Forced Entry The Devil's Work III - "Small stone, big river..."

Shusuke thought he was ready for a mission like this. He didn’t realize who he was up against and before he realized it the fight was over for him. Despite trying to send out a plethora of Genjutsu he seemed to be unable to find this intruder to veil his world with the Yamanaka’s falsities. And before Shusuke could adjust his course of actions, the world went black.

[Inuzuka Keiyaku]

Keiyaku and Morutobu, though both preparing their best shot together, barely had a second to react before the world was rent apart. The two of them had just barely gotten into their battle stance, Moru changing form via the human-beast clone jutsu, when they both heard an ethereal voice, taunting them.

"What are y-"

A roaring, rotating orb of gravity had just exploded with the force of a bomb, sending Keiyaku and Moru both tumbling head-over-arse in the opposite direction, knocking the wind out of the both of them. The battle had barely begun and already Keiyaku felt battered half to death. Was one of his arms broken? No, okay...

"Moru, let's-"

He was cut off again when he felt himself grabbed by something; both he and Moru were being restrained by tendrils protruding from some dark mass in the ground. Truly, now more than ever, he was quaking with fear... Was this the end? Was he just going to have a swift and easy death, or was he going to be dragged, kicking and screaming, into some kind of hellish netherworld. All he could do was struggle and slice to try and shrug off whatever creature was holding him. If he could do that, he could get back to his main job of trying to tear this Missing-Nin's bastard face off.

[Kiko]

The armored shinobi opened his closed fist, the unconscious Reaper falling to the ground as the tendrils of the shinigami released their suspension. Yong turned to face the girl and her small turtle creature as she dashed toward her Inuzuka compatriot still held fast by the forbidden jutsu Gate of Enma's grasp. The small girl's skill in tactical assessment and the Inuzuka's recovery impressed the old shinobi as he watched the youngsters in action, the now obviously Kaguya girl's blade struck through the shinigami's shadow and into the flesh of her ally beneath, slightly wounding the one named Jackal but freeing him from the bind that had held the ANBU in place, the shinobi and his transformed partner landing together and quickly regaining their battle composure. A smile spread over the concealed face, he had another message to deliver and this Contract Creature could be the perfect messenger. Yong lifted his hand once more, his chakra infiltration of the supernatural Contract creature named Crush was complete and absolute, the small turtle helpless as it contorted backward violently with a sudden hyper-flexion of muscles and tendons, the creature's eyes would roll into its head but Yong knew that it was still conscious as it contorted in pain.

"Y'AI..."

As the first sound of the word came out at barely more than a whisper their power would be felt in the soul of those that could hear it, this was forbidden magic of the darkest kind but he meant to send a message to those who dwelt in the realms of the gods... 'I am sorry little one...'

"NG'NGAH..."

The Sage of Time moved his hands outwards extended away from his body at a forty-five-degree angle, his unarmoured fingers began a complex series of esoteric handseals, each moving in time with the other forming a complex pattern of independent movements. The small turtle contract lifted gently off the ground through the sheer surge of cursed chakra Yong was unnaturally tearing from its chakra system, its small arms moving to the same position as Yong's, its muscles tight as the contract creature impotently struggled against the will of the Sage of Time, the chakra in is small body quickly exhausted though the chakra surge did not stop, quickly ravaging its cells of the life energy binding it to this realm.

"H'EE-L'GEB..."

The young Kaguya gripped her weapon tighter, her knuckles whitening as she realized what was happening. The child tried to slip from Yong's line of sight as Jackal and his doppelganger pup moved into action, each coming at the intruder from a different angle, the killer intent behind the attack evident as Yong quickly calculated the trajectory of the attack. The Sage of Time did not seem to move as the blows swung toward him, instead, he seemed to flicker in the blink of an eye to be just out of reach of the attack, his focus still on the contract creature Crush. Then the Kaguya girl, her bone-coated weapon singing through the air as she moved with a flurry of blows, every attack swung with unerring accuracy and every single attack meeting with nothing but the air where the armored shinobi had been a moment before, the handseals did not stop just as the chakra surge tearing through Crush did not stop, every moment the cellular destruction within its body would become more and more painful. The Kaguya threw a canister of gas which flew through the air before hitting the wall behind Yong, her hand reaching to her headset as she said some words Yong could not quite make out, perhaps backup was on the way? It made no diference...

