Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The True Demon Arts (Satou's Dojo)

Core Abilities
Demonic Ancestry
20 points (Current pl at time of doing this is 3485)

Demonic Aura - Passive (3 points)
Restriction - C Rank and up
A person in touch with their dark side is completely surrounded by a pervading feel of evil that inspires fear in even the strongest of shinobi. Though the power of fear is nice, the aura of doom does make it hard to win the trust of others.
Effect: Every round, every other person in the battle besides the user must make a Genjutsu Save check. If they fail, all jutsu they use that round do -10% damage and they receive -1 Genjutsu DC (stacks to -2 Genjutsu DC). This stops while under the effects of Evil Sealing.

Third Eye - Modification (3 points)
Restriction - C Rank and up, requires Sixth Sense
By unlocking the mortal restraints on their mind, the demonic shinobi can gain use of the third eye, the super sense beyond all senses. They can hear someone's surface thoughts (what someone else's character thinks, the demonic ninja can hear as if they were talking) simply by being near them if they are of similar or lower power level (within 25 points total power or lower), and a small chance to discern the motives of a superior. This effect replaces Sixth Sense.
Effect - +2 to all Stealth, Genjutsu Save, and Awareness checks.

Akuton - Dependent Special Move (3 points)
By channeling dark energy into a jutsu, the demonic shinobi can make their attacks more powerful and of a darker nature. This can only be used with offensive ninjutsu that directly deal damage. These jutsu are now Akuton, or evil element jutsu, in addition to their other elemental properties, so effects that would normally block or absorb elemental damage are only half as effective.
Effect: The user may convert a Ninjutsu into the 'Dark' element to increases its damage by +20% and allowing it to cut through all Ninjutsu damage reduction. Jutsu used this way cost +25% Cp and cannot have their chakra cost reduced, and this may only be done once per round.

Mind Ripper - Independent Special move (3 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up, stat average of 150
By grabbing a victim’s head and channeling dark energy and evil will into their mind, a demonic shinobi can temporarily traumatize their opponent, lowering their will power, or in some cases, instantly destroying any hint of sanity.
Effect: Grabs an opponent’s head at -3 melee accuracy (-2 accuracy with Called Shot). Subsequently ravages their mind, inflicting a -3 to genjutsu resist for the remainder of the battle (this part is treated as a level 6 genjutsu). For the next 5 rounds, Â starting from the next round after the opponent is hit by Mind Ripper, they have a 20% chance for every action they take to go into temporary convulsions and lose that action. Every time these convulsions take place, the opponent takes 3% Max HP damage. The opponent can only go into convulsions once per round. Using Mind Ripper takes 2AP and can only be used once per battle, per target (if they miss grabbing their intended target’s head, it doesn’t count for this).
Fell Drain - Dependent Special Move (2 points)
Life force from their foes can help sustain them, indeed, it is one thing to be especially afraid of when fighting a demon. Direct contact with a demon can be dangerous indeed if they invoke this technique.
Effect: Half of the damage done by the user's melee taijutsu attack can be used to heal themselves. Can only be used once every two rounds.

Daunting Presence - Boost (1 point)
Restriction- Can be taken up to two times
Demons instill a great deal of fear into their opponents. This fear can make them quite hesitant--and easier to take advantage of. Hesitation is all a demon needs to strike.
Effect: Opponents take a -1 dodge penalty during rounds where they attempt to attack the user.

Demon Blessing - Passive (2 points)
The mind of a demon is much less susceptible to attack than that of a mere mortal, restricting Genjutsu from targeting them too easily. Being so alien to most forms of chakra, a practitioner of the mind arts will find them harder to snare.
Effect: +2 Genjutsu Save.

Devil's Trick - Modification (3 points)
Restriction- Must have Death Viewing
To a demon, death is a plaything, a mere trifle to be inflicted upon mortals. This makes their illusions of death that much more potent, their tricks much more hazardous to be caught in.
Effect: Death Viewing lasts two extra rounds and inflicts an extra -1 accuracy/dodge penalty.

