Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Once again, I would look at the blonde child in front of me as I waited for him to respond to my questions and continue our little dialogue that we were having with one another after his hard-fought battle against my guard where he came up just short. In all honesty, his mind seemed quite absent since he got hit hard and fallen, but he also was young and likely was suffering some side-effects from this combative spar that he endured. After all, it was highly unlikely that he was accustomed to these sorts of things with the somewhat frail appearance that he gave off to me. But, I had been proven wrong before and this likely would be another instance of that since our students almost always proved me wrong in some way. They were after all being taught in the best village with the best foods and drinks along with other best things that would take hours to describe. Only time would tell if my assumption was right or not!

After a few moments, it would appear that he would snap back into reality and explain to me what poison he had chosen to inflict on my guard. It was actually a well-known one around the village that caused instances of blindness and made it quite difficult to fight properly. Considering that the side-effects could be quite problematic in the long-term, it was a good thing that he kept the details about the poison at a minimum and got right to work as I saw him using what appeared to be an advanced technique to carefully extract the poison. It was actually quite interesting to watch the boy work so carefully with his techniques to remove the poison without causing long-term damage to the guard. Sure, she had black gas escape her mouth and she responded accordingly by freaking out, but Shin did not once stop or tense up based on how she reacted. It was a good sight to see from a child so young in age, but so much more wise than some of his predecessors who walked into these grounds and showcased their skills. This whole procedure would take a few minutes and I would observe everything that transpired so I could add it to the Oracle books at a future date if I didn't forget to do so which I was notorious for doing. At the end, Shin would present his prize to me and I would just shake my head and a hand with a smile on my face as I didn't need his item to show me that he had been more than capable of doing a procedure.

As he was handling his little capsule-like poison, he would speak informing us that the side effects from the poison should be ending shortly which brought a relief to the guard for obvious reasons which included a long and loud exhale from her mouth. While the guard was relived to hear this noise, Shin would continue talking and ask me personally if I knew anything about shadows which was an odd question to ask someone since we all had a shadow so I obviously knew about them. However, he would go even a little further and point past my shoulder saying that he was seeing something behind me. As he closed his eyes, I would turn around and for a brief moment I would see a shadowy figure that was clad in armor of some sort and just peering right at me.

However, this sight would vanish only after a few moments and I would look back at the boy who still had his eyes closed and had to question exactly what he had done. It was a rather peculiar technique if he was trying to play games with me, but the way that he had been acting up since he awoke from his unconscious state made me feel like he wasn't trying to mess around with me. In other words, something was off or odd to put it mildly though I had no exact idea what was transpiring so I would have to let it go for now. Besides, the boy appeared to be quite shook up from this all so it was best to let him alone with it for now.

Trying my best to change the subject, I would bring my hand to my face and clear my thought before simply saying: "I know of shadows as we all have them. But after seeing what I believe you just showed me, I do not feel that I know of the shadows that you are asking me about. However, I will do some research into them and see if I can find any information in the library about it that might be able to assist you, Shin. But, let's talk about your results from your exam. Shall we?" I definitely wanted to deviate from his question since I did not have an actual answer for him and it was better to not let him reflect on it for too long or it would spoil his day and the happiness that would come from what I was about to say.

Clearing my throat again, I would walk over to the boy and place one of my hands on his shoulder, smiling as I spoke to him with a gentle tone in my voice: "Based on my mental calculations, you have passed your Genin Exam. When it comes to your fighting skills, they are your weakest area and where you will want to spend most of your time training. You have an excellent grasp on the basic jutsu however needed to survive in this cold, harsh world and you're mentally more suited than many of your peers at this time when they were taking their exam. If I may make a suggestion, I would advise trying to use more Ninjutsu or Taijutsu when you are fighting as your illusionary techniques are great, but they truly do not have the same impact on an opponent in the long run. However, I am not you and thus, I cannot tell you what you should and shouldn't do technically as we all are built differently and what works for me may not work for you." It was true, he had graduated from the Academy, but he still had a long way to go before he was anywhere close to where I was in strength, courage, endurance, wits and so forth. I didn't think that he was incapable of getting there though, but he would have to bust his butt to get anywhere close to me. But if my former apprentice was capable of defeating me in combat and showing that she was more than capable of handling herself, I had no doubt that Shin could do the same.

