Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kureji threw a piece of gum into his mouth and started chewing it as he approached the Gates. The previous owner of this body was a smoker so there was always a bad taste in his mouth. The sun had just started to rise, but otherwise, still very much dark outside as he stuffed his hands in his pockets. Few leaves were starting to fall as the, well, fall season is starting to come around the corner. A slight chill ran down his spine from a stray wind, but otherwise, he didn't really feel anything.

The crazed man is in a new body, so he doubts anyone will know that he is the alias that he had last used when visiting this place, unless someone had scanned his chakra without his knowledge. He wondered if he should keep with the alias of Kota, come up with a new one, or maybe even risk it all and use his real name. Either way, he would approach the Gates and simply stand idly by.

Nao was tired, so tired at this moment... and he was going over his work while on guard duty. The work started to stack up... "Hmm someone at the gates?" He asked as he started to walk towards the gates. "Hello, papers and reason please?" He would ask, his mannerism had changed a bit Those who knew him from before could easily tell he had grown a bit colder.

His eyes showed that he was tired right at the moment, but still had his guard up. The scaled on his arms were there for protection in case he had to do something. "please?"

Ayeka sighed as she rolled a shoulder, her steps dragging with how tired she was. Ayeka had been spending the morning walking the wall around Konoha and marking spots that would need to be repaired for when the Hokage requested reports for budget allocation. Fortunately for the girl she had just completed her survey and had also completed her circuit atop the wall by arriving on top of the villages gate just in time to see Nao meeting with a new visitor to the village.

Taking a seat with her legs swinging over the edge of the gate Ayeka watched from her perch high above just encase the visitor was up to no good.

As he blew a bubble with his gum, he noticed a man approach him. Just his luck, the one he was looking for! Out of the corner of his eyes, he saw a girl spying on them. His attention went back to the man before him. He held up his empty hands. "My b, I don't have any papers. As for my reason though." He points at Nao. "You, my friend, are the reason. I'd like your thoughts on a certain subject. But if I am to grasp better at understanding you, I think a battle will suffice as we talk."

He let that sink in before he continued, "Believe it or not, Nao, but we had met a while back. You left quite an impression on me. Back then I was plagued by these crystals that covered all around my body, and despite that, you treated me the same as if I wasn't some kind of monster. Very few people can be accepting."

Nao soon noticed the new head jounin, he had gotten a note of it a moment earlier. I never had the time to congratulate her, but this scene didn't ask for that chat in the meantime. The thought of this being a routine standard thing was soon waved. "I... am your reason?" He questioned as he saw the finger pointed towards him. Instantly trying to figure out where he deserved karma from, knowing him these days it could be a few things, to say the least. "Understand... me? I don't even understand me..." He muttered as he would sigh, thinking about things over and wondering what exactly he had done to make him that special, but nothing came to mind.

"Ahhh, I remember you now. Iori Kota... If I remember correctly." He would eye the man and walk a circle around him. "Glad you got that sorted out, may I ask how?" He would question but then remember what the other person wanted. "Ah... About a battle... sure, but I would like that out of children's eyes. They already endured much lately, especially with fatigue." He spoke and would say more about the head jounin up there, who maybe was still trying to find her way.

"It hurts to be rejected, but what hurts more is when you get rejected so many times, yet you're still hoping to be accepted... That is something I know too, so I vouched not to judge, not to try to fill gaps I don't know. Things happen, sometimes for a reason, I know that very well... My Kami knows that very well as he knows two types of me. Some could say, I reincarnated, some could say I twisted time. You never know someone's story until you ask for it. So please don't worry, if you ever need a listening ear, a hot meal or just someone near, don't hesitate to send an owl. After all... Lonelyness is the worst enemy."

