itself to be an overgrown frog. And quite surprisingly, the frog was able to manipulate its own chakra and stand upon the surface of the water too.

"Riiiibbbbbiiiit~!" The frog, a sickly green creature, about the size of an adult Akimichi male at the height of 5'7 with a heavy weight of about 18 stone. "Rawwr!" He would exclaim, most uncharacteristically with a rather unimpressed expression upon its warty face; while also waving its webbed paw camply to the two, as if to taunt them both. "Ribbit!" The obviously male frog would comment with a generic sound effect, as his extra long, pinkish tongue rolled out from its mouth and dangled before him. The frog would waste no time in leaping towards its meal, and when I say leap, I mean the frog actually leapt from its position into the air with great angst.

It would coil back its head and then snap its sticky, extra long tongue towards the encumbered Okibi, whom was holding up Seven.

It was clearly targeting the most vulnerable member, but why?

Tama’s wait for a response from his partner was cut short before she could even tell him anything. A strange terrible noise began to quake from beneath the duo, a tell-tale sign that the exam was far from being over; or at least one would think. The creature that would cause such a dreadful noise revealed itself in possibly the most non-scary way the scientist could possibly think of. Then it so made the bold move of attacking them immediately.

Butler, I’m going to use you as a slingshot,” Tama said to the heavy man he was holding half of. It was mostly just a brain reflex attack plan but it did have some merits – if not just plain crazy enough to work.
Using the holy energy the boy was channeling through his system he gave the man in his arms a “toss” up and grabbed his waist to perform a herculean feat of strength that he probably would never be able to pull off again. Suddenly shoving a massive amount of chakra down into his feet the boy created a momentum on top of the water’s surface to swing both Seven and Okibi in a circle before snapping back the large man at the apex of that momentum. The sheer force of that whip crack would send the small girl hurling at the frog, hopefully below the attack of the tongue. She was strong enough to hold the full weight of the man that was now causing the boy to struggle, hopefully she would be strong enough to use that momentum he gave her to attack the viscous odd amphibian.

[Crap post, sorry! Work has been really horrible!

Okibi was relieved when some of Seven's elephantine weight was taken from her. She looked up to see the diminutive Tama shouldering half of the dogs dwarfing human form. Obviously he was stronger than he first appeared, much like herself. The girl grinned dryly. The boys assumption that Seven couldnt walk on water was correct. To their knowledge, he was incapable of harnessing or molding any chakra. And as for swimming... heh. "Seven not swim, he sink." She commented as she rose up onto her feet. It was much easier to handle her partners excessive pounds with some help.

The smell of singed flesh tickled Okibi's nose and she glanced down to see that Tama had burned his hand. How he managed that, she didnt know. Perhaps it happened just before the floor fell out in the room above, or on the way down. She'd been much too occupied with trying to keep herself and Seven out of the water to notice. But now she did, and she was about to ask if he was ok when an odd sensation drew her attention downward. It felt like something was quickly swimming to the surface, something with a good deal of power. Okibi waited with grim anticipation, knowing that was came next must have been part of their test as well.

Her face fell slightly when the bearer of the chakra power splashed out of the surface. The frog landed on the water, as capable of standing on it as she and Tama. Okibi had to admit, a giant frog was not what she had been expecting. Her expression became slightly curious when the frog took on a rather thugish demeanor, taunting them with his slimy frog hand and long tongue. "Oh, Frog want fight." She said airily, as if commenting about the weather. Slowly, however, her face began to change. She grinned deviously, already planning an attack. If it was a fight the frog wanted, it was a fight he would get.

"Butler, I’m going to use you as a slingshot,"

The eyes of both Okibi and Seven widened comically, and they would have looked at Tama curiously if the dog wasnt already being pulled away from her. Seven latched onto Okibi out of instinct, and it wasnt until they were already being swung around that he realized what exactly Tama was trying to do. He wanted to throw his human at the airborne frog. Okibi was rather clueless.

