Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The descent into the Off Tracks was a descent into the claustrophobic gullet of the world. Yuuto could feel the weight of the Land of Wind pressing down from above, where millions of tons of stone and sediment were held back by nothing but the structural integrity of these ancient and shifting tunnels. The air here was a stagnant and heavy thing, thick with the pungent and sulfurous reek of sand worm waste and the sharp, metallic tang of unrefined chakra. It was a place where the sun was a forgotten myth, replaced by the erratic and pulsing bioluminescence of the crystals embedded in the rock like glowing ulcers.

Yuuto moved with the unhurried and predatory confidence of a man who had long ago made peace with the darkness. His four arms were held in a relaxed and ready posture, his muscles fluid beneath his deep tan skin. Beside him, Tennō was a shadow among shadows. The six eyed simian’s breath was a low and rhythmic huff, his many pupils darting across the uneven terrain. Tennō could feel it before Yuuto could, sensing the subtle and high frequency vibration that indicated a mass far too large for these narrow arteries.

The mission was simple in its phrasing but suicidal in its execution. An independent contractor, a man with too much gold and too many secrets, had placed a bounty on a localized anomaly. The Gilded Glutton was no longer the simple scavenger the miners feared because it had mutated. It had gorged itself on a particularly volatile vein of elemental carmot, and now it was a walking and segmented disaster. It was a creature of pure and overcharged friction, a biological engine running at a redline it was never meant to reach.

"Stay light on your feet, Tennō," Yuuto whispered. His voice was a calm rasp that cut through the oppressive hum of the mines. "The ground is not going to stay solid for long. When it hits, it is going to turn this entire sector into a slurry."

The grinding sound increased into a cacophony of shrieking stone and splintering crystal that seemed to come from everywhere at once. Then the ceiling did not just break; it shattered. A massive and segmented form draped in jagged, overlapping plates of crystalline armor tore through the rock, descending like a falling mountain. The Glutton hit the cavern floor with a force that sent a shockwave through Yuuto’s boots, and immediately the air around the beast began to shimmer with a white hot haze.

The creature was a horror of evolution. Its plates were a translucent and sickly violet, pulsing with the raw and unrefined energy it had consumed. Its dozens of legs were not just appendages but were vibrating tuning forks, humming at a frequency that liquefied the granite beneath them. The stone turned to a bubbling and viscous grey soup, and the Glutton began to swim through the floor. Its many eyes, each one a faceted and glowing orb of hatred, locked onto the two intruders.

Yuuto did not retreat. A slow and dark smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth, and his third eye snapped open. The golden slit in his forehead burned with a fierce and internal light that mirrored the brilliance of the creature's own overcharged core. He felt the cold, oily slick of his Cursed Chakra beginning to circulate, a stark contrast to the wild and chaotic energy of the beast.

"You see that, Tennō? It's bloated. It is heavy. It is drowning in its own greed." Yuuto said, his voice rising over the beast’s hissing. It thinks it can liquefy the world to escape us. Let us show it that some shadows are deeper than the earth itself. Two of Yuuto’s hands clapped together in a thunderous seal while the other two reached back toward the scrolls strapped to his harness. The air began to warp, not from heat, but from the sheer pressure of his spiritual presence. He was not here to play with the earth; he was here to dismantle a biological machine.

The Glutton reared back while its mandibles clicked with a sound like snapping timber. It vented a cloud of superheated steam from the gaps in its armor, a byproduct of its frantic metabolism. It did not see a man; it saw a high density chakra source that needed to be consumed. It lunged, its massive body rippling as it propelled itself through the liquefied stone with terrifying speed. Yuuto’s hands shifted, his fingers dancing as they spun invisible filaments of chakra.

"Tennō! Flank it! Use the pillars!" The simian vanished into the high shadows of the cavern, his powerful limbs propelling him from one crystalline outcropping to the next. Down below, Yuuto stood his ground while his shadow began to stretch and warp across the bubbling floor, defying the erratic light of the crystals. He could feel the creature's hunger, a cold and empty void that wanted to swallow everything he was.

"You want to eat?" Yuuto challenged as his purple eyes flashed. "Then taste the heat of the sun!" The air sweltered as he released the Scorch element.

The Gilded Glutton (Carmot-Eater)

This beast is a massive, centipede-like horror that has spent centuries consuming refined chakra deposits. Its exoskeleton is no longer organic; it is a jagged, crystalline armor made of hardened carmot.
  • The Threat: It doesn't just bite—it drains. Because its body is essentially a massive, hungry battery, any chakra-based attack (Ninjutsu) that hits its armor is absorbed and used to fuel its own elemental breath attacks.
  • Abilities: It can "swim" through solid rock as if it were water by vibrating its legs at a frequency that liquefies stone. For Yuuto, this means the very walls of the mine could become a maw at any second.

He was running tests within his internal systems. Recently there had been a propulsion feedback error flag presented. The error had been traced back to when he first entered Wind Country and crashed into the sand dune. The error took some time to process as it kept returning feedback loops. However, it was just now that his inner coding was able to adjust itself to overwrite the code.

While this process took place, he'd been granted entry to the village, an unknown challenge he did not expect to see. However, the entry came with a bit more freedom than anticipated. Though he'd could travel through the village, travel through the tunnels with which the village itself traveled through were unattended and thus open for scavenging.

