Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Hoshi was deep in the forest, so the said location of someone named Shu, if he wasn't mistaken. Junko Sensei had encouraged this meeting if Hoshi was to seek out great power and control, over that power. Of course, his curiosity and desires would collide and that's what brought him here, deep in the ancient forest.

He was dressed in normal attire, white kimono top, white lost fitting pants, a grey apron and his Kumo headband across his forehead. Once he found himself surrounded by trees, vegetation and the sound of rushing water he would stop. He figured he had trekked far enough into this wilderness and decided this would be his resting point. Shouyu walked up to the nearest tree and sat down at its base.

He would cross his legs, place his hands intertwined together in his lap and wait. It was only a matter of time, hopefully soon. Shouyu was alert, sitting upright observing the environment from its creatures, to the forest sounds, and the look itself. Shouyu continued sitting in thought, eyes wandering.

Over the past couple of weeks, Shu has patiently searching for new students. It wasn't until that missing children incident in De Ceviate Attonbitus that has lead to be a bit more urgent. The boys that Shin had presented to him earlier we of great promise with their ostensible aptitude for the spiritual arts. They were able to keep up for the most part during their last mission so when they offered Shu more potential students he calmly considered. He was expected to meet a young chunnin ANBU in training in the deep trenches of the forest close in the early evening, but before he could do that he had to complete all of the mundane classes for the academy before embarking. The boy would have to wait for nearly an hour before he would be greeted by a deep and engrossing voice. Shu’s silhouette figure stood upright against a tall branch as the setting sun glimmered behind him.

What business do you have with me, boy?” Shu said succinctly knowing full aware of the boy’s reasons.

Shouyu heard nothing, seen nothing, smelled nothing, couldn't even sense anything. Then in the silence of the trees, a voice rang out. His eyes grew wide, he flinched a bit. From there he directed his view to the direction he heard the voice. His eyes scanned he forest until he saw a shadowy figure, leaning against a tree. Hoshi stood up immediately, instantly determining it was Shu, the one he was suppose to meet.

"I've... I've coming seeking to find strength!"

His voice was a bit frantic, or overly excited. He remembered to heed Junko's warning of Shu's power. Hoshi would bow in response, falling to his knees and lowering his head to reveal his neck. His hands were out in front of his head, as if in a manner of request.

"My job is to protect. My sole purpose is to protect. From the shadows, with resilience. To do so I need wits and power. I want to become stronger. A pillar of resolve for those that I love. I'd give my life and the life of my enemies to see this come to fruition."

Hoshi would plead with him, his eyes to the floor. His voice was determined and cracking from his ongoing stage through puberty. Hoshi's resolve could be felt through his words, he only hoped that Shu could feel the intensity of his passions.

The young boy stood up as he venerated himself before the ephemeral ANBU. The boy voice cracked as he bravely responded to the man's question. He wanted nothing more than power as if this was not something Shu hasn't heard over the many decades as a shinobi. Ostensibly, every shinobi wanted power but didn't know how to obtain it. Some would obtain power politically like the previous kage or through sheer power. Among all of these things, the one thing that rarely feel out a shinobi's lips was the desire for wisdom.

"A tool can not protect if it does not know its weakness. Do you know your own weakness?" The man said as he dropped out of the tree as he revealed himself to the young boy. He towered over the boy with his stout body which was wrapped in nothing very old ANBU guards. His countenance was covered in a bandages revealing on his dark brown eyes that glittered in the setting sun.

Hoshi's eyes followed the man as he leapt down from the tree. He was adorned an ANBU wear. For the moment, Hoshi sized him up before straightening himself. Hoshi then returned his gaze to the floor before rising. His words rang through his ears, and it did spark a question of which he first stumbled.

"My weakness?"

Hoshi looked down at the ground once more. This time in deep thought, illusionary tricks such as genjutsu and maybe his own big heart would be his greatest weakness. His brows cringed together. What could he really mean by this, and what was he trying to figure out.

"My only weakness is myself. Only I can hold myself back. Day by day I seek to further my knowledge in all things, and sharpen my edges everywhere. Not just physical strength, but the mental capacity and emotional sturdiness that will be needed for my path. I am my greatest weakness, that and... Genjutsu."

Hoshi looked toward the flow again, bowing once more.

Well said.” Shu responded. It was surprising to see a modicum of wisdom within this boy most would have given some taciturn speech that only the cryptics would understand. Clearly, this boy was ready to learn not like how Shu was when he was the boy’s age. “A wise warrior once said that if you know yourself and your enemy you should fear no battle. Today you will know both.”

He walked toward the boy stopping at the center. He raised his hands and gripped his hand as if clutching an invisible ball. The air begin to feel tense as blue electricity cracked the air. The blue light jumped between his fingers like little fairies. Slowly but surely the blue electricity turned into a ball as bright as the stars that could blind anyone who stared.

I gave this same energy to your previous master. It is 90% spiritual energy and 10% physical energy. Spiritual energy cannot be see by the untrained eye so I mixed it with physical energy so that you can see. You will absorb this energy into your being which open up the spiritual energy inside of you. This is not the conventional way and you may not survive the process. Are you prepared?

