With the sand having come to the end a while ago Hoji had been nothing sort of withered. At least his and Fuku's natural hunting capabilities had kept the two fed, but the lack of a liquid water sanctuary had tired the two out. With his morale at a near all time low he couldn't help but think how useless he was. Having lost his friends and his caretakers being nothing but a memory as far as he knew, his will to carry on his mission was dwindling. Although almost as if it was a binding vow he had made to those who he cared for he knew what he had to do, go to the land of fire. For Shiki, Nanaka, Michi, and Raizo! There is where he would be able to complete what he had sought after.

But who would have guessed the land of fire would have been so... cold? Freezing actually, in all his life he'd never faced such a harsh climate to his own skin. Even the beating rays of Suna couldn't keep him down at the point he was now but, the horrible feeling white mush across his feet and the slicing air caused the boy and Fuku to shiver dreadfully. Whilst his blue trunks began to collect frost, tiredly the two would carry on their trek. A few months ago Hoji wouldn't have hesitated to take a bite down on some passerbys but his morality had seemed to have dramatically shifted since those times, and whilst Fuku would begin to salivate passing by merchants the younger Samezuka would gather information. Kumogakure... the land of fire... that was their destination.