"Hey! What you doin Tami-eeeeeee!!" She was mid question when the snap in the slingshot came. With the momentum that came from the spin, and the strength of Seven's human arms, Okibi was scent flying like an arrow from a bow. She squealed and tumbled through the air for a second, until she too realized what was going on. Her eyes widened again, but this time with clarity, as she saw the frogs extended tongue pass by beneath her. She was being sent in to attack.

And just like that, she was grinning again.

Okibi righted herself in the air, just before she would have made contact with the frog. She latched onto the frogs face with her claws and his lower 'lip' with her feet. This brought her dangerously close to his tongue, so she was going to have to be quick about things. "Frog want taste Okibi!? Then eat this!" She declared loudly as she reared her right arm back and curled her hand into a tight fist. It launched with tremendous force, aimed at the frogs face and upper 'lip'. If it hit, it would have enough power behind it to actually sink his face inward, like putty!

Back on the surface of the water, Seven was watching his human go at the frog as he now clung to Tamas back. He cleared his throat. "My name is not Butler, by the way. You may call me Seven." He said to the white haired boy, and left it at that.

Well, this was a new one to say the least. Tama had managed to shift some of the weight from Seven off of his back, which was good because no doubt he would strain himself and become almost completely useless to the duo at some point during the exam. Wait, no, that's not really what he was planning, was it? Tama had manged to conjure a feat of strength most unknown to that of a student, although the strength allowed him to spin both Seven and Okibi around in a circle. And at the right moment, at the precise angle, he released his grasp on the pair and launched them both into the great unknown of a collision.

Oh dear.

However, the plan went off with relative success, despite the oddity of throwing your comrade willingly into battle, the action seemed to work as Okibi soared into the air alone. Okibi made the first move, latching onto the frogs face with her claws and his lower lip with her feet; odd position, but hey-ho. And quite surprisingly, the girl managed to conjure up a tremendous amount of physical force that would be launched against the frog's face. The frog, being hit, would be knocked out of his flight path and away from the three. The frog, upon being hit, remained atop of the water's surface after being rebounded from the attack; he clearly was upset at the pain he now had running through his face. Actually, the thing began to cry and wail uncontrollably after being hit, because in actual fact, the timid creature was really just wanting to play with its 'new friend'.

It's behavior only seemed threatening, and thus, the two students acted accordingly. But still, the thing kept crying, and it almost urged for some warmth from a cuddle or something sentimental in the form of physical contact, after all it was a youngster. The frog would release its molded chakra from its webbed feet, dropping itself into the water and disappearing from sight. However, the strong sense of chakra was not gone, in fact, the presence seemed to grow and that's when the three would set eyes upon 'Mamma'. A colossal frog, wearing a tilted jeweled crown, stood before the three after having seeped up from the depths of the water. It's appearance was humorous due to the tiny crown, that was barely visible unless you could see the sparkle, and the red lipstick that was smeared across its lips.

And that's when the beaten up frog would appear, standing beside its mother with a convicted face of 'haha, you're going to get it now' upon its face. The terrifyingly massive mother frog looked down upon the spawn and seemed to emanate with a horrible sensation of anger. And with a single swipe of its flipper-type-thing, a destructive wave would brush in from the rear heading towards the three at such a terrifying pace.

(Flipper-type-thing! Lolll xD)

A triumphant grin spread across Okibis face when her attack landed quite effectively. She sent the giant toad flying back through the air, and the splashes he caused on the surface were like music to her ears. Truly, she could enjoy a good fight.

However, she was not expecting tears from the thug-like creature. The heck? He was the one that initiated the fight, and he couldnt take one hit to the face? What a light weight. Okibi's face fell flat as she landed lightly on the surface of the water, watching as the bawling toad sunk beneath the water whence he came. "That lame." She muttered as she turned around to walk back to Tama and Seven. However, that large source of chakra she felt before was suddenly growing bigger, and rising to the surface. Fast.

Okibi whipped back around in time to see a much larger frog break through the water. Her eyes widened as 'Mama' kept going, making the girl crane her head backwards. A few choice words ran through the girls mind just then.

