The Toraono Triplets: Ruka, Riyoko, and Reina

Collective History​

A trio of medical kunoichi, the Toraono Sisters show obvious signs of their powerful lineage. The potent genes of the Toraono often caused multiple births, twins or triplets that is. Their father, Toraono Kiretsu while not a part of the Main-House, was a small legend in his own right. As cousin to the likes of Toraono Kaibudo, he had much to prove. Under the sigil of Hyou's banner, Kiretsu carved his legacy. By the time he was thirteen he'd already earned reputation as a formidable Taijutsu combatant. Another six years later, and he was a rising star. Another twenty years after that, he'd begun settling down due to illness, but fathered fraternal triplets before he left. Having died when his daughters were all young, his accomplishments and family name kept them cared for. They were raised by their mother, who then considered a member of the clan through marriage still. As such, the girls were afforded living situations at the Toraono Dojo and became established Shinobi in their own rights. With their father dead, their name went from Hyou to Toraono as Kuro's clan welcomed them deeper as kin. There was no disrespect to the house of Hyou with the change in name, only respect for the house that continued to provide for their needs.

Though sisters, the three of them have very different personalities, marked by few similarities. If it weren't for the shared chocolate skin and white hair, one wouldn't believe they'd been raised with together. Though all medical professionals, none of them work in the same field. Ruka chose to use her intellect in pursuits of botany and chemicals as a physician. Ryoko used her medical knowledge and Ninjutsu prowess on the battlefield. Reina, seeking thrills with which to test her supernatural strength, chose to be a paramedic. Reina liked the thought of getting there with a chance to face off against whatever was strong enough to put down another. While their jobs rarely if ever overlapped, every weekend they'd meet for dinner at their mother's home. In that sense, they maintained a close family connection even if they weren't always together.

十一 Appearance

• Standing at 5'9" and keeping her weight a mystery, Ruka is clearly on the thicker side. Her thickness is a thing of voluptuous beauty, rather than a product of unhealthy eating, or disproportion. Her bust is full, visibly soft, and barely hidden by her dress. Ruka's chocolate colored flesh was supple and soft. Her curves were obvious, and a scanty crimson kimono showed much skin. The kimono had a split going up and over her right hip, revealing ebony strings of side-tie panties. Bridal gauntlets and stockings of the same shade covered most her arm and legs. A small cowl and collar rests about her neck as well. With long white hair reminiscent of Toraono Kuro's bloodline, she showed minor demonic traits. She had what some would refer to as "Antennae Hair", two meager locks curving up and sharply down like antennae indeed. While that's hardly enough to warrant demonic lineage, her elongated and pointed ears removes remaining doubt. Her eyes are like golden spheres, and her expressions often melted the resolves of many. Her skin also carries a subtly red undertone, that at times can become dominant.

十二 Persona

• Plants could be both beautiful and deadly, something that describes Ruka herself in many ways. Relatively calm and soothing in her disposition, she can be surprisingly cold. Sensual to a fault while being nearly as haughty, Ruka sees little use for others. Viewing herself as the eldest due to being first born of the trio, she holds herself to high standards. Much more likely to manipulate your mind or poison your drink than outright fight you, none have witnessed her fight outside examinations. Extremely intelligent, she formulates her own toxins as well as medicines. Beneath her hedonistic shell lies a warm heart, that spurred her towards the medical branch. She could have just as easily used her knowledge and poisons as an ANBU, but felt being able to prescribe and offer the things others needed was better. Not feeling it necessary to put her life on the line for strangers, she's been called anti-social and selfish at times. With the exception of her sisters and her mother, Ruka mingles rarely. When she does, it's usual for the material pleasures of the moment. Seeing very little honesty and character in most, she's lost faith in things like true love. Instead, she'd only seek companionship for the relief it brings. It didn't matter if the relationship was real to her, for who was?

