Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

  • Kazuma has a large scar that covers most of the left side of his face. It reaches just above his left eye and extends midway down his check, covering his eye at the base of the scar.
  • His skin color is slightly tanned from years of training with fire jutsu.
  • His hair is relatively combed and falls just above his shoulder. He normally has the bangs of his hair covering the damaged eye.
  • He also has a rather athletic build, suggesting years of training and toning his muscles to suit his physical ability.
  • Normal attire for Kazuma: His favorite colors are red and black, which is evident in the clothes that he wears. Aside from special occasions, Kazuma dons a red and black karate-styled gi with matching red pants, finished with gold trim throughout the outfit. He also tends to wear a matching eye patch, the majority of which is covered by the bangs of his hair.

  • Kazuma is a rather complex individual. His personality could be described as quite sarcastic but serious, kind but ill-tempered, rational but also impulsive at times, and honorable yet not delusional.
  • He is a rather poised and determined individual, and his knowledge and skills a product of years of hard work.
  • Kazuma is a pragmatist that strongly believes in survival over all else. In his own words, he has removed himself from the world’s delusions and only finds truth in what is right in front of him. Currently, he has no real mission or any real calling to speak of.
  • A fighter above all else, Kazuma is envious of those with special abilities and is always eager to test his own, self-taught, abilities against the ones they were born with.

[ k n o w n – h i s t o r y ]:

"Sooner or later I'm going to cut you down."
Not much is known about Kazuma’s past because he rarely talks about it or the origin of the scar that covers the left side of his face. Whether it was based around shame, anger or his general standoffishness, the scarred man tended to keep information about himself hidden from public. What is known is this…

Kazuma was born unlucky. His mother was a missing shinobi from Cloud, and his father was a thief that made her betray her homeland. Together, they ended up having children that they failed to take care of. Love is a tricky emotion. The notion of falling in love with another person, completely devoting one’s self to another and having children with that person is the apex of life for many individuals… it’s the dream. However, reality isn’t so peachy. What happens when that devotion to one another doesn’t equate to love or devotion to their offspring? Abandonment…

The two people that these children needed to depend on the most were too caught up in their own love to truly care for these children. The boy, Kazuma, was sold one child into slavery at the age of 5, and the fate of his sister is unknown to him. Blessed or perhaps cursed with an eidetic memory, he remembers all of it… even from that age. He remembered the beatings that he endured that were supposed to make him “tough.” He remembered being used by women that paid for certain services. He remembered being forced to fight other children as people cheered and bet money on the winner like it was a sport. Every win. Every loss. His innocence being striped away from him and his hope taken away… Kazuma remembered it all.

Kazuma’s world was one of violence, oppression and loneliness, completely devoid of kindness or hope. However, it wasn’t all bad. In fact, his most painful memory is also the memory that gave him the will to live. Filled with sorrow and bloodshed for the majority of his life, a woman did offer him some sort of solace. Her name was Nariko and she became a frequent visitor; getting to know her “companion” the more she visited. Her intentions were unknown to him, but after intercourse she grew into the same irrational person his mother was… one that loved as his mother loved that the thief that had stolen her heart. Nariko taught him simple things, like how to read and write. She also trained him more complex things such as notions of love and the art of deception. She believed that intelligence was a greater power than any other, and trained him to believe the same thing. She even taught him songs as she sung to him on occasion. It was through her that he learned what hope was… what ambition was… what revenge was…

She even named him Kazuma, after her first love.

Eventually, she gave him the information on his parents that he desired, and even spilling the beans about her involvement with the transaction. The wife of the man that bought him tended to know a lot about those types of transactions, and sleeping with the wife of the man left him physically “scarred” for life. Flames had a way of doing that… especially the black flames of an Uchiha scorned. Still… that didn’t stop this woman and her visits. The only thing that stopped her visits was her death…

Rage. Hatred. Vengeance. Wrath…

Nariko had created something she didn’t intend and through her death, a business empire crumbled. Blood dripped from the blades that slashed through the lives of the people responsible. His golden eyes devoid of mercy, only leering at those who’s fates had been sealed the moment they bought this child. He ripped through flesh until there was no more flesh to stab.

