Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Roleplay:
Being a medic or shaman is something completely different from the life and job of Shinobi. A Shinobi’s life was about death, fighting, and killing. A medic’s and shaman’s life was one of research, healing, and protecting lives. In some ways these roles were the exact opposite to the lives of shinobi. Still, it was a way of life that Hissori had choosen to live, and it seemed other people had chosen to live.

One such person was a young lady name Shikame Kitsune. A shaman in training who had learned from the best now wanted to take the next step in her life. Unfortunately for her, the recent shake up with the disappearance of Keita led to her often being looked over, and over again. It seemed though that maybe fate had finally smiled on her when it came to her exam. Unfortunately, like most upper level medical exams, these exams came at the price of others.

Stepping from the road Hissori’s green eyes looked out on the devastation. It seemed a mudslide from a side of a large hill destroyed a small village. All around him, Hissori could see turned up roofs, and destroyed houses. To the ears he could hear a set the groans of the traumized and the weeping of the ones that survived. It was a site that horrified most regular people, was caused by some shinobi, and standard for medics to clean up the aftermath. Turning to the other shaman in training and took a breath.

“This is what our life is… Unfortunately, most of our medics and shamans are out on missions so basically you and I are the only ones here that know how to save people. I will be out recovering survivors from the mud. You and Buru will be in the trauma center working. If you need Buru ask him, he understands you.” He said before growling something to Buru which seemed to be some private language before starting off to the trauma clinic. It would seem that Hissori was letting this girl work basically by herself, so the question be where in the trauma center would see go first?

In the make shift trauma unit there seemed to be three people. One a person that looked relatively unharmed, but had a distant look in his eyes. Two, a women covered in blood with only one civilian trying to get the bleeding to stop. Finally, there seemed a be a child pale and shaking.

By Kitsune's side, Buru sat looking up to her waiting for an order.

It seemed like a rather life or death struggle for the shaman in training. Still she was doing her best to think, and it seemed the best course of action in her mind was to get Buru to get Hissori. Giving the order to go get his masters, Buru darted off to get his master.

It only took about two minutes for the dog and the man to return. On Hissori’s labcoat, there was dirt and blood. His face was covered with dirt as well, and his was covered with a bit of dust from the collapsed houses, and he had a concerned look on his face. What could have caused him to be summoned? What might be the problem? From his minor communication with Buru it was something bad.

“What is the problem?” He asked in his baritone voice as he looked at her. Soon he could tell. Kitsune had made it so she had altered herself to save a young boys life, and he knew he would have to think quick to save them. Coming up with his strategy, he rolled up his sleeves and went to work.

“I will need you to lie down Kitsune, what was the problem with the boy? And are you okay?” He asked her as he waited to see if she was going to comply or had her own mind to tell him what to do.

Green eyes flinched a bit as he looked at watched him. It seemed his smooth talking was not going to work. It seemed that this catgirl’s was still going to die. He had to think fast, and at the moment the medic was starting to draw a blank. How many times had he saved a life with quick thinking in the hospital? How many times had he actually been good at this? Now though he could not think of anything. God he hated being in the field.

With only the option to listen to him, Hissori stood there biting his lip and nodded. It made sense, what he was saying, so he couldn’t really do anything but nod at him. His green eyes watched the catgirl fall to the ground as he watched her feeling somewhat pitiful and weak. First he could not save his village from freezing over, and now he was unable to actually save this girl.

She seemed so defeated, and it made him want to fight for her, but he did not know how. As the man raised his hand Hissori tensed a bit.

“Show mercy! Show Order. You are creating more chaos by killing her, won’t it be smarter to kill me instead? Me with no attachments to anything.” He said loudly as he looked at him. At this point he knew it probably wouldn’t stop the execution, but maybe it would make him reconsider what he was about to do. After all, what did he have to live for now. He was a Shinobi, a medic without a home.