But, the happy news did not stop at passing him and making him a Genin. No, there was more that I had to say to him as my other hand would go on his other shoulder as I continued speaking to him. He was going to love this next piece of information for sure since it was where he said he wanted to be afterall. I would say the following: "Also, I am offering you a position in the Medical Branch starting off as a medic-in-training if you are interested. You showed me that you can handle yourself while under pressure in combat and also when tending to someone who needs your help. You also have many unique jutsu that truly would be beneficial to the medical field, yourself, and me personally. However, my only condition if you accept my offer is I want to provide you with a seal that will give you an additional source of strength and endurance in the Hospital and also when you are doing field work or assisting someone that needs you. The seal is a strong one though and should not be abused as it also has consequences if you overuse it. What say you, Chikamatsu Shin?"

The offer was on the table for him now with one small condition that needed to be agreed upon. But, he was so close to having everything that he wanted as an individual thus far in his life that I highly doubted that he would argue with my condition. However as I said before, these students were notorious for surprising me and I wouldn't put it past him to offer a rebuttal. But, only time would tell and the ball was in his court so to speak. What would he do?

Shin's attention would focus onto his proctor as she would go to answer his question. He was truly concerned with what was happening to him but the way Kyuji-Sama was speaking it eased him slightly. The idea of having the Medical Chief research this topic made him feel as if the answer would come to him soon. He trusted her and felt a strange connection to her, though they had just met. Perhaps the boy knew her in a pass life. Perhaps the roles were reversed and Shin was a young lady and she was a man. Regardless he would nod at his proctor. "Thank you Kyuji-sama." Feeling the strength return to him slowly the boy would rise to his feet, though his balance wasn't perfect initially. He was once again regaining control over his body as he anxiously gave an awkward smile at his proctor as she began to give her analyses of the Yamanaka's potential as a Genin.

"Thank you..."<i></i> As the boy spoke he bowed to his proctor, a smile stretched across his face as he finally did it. Coming back to an upright position he would carry on with his sentence. "...I am trying to master more of the other Jutsu disciplines, perhaps my training as a Genin will help me gain a better grasp on these techniques."<i></i> The boy would think about the elements he had at his grasp. Earth, Wind, Water, and Lightning were the elemental chakra that the boy had an affinity towards. He needed to studies these more and learn how to direct these energies into Ninjutsu that he could use in combat. Along with these elements the boy was also able to conjure Wood style techniques, Paper and Ink, as well as Poisons. If he could channel these more advanced elements he felt like he could do his new ally right. As his mind would wonder about these possibilities he felt a hand land on his shoulder. Focusing back to reality the boy locked eye contact with the woman before him.

Essentially breathless the wasn't expecting this news. He was getting offered a position in the Omni Prime Medical Complex! "Of course I accept Kyuji-sama!"<i></i> The boy was clearly excited. He had heard of seals being placed on the body before and the extra strength that they could give. It was most likely something that the boy would need to progress in this field. Turning around and taking to his knees the boy would grab the neck of his shirt and pull it to expose the skin at the base of his neck. This was were the seal would be placed. He took a deep breath. "I will do anything to better myself for the sake of the Village."<i></i> Closing his eyes he was ready.

As I stood there, it would not take the Chikamatsu teenager too long to make his decision and clearly show that he was excited about the offer that he had been given. In all honesty, I felt happiness from seeing his reaction that a true smile surfaced onto my face for the first time in quite a while. Maybe, it was because I was still adjusting to my new body and all the attributes that came with it, but I truly was happy for the child as he likely had worked his ass off so hard growing up to get to where he was at such a young age. I mean it was truly remarkable that he was capable of using so many different element-based techniques and he actually had grasped everything that the Academy was able to give him into his brain. My only complain was the fact that he was still young, naive, and physically was incapable of really putting up much of a fight if the village needed him to do so.