Ayeka gently ran fingers through her long hair as it hung loosely over her shoulder seemingly trying to calm her own nerves with her ebony locks as the two ninja below spoke about their own trauma and angst. Ayeka herself completely understood their perspectives as she herself had been sold into slavery by her clan only to be rescued by her brother who then essentially abandoned her again as he completely disappeared from her life. However the village itself had stopped Ayeka from feeling isolated and falling into dark thoughts which had helped the girl push forward and now she focused on helping the village in anyway she could. The boy Nao identified as Kota seemed to have if not overcome his trauma had at least found some stability which could not said for Nao as their words were filled loneliness.

However this was not the time to be expounding on ones past as the village's security was at stake here so as the two spoke Ayeka prepared to intervene by landing down in front of Kota if he made any attempt to enter the village.

Kureji would listen to Nao speak, aware that the girl that he had seen earlier had been watching him. Was it loneliness that he was feeling or something different? He shrugged, "Maybe I am feeling a bit on the lonely side. My two friends are somewhere around the world living their lives the way they want. Though I'd want to rock out with em, I respect their decisions in finding their own ways through life. As for loneliness being the worst enemy," He shook his head, "I'd have to disagree. Betrayal from someone you look up to and have immense respect for. That'd make anyone go to their lowest of the low and down in the dumps."

"As for how I cured myself of the crystal affliction, it's rather simple, though many people would frown upon how I did it."
He paused, partly to let have Nao and the girl take a quick guess, more so for theatrical feeling, "I transferred my soul into a body of a dead man. Before you all go and stereotyping forbidden techniques and people who use it, I don't just go out and grab some random guy. I choose people who won't be missed. This body, for example, was a lowly grunt part of a criminal organization part of making shady deals and whatnot."

With that, one of his big secrets is out. How old is he really? The body itself looks like a twenty-year-old, however, Kureji himself is twenty-five. He had also hinted that he has done this type of thing before. He wondered how the two will react to what he had just said. Moreso, he wondered if what Nao had said will hold true now that Kureji had admitted to doing forbidden techniques. "If you're still up for the fight, Nao, I'll let you pick the time and area." There was one thing that stuck out to him. What Nao had said about children of Leaf enduring much lately. Has something happened here? He wondered if his father has been busy doing whatever he wants now that he has the political power of a Sennin now. He knows better than anyone that Akkuma is a powerful force that uses others for his needs and wants. Who knows what the man is doing now as Sand'd Sennin.

Hearing the method that the other used... Nao frowned a little but soon found himself thinking about how to use this in the medical field in case people needed to be saved. "So... the body, in this case, should need to be fresh to do so..." After that he started to mutter, already a little lost in thought of progressing. "Instead of healing a heart back, revamping tissues and get the blood flow going... I know that was painful as I tapped into my reserves... Shortening my life... I know the soul transfers... might be useful in that situation... Transferring a soul would probably require a Yamanaka... or something of that origin... Maybe a puppet master..?" He would hold still after that, holding his chin and looking to the boy... Only to snap back into reality. "A- ah sorry... So this guy was someone that won't be missed, well... Glad you found a way many wouldn't." He would compliment him, after all... Making an enemy now would be foolish for more than one reason.

"How about... A week time, east of the crater city..? There is still some barren there, so we won't damage nature either around there. Ah... if you need a pass in, if you promise like the last time I won't mind letting you in again." he would comment, hoping that the other remembered their promise.

Kureji merely listened to Nao's musings on his way to get rid of the crystalline curse that had plagued his previous body. He merely smiled when he mentioned about being a Yamanaka and a puppet master might make soul transfers easier, not knowing that Kureji is currently a Yamanaka, and he has had a history of being a master of puppetry. Finally, Nao gave him his answer, a week from today, in the plains near Crater City.

"Works for me. As for a promise. Yeah, I'll be on my best behavior." He actually does sound like he means it. His mind flashed back to Wind Country. His creation, no, his daughter will be waiting for him. Being on good behavior means that he'll not be stopped when he decides to make his way back to Wind Country. This fight he wants with Nao acts as both help him decide on his own future, along with test his own might to see if he has what it takes to go against his father.