Roleplay: There were so many questions that the man had to answer. Drawing in a breath he listened to every single question they had to ask and prepared to answer them. They were all excellent questions that defiantly helped move the class along. He would give a kind smile to the boy who seemed to be battling some personal demons. He would draw no more attention to it, though he would make a mental note of it hoping that he could help the young boy on his path.

“Well to begin with Chakra types can be considered a tough thing to pin down. With enough practice, one will be able to use all five of the basic elements. However, the ones that’s jutsu’s come more naturally to the shinobi they will be able to develop more advance techniques. To combine elements it is something much more complicated than using the proper hand signs. One must be able to mix the different chakra’s together and mold it in their body so that they can create unique advance Justus.

Now. When it comes to bloodlines those are much simpler. Simply put they are abilities and jutsu’s that only people from a certain family tree can do. The ability to create Jutsu’s from the eyes is one of tricks that only Uchiha has. From what I have been told, it does not hurt. However, it does create a lot of pressure in the eyes that will eventually leave to blindness IF the uchiha does not get a surgery.

Another example, I am a part of a bloodline known as the Inuzaka. Are abilities come from the fact my ancestors worked so closely with dogs, and wild wolves that we have learned to communicated with them, and use them as a companion to fight by our side. That is what this beast on the desk is. I have grown up with him since the age for nine. He is basically my brother, and when we fight, we are able to fight in ways that other people can’t and use jutsu’s that most people can’t even think about doing.” He said as he gently petted the dog who was sleeping on the desk. His green eyes looked down at his dog as he thought about the last question that he was asked.

The bluntness of answer was that his dog decided to have too much human fun, got drunk and now was paying for it. However, one could see it going deeper than that, and it was that lesson that Hissori should be teaching.

“The truth about what happened to Buru is a complicated one. Honestly, the life you have chosen to try and lead is a very tough one. You’ll see people die in front of you, and you will probably have to kill people. If someone who leads this life doesn’t find a way to deal with this burden, life for them becomes too hard and they crack. They’ll burn out and either die in the line of service or self-destruct. The best away to deal with this is to find something you love to do. Buru and I love to go out when we are stressed and have a free night, and unfortunately, my dog here decided to have too much fun last night and is now paying for it. Aren’t you boy.” Hissori finished as he rubbed the ear of his sleeping down. However without much ceremony Hissori took both his hands and pushed the heavy dog off the desk.

With a thud, Buru landed on the ground in front of the desk. On his side, his paws faced out towards the students, though the dog seemed un-phased, completely ignoring the treatment Hissori had given him.

“Guys, I want you to come up here. I have something I want you to try out.” Hissori told the pair of students as he smiled a bit. Leaning down, he pulled up and placed on the desk undoing the latches, he pulled up three sets on clunky looking leather gloves.

“Put these on I will explain what they do in a moment. You can just step over Buru… Just don’t step on his tail. He freaks out.” He told the class slowly going to put on the heavy leather looking gloves on his hands smiling a bit.

Roleplay: There were so many questions that the man had to answer. Drawing in a breath he listened to every single question they had to ask and prepared to answer them. They were all excellent questions that defiantly helped move the class along. He would give a kind smile to the boy who seemed to be battling some personal demons. He would draw no more attention to it, though he would make a mental note of it hoping that he could help the young boy on his path.

“Well to begin with Chakra types can be considered a tough thing to pin down. With enough practice, one will be able to use all five of the basic elements. However, the ones that’s jutsu’s come more naturally to the shinobi they will be able to develop more advance techniques. To combine elements it is something much more complicated than using the proper hand signs. One must be able to mix the different chakra’s together and mold it in their body so that they can create unique advance Justus.

Now. When it comes to bloodlines those are much simpler. Simply put they are abilities and jutsu’s that only people from a certain family tree can do. The ability to create Jutsu’s from the eyes is one of tricks that only Uchiha has. From what I have been told, it does not hurt. However, it does create a lot of pressure in the eyes that will eventually leave to blindness IF the uchiha does not get a surgery.