Form of the Demon - Jutsu (1 point, 1 to rank up)
Restriction- A-Rank and up
This technique is the ultimate incarnation of a demonic ninja’s tie to his or her hellish ancestry. Releasing all bonds and restrictions, they unleash their true demonic nature, becoming a terrifying being of power and awe. The after affects are disastrous, however.
Rank 1: While Active, the user gains a +1 to all secondary stats and all jutsu are considered "Dark". This means they deal +5% damage to all damage types that does not apply to damage buff limits, and bypasses half of any damage reduction the victim may have. In addition, all damage dealt upon the user is reduced by 10% and this reduced damage is instead converted into CP for the user.
Rank 2: While Active, the user gains a +2 to all secondary stats and all jutsu are considered "Dark". This means they deal +10% damage to all damage types that does not apply to damage buff limits, and bypasses half of any damage reduction the victim may have. In addition, all damage dealt upon the user is reduced by 20% and this reduced damage is instead converted into CP for the user.

Cost: 3 AP and 2,400 HP to initiate. 1,140 HP/Rnd.

Notes: This counts as a Chakra Armor.

The Elder Sage was by Satou's side within the blink of an eye. "Today you will-" Satou jumped when the old man spoke and leaped to the side a few feet. "Shit old man! Don't just jump over her like that!" The Elderly Swordsman did not look amuse. He continued. "You will continue your training with controlling the currents of Electricity in the "Thunder Dome". Is that understood my pupil?" He ask raising and furrowing his large brows. Stroking his long snowy white beard.

Of course Satou couldn't refuse this sort of training, it was the only way for him to advance himself enough to keep up with the big boys of the village. "Yeah, I'm ready." He scuffed as he stretched his already aching body.

The Elder Pointed to a dome a good distance away, it was roughly double the height of the average person as well as double the width of arm span. The Elder lifted the Dome. Satou casually sauntered on inside, dropping it down once the Demon entered.

Tapping, the sound of tapping. It poked him, prodded him. The sound of it drumming in his ear as he sat alone in the desolate chamber of metal. He was in meditation. As well as training his body. The demon rarely took interest in furthering his power. But in certain times ahead, he saw that the enemies before him would not be a simple task to overcome. He sought the help of the Old Swordsman Rurou Kotsurugi, which whom he resided with in an old sword temple in the village of Kumogakure.

It was his only option, his pride wouldn't allow him to seek help from any other. The old man was a terrifying teacher. He pushed his students beyond human expectations. Even now, as the Demon sits, listening to the intense single sound of tapping. Its eager pulse. He was in a dome of metal, the tapping was the sound of heavy needle charged with a rather large current of voltage surged into the dome and would leap out at any second. He had to be ready, every tap could have a pulse. He was training to anticipate and read currents of electricity traveling from one object to another.

This took many attempts, many failures. But through failing he gained a rather quick pace of manipulation through smaller tests. This, this final form of training was on another level. Ever time the sound echoed he would tense up and ready his body to channel the current from his body to solid ground without physical harm. The repetition was now at every fifteen seconds. Constant tensing of the body and focusing a high current of electricity through your body was not what one would call, an electrifying experience.

The demon was getting rather frustrated with all this effort. He know he had power, he wanted to unleash it. So, he decided to have a little bit of fun with his training. Instead of hitting the ground with the current, he redirected it right back at the dome of metal. And with each shot he throw back, the next shock was heavier and more deadly. Soon enough, after roughly four or five bolts tossed back. The dome was starting to heat up and he felt like he was cooking while streams of lightning coursed through him, out to his fingertips pointing back at the metal which continued the cycle till the dome was literally cooking him alive.

With one final grunting shrug he flexed a might demonic roar as the blast lift the dome clear into the sky, several feet away. Satou, collapsing to his knees as his body is beat red and smoldering. Smoke emanating from his body, he was spent. He could still feel it. The heavy current pouring from him slowly along the ground around him. His skin a heated red, almost cooked. He had a bit of trouble catching his breath. Almost jarring when the dome finally hits ground not far from him and the old man standing atop of it, was not a surprise to the crispy demon.

Kotsurugi smiled and jumped down to Satou's side once more, looking over the smoldering young man. "Hmmm, I'd say we almost got you to a nice golden color! Hahahahaha!" Chuckled the old Killer. Satou couldn't help but smirk and murmur some profanities. The Elder smiled as he paced away, happy with the results. "Your body is now at the point of absorbing very high currents of lightning. You should have no problem generating the needed currents for jutsu. Now, I'll see you back at the temple later. You're making supper tonight." And with that, the old man vanished.

