Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Tomomi and Noboru walked towards the gates in a ominous gait. The shapeshifter took on an appearence that would likely match that of a bounty hunter, one that didn't use chakra all that often. Noboru's mask fit firmly against his face, hiding the scars of a revenant from prying eyes. He wore a large overcoat to give any headstrong guards an extra moment to guess what he had going on underneath. But they were not there to cause trouble, not that day. No they sought the assistance of the great Kumogakure, whose location was all but hidden.

The woman whipped her hair to the side; it had been rather troublesome in the windy, cold weather of the mountains. Her eyes sought out the nearest individual to assist them with their request.

On guard duty for the day, Hito would be nearby; hidden in mix of foliage surrounding the gate area. His day has just started, and he could already tell it would be an eventful day. Why, only this morning, his next door neighbor had brought him breakfast. She wanted him to become more sociable, and to "cheer up". She said he seemed gloomy; that in his mind, Hito kept an eye out for travelers, people trying to run from the village to go missing-nin, and for messengers.

As his eye caught a pair of travelers making their way to his gate, he would make his way to the top of the gate, and wait for their arrival. Donning his blank mask, Hito would check all of his combat gear straps once more, and place a hand on his sword, which was strapped to his lower back. Keeping his wits about him, he wouldn't call out to the others just yet. He wanted them to come to him first.

Monitoring the gate was usually the work of an underling, but since underlings were no longer available for her to use, it was back to the scrub duty of guarding the gate. She hadn't done it in a long while, and her powers were now many times greater than many of her fellow ANBU. Even the ability to produce a malicious aura at a whim was now in her grasp, and while the intimidating factor of her many limbs matched with her octopi-mask was no longer very intimidating, (rather to the contrary, now completely comical) the over-sized mallet slung over her shoulder and giant saw blades hanging from strings hooked to her belt still made her feel comfortably bad ass. The first folk she'd likely see wanting to cross past the gate would likely soil themselves at the presence of such an over the top ANBU Captain!

Beaming with pride at the thought, she saw two approaching figures, and began to practice her ominous monotone voice with a great deal of excitement! Once they got closer, however, the Dark Sage felt her diminutive stature and funny mask steal away all her gusto and moxy. This pair outright creeped her out! Still, she swung her hammer around a couple times before menacingly standing the rather tall pounding implement and squeaking out her greeting before getting it under control "Uh... Greetings, intimidating traveler folk! How might this humble servant of Kumogakure be of service to you on this pleasant day?"

It was annoyingly difficult to get a good read on the man under his hood, made worse by her mask. However, her demonic heritage gave her some clue that these two were more than just daunting in appearance, and while she never liked to keep her "display" for more than the introductions, her grip on the leather wrap of her hammer was audibly tight.

The woman swung her hammer around a bit, though her voice sent all of her intimidation away. Noboru shook his head and turned to look at the gates in detail, marking how many guards their were, what fortifications had been made. Twas for no real purpose but to avoid this Kumogakurean guard.

Tomomi on the other hand was pleased with the individual who had the luck of helping them out. They could have got someone far less interested in actually helping them at the given time. Some headstrong fool who wanted to show their gusto in turning people away.

This was a win.

The woman smiled and bowed respectfully as was the custom in this greek-japanese land of ninja. "Well we aren't necessarily looking for entry at this time, but rather seeking help in gathering information. Should entry be required to find the information, we will cross that bridge." she began, pausing for just a bit before continuing. "My name is Akera Reiko, and my companion is Okage." Noboru smirked behind his mask when his name was said. They were false names, whether obvious to the guard or not. Tomomi was a shapeshifter and had a multitude of names she used, and Noboru was a fugitive who had been sprung from jail thanks to the Isaki family.

"We are looking for information regarding known jinchuuriki in the area. Their location, how strong they might be, whether they are a danger to the population or what not. We have some funds to pay for the information, if that is the policy of Kumogakure. Any chance that this humble gate guard would know any such information?"

(Sorry for the delay in reply, waifu is close to giving birth and the site ate my first attempt at replying >.> Will try to reply quicker from this point.)

The man was a stoic intimidating statue, and the woman was a curvy slick talking diplomat... How nostalgic, Rega thought to herserlf as she studied her hammer and sighed at their supposed reason for visiting. Jinchuuriki, a somewhat more developed level of demonic possession than what coursed through her veins in the aftermath of the doctor of nightmares' revival technique. Studying in his footsteps to undo and understand the damage, she'd run into quite a bit of information about them in Kumogakure's history, and how more important than anything else regarding the law and their existence, they were embraced when acting on the side of the country. "I can tell you we haven't seen anything like a rampaging possessed crazy person, but those who embrace traditionally 'darker' powers are not judged for having them in this village. Only our ranks contain Jinchuuriki and their powers are not up to discussion regardless of compensation, I fear. Consequently..."

Dropping her massive hammer to her side, the loud implement kicked up quite a cloud of dust, as well as rang loudly as she signaled the other guards at the gate to draw attention toward her position. The intimidation she'd felt during the approach was a distant memory now, as her ANBU training and habits kicked in at the warning signs of trouble. "If you want to enter, I will have to insist that you be escorted during your information gathering... Assuming that you have valid passports and still believe what we can inform you is worth your efforts and time, of course."

"Well damn." cursed Reiko. She looked over to Okage with a frown. They were both thinking the same thing. "Dead end."

"Well thank you for your time, we've no intention of being a bother if the great village seeks to protect those with evil within them." she concluded and gave a quick bow before motioning to Okage. "Come, come, we'll go find others to bring holy justice to." she said, restraining a chuckle. Unfortunately, Noboru couldn't help himself and blurted out laughter. Naturally, this released the lock on her own laughter. She wiped a happy tear away and shook her head.

"When a holy man hires two sinners to go out and kill a bunch of evil souls. Now that's irony." she concluded as they finally grew out of earshot.

"Evil is within all of us, as best I've seen... The trick is, much like in combat, suppression." Having played around with the building blocks of life, the mere notion that she was holier than those with somewhat more dominant demon traits made her stomach turn. Granted, with a lot of normal folk, miasma and horns were pretty startling things in a world of "magic" and large scale single entity catastrophes, but ninja were those that should know better! And these two... well, they were something, anywho.

She pondered following after them for a minute, the idea of a holy crusade certainly caught her interest in the worst way, but the gate was always the first priority. If they weren't coming inside, then they wouldn't be her concern... for now. No matter how eerie the fit of laughter might have been. "Uh... best of luck with that, you two. Jeez, doesn't anybody check their sources before hiring anymore?"