Flying through the large earthen tunnels beneath the Land of Wind proper, the human puppet cyborg flew through the shifting tunnels cautiously due to still shifting it's coding around and the processing focus it required. With the assistance of his Spare chakra propulsors and his Flight Armor the cyborg was able to continue relatively unimpeded until it's internal systems concluded their tasks. Shifting his internal coding was a delicate process. Moving some codes could potentially alter his personality matrix, or imped his combat systems, so he was beyond cautious during this process.

The choice to fly was deliberate. Though it did expend chakra to do so for extended periods of time, the terrain was unfamiliar and so it was best to stay off of it as much as possible. The ground was uneven, just as unstable as the surface above. There had reportedly been a bounty placed on a certain anomaly and in order to restore his systems and voice box properly, Sekuro would need to be in a very vulnerable state during the process of repair. As such, in preparation for this eventuality, he planned to prepare a large sum of funds help mitigate such risks as much as possible once he found such a skilled and trustworthy individual.

So he'd been on the lookout for several bounties within the catacombs as well as any potential upgrades he could assimilate into his framework.

After some time of flight, he'd stumbled upon a set of chakra signatures that he'd already registered with his systems.

The chakra source had come into contact with Sekuro several times during his time in the Wind Country. The probability of these occurrences defying traditional statistical logic.

After following the familiar chakra signature the flying cyborg would realize that some of his objectives had overlap. The anomaly was engaging the chakra signature he was following.

The bounty was large enough to split if it came to that, so Sekuro would engage the monstrosity as well. Felling the beast was an incalculable feat, so Sekuro would simply apply his more human traits and apply maximum effort. This, coupled with his mechanical enhancements was typically enough to place him over the top of any situation he'd face. The others were already engaged, so they would likely not notice the cyborgs presence until it engaged.

Mission Mod Post:
The atmosphere within the Off Tracks shifted from stagnant heat to a volatile, static-charged pressure as the Gilded Glutton registered the arrival of a third presence. The creature was a sensory engine, its myriad of vibrating legs picking up the distinct, mechanical hum of Sekuro’s propulsion systems long before the cyborg’s frame actually breached the darkness of the cavern. To an apex predator gorged on raw chakra, Sekuro was not just another intruder; he was a dense, concentrated battery of refined energy.

The mutation within the Glutton’s marrow screamed for more. Its faceted eyes pulsed with a frantic, strobing violet light, reflecting off the jagged crystalline plates that covered its segmented body. The creature ignored the initial Scorch wisps from Yuuto for a split second, its massive, armor-plated head snapping toward the ceiling where the mechanical whir echoed loudest. It let out a sound that was less a roar and more a grinding of tectonic plates, a sonic boom that rippled through the liquefied stone floor.

With a violent, snapping motion, the Glutton split its offensive focus. Its rear segments coiled like a massive, metallic spring, while its front half reared up toward the shadows where Sekuro hovered. From the gaps in its neck armor, the creature vented a concentrated stream of superheated, chakra-infused carmot—a liquid magma of waste and energy that hissed through the air like a high-pressure jet, aimed directly at Sekuro’s flight path. Simultaneously, it slammed its heavy front mandibles into the ground, sending a jagged wave of crystal spikes erupting from the floor toward Yuuto.

Yuuto did not blink as the earth beneath him began to splinter and groan. He had felt the arrival of the cyborg, that familiar, sterile chakra signature that had grated on his nerves since he first touched down in the Land of Wind. Under normal circumstances, he might have been inclined to let the machine fend for itself, but an S-Rank anomaly was a poor time for a personal grudge.

As the crystalline spikes tore through the liquefied floor toward him, Yuuto’s four arms moved in a blur of synchronized motion. Two hands performed the quick, snapping seals for a displacement technique while the others prepared his shadow threads."Shadow Imitation: Void Displacement," Yuuto intoned, his voice flat and devoid of panic.

Instead of jumping, Yuuto allowed his own shadow to flare outward, thickening into an ink-black pool. As the crystal spikes reached him, they didn't shatter his body; they were swallowed by the warped perspective of his shadow, emerging a split second later from a darkened patch of wall ten feet to the left. Yuuto himself flickered out of existence for a heartbeat, reappearing safely on a solid outcropping of rock, his golden third eye never leaving the beast.

"Tennō! Now! Break the rhythm!"

Above the chaos, the six-eyed simian let out a piercing screech. Using the distraction of Yuuto’s shadow play, Tennō dropped from the high ceiling like a thunderbolt. The simian’s fists were shrouded in a faint, dark aura of Yuuto’s cursed chakra, and he slammed into the Glutton’s midsection with the force of a falling star, aiming to crack the overcharged plates and disrupt the creature's internal frequency.

Yuuto didn't look at Sekuro as the cyborg dealt with the magma-jet, but his voice carried through the cavern, amplified by a subtle layer of chakra. It wasn't the voice of a man holding a grudge; it was the voice of a commander on a battlefield. "Hey, stay or leave, it is up to you," Yuuto called out, his four hands already weaving a secondary set of filaments to stabilize the cavern’s crumbling pillars. "But if you fight with me, we fight together. As a unit."

He reached into his pouch, withdrawing a set of heavy, cursed needles. His eyes remained fixed on the Glutton’s glowing joints. He was waiting for the beast to reel from Tennō’s impact, waiting for the perfect moment to thread his chakra into the creature's very nervous system. The creature roared, chakra emanating from its body as it prepared to attack.