"F'AI THRODOG..."

The Sennin of Konoha must have been able to sense what was about to happen as he quickly dashed towards the Inuzuka ANBU, a chakra seal placed on the combatant with a practiced skill that impressed the seasoned warrior. The young Kaguya and Inuzuka were relentless, though Yong would not let himself be hit a second time, each flicker moving him just out of range of their unending attacks. His handseal sequence suddenly ceased, his fingers on both hands contorted into esoteric seals as they ceased their movements rigidly. Reality screamed for a moment as the creature named Crush was torn from existence, the mystical essence holding its body together torn apart by the final surge of chakra as its life essence returned to the contract realm it was summoned from.

"UAAAH!"

The world flashed white for a moment as the violence of his attack once more tore reality, though this time Nao seemed more ready, the very earth moving itself to protect the younglings as he himself leaped backward out of the explosion's initial pulse of kinetic force. The sage closed his fists, and the surge of energy pulsed again. The earth once more moved to protect, though this time to protect Nao himself and leave the others vulnerable to the sudden burst of gravitational energy. The attack propelled the Kaguya girl against the wall of the gates with a sickeningly wet crack, the child sliding to the ground unmoving. The Inuzuka likewise was slammed back against the wall with equal force, his body falling broken to the ground before the seal placed by the Sennin flared into life, healing chakra flooding the young ANBU's body with energy, enough to keep the boy conscious though Yong was unsure if this was a blessing or a boon to the young ANBU as keeping him conscious only meant that the Armoured Shinobi would have to strike him again, the potential for death growing grater every second the conflict lasted. The medical Sennin Nao ran over to the young girl as Yong stood motionless amongst the carnage. The girl's labored breathing was accompanied by a wet bubbling as the Sennin attempted to place a similar seal on the small crumpled form. It seemed to have little to no effect, the frustration was evident as Nao turned to Yong and let out an attack of negative energy, the chakra that had been used to heal only moments before now meant to harm. Yong spun out of the way of the attack, quickly returning to a passive stance, his hands behind his back as he stood motionless in the momentary reverie in the carnage, the battlefield strangely quiet for the moment as the two adults separated, Nao standing defiantly between the Missing Ninja and the entrance to Konoha Village...

Could the Sennin do enough to stop the Missing Ninja? Could they stall until whatever backup was coming arrived? What then? The Sage of Time smiled behind his mask as he noticed yet more crows gathering behind them at the edge of the great forest ready for the midnight feast... The Gods were watching... And Yong meant to send a message...

 

[Yume Izanami]

Mitsuha gripped her rapier... She knows that she can't do much. However... Her eyes flitted over to the one called Jackal. It might hurt him, but at least he will be free from the bind that is holding him. Running over to him, she said, "I'm sorry." And drove her rapier through the bind and slightly into her ally. Once struck, the bind gave way. Looking around, she knows that they can't hold this formation for long. Bringing a hand to her headset, she called out. "S-Somebody! There's an attack on the Gates! A masked man in armor!"

With that done, she focused once more on Yong. She would control her breathing and grip her weapon once more. Using her own life force to coat the weapon in bone she then performed a dance to try and slip away from the masked man's sight. She would launch a volley of attacks, hoping that at least one would hit. But to her disappointment, not a single one had hit the man. Frustrated, she would throw a tear gas, hoping to disrupt the man's chakra, but he had effortlessly dodged out of the way.

Crush had managed to heal Nao, but... He suddenly said, "What the-?" And poofed out of existence.

Anger swelled up in the young Kaguya as she launched one more attack. And just as she launched her attack, a sphere of chakra energy appeared right in front of her. Fear in her eyes, but then a group of branches came out and blocked the attack. There was a faint time that relief was on her face. That is, until she felt herself be propelled backwards and crash into the Village Gates.