Leaving the demon grumbling as he stood, his whole body was in tingling with pain shooting from nerve to nerve up and down his body. He needed to rest, and his answers would be found in a room he built along with this training area, a small room that housed a bathing area. a pool of mud, it was soothing and heated, he found himself relaxing in the mud, his skin healing and soothed. The pain dulled and in a few minutes turned to half an hour, half an hour turned to a full hour. The Mud had solidified into solid earth, Satou felt rather relaxed, that he slept a bit too long. Once awakened, it was rather simple unearthing himself. Leaving the mess to be cleaned up later. Heading back to the temple. Feeling refreshed and rather calm walking barefoot home.

Physical strength. To push past which is not possible. That border, the line where a man changes into a beast. The power of unimaginable strength. To crush boulders with you're bare hands. Do you believe it to be possible? It is, and of course, the demon had to come to that point. Satou was already strong, with a demon granting him physical and abnormal powers, such feats would not be out of his bounds.

It was easy, build your muscles by working them out. That is how humans would gain strength. This is not the same for a demon, demons push their bodies far beyond the brink. Even when their bodies deform and break. To force the strain through carrying boulders on his back up mountains. Then even more grueling things to torment his muscles. Every fiber of muscle he worked on. Even to the point of individual fingers gaining hardened muscle and rough hard skin.

He gained much in a short time, and for it, he suffered greatly. Many nights he could hardly move, and the pain that wracked through him would bring most humans to groaning tears. But, he couldn't shed a tear. This was merely needed progress. After his ice baths, he would emerge from the water, his muscles chiseled to perfect armor like skin. Raising his arms to stretch and flex. The face of a demon appeared upon his back from muscle shaping. His body was complete, the bulls strength in mans form.
(Bull's Strength)

Wounds, what they show is a map of a person. It shows failure, courage and much more. But for Satou, wounds merely fade away rather quickly. He did not know if it was the demon's decision to give him this gift. Or was it his own doing, the wounds on his body, no matter how sever. Would heal in a matter of minutes to hours. His worst was a stab through the stomach once. Almost full on impalement into a wall by a most treacherous sword. Yet he survived. Better yet, the stab wound heal in a good twenty four hours. Though it left a white marbled patch of skin where the wound used to be. Not many cuts or scrapes would remain on his flesh for long. He could feel it even, the stretching of his skin. The blood coagulating in but a few seconds even.....

He could just watch when his enemies slash, him, not even a look of surprise or resound fear when injured. But rather. In his eyes held joy, seeing the damage merely fade away as he would just shrug it off with a scoffing laugh. He felt good to have this little Healing Factor.
(Healing Factor)

His blood, it flowed so gently down his arm. His eyes looking with curiosity. His blood was rather thick. Disturbingly slow, like Honey. No thicker then Honey. It was a slight bother to understand. But his assumptions led to his quicker regeneration of lost flesh. Possibly it was a conjunction. The blood would coagulate quickly to the wound, if it was a smaller wound, not to much blood would leave the wound. Possibly a droplet from nicks to a slow line of blood when cut by knife. And stab wounds would bleed not profusely, but spurt one or twice then leak rather slowly down his side. He had gone to the Hospital to be examined. It was a rather interesting shock. He had an illness that thickened the blood in his system, and that the Doctor even prescribed blood thinners.

Of course the demon laughed at first, but with a glare. He took the pills. Surprise, they didn't work. His blood still bled slowly when heavily wounded. And more then often smaller wounds wouldn't even yield bloodshed. It shook him, and not in a good way. He was often even seen in public. slicing his hand, yet no blood. It made him reckless, abandoning all senses to the need to see his own blood being shed. to see it flow ever slowly, thick blooded man.
(Thick Blood)

Hands. The weapons born with the human body. Our hands can shape things, as well to destroy anything. It is the hands that fascinated Satou. For many years it was all he had. So why not simply use them to the point of breaking boundaries. To punch a man so hard, to rattle him, to break flesh, shatter bone. To even end a life with just using your hands. It was something about that feeling in the fingertips when the punch connected. through the fabric of his gloves. Wish each punch, he felt the wave shiver down his arms. Yet it brought joy to him. The feeling of his gloves clinging to his fingers when it connects to the tree as he unleashes a flurry of smashing jabs into the trunk. It was his joy. To feel his gloves on his hands, to punch things. To continue punching till his hands went numb and the trunk of the tree was nothing but splinters before him. His gloves never disturbed from his hands. His hands becoming stronger then blades, strong like a hammer. His fists, became one with the gloves.