That was the end of their story… and the beginning of “Kazuma.”

Sometime later his parents also threw curses toward the boy that they had sold.

His parents were surprised that the boy they had sold so long ago had survived this long. They had forgotten all about him, but they were the center of Kazuma’s attention for so long. He kept eyes on them since he left his former “master’s” business. Kazuma had trained for this moment, ferociously training mind, body and spirit in the arts of the three shinobi disciplines to ensure his victory.

They died that day… and sister… she wasn’t there.

However, something didn’t quite sit right with him.

The guilt and regret in their eyes…

The protective father that shielded the mother as their child demanded to know what they did to his sister…

How they accepted their deaths but begged that he “stopped there” as if there was another that they needed to protect.

Perhaps these two had managed to regain some semblance of humanity, after all. It didn’t matter to him, but perhaps it mattered to his sister.

Honestly, he truly didn’t know but he figured that he’d find out sooner or later. She’d come for him…

What would happen then was unknown…

The Village Hidden in Clouds…
Eventually, Kazuma ended up in the Lightning Country, looking for some type stable income. Stability was a quality that a vagabond was rarely afforded with so the prospect of setting up shop seemed appealing. The Hidden Cloud Village provided him with just that opportunity. At first, it was just freelance work but eventually the relationship blossomed into something more.

Deciding that the best way to show off his own skills would be to become an officially sanctioned Cloud shinobi, Kazuma powered his way through the official channels. He tested out of the academy, a given considering how old he would’ve been if he actually taken classes with children. Kazuma also obtained Genin and Chuunin ranks soon after, eventually transferring over to the ANBU corps as an AiT… oddity considering his overall “fondness” for taking orders. However, survival and proving his battle prowess were the most important things to Kazuma and playing this role gave him the best chance to earn his own.

Besides, he had fought for money before, and he thought it’d be a nice change to fight on his own volition (mostly) and earn money for himself for a change. Yup. We’ll see where the story goes from here. The Legend of Kazuma had just begun!

0. Sentinel – ANBU Branch
- +5% Damage Reduction from all non-illusionary sources and +1 item slot to place stackable items.
- The user gains +45 Minutes to catch any timed topic within their own Village.
- Missing/Mercs with this ability cannot be caught using the +45 minutes from this ability.

0. Shinobi 101 – Scorch [Melee Accuracy]
- Choose one jutsu sub-type (Fire, Slashing, Offensive puppet, etc) to use with any one other accuracy of your choice. User may apply to change which sub-type of jutsu Shinobi 101 applies to once every 90 days via the normal process for an ability swap in their Dojo Forum.

1. Jutsu Expansion
- Allows the user to increase the rank of a Jutsu and all associated effects with it. Jutsu AP cost is increased by .5AP.

The new OOC rank jutsu (ex: E to D) gain the following values in order of D/C/B/A.

Offensive Jutsu - Damage gains 630/650/2400/2950
Barrier Jutsu - Barrier health gains 565/585/2160/2655
Clone Jutsu - Hp/Cp % increase 10/5/5/10, Increased accuracy of 2/1/3/3

For all the above:
Chakra cost gains 200/280/1470/2000
Secondary Effect % chance gains 6/3/15/27

2. Called Shot
- Called Shots only take half the usual accuracy Penalties.
- +5% Called Shot chance.
- User can inflict Broken rank debuffs.

3. Quickdraw
- Drawing weapons or items costs 0 AP. In addition, the user may sheath their active weapon once per round for 0 AP.

