Osu knew this was a bad idea going in, but could not let his friend Ri go off on his own into possible danger. They were in quite possibly the vilest den of less than desirable company that was the fourth stop on Ri's Bar Hop of the century. Once again Osu, being a rather girly looking eight-year-old was constantly on the receiving end of much verbal harassment and teasing from the the latest barman, who made fun of his requests for orange juice or milk, to the average drunk who could not figure out he was a boy kept pestering him why a little oujo-chan was in such a rough place, to the escorts who thought it was fun to tease him. Of course when Ri said they were going to go have a party, Osu arrived in a yukata because he thought he meant an actual party, which further increased gender confusion for many and increased the taunting.

"Ri-Senpai are you sure you know what you are doing? I don't like how many dragon emblems I am seeing in here, it seems to professional and uniform compared to the other bars. Rather, there are a lot of guys here in suits, tattoos and sunglasses even though it is nighttime. We should probably head on soon." When he said that of course some very pretty women came over asking Ri to buy them a drink too and pinching Osu's cheeks.

"I'm fairly certain at least one of you is a bit young to be here. Still would you two like to spend time with these Onee-sans?" Oh no, Osu could guess how Ri would react to this considering how much he already had to drink. Heck even if he were completely sober.

"Ri-Senpai are you sure you know what you are doing? I don't like how many dragon emblems I am seeing in here, it seems to professional and uniform compared to the other bars.

"Shhhhhhh, it's just how the employas dreps in this bar!" Ri said as he pressed his fingers to Osu's lips before stumbling over to the nearest bar, ignoring the statement that came after that. Any sense of danger was non existent in Ri's mind right now, all he knew was that there were plenty of beverages to drink and girls to see. Even though many of the men in suits and glasses seemed to be eyeing him most times he looked over to them, he would simply wave with a smile, mistaking suspicion for friendliness. The approaching women distracted him even further from any potential danger, as he examined every inch of their bodies before they spoke.

"I'd be hoppy to buy ya uh drink! An don warry bout him, he's twunty-one!" Throwing some yen on the bar's counter, he asked for a large gourd of sake and some glasses, then escorted the women to the nearest empty table. Taking a quick (incorrect) head count, he realized that the bar tender gave them to many cups, and began walking back to return one. As he walked, he accidentally bumped into one of the men in suits, and caused him to look oddly angry at him. Ri's immediate reaction was to get angry back and shout random insults at him.

"Hey you...... Punk! If you thank you're so tuff, then I challenge you to a game of..." Looking around at the various gambling games that were available in the casino, he eventually found one that seemed fun, "Black Jock!" His incorrect way of pronouncing the name of the game confused the man at first, but once he understood what he meant, he gave Ri a sinister smile and began leading him through the casino " Usu! Adventure time!" He shouted as he struggled walking beside the man he had challenged.

Many of the gamblers looked at Ri with a look of distress, almost as if they feared for his well being. But he didn't understand this, and simply yelled random insults at them for staring at him in the first place. The more Ri acted drunk, the more the man escorting him smiled his sinister smile, almost as if he knew that he was easy prey in his current state. Eventually, they came to an elevator which would take them up whenever/if Osu arrived there with them. When they did reach the destination of the game, the room that it would take place was very quiet, with more men in suits standing around a large, round table. These men seemed far more professional than the ones downstairs, and they were armed. The one that sat on the opposite side of the table from where Ri was seated seemed to be their leader, and had the same sinister smile that their escort had on before.

"I'll took you down you.. Cow ward (separate words)." All of the men that surrounded the table looked to their leader, seemingly waiting for some order to kill him for his insult, but the man simply chuckled and waved his hand to indicate that they should not intervene.

"It seems you're prepared for our game, I assume you know how to play black jack?"

"Of corps, I'm the master of black jock!" He shouted as he began to slouch in his chair.

Good... Good, then I will call in our dealer.." With that, another, very professional looking, man entered the room via a door in the back. This one had several decks of cards, which he held out to the leader for him to choose one. After the choice was made, he dealt the cards to the two and looked to the leader to see what he would do.