Bull's Strength ---> Jutsu Expansion
455 word count
He could not remember the last time he had to carry heavy weight around on his back. Or had to punch something rather violently to be victorious. More and more his mind slipped in and out to the world of jutsu. He had stood and watched as many around him mastered the art of Ninjutsu, Genjutsu and Taijutsu.

Satou thought himself strong enough to obtain a level of mastery in Taijutsu. But he only buffed up his muscles to push his physical form to make his Taijutsu hit just a little harder. He only scratched the surface of the art, and never had passion for it. But what was it, compared to the awesome power that his eyes had seen and his mind recalls. So the demon laughed at him, when Satou was growing physically tired and bored of lifting weights. Being physically strong was not the answer he sought to sustaining power and keeping those around him safe.

For awhile, Satou avoided asking aloud a question he knew would slip someday when collecting his past. "Was I ever more powerful than this? Was there a time when my power was more than just my fists." The demon in is mind whispered softly. As if sitting by a warm fire in it's comfy chair, nestled down by the hearth with a book in it's grotesque mandibles. Yes, long ago, you did not even have to touch a creature to destroy it. You still know of this power. You use small bits of it, time to time. But you've never opened up to this power. You've never let it flow out. If you wish to become stronger, I will show you what you used to be. And you tell me, Ketsueki Satou. If this is not more than your fists are capable of.

Satou then felt it. The surge of energy flowing through him. He could feel the rise of Chakra running through his veins, he could have sworn he was going to explode. He had to think quickly, he cast out a jutsu. He wasn't sure which one. But the next second Satou was standing in awe at the devastation as the room he trained in at the time. Was completely blown apart, roof and walls smashed to pieces.

Satou could only stare at the damage, then to his own hands. What did he ask for? He felt nothing but fear as the power would rise once in awhile when practicing even low leveled jutsu. It took him several days and nights of just using simple Jutsu to gauge the level of power he could expel at once. Working up to deadly, massive attacks that sundered the sky and scorched the training ground around him.

Thick Blood---->Hyperactive

How many wounds had he suffered, how many cuts and scraps. Stabs and gouges. He's felt many blades of different shape upon his flesh. He's felt his skin ripped from his bones. He would always bleed quite a bit. Though for all the time in his life, his blood had a thickness to it much like, blackened syrup spilling from his wounds. It had been so long since he had been heavily wounded. The he had forgotten how much blood he'd spill from a serious wound.

It was only apparent to him that his body was changing when two things occurred. Firstly, his blood which had the thickness of syrup now ran from his wounds almost like red wine. This was discovered only after receiving a deep wound across his chest from the Sword Sage Rurou Kotsurugi. Satou had expected it to bleed as if a shallow slash, but it gushed and bleed rather deeply. This caused Satou to halt, and take heed from the old retired Shinobi to keep himself a distance from deadly attacks, his wounds would only heal so much.

But afterwards, Satou felt somewhat exhilarated, as if his body felt a bit more lighter. He could feel the swell of chakra growing in him, as if replacing all that he had spent through the resent bout. His wounds healed faster as he had more chakra to pour into his capabilities to heal. He laughed at the old swordsman as the cut on his chest, even if bleeding was slowly closing as he spoke. "Yes, I'll make sure to keep away from the sharp pointy end, common, lets go a few more rounds." He leaped a surprise attack at the old swordsman.

The Battle continued, but it seemed that Satou wasn't tiring as he continue to peel out ninjutsu after ninjutsu that pushed the old sword sage back to the edges of their ring. And Satou would release the final strike, but eh stopped. Just to feel that quickening of chakra slowly building back up in his body. "This could get interesting." The demon laughed within his mind as the flow slowly filled his body with chakra, he looked calm and as though he hadn't broken a sweat.