十三 History
The first to spring forth from her mother's womb, Ruka took her position as eldest seriously. Never wanting to fall a step behind her sisters, she was always studying and learning. Early on, she showed an affinity for illusions. That would later be used alongside her great intellect in combat using poisons. Early on she discovered the secrets of many Genjutsu, eventually developing abilities that allowed for her to enter and control the minds of others. While not telepathic, Ruka's sharp instincts allow for her to read most people accurately. Often spending her time in the Throne of Bone researching, or tending her garden, she remained a mostly mysterious girl to those around her. During her teenage years, she was known to have a few trysts and even still. However; love was never something she'd be able to find in the hearts of others.

Her personality and temperament didn't allow for rash behavior, and thus her skill-set was personalized. Her poisons were made from plants of all sorts she kept in her garden, a collection of fauna from all over Wind Country. With strong ties to nature due to her father's blood, her powers manifested themselves by allowing her to create plants as well. In combat, she most often uses her energies to create venomous projectiles. After tossing any of her plants into the air, they're capable of exploding into a storm of razor-sharp thorns, petals, or leaves. As with most of demonic blood, she has the ability change into a stronger form. Her transformation turns her into a being of pure intangible energy, or so the reports from her examiners have quoted. The truth is, without duties outside of pharmaceuticals, she had little reason to show her strength and almost never did. In the past, she has served on the occasional squad but preferred poisoning her opponents and seduction to straight forward methods, able to handle entire missions on her own with ease. After spending a few years as a Chūnin medic, she became a full time physician.

十一 Appearance

• Liker her sister, she stands at 5'9" but that's if you're not counting her ears. The most influenced by her demonic blood, Riyoka sports long rabbit ears that sprout from the top of her head. The ears seamlessly blend in with her long whitened hair, only darkening at their tips. Riyoko's fingernails looked more like claws, and her slender form curved in all the best places. Appearing to dislike clothing as much as her sisters, she wears what could hardly be considered armor in the form of a black negligee. The skimpy and thin piece of fabric was outfitted with protective leather bits at times but it was clear she thought more would only slow her down. Eyes that shifted between mahogany and crimson often seemed focused. Capable of making sultry expressions like the rest, her demeanor is much more upbeat and pleasant than Ruka's for certain. Taking her rabbit-like traits and running with it, her armor leaves room for her upturned tail above her backside, which likely wouldn't have been comfortable otherwise.

十二 Persona

• Riyoko doesn't understand the meaning of subtle, nor shyness. Forever at one with nature, she is always in the moment. Extremely proud of her body, she shows it off for even her opponents in combat. Taking pride in her father's memory as a champion, she chose to become a hero in her own right by saving the lives of her allies on the field. Insidiously fast, and full of countless tricks, Riyoko can be a nuisance. Though flirtatious, she remains very assertive in nature. Resting is a chore for her, and whenever given the chance she will embark on another journey. Fun-loving at heart, she's the sister most likely to be found at a dance or trying to start one up. Fearless by nature, she darts around the field using her Ninjutsu and bow techniques before most folks know what happened. Though capable, she'd always take a chance to help her ally over a shot at her enemy. This is made easy with her skill-set, allowing her to bind and distract without effort while healing her allies. Overflowing with energy, she's been known to intimidate lesser confident males. Unable to find anyone that can keep up, she merely laughs at those who cannot and seeks another.

十三 History
Having been the second to leave her mother's womb, Riyoko is considered the middle-child. She naturally had something of claim over one sibling, and graciously accepted her place as second to the other. Competition was the furthest thing from her mind, choosing rather to do things as she pleased without comparison to another soul. Of all her sisters she seemed to possess the most feral instincts and traits, and reasoned in an almost animal-like manner with focus on the present and the now. Things like food, warmth, and companionship meant more to her than strength or power. Generally quite loving even though boisterous and rambunctious in nature, she is the most affectionate of the triplets. Her warm heart is linked closely with nature, much in the way that Ruka's abilities allow her to create flowers. However; much more open and true about herself and her feelings, that skill manifests itself in a much more potent manner. Instead of flowers, vines, and other small types of greenery, Riyoko has the ability to create actual trees. Being born in the desert made her ability stand out, and she often used it to provide food for her friends and those close to her.