Another example, I am a part of a bloodline known as the Inuzaka. Are abilities come from the fact my ancestors worked so closely with dogs, and wild wolves that we have learned to communicated with them, and use them as a companion to fight by our side. That is what this beast on the desk is. I have grown up with him since the age for nine. He is basically my brother, and when we fight, we are able to fight in ways that other people can’t and use jutsu’s that most people can’t even think about doing.” He said as he gently petted the dog who was sleeping on the desk. His green eyes looked down at his dog as he thought about the last question that he was asked.

The bluntness of answer was that his dog decided to have too much human fun, got drunk and now was paying for it. However, one could see it going deeper than that, and it was that lesson that Hissori should be teaching.

“The truth about what happened to Buru is a complicated one. Honestly, the life you have chosen to try and lead is a very tough one. You’ll see people die in front of you, and you will probably have to kill people. If someone who leads this life doesn’t find a way to deal with this burden, life for them becomes too hard and they crack. They’ll burn out and either die in the line of service or self-destruct. The best away to deal with this is to find something you love to do. Buru and I love to go out when we are stressed and have a free night, and unfortunately, my dog here decided to have too much fun last night and is now paying for it. Aren’t you boy.” Hissori finished as he rubbed the ear of his sleeping down. However without much ceremony Hissori took both his hands and pushed the heavy dog off the desk.

With a thud, Buru landed on the ground in front of the desk. On his side, his paws faced out towards the students, though the dog seemed un-phased, completely ignoring the treatment Hissori had given him.

“Guys, I want you to come up here. I have something I want you to try out.” Hissori told the pair of students as he smiled a bit. Leaning down, he pulled up and placed on the desk undoing the latches, he pulled up three sets on clunky looking leather gloves.

“Put these on I will explain what they do in a moment. You can just step over Buru… Just don’t step on his tail. He freaks out.” He told the class slowly going to put on the heavy leather looking gloves on his hands smiling a bit.

Just as the student’s confidence rose about what they were doing, his own confidence rose about what he was doing. Teaching maybe could be a second path to help a civilization, and maybe if Mist was ever reborn he could help teach their youth. And looked someone else had joined!

Most teachers probably would have been mad, probably even asked the kid to leave or for an excuse as to why he was so late into the class, but not Hissori, Hissori just wanted to teach. With a gentle smile and nod of the head, the dog whisperer becond the other kid over.

Then, turning his attention back to the task at hand, Hissori looked down at his own gloves. He had already slipped them on and was moving the fingers of them around. These brown gloves seemed to be surprisingly heavy for what they were, but they served a purpose.

“So students, theses are a special type of glove. I actually got these when I was travelling in the Waterfall country and discovered them at a festival of sorts. If you don’t know, the Waterfall country does not have many shinobi, and those who are within there ranks are not exactly highly trained. However, they have had found a way to make sure of a persons chakra….”

As Hissori spoke, he lifted his hands in front of his face visible for everyone. Then something happened. Between his two index fingers a bright wave of blue light began to travel between the two gloves. His own green eyes just watched it as it seemed he barely had to concentrate at all to keep the light going. For a moment he would watch the light and then look towards the child.

“You see. These gloves are special. What they are able to do is detect the chakra that comes through your hands and project it between two sources of chakra. As you can see, both points of chakra are my fingers.

In the Waterfall country, they do this as a carnival game to see who can keep the light going the longest, but I will use it as a training tool.

What I want you to do, is attempt to focus the chakra to the tips of your fingers, and if you are doing it right…. You will see a light or spark come out of your fingers.

But as you guys are kids, I want to make this a little fun..” Hissori said with a smile.

“You all will have five minutes to practice this, and then we will play the game. The winner, whom is the one whoever keeps the chakra going the longest, will get a free bowl of ramen from the down street paid for by me after school is out today, and get to ask me anything they want while they are eating the ramen. You all of course are allowed to join the winner and I.” He said as he grinned.

