Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Akkuma walked towards the Project Rebirth in tow behind him was the entire clan, behind them were caravans full of building materials, supplies both medical and food/water. The Miroku Clan had made good use of their vast resources and exotic menagerie of animals. Their beasts of burden varied with such degree it was astonishing. Particularly the for example the Varuliphant a massive beast from the wastes. It carried upon its back a small fortress, used by the clan during their troubles. Then there were the Chimerans they looked like a mix between an Ox and a Horse. Now the Djanda were used by the traders usually but on this occasion they had been used for the building materials and supplies they had needed. Akkuma had sent many of the traders of his clan out seeking the materials he needed for construction. One of the advantages of being a clan of archivists they had vast resources and a large amount of blueprints for various structures. Akkuma intended to build households, homesteads and a small fortress so if need be the nearby residents could seek shelter if required.

The women and children set out handing out good and water to those who needed it. While the men began unpacking the massive bundles of building materials being carted around by the Djanda. They had steel, stone, various types of wood and a few intricate mechanical designs they would include in each building. It was truly a sight to see the sigil of the Toraono Clan within the Miroku Sigil. Their banners could be seen by all for every clan member wore the sigil on their clothing. Akkuma wore the Ancient Stillsuit Armour he had acquired from the vast wastes of the desert. The ancient Toraono symbol that had been etched onto it, had the Miroku seal worked around it onto the armour. The demon set to work assisting the men with removing the rubble from the first area they would work on. He carried bits of rubble that could be compared to the size of a small house. Those around him stood in awe before getting hard into work not wanting to let their lord down.

The air was full with the sound of the beasts, tools at work and the talk of those around. The atmosphere had become a bit brighter and the Sage smiled. They had a lot invested in the Sunans and now all of them would know it. Blueprints were laid out all around the main engineers and architects. Who gave instruction to those working, they worked with great efficiency and co-ordination. Before long the necessary pulley systems had been set up, along with scaffolding being prepared for when it was needed. One of the workers approached Akkuma bowing for informing him they were having trouble moving the platforms they had made for the structures. The slabs were massive and they weren't sure how to appropriately place them. With a few quick hand seals a large smokescreen appeared where Akkuma had been. When the smoke cleared Bikou stood there, forty feet high and clad in armour a sight to behold.

"Bikou I need your aid with construction, I'm afraid your the only one who is capable of assisting the builders." He said in a warm apologetic tone, the massive polar bear gave the Sage a disgruntled look before moving to help the builders. Sitting down on a nearby chair one of the women brought him a bottle of Toraono wine. Akkuma gulped down half the bottle before scanning the scene before him. They would accomplish so much, he'd ensure the Toraono came off better then they were from this Cabbal attack. That crimson coloured orb and its diamond-like counter part looked for Sunans or their superiors he wondered who else was assisting in the rebuild.

Uziuke passed under the entrance of the tent. Ayano, a white fox and companion of Uziuke, lazily lay near the entrance. The people here of the Miroku Clan seemed happy. It seemed everyone that wasn't involved in working were already taken care of. A few of the younger kids were still looking up to Bikou in awe. The gigantic beast still amazed Uziuke as well. Coming from Mist, the clan would have never seen such wonders. As Uziuke exited the tent he recieved a nod from a panda bear that sat nawing on a giant peice of leaf.

The boy moved to the construction site of a new home being built. He carefully looked over the blueprints that lay before him. 'The place is going to look amazing when everything comes together.' Uzi looked to Bikou, who was now moving around the heavier items. The white haired boy decided to do the same.

Not too long afterwards, Uzi's eyes began to spin at a rapid rate. Small purple auras of chakra surrounded his pupils as a small rift between the world was opened. The boy then watched as the workers tossed two large steel pipes through the small portal that the young Uchiha created. His Miroku Clan robe flew back violently, blowing it off as he made his way in.