Osu could only watch as he noticed the situation was getting progressively worse. Ri had bumped into a man who was very obviously a yakuza. Even worse the man could tell just how drunk Ri was and accepted Ri's sudden challenge. Osu considered running for help as Ri was lead to the elevator when he was pushed forward from behind by the onee-sans from earlier who were accompanied by more thugs. "You don't want to miss your friend's game do you? Come join us and watch." Osu did not really see much of a choice. He had none of his combat gear, he would be heavily outnumbered, Ri was not really in a good condition for fighting and it was not like the situation was unsalvageable. No he would just have to go along for now and try and find a good opportunity to get Ri out of here.

Most of Osu's hope disappeared when the elevator doors opened and he saw the room and players. The room itself was decorated quietly with wealth. The decorations were sparse but each was worth more than most would ever earn. The men were well armed and well dressed, especially those sitting at the table. The man at the very center of the table was likely the Kumicho, the head of the organization. He held a breath of great power and authority as did some of his fellow players to a lesser degree. This was bad. Then Ri insulted the man, much to Osu's horror. But... it seemed their lives had been spared, which was probably their last bit of luck for the night. Involuntarily Osu gulped as the cards were being dealt.

"Oh don't worry cutie. Daddy is just playing a friendly game with him. He usually only plays for rather large sums of money but that isn't the only thing someone can gamble and your friend has quite a bit of credit right now." As she said that a man brought Ri an impressive stack of chips.

Osu was confused as he added up the value. It was more money than he thought he would ever lay eyes on. "How does he have that much credit?"

"Oh don't be so modest cutie, you are adorable! I can't wait for Daddy to win you for my collection! Now let me see if I can guess if you are a boy or a girl..." It then dawned on poor little Osu.

"...Ri-Senpai! This is a..." A large hand covered his mouth and kept him from saying more as he was escorted to the side of the room to watch the game. Osu has having trouble even struggling against the grip and could not make much noise at all. Oh this was very bad. Osu stared at the stack of chips. It was unusual and oddly flattering to have one's worth appraised like that, but more than anything it was terrifying. Ri probably had no idea he was gambling Osu's freedom with this game and they probably wouldn't let Ri in on that fact until after he lost a good deal of his chips, at which point he would have to choose between taking what money he had left and leaving Osu behind or keep betting until his own life was part of the gamble.

Osu tried to calm himself down, a challenge considering he was very well restrained. There was always a chance Ri would actually win a lot. Maybe they would get out safely with nothing going wrong. The girl who was looking to own Osu went up to Ri and started cheering for him to bet every yen he could. There was no way his friend would fall for such an obvious set up.

Osu's trust was misplaced, for Ri was far to drunk to understand just how serious the situation was. All he knew for sure, was that there was an attractive woman telling him to do something, possibly for a reward if he did it, and he was playing cards after he challenged some jack ass that bumped into him. Another thing that Ri messed up on tonight, was the game he chose.. He'd never played black jack in his life, and had no clue how to play it in the first place, meaning he'd have to wing it for the whole game and hope for the best.

As the Kumicho weighed the "risks" of calling for another card, he shot a smile to Ri. This, of course, was not a friendly "good luck" smile, this was a, "you're an idiot" smile. The man was not going to play fair, since his beautiful daughter so obviously wanted a new pet for her collection, he wouldn't just let this chance slip through his fingers. In order to keep Ri's suspicion from rising, he bet a single chip and asked for another card, revealing his cards to show that he had gotten a perfect twenty one.

"It seems I'm off to a good start." He said as he motioned to Ri, indicating that it was his turn. At this point, Ri had a very small idea as to how the game worked, but didn't doubt his ability to win. He had to show these people who was boss in order to impress the ladies that had followed them in. Looking to his cards, he had a jack and a queen, meaning that they must be trying to keep him from thinking it was rigged. But since he had no clue how to actually play, he figured that he needed the higher number to win.

