Appearance:
- Reddish orange hair hangs just above his shoulders. Usually slicked back, but has a tendency to become ruffled in battle.
- Yama's body is home to a countless number of scars, most of them on his torso and back.
- Muscles galore! Yama's vast battle experience and harsh training shows on his body.
- Almost never wears a shirt. Sometimes he'll have a dull cloak draped over his shoulders.
- Shoes are a no-no. He likes to be in constant contact with the earth.
- Scruff covers his face, resulting in a rough half-beard.
- His chakra mark is always on display, acting as a regular tattoo most of the time.
Personality:
- Cheerful. As long as he's got a drink or a woman on his arm, he's got no worries.
- Collected. When serious matters arise, he's calm as can be.
- Headstrong. Like his nephew, Yama follows his heart more often than his head.
- Imposing. His stature speaks for itself.
- Loud. His voice is naturally gruff so he's quite audible when he speaks.
- Proud. Of his family. Loves bragging.
- Tenacious. Even more-so than Mako (if that's even possible).
- Wise. Behind his seemingly care-free demeanor lies a world of reason.
Other Information:
- Titanic Physical Strength. Though, if held off of the ground (or if he just happens to be far away from it) it wanes a bit. He's still ridiculously strong...just not AS strong as he would be otherwise.
- Built like a wall. Not quite invulnerable, but very hard to faze.
- His anger isn't explosive, but it reeks of dread. If pushed too far, watch out.
- Yama is a VERY hearty drunk. He loves his poison and his poison loves him.
- Rugged charms and bulging muscles make him quite popular with the ladies.
- Generally ditzy. This is part-facade, part-inherent bad luck.
- Collateral Damage MASTER. Mako may wreck stuff with his silly antics, but Yama can reshape the earth.
- While not a master, Yama is fairly skilled at Fūinjutsu.

History:
A former Jounin of the Hidden Mist, womanizer, and all-around drunk, Yama is a well-rounded man. And by that, I mean that he's not well-rounded in the slightest. He's done a lot of things during his years of being a shinobi...not all of them good. But he loves Mako unconditionally. He may not be the 'ideal' father figure or know the most about parenting, but his intentions are always geared towards what's best for his family.
In his youth, Yama was much like his nephew. A lot like his nephew, actually. Brash, naive, and full of adventure. But whereas Mako had an appetite for food and fighting, his uncle's interests were more...carnal. Oh! And liquor, did I mention liquor? Anyway, decades of service and a colorful shinobi career served to strengthen Yama, but it also (amazingly) mellowed him out some and allowed him to mature. Though when he's playing grab hands with a local waitress it's sort of hard to tell...
As far as his connection with Mako goes, in short, he's his uncle. They aren't related by blood, but that's what's he's always been to him. When the kid was only seven years old he was left in Yama's care, and ever since then the older ninja has looked out for him. And by "looked out for him"...I mean put him through hellish training that endangered his life almost daily. Dumped him by himself on uncharted islands, left him alone in the wilderness...he even forced the child to fight him from time-to-time. Sure it was a little unorthodox, but in the end it worked out! Every challenge was an opportunity for Mako to become stronger. And Yama made damn sure he had PLENTY of challenges.