Stopping the blue light that came from his gloves, he put them on the table. Sliding them towards the newest student, he smiled.

“Get going.” He said with a wide grin.

Roleplay: “Yes. Yes, I will get you your own bowl of Ramen.” Hissori mumbled as he looked down at his sulking companion. Buru of course, was still dealing with his affects of his night out. He wolfdog had at least woken up, and was not moving albeit at a slow pace. His large head and muzzle was close to the ground, and his tail as well seemed to hang lifeless at his body. Even though his fur was the clean white it normally was, it seemed to lack the normal shine it had in the dull cloud covered sun that the duo had become accustomed to here in Iwagakure.

With the classes for the day ending, and the shinobi to be getting out, Hissori was doing what he promised. He was going to a Ramen shop dressed with a yellow shirt, and black jeans the man had just finished writing up his class reports for the day. Now he was going to get lunch, and hope that the students would come. He knew at least one would come, and that was the young boy whom had won the competition in today’s class. He wondered though if the young girl would come or even the boy who had shown up late to the class. Maybe even there friends would come? Who knew.

Coming to one of the nice Ramen shops the streets around the Academy had to offer, Hissori would request a large table for the group of people that would come. He was lead to the back of the restaurant where he was sat in a corner booth. It was a natural place for him to sit, and Buru woof hungrily.

“Oh and can I have one bowl of Pork Ramen for my Dog?” He asked as he tried to gently rub the head of the dog. At least Buru would get to eat as he waited for the people to show up.

Roleplay:
Hissori’s adam’s apple moved up and down as he saw the man make his decision to seemingly take his life. He had successfully stopped the execution of girl that had saved him. In his mind, that was good, and the right thing to do. For the most part, it would keep order within the world if this was truly going to be his end, and more importantly it would save someone who had friends, a family, and probably a good life at wherever she lived. While this was important to him, it was ultimately one more life he could save on the way out. He had come into his own saving lives, and would go out saving one.

Looking down at Buru, and rubbing the dog behind the ears almost fondly, he growled lowly. It was a form of communication that only the pair would understand; it was a form of communication that took more than six years for them to develop.

Buru’s response was understandable. His white ears became pinned back against skull. He gave a gentle whimper, but the response he got was a sharp growl, and that seemed to be the end of the conversation. Buru’s icy blue eyes looked up at Hissori with a concern look, but then in a blink of an eye he dashed off disappearing into the shadows of the large forest. If Hisori was going to die he was only one dying today, not Buru, Buru deserved a long time regardless of the sins or choices he made.

“Buru has nothing to do with this, he will not be dying for a choice I made.” Hissori said. Even though there was a bit of tremble in his voice, Hissori was defiantly standing tall. He might die, but Buru wouldn’t and this would be the end of that discussion.

Pausing and drawing his breath, Hissori would start to think about his final question, What should his final words should be? It took another moment to speak, but when he finally did, he spoke clearly and strongly.

“I want to be known as someone that kept order in this world, by protecting people and healing them. No matter what happens, I was here to keep order, protect and serve.” He said as he looked at the black man and his lion.

Whatever his fate was, Hissori was ready to face it.

Hissori’s adam’s apple moved up and down as he saw the man make his decision to seemingly take his life. He had successfully stopped the execution of girl that had saved him. In his mind, that was good, and the right thing to do. For the most part, it would keep order within the world if this was truly going to be his end, and more importantly it would save someone who had friends, a family, and probably a good life at wherever she lived. While this was important to him, it was ultimately one more life he could save on the way out. He had come into his own saving lives, and would go out saving one.

Looking down at Buru, and rubbing the dog behind the ears almost fondly, he growled lowly. It was a form of communication that only the pair would understand; it was a form of communication that took more than six years for them to develop.