It was as she got older and saw more and more of her fellow citizens harmed that she decided on a career path. Able to move swift as any dart, and wielding control over everything from vines to massive tree trunks and roots, she took to the battlefield. Using her skills to actually control the board like a game of chess, she is easily the most disruptive of her sisters in combat. Instead of waiting until people became sick or injured to heal them, she decided it was best to be there at their sides and prevent harm on the spot. With a fierce loyalty to her village, and thus comrades, she unleashes a living forest from beneath her very feet against their enemies. Often blunt and simple in nature people often know what she's thinking even if they have no interest in the matter. From her perspective, life with her sisters was simply a fun experience and she never held any grudges for any reason. She's more often than not the one that's excited to meet up with her mother and siblings on the weekends to chat about life and work. Her combat skills are widely known and accepted as great, with practically nobody challenging her viability on any front.

十一 Appearance

• Negligibly shorter than both of her sisters, Reina stands at 5'8". She's often wearing a black suit with red and dark purple highlights. Her clothing would be similar to Riyoko's but without the animal characteristics or frills. Instead, there were powerful steel alloys molded into a swimsuit like armor, and trinkets that amplified her strength. Covering her ears and crown at almost all times would be an invention of her's, that helped to regulate and boost her hearing capacity at a controlled rate. Like Ruka, she wore long stockings and ebony bridal gauntlets beneath armored plating. Unlike the darker hue of her sisters' eyes, her's were a ghostly and almost neon blue. Though her attire was as revealing as that of her siblings, her clothing was at least more viable despite the exposed skin.

十二 Persona

• As the last to be born, she absolutely rebelled against the very gesture of being treated as the baby. She would be the one to view both her sisters as little more than rivals. Instead of having the cool and calm personality, she ended up with fiery passion and ambition. Naturally the least demonic of all in terms of appearance, Reina also was the most underestimated. Caring primarily about proving her strength and little else, Reina is willing to use just about any tactic to defeat her opponent. Nothing for her was considered to barbaric or too underhanded, and she'd be the first to smile at you and bite your face off the next second. Although alluring in appearance, she is far from inviting. With little care for the feelings of others, she speaks harshly and rejects most compliments or advances. Her only desire is power, and to maintain a sort of familial duty to her Clan. Just as sharp as the other two, she uses her intellect to persuade and manipulate others in a more direct manner. The only reason she became a medic was to prove to her sisters and herself that she could be one too, and thus gravitated towards the paramedic path. She held no sorry on her heart for the dead she would see upon arrival, only anticipation of where their assailant might be. Excited by a challenge, she's also willing to cross many a moral line on the way to increasing her strength.

十三 History
Born with demon in her heart than in her flesh, Reina was the last triplet to be born. While the first two gave no problems on their own, it seemed that Reina had grasped Riyoko's umbilical cord which made delivering Riyoko marginally more difficult. It seemed that even inside the womb she hated the very thought of being last at anything. She'd take competition to a whole new level, squaring off against anyone of her peers whenever she was doubted in the academy. The abilities and characteristics of those around her were always something she noticed, and at times envied. Still having supernatural blood running through her veins, it was unveiled that she possessed the ability to control sound. Always seeking to have an advantage, she studied the capabilities of sound for years until understanding its ability to affect things even on a molecular structure. Brilliant, she quickly mastered the subtitles of her element to the finest detail until she unlocked darker secrets.

She found that she could alter the mood, minds, and and bodies of her opponents. Reina could channel the vibrations through her body, making a missed strike successful beyond logical proportions. After a time she even learned how to drain the hopes and dreams from the soul... Even if only for a temporary moment. Her skills grew, to the point that her haunting songs would pierce the veil of reality and commune with other demons... Those banished from the material plane. She'd beckon them to her call, loyal servants to her beautiful but cruel words. Combining those skills with her power over sound let her even trap sound in small crystals, able to replay and reuse them at her whim. Though she didn't have the raw power Riyoko did, her versatility was almost boundless. Able to show up and change the tide of battle when all seemed lost, Reina found the life of a paramedic one suiting her tastes. She's usually the one to blow off the weekend meetings with the family if anyone of them does, but she always tries to make it up to her mother in the end even though she appears indifferent to the feelings of her sisters.
