Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The gates, an odd thing really. Mist had a maze of caverns to get lost in, Sand had a giant hole in the ground. Cloud was, so far, the only village Hoshikata’s eyes came to rest upon that had actual gates. And in a pass no less. It was as if some great god of clichés decided to give this village the best he could. Granted they were likely useful in regards to defense against most people, but shinobi would just scale up the mountainside around them. Still, he was not here for that. He had other reasons for being here.

Hoshikata was quite different. The golden skin was gone, replaced with a much darker, olive tone. His long and unruly white hair was now a deep shade of purple, almost black if the light hit it wrong, and it was much shorter. The robes were also gone, replaced with a pair of black slacks, a matching jacket of a white dress shirt, and black dress boots. His staff was buried in the gut of a dead god, his trademark of office. The only indication the man approaching the gates was who he was would be his golden eyes, and even those lost their most noticeable feature of the unique pupil shape. But the eyes themselves were showing the same man behind them.

”Attention to the gate. I need to speed to your Raikage immediately. Tell him Isaki Hoshikata has a message for him.”

The Seer steps back against one of the walls and claps his hands behind his back as he waits.

Yuuto came to the gates clad in white. He was not looking forward to this in fact he was loathing it. Even though they were committing to a lock out, would this be another "special case"? Instead of bringing the Raikage to the gates this was one of the places where he could do his job, the shinobi civil duty. He'd approach the tan man who was not what he was expecting. Maybe he was a messenger sent by Isaki Hoshikata, but there was still the matter of the Spy Master and the Anbu who had not been heard from in such a long time.

"Welcome, while you seek the Raikage, I'll need to ask that you deliver your message here and the Kage will surely receive it." Simple instructions here, let's see if they would be met with resistance. There was an odd feeling about this man in front of him but there was no defining traits that would help with the identification. Once he had some information of where this message came from he'd go to Shin's office to discuss a number of things.

[Didn't want to claim you were Hoshikata since seemed to have changed appearance. Let me know if there is anything wrong]

A man in white approached, obviously not Shin. One brow arched above the other as he was told to deliver his message. Right. Because he trusted that in this village. Hoshikata moves away from the wall, an imprint of his form having been imprinted into it by the destabilizing nature of his new power. He was still working on controlling that, and it was harder than he thought, far more difficult than the ethereal mastery had come.

”Very well. The message is that I wish to speak with him in regards to my exile.”

It wasn't that he didn't trust this person he didn't know.

Wait, yes it was. He didn't trust anyone in this village beyond Haruka. This guy he didn't know, and for all he knew would do the same as the last time he left a message here and never deliver it. He was quite certain the man he'd left his last message with was more useless than just peeing the words into the snow and hoping the Raikage looked out his window.

(Tis fine)

Back a day, but rest was not certain until one more portion of her job was finished. He had told her when he'd be back at the gates, because Haruka did not want to toil in Port Cirrus upon their return. He had business he needed attending, as did she. So, they had split ways for only a couple days, but Hoshikata had made it clear when he would return and he said he needed her. It was not in her nature to deny him help, she needed to meet with the Raikage in any case in order to report what had happened in Mist. No one would take Hoshikata's word alone. Nor would they believe it was him in his new state.

She overheard the voices from the top of the gates as she paced back and forth hoping to catch Hoshikata before another did. She leaned over the side to see him conversing. Of course he was already having trouble getting an audience with their leader, but she expected as much. She leaned on the wall, toying with her headset. “Spymaster Shima Haruka, requesting an audience with Hayata Shin-Sama to report. Isaki Hoshikata is also in my presence. We are located at the gates.” The Raikage's tower received her request for an audience with Hayata Shin. Although who was to say just how long it would take for him to appear? And even then, he always had the power to reject their request. Although she couldn't see why. She had given a year of her life for this mission, Haruka was sure the Raikage wanted to hear her report. Gracefully, she dropped over the side, a distance away as to not alarm them. Her usual calm demeanor and cold stare clearly resting on her face as she approached.

That was fast, I was expecting you to return later in the day.” She spoke to Hoshikata casually. “I've radioed the tower.” She said more or less towards the other shinobi in their presence.

Shin had been waiting for when Hoshikata would arrive or at least when his name would be mentioned again. It was surprising that Haruka did not accompany her lover considering how much she felt about Hoshikata prior to leaving the village, or perhaps Shin was looking too much into it. Regardless. Shin was prepared to see the changed man or what Hoshikata claim he would become. He got the memo from Hitomi, his personal secretary and head of logistics, about Hoshikata's arrive a few minutes ago. At the time, Shin was preoccupied writing his personal address for the village.

"Is Shashu-san with them." Shin spoke into his headset as he began to walk out the office door. There was a brief pause before Hitomi replied. "She did not mentioned her, raikage-sama." She replied. "I see." Shin replied. Shashu was another kunochi who accompanied Haruka and Shashu on their journey. She had no personal stake in the mission so it was reasonable that she wouldn't be at the gates, still he heard no report nor did anyone else knew that she had returned. It had only been a few hours since Haruka had returned but it was enough for Shin to inquire about her.

It only took a few minutes before Shin had arrived at the gates seeing Haruka standing besides two men. One of them being Yuuto covered in white as he was about to venture into a ballroom and the other a man did not recognize.