"Okibi! Get back here!" Seven yelled. She didnt bother hesitating and turned around on her heel, running across the water. She felt the water ungulate beneath her feet and looked over her shoulder to see a large wave coming their way. Damn! If Seven got caught in that he was done for!

The girl came to a skidding hault and turned back around once more, watching the wall of water come with great speed. She analyzed it quickly, and saw that it was large enough to reach halfway to the caverns ceiling. That would be close enough. "Tami! You ride wave! Seven, you jump!" Her words were short and lacked much description, but she pointed to try to make things clear. Her clawed finger was pointing at the hole theyd fallen from, and more specifically, the torches that lined its walls. If Seven could just get up there, he could grab onto one of those and Tama and she could focus on dealing with the toad.

The wave was pretty close now. Instead of riding at the top of the water, where the wave was likely to knock her over, Okibi dove into the lake and swam towards the oncoming wall like a fish (river otters made excellent swimming teachers). As the wave drew close, Okibi started paddling in the direction it was heading, letting it sweep her up with it. When it pulled her to its crest, Okibi climbed out of the water and stood on top of it, looking at the ceiling that was still a good distance away.

She could make that.

Pushing more chakra into her feet, Okibi boosted herself up and shot off like an arrow towards the rocky cavern top. She grabbed on with her claws and chakra, and started to race across its surface like a demented bug creature. The toad was her target.

(Tama, you have my permission to have Seven jump off your back and go for one of the torches. 8D)

This time the roles had been switched.

Tama, upon seeing the oddness of a frog crying then the emergence of a gigantic frog, was at a complete lost for words. Even as the wave came crashing after them he could formulate a single thought due to trying to get over the fact that frogs could cry. It wasn’t that he felt sorry for it or for the dozens of frogs he had dissected to learn the secrets of a creature’s organs, it was just the ludicrious idea that an amphibian had human traits that was tilting his mind awkward. Hearing Okibi cry a message of battle to him snapped him back into reality.
Ride the wave? Seriously? That just sounded like pure madness until he saw how close to the top of the cave it was. All he would have to do is get Seven up to that hole and he could jump from him to get away from the water that the man-beast had some strange weakness to.
Closing his bi-colored eyes Tama focused deep down into his core where the holy powers was being kept in check and saw that this battle was keeping his mind away from the thoughts that had just this morning kept it up in boil. His left hand reached for the gem on the right hand and turned the notch up to level five causing a golden energy to radiate from his flesh and empower his very being even further than it was already creating. The chakra around his feet seemed to glow even brighter causing the water to part around them as he hefted Seven up into a better position and dashed for the wave at speeds that should have been impossible for someone carrying the kind of weight Tama was.
His right foot touched the wave right as Okibi began to swim up the wave as if it was simple water impressing the young scientist as his feet started moving up one after the other climbing the wave like a spiral staircase until he reached the top around the same time that his partner did. She busted out of the wave and attached herself to the ceiling to come at the frog like a soda fueled spider monkey, while Tama hoisted Seven on his shoulders to allow the man to leap from them to grab onto a torch,
Hang on, we’ll be back,” Tama said unable to hold a grin back from the pun.

The boy leaped off the top of the wave back down to where the surface was calmer. The golden power that leaked out of him was starting to go out of control without the needed weight to keep it in full use but it was going to be needed in order to strike hard at this enemy. Tama placed his hands together to begin forming seals, speaking words that were coming into his mind behind each seal he made with his hands. This was, as he surmised, whatever creature he was channeling the power from speaking into his head offering words that would enhance the jutsu with the special energies he had flowing through his body. These words were all in some foreign language that seemed to make the air shudder with each passing mentioning of them. When he had finished the last seal white colored electricity surrounded his right fist, seemingly stemming from his ring. Lightning had always been an element he was wary about using due to it being the same element his father had controlled with such efficiency, but it was the only one he could conjure up out of the five without any problems and certainly the only one that was able to fuse itself with his holy powers apparently.
With a battle cry the boy didn’t rush into attack the gigantic frog, but instead slammed the flowing electrical power into the water beneath him which would turn the boy and his powers into something of a giant conductor for electricity. Since the water would only draw out the energy so far in the lake the boy allowed the connection of lightning and water to tap into his chakra coil to draw out as much power as needed to give the toad a zap worth remembering while Okibi gave it a smack it probably wouldn’t remember.