Fortunately for him, I was capable of giving him a seal that would give him a much needed boost in his power at the cost of putting a lot of strain on his body in the process. I truly didn't want to do this, but I needed to build him up to be a stronger medic for myself and also an ally if I would need him if shit hit the fan with my clan. As he finished talking, he would kneel in front of me with his neck revealed to me to seal him and his eyes closed. It was time to do what I told him that I would do, but before I actually did that, I would put my hand to my side and my celestial blade would appear in my grasp as I walked around him and put my blade on his shoulder and began to speak: "Chikamatsu Shin, you are hereby a Genin of this village and a Medic-in-Training of the Hospital and me. By my blade touching you, you are now my underling and apprentice in the branch. With this, I am informing you that you will be accompanying me to Tea Country for the World Martial Arts Tournament as I will be participating in it. You will be my personal medic while we are there and you will join me when we meet with the Medical Sennin of the other villages to discuss a potential medical alliance between our villages."

My sword would be removed from his shoulder as it vanished in a celestial light as I walked behind him and knelt down behind him putting my one hand on his back as I continued to speak: "I am going to begin the sealing process. Everybody is different during the process so I cannot ensure you what will transpire as your body accepts the seal. Stay strong though as this will make you a stronger individual and a better candidate to take over my position in the branch when I get too old to continue or have my untimely passing. I want you to succeed me when the time is right, Chikamatsu Shin. So again, be strong here and make me proud as you grow as a human being and as a shinobi."

I would then take my other hand and bite it drawing blood to the surface as I put it onto his neck and dug my nails into him exposing his own blood in the process. It was then that I emitted a whitish aura, that was related to my relationship with the celestial being known as Byakko, and a blackish marking began to infuse on his neck with the blood of us both and his body reacted to the sealing with minor twitches as it was probably trying to handle a foreign entity entering into it. As it infused, Shin could likely hear his own heart rate increasing slightly as my breathing became heavier as I used my other hand as support to hold onto him. The process in total would take five or so minutes and the combination of his natural energy and the infused seal of my chakra would likely violently react initially with one another before settling itself down. However, I truly would just have to wait and see how his body truly handled it.

Expecting to feel the presence of chakra the blond child was shocked to feel the blade of a sword land on his shoulder. His eyes opened quickly as he realized what was happening. He was officially a Genin in title and a Medic-in-Training by trade. A smile inched on his face as the woman would continue. She declared Shin to be her apprentice and to study underneath her, which shocked him. She was the Medical Chief and she asked him to be a direct downline from her; he was ecstatic to be able to train under the very best in the field. Not only was he to study under her but he was going to be her personal medic at the much anticipated World Martial arts Tournament that the Tea Country was hosting. This meant that the Yamanaka child had a lot to study in a short time and would need to dedicate himself to the branch and this field of study. Knowing that he would be there amongst the Villages' Medical Sannin ignited the passionate spark even more. The idea of meeting with the best of the nations made Shin swell with excitement. The boy's eyes were filled with passion that made the blue seem even more pristine.

"I will do my best to make you proud Kyuji-Sama."<i></i>

Once again closing his eyes he could feel her hand press against his battered back. The idea of Shin taking over the branch one day was unfathomable to his young mind. The idea that he could have the strength and knowledge to lead the entire Medical Branch was just something he thought he would hear the current Chief say. He was happy and filled with joy, that was until a sharp pain would etch into his neck. Her nails pierced his skin drawing blood as she began the sealing process. Shin instantly let out a scream.

The room itself would begin to get filled with shadowy aura as the boy's mind began lashing out causing ripples between the lines of this world and the unseen one to merge. Shadowy forms would fluctuate around all of those in the room, as if they were unknowingly haunted by spirits. His Yamanaka mind was lashing out a slew of illusions that made for Grandiose Phantoms to appear to be real. The world that Shin was now seeing was slowly becoming apparent as the manifestations of these darker souls would flicker in and out of reality. Stripes of absurd colors danced through the air contorting reality within them. Blue and greens would wrap the white marble scenery to a dessert filled with falling flowers. This of course was all an illusion that the boy's mind was creating and was not real. Anyone with any knowledge of Genjutsu would most likely realize this but having the blood of the Mind Clan the young boy wasn't always able to restrain his Genjutsu output.

