Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

For every step she took the sound of sand grinding against rock echoed of the walls. Out of all places, Setsuko found herself in a small spiral staircase leading not up, but down – into the pitch blackness of the unknown. She had been tasked with helping Itsuko. A historian which seemed to have his focus on the ancient history of the shinobi world, judging from what the others in the academy said about him when she asked he was a seclude. Simply put, he hated people! With a determined gaze she continued her descent into the darkness, her fingers gently following her stride against the rough and cold stone surface. The end of the stair came after a few more steps and entered into a large room which was dark enough and big enough that she could not see the ceiling or the walls around her. Standing in this pitch blackness caused the hairs in her neck to rise. Taking a few steps into the room she found herself surrounded by the darkness, suddenly aware that she no longer knew which way she had entered from. ‘What kind of place is this?’ she thought to herself as the feeling of being watched grew on her. She knew that she was not alone in the room and that the other person or persons were watching her… but from where?

A few more steps into the abyss revealed nothing. She had heard a faint shuffle from somewhere to her right but then suddenly it had come from her left. “Hello?” she spoke to the darkness, trying to camouflage her voice with determination in hopes that the growing fear in it would not be so noticeable. Suddenly, out of nowhere the entire room flashed her eyes shutting out of instinct to the new bright source of light that suddenly illuminated everything. “What the…!” she growled while trying to clear her eyes of the white spots. “Welcome to the Arc, Miss Rin” a voice echoed off the walls. The voice sent a chill down her neck, it was cold, but yet intelligent and not very threatening, so why had it caused a shiver to run down her spine? “You have been assigned to help me with my research into ancient shinobi history, correct?” His voice was that of a man that knew a great deal, he sounded intelligent and yet there was some mystery to him. Setsuko, not quite sure how to respond to a person that she could not see chose to reply in an ordinary fashion. “Yes, I have”.

She hadn’t seen this Itsuko, but he had kept giving her direction where she could find books through what appeared to be a very large and very old library. She had no idea how many hours or how many books she had read or how many sheets of paper she had written but she knew the day was over when the voice echoed throughout the room again, “Oh well Miss Rin, it has been a pleasure to have you here and I do sincerely hope that we will become more acquainted over the years. Have a good night” and with that the light suddenly disappeared again, leaving only a small lamp by the staircase to illuminate her path out of the room. As she walked by the lamp and took her first step into the staircase the light disappeared, throwing the room back into its abyss of black and stillness.

(Itsuko has a very british accent)