"Is that you Hoshikata-san?" Shin asked as he tinted glasses fixed on him. "Oh and I want to personally welcome you back Haruka-san. I hope the trip was merciful on you. I apologize that I did not meet with you sooner. Also, do you know where Shashu-san is? I was hoping she would be with you when you arrived?" Shin asked as he turned toward Haruka.

[Hayata not Hayate :p]

[Since more people entered the thread and kinda just tossed me to the side, go ahead and just skip me. I'll post when something relevant happens]

At exactly that moment Shin would get a tap on his shoulder prompting him to turn around. Now, usually after completing a mission ANBU head straight to the Sileo to give a report, and any other day this would have been the case. However, desperate times call for desperate measures, and so it was that Shin would turn around to see Shashu standing just behind him cradling a truly massive pile of meat buns with five arms and another meat bun stuffed in her mouth, her sixth arm having been the one to tap him on the shoulder.

"H'lo Kaheh-sawa." She quickly finished chewing and swallowed the bun in her mouth before grabbing yet another and offering it to Shin. "Meat bun?"

Haruka was swift to show, bringing a slight smile, a genuine one, to his features before it faded once more and Shin arrived. The first thing he did was question about the ANBU that followed. Shashu was it? Well, there went the identity of their ANBU escort. The Raikage was apparently not that good at keeping classified things such. Hoshikata nods to the first question.

”Yes, it’s me. Tampering with the power of something beyond mortal boundaries has…side effects. This would be the second such transformation I’ve undergone, I do hope it’s the last. They’re very draining.” As he begins to answer the next question, a girl wanders up to the Raikage and offers him a meat bun, making Hoshikata chuckle with a smirk. ”And I’m assuming that to be Shashu behind you. As you can see, I’ve returned all of your people to you this time. In addition, I do believe I have served my time, no?”

It was a long trek from here to Mist, and a long time there. Hoshikata honestly had no clue how long the time was, he’d no idea what today’s date even was, he’d been away from civilization long enough not to care. He just knew he wanted to go in there, get a hot meal, and see if he could find some alone time with someone important.

Shin felt furry tap on his shoulder before noticing Shashu was standing right behind him. She was covered in assorted meat dishes as if she was distraught mother carrying many of her children. Shin could not help but laugh at her awkwardness as she gingerly offered Shin a meat bun with food still stuffed in her mouth. Shin grasped his face attempted to shield his sudden jolt of joy. "You are rather addicted to those meat buns as I am with tea and to answer your question I already ate." Shin said.

He turned back toward Hoshikata or the person who has identified himself as the man. "Yes, you have returned all of my people and you have served a year with the a year that you have taken from Zaku-san. However, a change in appearance and demeanor is not enough to convince us that you have changed, let your actions prove that. The only person who would know about your sudden change is either Shashu-san or Haruka-san. I will task Haruka-san to record your actions until you have proven yourself not a threat."

"I hope you do not mind, Haruka-san." Shin said as he glanced back at the woman at Hoshikata's side.

Shin's tinted glared started into the man's eyes making sure that no word escape the man. "Do no take this act of kindness lightly. I promise you if any harm happens to the people of this village without provocation because of you your will have a worse punishment than banishment. This includes branding any seals on anybody or manipulating anyone. Is this understood?"

"Now I am sure you are exhausted. Haruka-san will provide you private quarters outside of the village. Also, there is some small work that I can provide you if you are interested."

"Shashu-san. There is an important matter I need to discuss with you. If you have time please meet me in my office sometime this afternoon.."

"Also, Haruka-san. You are free to give me your personal report of your mission here. Also, I know you have give your written report to your sennin but I will like to receive it personally from you."

Instinctually she stiffened her back as if she laid across razor wires that might cut her with just the slightest pressure as the Raikage appeared. The Shima was rigid and precise in form as she stood at attention, listening to the barrage of questioning coming her way. She bowed fluidly, preparing for her report. She wondered just where 'Shashu' had disappeared to, but as she raised her eyes back to the man Haruka smiled coldly. “There she is.” She smugly mused over the ANBU's antics.

Not at all, my Lord.” Haruka replied, having watched the exchange between Hoshikata and Shin. Silence befell the Haku daughter once more as Shin set his warning towards Hoshikata in perhaps the most ominous way a man like him could muster. She doubted Hoshikata was much intimidated by the Raikage. Haruka was almost willing to bet that he found herself to be more of a fear inducing figure, but not by much. Nothing could tame Hoshikata. Nothing could scare the Isaki.

Hayata Shin kept his meetings short, but Haruka wasn't quite finished with him yet. Although, she could hardly continue here with others. “Hayata-Sama, if I may, I'd like to request a private audience with you later on in the week. I can give you my report then, but I have other matters I need to discuss.” She said the words very carefully, watching Hoshikata out the corner of her eye to gauge his reaction. She hope her sudden secretiveness wouldn't offend him any.

"I shall drop by later at your convenience, until then."

He gives not a twitch to betray the annoyance at the words of Hayata Shin. More time spent in this damned countryside, unable to relax. A nod of the head is all he gives the man for the moment, his golden eyes holding those of the Raikage. At Haruka's works he looks over to her, one eyebrow raising slightly before lowering. He trusted her. He had to. The Seer smiles, eyes twinkling suddenly.

”Well, shall we see to those private quarters?” Hoshikata chuckles, walking away himself to get lodgings for the night.