Smiling, Ri asked for another card and bet 10 chips, only to get them taken away when he got above twenty one, and another smile from the Kumicho. It was likely that he was thinking Ri was an idiot at this point, not that he wouldn't assume this after he challenged the yakuza to what would obviously be a one sided card game. Now it was the dealer's turn, placing his cards, one face up one face down, he added another card that was face up and flipped the face down card to show that he had gotten under twenty one. All the chips that were bet went to the Kumicho.

"Ah, tough luck baby, I'm sure you'll get him next time!" The woman cheered as she stood behind Ri. It would be a tough night for him, seeing how, if the game took a long time to end, he would begin vomiting from the large amounts of alcohol he consumed. But this mattered not, the only thing that mattered was him impressing women and getting a reward! Money was not enough, fame was not enough, the only thing that was enough, was praise from a woman to fuel his perverted self!

The game continued the same way as it began, the Kumicho would bet small amounts of his chips and get a twenty one each time, and Ri would bet slightly more and lose. Each time he lost, he felt more and more comfortable with how the game worked, but had no idea that he was being cheated. Nor did he care currently, he believed there was money involved, and if he was sober, he could easily deal with a few thugs seeking payment for the debt he would be in.

Eventually, Ri felt so sure that he knew how the game worked, and the cheering from the woman behind him had finally gotten through to him. The Kumicho had gotten less than twenty one this time, and Ri was sure he'd be lucky enough to get the numbers he needed, so he would bet a large amount. But it wasn't just a large amount, it was the rest of his chips. Although the Kumicho seemed surprised at first, his expression simply turned into a smile. He had won, and his opponent had no idea. Ri asked for another card, and as he flipped it over, he was filled with regret. The total number ended up being over twenty one again. If the dealer got twenty one, he would be safe from the yakuza since neither of the players won, he would simply go home with no money.

The dealer repeated the same process he had every turn, and as he flipped over the card, Ri's regret turned into remorse. He was no longer drunk, as the game had gone on for a couple hours, leaving Ri sober enough to understand that he had messed up big time. The dealer's total was under the Kumicho's, and this meant that he'd be in debt. Although that wasn't the case.

"It seems I won," He said with a smile, this time directed at his daughter, "Restrain them!" He ordered. Ri looked to Osu, realizing he had been silenced throughout the entire game. Something was up, but he wouldn't act until he knew what, he was sure he could at least escape these guys if they were about to be killed.

"No Ri, don't do it! They are cheating!" Osu kept thinking at Ri hoping somehow the message would get through. But it never did. The rather terrifyingly huge man easily held him still and quiet as he was bound and silenced after Ri's first bad round. As far as they were concerned Ri had just sold Osu to them. He watched as the daughter cheered Ri on encouraging him to bet more money, causing a hollow pit to form in his stomach. After a while he stopped struggling and pretended to have given up. In part because he just did not have a chance of escaping the man's hold, and because he was waiting for the man to relax so he could try and get Ri's attention. He watched as Ri lost hand after hand after hand, the pit in his stomach growing all the while.

Then the Kumicho got a hand below 21. Osu's heart started beating rapidly as Ri pushed all his remaining chips forward. Osu started mumbling again but his mouth was covered and it didn't seem to reach Ri. Osu had one chance, he was capable of doing a couple things without hand seals. He formed a small knife made from blood in his hand and started cutting at the rope binding his wrist slowly and quietly. He looked around the room as he did so noting just how many gaurds stood between them and the exit, which was an elevator of all things. Considering they could probably turn it off if they even got lucky enough to get on it and if they tried to take the stairs they would likely be cut off, their only real hope was to try and leave through the window and hope, considering just how far from the ground they were, none of the thugs had chakra training or would otherwise be able to follow them.