4. Duelist
- +2 Accuracy/DC and +10% damage towards a single target. User must choose target at beginning of battle. Should the target be KO, or no longer in the battle, the user may choose another target. Targeting any other opponent (excluding clones) from the initial target will nullify this ability for the remainder of the battle.
- +10% chance to auto-dodge the targets attacks
- -2 Dodge/Save to any other opponents targeting the user

5. Jutsu Mastery
- All Jutsu cost -10% Chakra, this includes Maintains.
- All Chakra cost penalties from choosing to use 'Special Actions' are halved.

6. Initiative
- The user is capable of prioritizing 1 AP worth of actions per round which are modded as 0 AP but all costs are paid as normal.

7. Sixth Sense
- When making an awareness check, the user has a 25% chance to auto-detect the target. This applies to targets in Stealth, hidden by clones, and under transformations.
- Sneak Attacks to the user have a 25% chance of being detected and losing their Sneak bonus.

8. Clarity
- The user is given a resistance check every round against Genjutsu as opposed to the normal round wait time.
- The user is always aware that they are in a Genjutsu unless the Genjutsu was treated as a Sneak Attack.
- This ability cannot be used with Willpower.

9. Healing Factor
- The user gains 3% Max HP at the end of each round.
- All Medical Jutsu are +10% more effective on the user.

Special Action - Quick Healer: At the end of a round the user may choose to pay CP equal to 5% of the damage done to the player during the round, to regain 5% of the HP lost by the player during the round.

10. Hyperactive
- The user regains +3% of their Max CP back at the beginning of every round.

11. Summoner
- A Creation's HP and CP are +5% Higher.
- The user may now have two different Creation Jutsu active at once; however, the second Creation Jutsu will be treated as Rank 1.

Special Action: The user may cast two Creation Jutsu simultaneously. All costs and rules remain the same, but they are modded with the timing of the higher AP jutsu. This special action does not prevent the use of other special actions.

12. Unarmed Style
- Offensive
  • Dynamite Fist: All Unarmed Taijutsu Attacks made by the user have a +5% chance to cause suppression. If a target is suppressed, the next successful Unarmed Taijutsu Attack against the target made by the user gains a +5% Damage Buff; this effect may only occur twice per round.
  • Dim Mak: Allows the user to cause Suppression up to six times instead of four with their Unarmed Attacks. If the user has performed suppression four times and drops out of this style, they may not cause suppression again unless they re-enter this style.
  • Drunken Fist: Upon entering this style, a user must choose between 1, or 3 Drunk Points. These Drunk points lower by 1 each round the style is active, at which point this style is dropped. Dropping this style removes all current drunk points.
    • For every Drunk point the user has, their Unarmed Taijutsu Attacks have a 5% being considered a Sneak attack. Stacking up to +10%.
    • For every Drunk point the user has, their Unarmed Taijutsu Attacks have a 15% being treated as Rank 1 due to their intoxication.
    • For every Drunk point the user has, their Unarmed Taijutsu Attacks have a 30% of being unable to be reflexively-acted against. This is 100% if the user has 3 Drunk Points active.

    - This style cannot be reactivated until all Drunk Points have been consumed.

- Defensive
  • Capoeira: The user gains a +5% Auto Dodge against Melee Attacks and +2 Dodge against all Taijutsu Attacks. All Unarmed Attacks made by the user suffer a -2 Accuracy.
  • Fluid Two-Step: The user has a 10% chance to have a successful attack treated as one rank lower. (IE: A full hit would become a 75% partial, a 25% Partial would be treated as a miss) This may only occur twice per round with a Partial only being treated as a miss once per batle. The user suffers a -1 Accuracy to all Unarmed Taijutsu Attacks while this style is active.
  • Cross Counter: The user suffers -3 dodge, but all incoming attacks deal -10% damage. This is not considered damage reduction. (If an attack would deal 100 damage, the user takes 90. If the user had 10% damage reduction as well, they would take 90% from 90 damage which is 81)
