Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Ziren finally made it to the Forrest of Death. He needed a place to collect his thoughts and be away from all of the people. The recent turn of events still jumble through his mind. First of all, the Hokage wanted to train him. The way she talked, it sounded like she might have some powers over blood. But she doesn't seem the type to be a Chigokai. Secondly, he's now part of the ANBU. That just happened yesterday. And he was told specifically not to let anyone else know about it. Which he hasn't. He just hopes that Kuro keeps quiet about it too. He seemed like the guy who wants all of the information. Maybe spreading that information too.

But other than that, Ziren will have to trust Kuro. But for now, Ziren just wanted to be away from everything. A lot has changed in the last week from which he started to chase down of what his blood line could be. And he's not proud to be who he is. What his family probably have done. But he wanted to be different from them. No, he's CHOOSING to be different from them.

But there's only one problem. Anytime he hears, sees, smells, tastes, or even think of blood, he loses control of himself. He shook his head, trying to get the thought out of his mind. He then decided to walk up the tallest tree there was. Why? Because looking out into the horizon was one of the best things that calms him down. When he finally made it to the top of a tree, he sat carefully on a branch and watched as the sun went down.

He heard lots of blood flowing, mainly because he was in the wilderness, but he paid no attention to any of it. All were too far away to cause any harm.

Surprise

He'd been walking around the Forest of Death for quite a while now, looking for an interesting place to continue his training at. Truth be told he had been prior sitting atop a few branches just watching nature, almost taking a nap. Now though he was again on the height of his senses as he jumed from tree to tree. His journey came to a halt when he saw someone walking through the forest, someone he knew, someone he actually didn't plan on meeting here, but fate seemed to guide one towards another. A smile crept on Kuros face as he got a really bad idea in his head, but as bad as that coud end, it was a part of him to try and best others, he wanted to be better, stronger. But he also wanted see what Ziren and his bloodline was about. He licked his lips, if Ziren were to tell anyone, Kuro could just excuse it as Ziren going mad on him, right? Nobody would know the truth. Ziren was quite far off from how high the ANBU in Training was up in the trees.

Kuro's hands went inside his jacket and pulled out a handful of Shuriken. Carefully aiming to not actually hit Ziren, he threw about 8 Shuriken in a row towards the boy and they would all land around him in the ground, well unless he suddenly jumped into them. The Shuriken were to stop the boy as Kuro would shorty after jump down to confront the younger one. "Oi oi, look who I found. He stated as if he had not just thrown Shuriken at his partner. "I was out here for training and saw you passing by. I wonder why you are here? Well, it doesn't really matter to me, I just came down here to ask you to help me with my training." If one would know him, it would be clear that his flip had been switched, he really bady wanted to to have a little fight with Ziren. Without waiting for an answer, he jumped towards the guy to slide over the ground as he tried to get in a sidewards kick at his guts.

Ziren heard something coming at him, the blood flow seemed to be going fast, as if whoever was coming at him had adrenaline running through their veins as well.
He quickly jumped out of the way when the blood flow in the hands flicked, as if throwing something.

He turned to see Kuro. "What the fuck man?" Kuro obviously wanted to train, but he wasn't playing around as he did a side kick right into his own stomach. But Ziren should have seen that coming. In fact, he heard the blood flow coming. He grabbed the foot, as it is still in contact with his stomach and he used the momentum to throw Kuro down from the foliage of the trees all the way down to the ground.

Ziren landed on his feet a few yards away. He was in a fighting stance listening closely to Kuro's blood flow for any indication of what he might do next.

"Kuro, you know this is stupid right? I don't want to use my blood!"

Tze, he had good reactions, so he assumed as the boy grabbed his leg and yanked it down, which caused Kuro to loose balance at which he would fall to the mossy ground down below. He landed decently, not realy taking any injury to himself as he looked over to Ziren who followed soon after.

Kuro didn't say a thing at Ziren's words, already having a hand in his Pocket again to throw two Kunai at Ziren. Again not to hurt him, but to see about his reaction and to distract him from his incoming attack. Kuro went in for a spinning heelkick at the height of his head. He wanted to se it so badly he couldn't control himself as he usually did. An evil grin was on his face all throughout his attacks, it had been some time since he even fought someone seriously, hunting brats down wasn't exactly to be taken seriously afterall.