Things to keep in mind. Mechaically I am giving you a cursed seal you may choose to accept it. Make sure you note this in your training. You are free to choose whatever curse seal you want. IC the curse seal is not visible.I am just using it as a mechanic for RP purposes. Also, your character will face insurmountable amount of pain that is going to tear apart his body and spirit. It is basically purgatory so RP accordingly.

Hoshi kept his head down until he heard the footsteps of the man walking forward. Slowly, his head would rise so that his gaze could meet his ankles. The mere presence of this Shinobi was trembling, his shaky hands would reveal that. Shouyu would combat this mentally and Gina fingers would dig into the grassy earth and steady himself.

Higher and higher his gaze rose until he saw the sphere of spirit and physical energy combine into a visible form. Shu explained this all in articulated detail. Hoshi's jaw had dropped a bit in admiration of this creation of energy. His eyes burned from its incandescent light and he forced himself to look away, shutting his eyes tightly.

Shu's final words were a warning. He would beget the question of Shouyu's preparation. Another life or death, fight or flight moment for the young Shinobi. For just a second, Shouyu's breath would shorten and he would heave short breaths rapidly until he ultimately held inhaled deeply and held it. In this moment of consciousness he accepted his fate, life or death. For he had brought himself here, so he must follow through. That was his ninja way. To endure!

With a long and slow exhale, he would look the man in what he believed to be was has eyes from behind the bandages.

"I am ready. If this power seeks to ruin me... I will conquer it, for my convictions are greater. I am READY!"

Shouyu then stood, pushing himself off the ground. Stoic and silent he would stand there awaiting the moment. His face was emotionless and still, he was ready to absorb the orb of energy and so he would grab the sphere and slam it into his torso.

His first reaction was a pause, his jaw dropped and immediately his entire body went completely numb. He was blinking and this moment, lost in all ways. It then felt like his stomach was turning and as if his blood began to reverse its blood flow at a rapid rate. This was followed by a loud screech from from Hoshi as an overwhelming pain swept through his body leaving the boy curled up. He was a ball on the ground in the fetal position holding his stomach, eyes shut.

His screeches continued as he rolled over on his back trying to contain this energy that spread through his body like wildfire infecting his cells with rivograted energy. This raw energy was so new to his body it seemed like it was trying to expel it as a virus rather than accept it as a blessing. This internal battle continued as he wailed, paused holding his breath, failing to contain himself and wallowing aloud once more.

This happenened until the boy began to flash light blue rather frequently. The energy from the ball was attempting to unleash his inner gates but he wouldn't allow it without unless it was from his own volition. This power sought to overcome the child, while the child thought the opposite, he would continue to fight.

The boy was not ready for the ensuing pain that was about to come upon him. As he absorbed the energy his body vibrated and convoluted like a rattling puppet. The boy did not bellow out in pain like Junko and Aiko but he did screeched like a slain dog. The pain was for more unbearable to the boy considering his lack of training and experience. It was even more likely that the boy would die right here in this forest and Shu would have to explain the boy’s lengthy disappearance, paperwork that Shu did not want to deal with. If there was anything that Shu and Shin would agree on was dealing with unneeded politics. Despite this Shu was not going to retract anything as there was very little time to waste.

Shu walked closer to the boy. “Have you forgotten what I just said? You must know yourself. Stop resisting the pain and become one with it. This is not a battle of strength but a battle of your own spirit.” He said lifted the boy back onto his feet.

Wrenched over like a hunk of dead meat. Hoshi would begin to take heed to the words of Shouyu. He began to embrace the pain while not letting it overcome him and reduce his fighting spirit to nothing. The pain was agonizing, and he winced, screamed out, rolled over some more. He released his own chakras, which began to merge with the spirit energy, connecting and intertwining. Shouyu finally felt like things were easing up although the pain was still immense.

His shrieks grew quieter, into mumbles and small curses. He fidgeted, twitched, his eyes were wide and he was sweating heavily. His breaths became long and deep, though with each inhale it was sharp pain in his lungs that almost killed him.

"Tch!"

Shouyu brought himself to all fours, trembling at the pain which was now dying down. He seemed like he was struggling for hours as time passed by during this fight. He was becoming exhausted and sore from the internal battle. He kept gasping for air, finally looking at Shu, this was short lived before he blacked out, snoring.

The young boy acquiesce acquiesce toward the pain as he continued to hold on to his small body. Shu could see the spiritual energy violently surge through his body like a strong circuit going in and out as he continued to struggle with the energy but as time went on he was able to control the energy.

Shu examined the boy as he eyes underneath his clad masked shifted toward him. “Such endurance” Shu pondered to himself. There was a better way than simply thrusting a bunch of energy, in fact, it took several years for Shu and his brother to even gain access to their spiritual energies. This technique that Shu was using could kill even the most trained chakra users so it was very unlikely that a small boy like Hoshi would ever survive it. Yet, here was bearing the immense energy coursing through his body. The process lasted for nearly hour before Hoshi’s body fell on to the ground like a rock no longer conscious but still alive.

Shu got up and pressed his fingers onto the body feeling the pressure of the boy’s breathing. At least, he didn’t have to worry about bringing back a corpse to the village.

He lifted the boy onto his shoulders and disappeared.