Resourceful in a moment of panic, or desperation?

Seven had been pushed aside, or rather, flung to the side and told to hold on for dear life. And he did so, clinging like a parasite would cling to the intestine for dear life, after its host had taken some medication to rid himself from the horrible worm creature. That wasn't really saying that, that's was how Seven looked, but rather explaining how his desperation looked due to his inability to swim through the gigantic blue. He would be totally hopeless in this battle, so it would appear. Although were the three really being resourceful here? Okibi, the runt of pack, surprised the gigantic frog so much so that she didn't even notice the little spawn swim through the threatening wave and then, miraculously, noticed the runt launching herself toward the ceiling. She, too, clung like Seven without the worry of falling; which would spell death for him.

Tama was another story, but perhaps it was a well-written collaboration of the two, as he charged up a fist full of electrical energy and pummeled his fist into the water. Did he mean to distract the Queen by using Okibi as a distraction, as clearly she had just launched herself into the air before the observant, yet ditsy, eyes. However, his attack was somewhat wild and irresponsible as it wouldn't seem to be that he was thinking about his own safety. He was in clear sight, and although the attack was successful in jolting the Queen with a quake of sharp pain; he was now out in the open, and the water now electrified; although the surface of the water would continually buzz with that unique energy for a moment, until it fizzed out due to the conductor lessened his attack until he stopped completely.

However, Mama wasn't so dull, she decided to brace the pain - submerging her flipper into the water and scooping a large volume of electrified water over Tama with a terrifying force - and as the energy fizzled from the water, the Queen relaxed at the ending of her skin being singed to a Frenchman's requirements. Noticeably, the Queen would adjust her crown to sit in a tilted position before she continued to assault the two humans. She would then go on to target the dangling Okibi, whom resembled a trapped fly, by exhaling a breath made purely of water. The water was formed by its chakra, which was unusual as it expanded after the Queen adjusted her crown, and rocketed towards Okibi: only three bullet however.

The plan to get Seven up to the torches succeeded. He dangled from one, but couldnt see anything from his position in the hole. That wouldnt do. He swung his legs back and forth, building up momentum, until he flung his body forward and dug his gloved hands into the opposite rock face. Using sheer strength alone, he climbed his way down the hall, towards the cavern's ceiling. Once at the holes exit, he swung himself to a low hanging stalactite and dug his hands in for dear life. He watched as the two human children battle the giant frog queen, taking things in from his higher vantage point. He noticed, after one attack, the frog adjusted the crown on her head, and the attack that came out next was considerably large. Was it just a coincidence that she adjusted her head wear just moments before? He didnt see anything happen to knock it off...

As Okibi dodged the three water bullets that were shot her way, Seven barked in beast tongue, hoping the frog didnt catch what he said. "Okibi! Go for her crown!" If nothing else, the girls attack would do some damage if the crown really had nothing to do with it.

Okibi's ears perked at the sound of Seven hollering at her. Go for the frogs crown? What for? She didnt have much time to contemplate why Seven would give her such instructions as she barely dodged the last water bullet. It caught her in the shoulder, hitting her with bruising force. With a wince, Okibi jumped onto a large stalactite, mimicking Seven's position. Without a second though, she reared her hand back and gave the rock formation a swift blow. A crack raced across the stalactites base, separating it from the ceiling. Still clinging to the roof with her hands, Okibi let her legs fall and used them to launch the large rock spike at the frog queen.

But that was just a distraction.

In quick succession, Okibi swung herself forward and flipped, slapping her feet onto the flattened surface where the stalactite once hung. She stood up, and looked at the frog and the falling rock. With her face set in determination, she crouched, and gathered all her springing power and a mass of chakra below her feet. Silently, she launched herself after the rock, hiding in its shadow.

