(This will be an on-going side thread for training, explaining the history of Ryuu Rei’s part of the Ryuu Clan)
A pen touched down to paper and began to gently write out perfectly sized letters. They were mechanically perfect, down to the very end of where ink left the page and started the next letter. Rei stared down and scribbled sentence after sentence of what was the start of a large tome. Surrounding her was pages, old books, and a few pieces of ancient rock with etchings carved into it. Her hand lifted from the page to stare down at the quick work of a title she had drawn out; The Eastern Ryuu: A History. The hand reached back down to the page and began to write down a memoire of everything she had studied about the once noble grand nomadic clan, and how it had become barely a shadow of its former greatness.
The Eastern Ryuu are a sub-sect of an old nomadic clan that once traveled the entire world in a set path. The original goal of this tribe was to wonder the world, collecting terribly cursed objects or powers, and sealing them away. To date, it is said that the Old Clan had sealed away, destroyed, or hid over one-hundred different things away from the hands of the greedy, the lustful, and the power-hungry. However, the Old Clan did not just wonder around sealing away terrible things, but also absorbed powerful bloodlines and talents from across the world into their own folds. Due to this, there is no “true bloodline” of the Old Clan as the last of the original line died out nearly a thousand years ago. What remained were their techniques, teachings, and words of wisdom to guide the youth and new leaders that were elected every ten years. This allowed the Old Clan to continue their nomadic mission to remove the world’s darkest secrets from the hands of man, but also slowly paved the way for someone corrupt to eventually take reigns of the Chief title, and lead them into oblivion.
Rei drew back the pen and looked at her work so far before turning her eyes to an ancient open book that held the entire history of the Old Clan leading up to Ryuu Tengokai; the man who brought ruin to them all. There was a lot the cyborg was skipping over, but the original tale of the clan was being abridged to lead to her branch, and what made them who they were.