There was a detail Osu had not considered though. When the boss had shouted for them to be restrained and Osu broke free of his bind and tried to rush forward to get Ri's back, he learned just how well trained these thugs were, mostly due to the quick prick he felt on the back of his neck as he left the man's grip. Osu made it a few steps before feeling rather dizzy. He stumbled another step and tried to form chakra but found not only that he could not even get a bit together, but coherent thought was fading fast. "Ri I was the credit... I am... They pumpkin eaters... Window now run..."

All around them weapons were already drawn and Osu felt gentle hands pick him up off the ground. "No you silly little thing, you belong to me now, your friend took the money. We could of course return you but..."

"Sadly your friend doesn't seem to have anything left to purchase you with. Well aside from his own freedom." He turned to Ri with a smile full of fake kindness. ""If your friend wishes he is free to go. It is a shame, though. If he had simply cashed his chips to start with he would have at least left rather wealthy but that is just how Lady Luck decided things to go tonight. It has been a pleasure playing with you young man, but this is a rather exclusive room." As he said this the girl holding Osu stepped back as guards stepped between them and Ri. "Unless you have anything left of worth to bet I must ask you to leave."

Osu dangling helplessly from the surprisingly strong girl's arms managed to string together a few words. "Run... Ri... Get... elp..." Osu's eyes started drooping heavily, then started closing tight and a bit of saliva formed at the corner of his mouth.

"Oh how adorable is this thing?! I can't wait to see how cute its face is when it finally breaks down and gives up. I hope this one doesn't break as easily as the last one though." The girl said, referring to Osu as an object and squeezing him tightly. He was barely hanging on to any form of consciousness but he still felt just how much trouble he was in.

It's a good thing that Ri was sober enough to realize what was going on, otherwise there would be no way he could react to the scenario which just began. It seemed that Osu was shot with something to make him fall asleep, or die, no way for him to tell currently. The Kumicho seemed to be waiting on a reply from Ri, but he had another idea in mind. He needed to save Osu, seeing how it was probably the only person that he could even consider to be one of his friends currently. Well, that and he wasn't a total ass hole, not just gonna leave a kid behind.

First things first was his own protection, making a few hand seals, Ri formed what looked like stony scales all around his skin. This would protect him from any of those darts, should they be used against him. Next he needed to take care of the guards, another set of hand seals, and he formed a large chunk of metal at the end of a metal rod. Using this to smash through what enemies stood in his way, he threw it to the side. Now the only one left in his way was the bitch who wanted Osu as her little play thing, she should be easy enough. Ri jumped into the air and reeled back for a punch, as he got close, he threw his fist at her and knocked her to the ground. Grabbing his acquaintance, Ri quickly ran to the only clear exit at the time, the window! Thankfully, he recently gained some abilities that could prove to be quite useful in their current situation.

As they ran for the exit, the remaining guards tried to stop them. "You guys are persistent!" Ri yelled before flipping over them, thank Shinbatsu for his acrobatic abilities! Immediately after landing, he smashed through the window which was now directly in front of them, making sure to keep Osu from being cut by the shards of glass. The strange sensation of falling came quickly as they began plummeting to the ground, and it was then that Ri realized, that they were a whole hell of a lot higher than he thought. Though even at this height, he'd have to act fast to protect their well being.

Flying through some hand seals, he manipulated the gravity around them to slow their descent, then moments before they would've slammed into the ground, they landed "softly" instead. Ri was given a moment to realize just how insane of an idea that was, before seeing that the yakuza were still after them. "Did you guys expect us to jump!?" He asked as he began running from their group, though he expected no answer. Soon after the chase began, their opponents pulled out guns, and Ri had no clue what they were. He had never actually seen a gun before, so at first he figured they were some strange melee weapons.

His ignorance was soon fixed, however, as they started shooting these guns. Ri was surprised when he heard noises directly behind him and in front of him, even though the enemies were still fairly far back. So his only option was to run faster, since he had no clue how to react to some form of sorcery he had never seen before. And since it didn't seem like any kind of jutsu, making this even more confusing!

After a bit of running, they came nearer to where the Susukino district ended, and where the residential area of the village began. If these bastards were willing to chase them this far, then they were in for a long... Long night.