The white aura was a stark contrast to the shadowy visions being manifested by the young Phantom Lord. He could feel her overpowering chakra enter his body as well as the blood that carried what he could imagine was the source of her strength. A searing sensation began to intensify on the base of his neck as black marks would slowly begin to form that of a lotus flower. As each petal formed he could feel the intensity slowly grow more and more powerful. In total there were thirteen petals that formed on the Holy Seal that the Medical Chief had bestowed upon the young medic. And as soon as the pain began to worsen it began to alleviate it;self. As if retracting and subsiding on command of the Byakko Descendant the boy's muscles and skin still twitched as his mind began to ease back to a more stable state, but due to this intense emotional outburst Shin could feel the seal which held this strange girl had slightly fractured. He could once again feel her hatred and animosity, but he knew that he had to keep it repressed.

As I expected during the sealing process, the boy's body decided that it would react somewhat violently to a foreign entity combining and entering it. However, I did not expect it to react so violently that he would scream out in agony before showing me everything that he was seeing yet again. In all honesty, these visions that I was seeing were quite alarming especially coming from someone so young and innocent like this boy. Honestly, I truly wanted to know why I personally saw a shadowy figure behind myself which looked like myself slightly and was wearing armor from head to toe briefly before it vanished. It obviously was what Shin was referring to as Shadows, but I had no idea what they were. Unfortunately, I did not have an answer for him on why he was seeing these things nor exactly what was going on which was alarming to me since I knew relatively a lot considering m affiliation as an Oracle. This would be my focus when I had time in the future to do some research and possibly experiment with the blonde haired trainee to see if he could provide an assistance.

For now, the sealing was complete as I saw a lotus flower appearing on his neck which did not surprise me at all since he was a part of the Yamanaka Clan. As stated earlier, his body had reacted as I anticipated with trying to cope with the significant increase in power that was now at his disposal. However, he would be fine after a little bit of time as many people's bodies, including a demigod's like myself, negatively reacted initially but then settled themselves down. It was somewhat expected during the sealing process which is why I haven't reacted too much to seeing Shin's reactions to the sealing. Besides, he had been offered the opportunity to be my apprentice and accompany me to a meeting with the Medical Sennin of the other villages; thus, he needed to get stronger physically, mentally, emotionally, psychologically, and so forth if he was going to eventually represent our village in a meeting in a foreign nation.

Seeing as our time together had reached its conclusion though, it was time for me to respond to the child in front of me who was in obvious pain. Unfortunately for him, I could not give him anything that could aid him through this process as it had to be resolved naturally as it would allow him to endure the pain, but also allow his body to grow stronger! However, I knew that he likely was not entirely pleased with me so I gave him the ground that he needed as I responded directly to him: "You are dismissed, Shin. I will have the Academy send your headband to your residency and you will be given your medical outfit as a trainee when you come to the Hospital. It was a pleasure getting to know you a little better today. Before you go though, I want to tell you something. Please rest your body for the next few days since the sealing can have side-effects which include distorting your balance and fatigue. You need to allow your body to naturally adjust to this new power sealed into you so don't overdo anything until your body is ready."

After I spoke, I would look at my guard who was still relatively nearby and nod to her as she knew what I was asking. If Shin allowed her to do so, she would walk beside him offering assistance to the boy as needed as he headed out of the Byakko Clan's portion of the estate and into the main entrance where she would ask him if he wanted to go to the waiting area to rest or if he would be okay to continue to walk. Regardless of the decision, she would accompany him and keep him safe and sound, but she would have her guard up in case he attempted to do anything to her! However if Shin decided to stay put, I would simply stand there and wait for a response from him.

Slowly opening his eyes the boy could feel the burning sensation on the back of his neck slowly subside. Letting out a long held breath the boy couch a little bit as his body was still adjusting to the holy mark that was placed upon his body. The sensation of having this reserve of power was noticeable to him, quite literally a weight on his shoulders, but he knew he could endure. His new sensei had a lot expectations for him and he could not do her wrong. Pressing his hand onto his knee the boy would wobbly stand before he felt the hands of the guard catch him as his balance was slightly off. Between his first actual physical altercation and receiving this seal the boy was weak. "Thank you Kyuji-Sama. I will take a week of rest to make sure I am fully healed from both this process and my examination before reporting to work. Thank you very much."<i></i> Smiling at the two of this estate Shin would turn to the door where he walked with pride in his weakened stride. He wouldn't appear to need any assistance from here on out as he headed home to share the good news with his family.