Her head... She struggled to move... her head felt hot and sticky... Her vision was going in and out as she tried to reach for her rapier... But.... everything went dark.

[Inuzuka Keiyaku]

"ARGH!"

Keiyaku snarled as he felt the bone-wrought weapon slice into his side a little bit as the young Kaguya girl worked to free him from the grasp of the mysterious creature holding him. It let himself and Morutobu go, allowing both of them to swerve right back into action. He nodded his thanks at the girl before turning to Moru again, communicating with him using a series of snarls and growls, hiding the contents of their plans from the masked attacker. First, they would both launch a charging attack, aiming for the man's head, following up with a gut-punch intending to scribe a Leech Seal upon their target, and then finally, a high-speed slash, all in quick succession. No matter what the duo did they, nothing seemed to land.

"UAAAH!"

The sudden roar from the masked man was accompanied by a violent, unseen force, throwing Moru and Keiyaku off their feet and paws, sending them flying against a wall. His vision had gone blurry, and was clouding over for a moment. Then, as the Sennin's seal activated, he regained some degree of clarity, spared by being knocked unconscious by the faintest margin. He looked about frantically, and spotted Mitsuha now lying unconscious on the floor. What good was it to throw himself across this beast's path now, when we could barely stand and was certainly no match for in the first place. Struggling to get to his feet again, he would go to the passed out forms of Mitsuha and Shusuke, trying to pull both of them out of harm's way.

[Sazuki Nao]

Many things were happening and dspite all his attempts to keep the kids safe... at least he had made sure no one had died yet, but the small girl wasn't looking so good. He was trying to plan things, trying to think but his head was full and empty at the same time. "Why.. We had good together, smoked, it looked like you were a down to earth guy. WHo... Maybe in the future even could become a buddy..?" he knew well that, he couldn't help that anymore. They weren't able to become buddies now that he had attacked kids. From the looks of it now, severely harmed one. He quickly went to her to feel if she still had a pulse. Thank hoot she did. 'that is a good sign at least... she is alive, now we can quickly go to the others.'he thought as he checked the others quickly. Once he got to the inuzuka boy he would comment to him. "Inuzuka boy. try to flee and get out f here... I will try to shield you, but the seal I had placed earlier has already activated and cannot help you further."

The battle was evolving perfectly, the armoured Shinobis control of the battlefield was absolute. His genjutsu penetrated through the Sennin's defenses over and over again, Yong knew it was only a matter of time before the Sennin would fall to him too. The Sennin's defenses were formidable, with the amount of natural energy at his disposal it seemed like his chakra reserves were near endless but Yong knew his weakness now for it mattered not at all how much the flesh would knit if the mind was broken...
Nao looked saddened as he spoke with Yong, questioning why he would attack, they had even shared good moments together. Yong hesitated for a moment, his eyes locked on the Sennin of Konoha.

"In war logical men will kill logical men... It is the way of things..."

The armoured Shinobi walked backwards slowly, his hands once more outstretched at his sides.

"Takeshi said Konoha was ready for what is to come but it was a lie... A lie as much to you and the other Sennin as it was to us."

Yong indicated towards the body littered gates, eight unconcious Konohan Shinobi and one dead ANBU, the Sennin alone the last bastion of defence between Yong and the village propper, Konohan blood soaking into the soil of its gates once more.

"Was it this? Children? You mistake my intentions here friend Nao... If I wished them dead they would be... I have stayed the hand of death because I saw the toll my daughter had on your mind when she left bodies in her wake, when I saw your face I wished no more on you, Bright soul of Konoha, Sennin Nao... Truth be told I saw the phantom of Takeshi, Yuki and another here when I struck the first blow... It seems the gods have played a trick on me just as they have on you...

For your sake friend Nao I will report my mission as a failure, take your wounded and care for them... have rights for the dead... but know this Sennin, because I have failed they will send more in my place. The tide will come, Konoha would better have more than children as its guardians if it is to resist being washed away completely."

And with that, Yong flickered away, no more explosions, no more pain. The crows looked confused as they disappointedly flew back in to the forest, there would be no feast tonight.