Whether the frog knocked the rock away, or let it hit her, hopefully she wouldnt see the small girl behind it.

And that would spell out pain for her.

Okibi flipped through the air, building up force and momentum behind her legs as she brought them down. As she concentrated, the weight of her leg seemed to multiply, the gravity around it was building up. Without knowing, Okibi was using an advanced elemental technique.

"Super Fantastic Okibi KIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK!" The girl yelled, like some demented hero wannabe, as she brought the axe kick down on the frog queens head and crown. The force behind it was enough to crush earth.

(Heres a reference for Okibis Super Fantastic Kick! xP Link. It would look just like the second one! Nevermind the rest. :p)

Tama’s body started to go numb as he felt the dangerous electricity race up around him from the waters he was standing on. The boy simply gritted his teeth and bore it as he charged as much of the holy power as he could into his chakra coil in order to give the frog a good shocking. Of course it wasn’t enough as he should have known; the amphibian basically brushed it off.
Tired, numb, and panting the scientist looked up at his now aggro’d foe and watched in dismay as the giant flipper knocked another wave at the boy that he was unable to dodge; the extra electricity in the water just seemed like overkill.
His body tumbled over and over again underwater completely numb from the backfire of his father’s elemental inheritance. What where they going to do? Okibi had plenty of physical prowess but Tama was nigh useless in that category without a weapon. Now if he had his bastard sword here this would be a much simpler task since his holy energy had a way with molding itself into the weapon he wielded and added a nearly unnatural sharpness. He could probably manage to cut off the damn flipper that kept sending him tumbling underwater.

Beneath the waves his eyes were slowly starting to adjust as his slowly depleted of oxygen mind tried to adjust his strategies to face this gigantic cold-blooded creature. Ninjutsu was clearly out since all that managed to do was piss it off and activating any more holy power to continue to strengthen the ninja magic would cause a backlash against him as it had when he went on that rampage with Mikaboshi. That really only left the Taijutsu but he was useless in that unless he had a weapon…if only he could…
A glimmer at the bottom of the lake caught his attention. Tama’s glowing body created a light source in the deep dark lake that showed on the bottom a number of crystals all varying in sizes reflecting from it. It was a deep dive and a hell of a swim back up but…the right crystal could be turned into a weapon if he did it right.
The boy’s eyes scanned the bottom of the lake as he floated upside-down and before too long found himself a crystal that was in size about the same length as the sword he practiced with. Forcing his numb muscles into movement by shocking them with his powers he dived down, unleashing more and more oxygen to keep his body from being crushed by the sheer pressure of the depths. When he reached the bottom he grabbed the crystal and pushed with his feet against the sandy floor and broke it off at the base. He grabbed the end of the makeshift weapon and pushed off the floor to begin his ascent back up to the surface.

When he got up there Okibi was already beginning a counter attack. Tama’s head broke the surface to gasp in a huge breath of oxygen, his eyes watching her as she broke off the stalagmite and kicked it towards the frog; he was just in time to attempt in aiding her. Forcing chakra into his hand he pushed it against the surface of the lake to rush in towards the amphibian’s feet, dragging along the surface of the water a crystal that he was steadily applying his remaining energy into. The edge of the crystal began to glow a soft golden color that was turning a vaugly sharp object into a weapon sharp enough to actually do some harm.
Right as Okibi dashed behind the stalagmite Tama lifted the weapon from the water, reversed it, and pushed the palm of his right hand against the broken end to shove it down into the gigantic amphibian’s foot, the force of which caused said broken end to impale the scientist’s hand. He simply gritted his teeth and forced it down while preparing himself for the frog’s next attack that he hoped wouldn’t come. Anymore length of this battle would force him into tuning his ring up into a higher frequency…

"Enough," the oddity of the Med-Chief's voice broke through the war cries and the panting, "You're going to kill her!" Ikka added, both seemed not to be present while speaking, however. Okibi and Tama had managed to be that resourceful, that skilled, becoming armed and launching a combination at that the queen wouldn't be able to escape. A flurry of well-bred kikai would swarm into sight, collectively working together to hold up the rocks that dared to fall upon the queen. But then, what was the med-chief to do about that hefty kick that Okibi had performed, as she seemed to soar pretty heavily towards the crown. Well, bloody-well nothing, because Okibi landed a clear hit and hit the amphibian beast with one powerful direct attack; crushing the crown, and knocking it from its greened throne. "Okay, she's down, stop!"