Buru’s response was understandable. His white ears became pinned back against skull. He gave a gentle whimper, but the response he got was a sharp growl, and that seemed to be the end of the conversation. Roleplay:
This was defiantly something different. It was something really a downgrade or a demotion, but it was a shift the method of the hospital. To begin with, now that the hospital was open, Hissori’s role he had shifted some. Now instead of basically being lost in a sea of paper work, he was back to the manageable amount that he had when he was in Kirigakure.

It has almost been a month since the sennin title had been given out, and more importantly a month since the hospital had open. Even if he was not promoted, he was lucky enough to keep his office for now. This meant that he was lucky enough to keep his laboratory. His laboratory had been completely with his research. This matched the equally filled room he now possessed.

Filled with some of his more personal medical books, there were three large bookshelves that lined the walls. Facing the door was the man’s desk that had opened a bunch of documents, and a picture of his sensei Koroki, his good friend Katsumi, and himself. Just like most pictures a young shinobi had with his sensei, everyone seemed to be smiling and having a good time, at some sort of fair on the beach. Then off in the corner, Hissori had placed a large animal bed that had a hand snitched writing that said Medical Shinobi on it. Of course this was the doggy bed of Buru.

Today, having finished rounds and for once not having someone sort of meeting, Hissori was getting a moment to work on his research. Leaning over a microscope, Hissori was staring at something on a slide.

The young man had on his bright white lab coat. It covered a teal color tie, and a salmon colored button down shirt. He had on slacks that matched the color of Buru’s fur, and brown leather dress shoes. Of course his unique look, hid the fact how much of a great mind he was.

With the door to both his office, and laboratory door open, Hissori was just wait for someone to come talk to him about something.

And of course, the question where Buru was something that would probably need to be answered.

This mission was accomplished. What the dog had done would be remembered forever! He was going to be a legend. He was going to become a legend, one leg at a time. Now though, the icy blue eyes were sparkling up at the former leaf shinobi as he came to the realization about what he did. He would offer the man a friendly bark in greeting as he seemed to just sit there. Then the threats came. The hilarious threats of what this man would do to the dog. From the facial expression of Buru, he could almost be seen that he was snickering. This was of course until his name was called.

White ears perking up, Buru barked excitedly. It seemed he was being promoted to medic! Jumping up and placing his forepaws on Ginjiro, Buru gave one last long lick, this time to his face before running up to the stage. Zigzagging throughout the crowd the white dog bounded up to the stage. More importantly, he beat Hissori up there.

Hissori was still making his way through the crowd. Having been talking with some civilians about where to find good quality furniture. He had almost missed the fact that there were many different titles being handed out expect for the fact that there was applause for a new Sennin. Clapping as well, Hissori would walk up to the stand slowly waving a bit to a young boy who waved at him and took his spot next to Buru. In his mind he was questioning why his dog had gotten a shinobi title. Still the more worrisome result of this was going to be the powertrip Buru would now be on.

Roleplay:
Basking in the adoration that was being thrown his way, Buru sat there tall and proud. For a ninken this was probably one of the greatest honors that one could ever get. He was being named a real shinobi! Well “honorary” shinobi but what was the difference. Of course, this was funny because Buru the dog for Ii Hissori was being named an offical shinobi BEFORE Hissori himself. This was not crossing the mind of Ii Hissori though.

Ii Hissori’s mind was on the weird position he had just been put in. He had been basically reaffirmed to have control of his hospital, but not to have control on the branch. This was given to Uka, and even though the Strawberry Blonde from Kirigakure shinobi was assured that this person was probably the right woman for the job, he did not know the women. Instead, he was left adjusting his well-groomed strawberry blonde hair, and clapping with everyone else.

He would spend the rest of the day mingling with people from the village. Greeting as many people as he could. It was the normal stuff, he would go around shake hands, kissed baby’s foreheads all nine yards. Outside when it was starting to get a bit dark out, he would lead a large group of people on a tour of the hospital letting them get a look around at the large library, and facilities. He even took them up to all the research centers, which he was just given control of.

Finally though, when it was late, and all was said and done, Hissori left. He would be back tomorrow, because tomorrow the real work was just beginning.