Weapon Mastery: Unarmed----> Jutsu Mastery
237 word count
As the time passed that his body was slowly falling way from the path of unarmed combat. He knew the demon was feeding him a strange gift, a power he could not for all his years remember on his own. Why? Maybe it was this next step that Satou was seeing why he had stripped these parts of himself. As his fists became weaker, he found that his techniques of unarmed taijutsu weren't landing hard enough.

They would hit the target dummy but it wasn't causing enough visible stress to the dummies physical body, the movements it made were more sluggish then violent when struck. And even looking on the readings Keiji gave him on the machines stated his punches and kicks were getting weaker. His muscle mass was even shrinking.

Yet for this sacrifice, the demon stripped his physical body, and made his unnatural gift veer toward the destructive power of making Satou a walking typhoon of chakra. All his jutsu's seemed to come more naturally and less straining, casting even the highest level of jutsu's he knew at his disposal barely scratched the ocean of chakra he felt inside of him.

He was shaking, shaking and laughing as the training hazard room Keiji built for Satou, was utterly destroyed by the onslaught of ninjutsu Satou poured into the room. He knew the demon was giving Satou what he asked for. To be his true self.

Mind Overflow
354 word count
Sitting in the room alone deep in the cold basement, Satou was deep within his mind. Traveling through the rooms and plains, the cold barren snowy mountains, walking across the blistering hot sands. He entered through a door and walked into the library of the old one. It's endless spirals of books floating about, pages fluttering from book to book.

The shelves go on into an infinite light up above. Satou could only summarize as the mind that he and the demon shared all memories and points of life Satou came in contact with. Sitting in this room, he was always introduced to a story of his life.

And this time he was shown visions of a past even before those had stepped on. Satou sat in a field of greens, he was a farmer. Just having finished tending to his crops. He had made this all for the village not far from his little farm.

It was while he rested that a small band of brigands happened upon just a patch of farmland and a man in dirty rags with a gardening plow in hand.

They thought nothing of the ragged man as they ran into the crops and began stealing what had grown for many months. Satou of old roared into a fury as he bolted after the group, making seals of genjutsu Satou recognized. He saw the men began to freak out over the fruit and vegetables in their arms. Thinking that they were covered in the worst crawlers, snakes or rabid animals. But they looked far more dismayed, and it left them far more open then most Genjutsu would.

Wielding the old plow on a stick, the old Satou swing with just meager force and the collision caused blood to spray about as the sharp edge of the plow dug deeper than most strikes would. Viewing this vision, Satou remembered the time his Genjutsu would cause his enemies to shrink and whimper in fear of his other jutsu. As the flames or lightning would incinerate or electrify those ensnared in his illusions. Slowly this method was coming back to him.

Supercharge
151 word count
Sitting within the silver metal dome, the deafening silence as he sat, waiting patiently as he absorbed the slow flow of current that was passing through the dome. Rurou Kotsurugi was striking it once and awhile with lightning jutsu. And as the Electricity would pass around the dome, Satou's body was slowly leeching the energy. He could feel his body pulling the electrical current from the metal slowly. He would do this for several hours.
After which he would rise from the dome, charged with the electricity jutsu Kotsurugi had shot, he let loose a single jutsu, as he was right. The force released from this jutsu was increased drastically, it was enough to shatter a test dummy in a single blast of Kinetic Energy, when usually it would take him a solid five minutes to shatter the dummy. The old swordsman laughed slapping his knee. "That was surely supercharged my lad." Satou laughed along with him.

Mind Crush
172 word count
The mind was a fragile thing, and Satou knew just how to exploit just the subtle things a human has to hear, see or smell. Just subtle alterations are things that leaved many wondering what had happened, or even if it happened at all. His illusions were brief or weaker then others, but that almost always stuck to the victim. Their suffering short lived, but none could escape his little terrors he like to play.
He started out by simply casting genjutsu as pranks on people, it got to the point where some people felt illusion on a constant basis, their grasp of reality waxing. Then Satou would hope to another more sturdier victim, till he was sure all his genjutsu in base form could stick to most people.

Or rather he enjoyed making the illusions more severe to shake off and watched as gave a short panic than calming themselves for several minutes that all was right in the world and mischievous demon wasn't running rampant with his new found talent.