Ikkadan would appear in front of Tama, taking the brunt of his make-shift blade - it piercing his flesh with a rather, uncouth subtly. What would Tama's reaction be to the boy standing before him, during a damn exam, with a crystal now lodged into his shoulder? What on, bloody, earth was going on at the minute? And that's not all, Kinnaku, the med-chief, would have already met with Okibi after she had landed her own, branded attack against the frog queen. Oba would grasp the girl, by the neck, only to throw her over to Tama's side - by which point, Ikka would have taken the impaled blade from his body and dropped it back into the body of H2o, holding its dramatic wound as the blood gushed.

Upon Okibi's attack, the queen, had an intense amount of pressed pleased upon her body. The force of her kick, caused the beast to be pushed down into the water, which embanked the queen and crushed her with a spectacular 'sloshing' sound. However, it would be quite unexpected of her to be propelled downward, until she smashed against the rocky, crystal coated bed of the cavern. A flurry of bubbles, which perfectly captured orbs of oxygen, waddled all the way back up from the bottom of the water till the top of the surface. The force of the beast making contact with the bedrock could be felt with a subtly large rumble. Although, it didn't even dare to emerge again...

"We won't let you hurt our darling queen!" Ikkadan would exclaim, tears building up, as he stomped his feet against the surface of the water. Kinnaku would also act oddly, wiping her eyes and exclaiming something similar: "Never, never, not our queen!"

What the actual fudge-cake was wrong with these two? Something was off...

Ikka and Oba began to sob heavily...

Something was very off...

It was odd how things could go from insane, bet-on-your-life, battle to the crazy pacifistic that had appeared before the two students as they basically made their last stand. Tama was so certain that if they could just beat the frog they would be able to find a way back up out of the cave, cause no distractions and what not; but then his crystal blade plunged deep into the shoulder of the proctor. There wasn’t much he could say or do considering that his hand was just as injured as Ikkadan’s shoulder but the wailing about ‘not hurting our queen’ was really off the wall. He was so distracted by the reactions brought from those two that he barely didn’t notice Okibi being flung from the top of the frog that was now sinking.
Forcing his hand away from impalement Tama pushed his heel into the water and dived to catch his test partner from being thrown deep into the water. He landed into the inky well but managed to keep the wild girl above the liquid as he helped her back into standing on the water before crawling back out of it himself with blood staining freaking everything. Ripping off a piece of his soaked baggy pants he tightly tied the bandage around the wound in an attempt to staunch the bleeding.

He wasn’t sure at all how to progress but he did keep a wary eye on the two who were sobbing near uncontrollably over them beating up the frog that was a part of their test; wasn’t it?
What did you expect? Tama spoke up with a bit of a harsh tone, “You dropped us into a cave with a couple of giant frogs that tried to attack us as far as I could see. We did what we were trained to do and fought back to defend ourselves. Did you expect us to get eaten?” The boy really didn’t do blubbering idiots crying over creatures that well. To him animals were really nothing more than just that – animals. In fact if he had seen Seven’s true form he probably wouldn’t have put as near as much effort into keeping the canine from sinking like a stone.
And besides,” Tama said trying to be a little more diplomatic, “The frog is still alive I’m sure so there is no reason to…cry like that. Now can we get out of this cave and continue on?

He turned his eyes to glance at Okibi for a bit of help since talking to people in trying to calm them down wasn’t really his bag. Hell he was kind of upset that he lost that crystal the proctor dropped back into the bottom of the lake; it could have been turned into something.