"But I want you to use your blood." He finally said after his kick attempt. "But if you don't want to defend, maybe I have to try and hit you with this bad boy?" HE pulled out his black staff from behind his back and held it like a sword towards Ziren. He wasn't really ready yet to use it, but he wanted to get Ziren to defend himself.

Ziren brought out his own kunai to easily block the ones that were thrown at him. Kuro sent a kick coming his way. Even though he heard the blood flow coming his way, his reaction was too slow. His vision blackened for a minute, as he tried to regain his composer.
What does Kuro mean by using his blood? Did Ziren get wrong on who to trust? This won't do. He had to improvise. He threw two smoke bombs down. One at his own feet, the other, at Kuro's.
Judging from where the blood flow was, he threw his kunai into the smoke hearing as it made impact with something.
Ziren could feel the blood vessels in his eyes pop again, making the white of his eyes turn red.

Ziren didn't dare speak. Unlike him, Kuro will have a harder time pinpointing where he is. And giving away his own position by talking will help Kuro do whatever he wishes to achieve.

He hid in some bushes far away from where they fought. Come on, Ziren thought, don't make me do anything I'm gonna regret later.

The kick connected and a sly grin hushed over his face. He was still ready to go though as a single kick wouldn'T knock out a shinobi, or atleast not one that should be on an equal level. He was surprised that Ziren would use smokebombs though as they both would loose sight of each other. Or did they? He got surprised by sudden objects flying through the air and because of th smoke almost didn't notice it. He was barely able to block the Kunai with his Zepter, but only managed to send it of course, in the end it still grazed his cheek and caused a broad cut with decent amounts of blood flowing out and down his neck.

"Now we're talking, it wouldn't be a worthwhile Training if one of us just dodged all the time." HE spun his staff in his right hand, casually walking through the smoke as it started to thin out. "Now where are you at? Com out, come out." He didn't attack anything as he was playing around, but in this act he may have made a mistake as he turned his bloody cheek towards where Ziren was hiding, not knowing the boy could see him.

Ziren heard the rush of blood flowing more prominent than ever. He knew that he hit Kuro. He could smell the blood too.

He charged right at him and kicked the staff out of Kuro's hand. He had to make sure that Kuro does not make him bleed. Ziren followed up by kicking Kuro's knees.

"Don't make me do something I will regret Kuro!"

Kuro got a little surprised as Ziren ran from out of the bush and decided to let Ziren get rid of his weapon, only to use the body switch justsu as the Chigokai kicked him. He switched places with his staff, which relocated him to the left of Ziren. Not wasting a moment, he immediately kicked towards Zirens legs, trying to get him on the ground, to get ontop of him and smack him in the face.

I'm a little disappointet, I thought you wanted to learn about your Bloodline?" Although Kuro didn't do this for Ziren, in a way he wanted to drag out what the boy was scared of and if possible, get him to try find control of it and that wouldn't be accomplished by being scared of it. People were scared of what they didn't understand, but if they didn't even try, nothing would come of it.

Ziren knew that Kuro switched places with his staff the moment he kicked.
Before he knew it, Kuro was on top of him. But not before he threw a kunai that has a paper bomb to the side of him, a few yards away.
An explosion ensued and he used this opportunity to push Kuro off of him. He then threw another smoke bomb between them.

Ziren stayed quiet and swept Kuro's feet from under him with is own and then proceeded with a crecent kick down towards Kuro's stomach.

"You're really getting on my nerves now man!"
He then stopped talking and hid in the smoke, listening to Kuro's blood. Waiting for his next move.

He didn't get the punch in and immediately cursed at Ziren using another smoke bomb just after the explosion. He didn't see the leg sweep coming, but as he fell he managed to catch himself and rolled out of the way reflexively, dodging the follow-up kick. As he ended his roll he instantely drew and threw Shuriken from his jacket towards where Zirens voice had come, but some ended up flying randomly, hitting who-knows-what.

