The forest so green, lush and relaxing with its wild life roaming freely around. The sun is out and it is slightly cloudy as Kato enters the ancient forest. After a long day in Genjutsu class with Do-Sensei, Kato came here to relax now that the rain is gone. Passing his first class Kato smiles as he looks around the woods seeing and feeling the powerful memories held here as he joins them by sitting on the ground next to a hollow log. stretching and letting him self relax Kato closes his eyes and lets the weariness and exhaustion take him.
As Kato is relaxing a dark presence emerges in chakra but, not in sight seemingly invisible to Kato. Wincing, Kato moves his hand to his wolf tattoo on his back as it starts glowing dark red. "The time has come Kato." says a familiar voice. Kato quickly gets on guard as he suspects someone is trying to ambush him but, as he looks around nothing is there. "Huh..what was that voice.." He says as he suddenly grabs his head and screams in pain as his tattoo burns his skin and his mind is hurting. "Kato, it's me, you know me Kato...Look the pond." As Kato's head is hurting he turns to the clear blue, reflective pond and crawls to it in pain.
Looking into the pond Kato sees his own reflection, nothing supernatural or different just Kato. "Look closer.." says the voice that seems to be getting louder and louder. Looking closer at his reflection Kato's eyes go wide as he sees that the reflections eyes are glowing bright crimson red and he has a malicious grin on his face, after a second of looking at the reflection it seems to talk with the voice. "Hello Kato...remember me yet?" the reflection says while smiling with a toothy grin. Kato trys to think back as far as possible to think who this person is before the color drains from his skin.
"Oh no....you the one...in my dreams..." Kato says as he starts moving away until his head has a sharp pain and he has to stop. "Relax Kato, I will not hurt you, you are my host hurting you means hurting myself." the reflection says before looking directly at Kato. "I am Basara, i am a minor demon and your Kato Michinori are my host and vessel." Basara says as he smiles his demonic canine grin.
Kato sits there stunned a million things running through his mind at once. "Basara.." he says as he is trying to understand everything. "What do you mean by host and vessel.." Kato says worried as he is watching for any suspicious activity.
Basara laughs a bit before smiling, thinking of Kato as naive. "Ah...such a question i can get from one of my kin...Kato-san...remember...when you were young i found you in the woods alone, helpless. I offered to take you and you were happy with it so when i merged us you went on a rampage.. Basara says as images seem to replay is Kato's mind. "This is what has happened since you were little Kato...the mark is there as a symbol of the merge." Kato sits cross-legged rubbing his tattoo as it all starts becoming more familiar. "The contract of power...of soul..." Basara starts to fade as his time is coming to an end. "Good Kato im glad you remember, now i have to go my chakra is used up and it is time to go." Basara fades away leaving a confused and stunned Kato. After a few minutes, Kato recovers and smiles slightly looking down.
"More of my past and future to research..heh better get cracking soon, i will learn more about Basara and what my personal limits are." Taking all of this new knowledge back to the town Kato makes sure he picks up everything so the area is back to normal before he starts heading back.