He stood up and tried to look through the smoke. His attempt was to no avail, which came to no surprise, but right now he didn't have much more of a hoice, as there asn't anything he could do to get rid of the smoke, so, he had to back off and jump out of the cloud. His eyes tirelessly wandering over the scene, looking for any sign of Ziren. Had he hit him? If so, was he injured? Did he loose control? Kuro drew a kunai and readied himself. Now he got really excited, this was getting interesting.

Ziren cursed as he missed and was soon followed up by being hit with a shuriken in his shoulder some others passed by him fast.
A smile crept on to his face. He checked his pouch to find that he has one smoke bomb left.
He knew exactly where Kuro was. All he needs to do now is finish this. He threw kunai out if either side to get Kuro's attention and charged straight at him out of the smoke and punched him right in his face.

"Can we stop this now!" Ziren yelled

Kuro got confused when Ziren used another Smokebomb just after he had used the third one, but that only confirmed the theory that Ziren must have an ability that made him able to locate Kuro despite the smoke. Ok, now this was a problem as Kuro had nothing similiar to this. A single pearl of cold sweat crept down his forehead as he realized that he could actually loose this. At this simple thought, loosing a what was supposed to be a training battle, just a little game he initiated, he panicked for just long enough to get irritated by the two kunai flying out of the smoke and past him. At right that moment the time seemed to stop for just a moment and just for him as he went into a state of deep panic as he knew what would come next, he had used this to start the fight, as a distartion, but could e avoid it? Panic was something he had never felt it was different from pain and fear he had felt with his parents.

A simple crack in his pyche for just this moment and it was all it took to not be able to move. He just saw a shadow approach him from the cloud of smoke as he just stood there, far to slowly moving his head towards what would turn out to be Ziren. Just before ZIren was infront of him, just before he could feel his nose break, his body started reacting of its own and his whole view changed as he simultaniously moved downward in an attempt to finally try and dodge the attack towards him. Had he acted of his own and earlier this wouldn'T have happened, this reaction of his body caused by his panic, but it did. Sadly, despite his efforts to try and dodge the punch, he wasn't fast enough and still got hit on the forehead, right above his eyes, which, to give him credit, atleast saved his nose. Ziren must have started to take it seriously, or Kuro succeded in getting him to enrage, but these thought didn't really matter as he flipped and rolled a few meter over the ground. He eventualy just layed there, he didn't know what Ziren said to him, all he could do was 'to see' as he laid motionlessly on the ground. His vision spinned, but he could clearly make out that his view was different then what it used to be and he didn't know what to do against it.

Ziren walked up to Kuro. He listened to his blood flow to make sure that he was out of the dangers zone. He let out a sigh of relief. Even though he was beat up, he seemed to be okay. Then Ziren seen something else. Was it his imagination or was Kuro's eye were red? And that tomoe... He's an uchiha?!
"Look what you made me do. Man I'm sorry about those wounds. And-Ah!"

He felt the rush of blood in his shoulder. It was exciting him even more as he stood over Kuro. But he managed to fight the desire to use his blood and threw his last smoke bomb down and ran away before his blood line tempts him to hurt his friend.

He could still hear Kuro's blood flow. But as Ziren ran away, it grew fainter and fainter. He was certain that Kuro finally stopped trying to fight.

He just lay on his back as the world spun around him. He in- and exhaled clearly audible while his face showed his emotions in the same way only a brickwall could, there were none. Eventually he heard steps, but he didn't want to react to them, he didn't understand anything that was happening. His vision was still off from how it was supposed to be as someone stood over him, but even them - he assumed it was Ziren - looked weird, as if he could see the persons chakra. Just laying there felt good, he didn't want to interact with anyone right now, especially after that panic attack he just had.

When his vision became clearer the weirdness in his eyes also vanished, by now he had almost forgotten about his little fight and only his eyes were on his mind. Whatever this had been, he had to find out what it was about. He eventually got up and cleaned the dirt of his clothes. He collected his weapons and pulled his sunglasses out of his jacket to purposely cover his eyes with them as he didn't know what had went wrong. Deeply brooding over it he would slowly walk towards the exit of the forest to head home.