At a nearby structure Bikou lay much larger, heavier items down. The earth shook a bit before settling down. As the dust cleared a rift opened within the construction site. The pipes came out of the otherside of the rift and lay in their proper place. Uziuke came out and carefully inspected the place. The curse seals on the boy's chest and back lay unactive. The chakra mark on his stomach was exposed. One would be able to tell that he was from Mist if they knew about the chakra mark. As quick as the portal opened it had closed like a stale case. As Bikou began to lay down more items the boy phased away from the site. He reappeared near a group of workers watching the giant bear work.

"Hey, did you hear?" Kagari's ears perked up at the question, he turned to see a conversation between a cashier and a customer at the market Kagari and his mother frequents. This timeframe he was looking to grab a quick bite to eat, lunchtime was about to start. "No what?" The conversation continued between the two strangers; although technically three now that the conversation had caught Kagari's attention. "There's a bunch of that construction stuff goin on on the surface area, heard they're buildin like another city up there."

"Up where?" The customer asked.

"Up above Suna! Right over our heads!" The cashier exclaimed. "Yeah, the government's promisin all sorts of things, don't know what it is for sure though; something called Project....Project Rebirth." This piqued Kagari's intrest, he was originally from what Sunas called the "surface world". It seemed like good news that Suna was starting to expand into the outer territory, or at least stop digging further into the ground. But this project; project rebirth seemed to be an entirely new creation, literally.

"Really? When's it going to be done?" The customer asked. "I'm not sure myself, it's all just construction right now and plans. Although they'll probably save it for the rich bastards like they did with the Desert Crown; typical." The cashier lamented, it was no secret that if you said "I hate everyone in The Desert Crown.", people would respond back, "Yeah, well so does everyone else down here."

"Also I heard another rumor..." The cashier this time was speaking in a hushed tone, but if you were paying attention enough (and also a ninja in training); you could make out his words easily. "I heard it's being competely built and funded by the Miroku Clan, you know those demons..." Now that was a name Kagari was all too familiar with. 'What are you getting into now Sensei...?' Kagari sighed inwardly, as he stepped up to the cashier with a onigiri and a water.

-------------------------------------------------------

After making his way up the twsting turns of the city, and asking people for directions; Kagari was tryiing to find his way up to Project: Rebirth. At this point Kagari's wide eyed curiosity got the better of him and decided to skip the last hours of school all together. 'Eh, I'll use this as extra credit; sensei's will hopefully buy it.' Kagari said outloud, trying to make up a valid excuse. Eventually he started coming across various warning signs; obviously stating that it was a construction area. "For some sort of secret project, they're sure aren't a lot of people around here..." Kagari looked around and actually found no one. He thought to himself that maybe not many people knew about this at all, or the reputation of the Miroku clan scares off any sightseer. Hopping the barrier that was in place to stop people from coming in, he walked along the pathway he hopefully thought was torwards his destination. "Hopefuly I don't get lost..." Kagari mused as the pathway got darker...and darker. Until a bight light seepeing through a small door window at the end of the pathway, Kagari opened up and saw a beautiful sight.

Wide open gaping desert strecthing as the eye could see, blue clear sky and the sun! The sun finally once again beaming down on Kagari's skin; it had been a long time since he had seen natrual light. He then noticed the busy scene in front of him. Many people, the most he had ever seen in one place working, and building. They looked like worker ants moving from place to place; handing materials to one another, carrying things, giving each other commands. Although what caught his attention now was not the people, but the large creatures that he had never seen in his life. They looked like behemoths, carrying the heavier objects that the people couldn't carry. He could cearly see the sigils of the Clans; the Toranos and of course Miroku. "It seems like my 'demon master overlord' has gotten busy these past few months." Kagari said outloud, as he made his way torward the construction.

Akkuma looked around taking in all the work that was going on around them, he was happy to see Uziuke here lending a hand. Taking another swig of his gourd full of alcohol he paused feeling the familiar presence of one of his pupils. 'I wonder what has drawn little Kagari here?' he thought to himself with a wave of his hand the demon sage opened up a portal. Stepping through he re-appeared where he had felt the students chakra, spotting the boy he walked over to him. Pausing as he heard him speak a devilish grin appeared upon his face he could have a break terrorising the child. "Speak of the devil and he shall appear." he would say with a chilling chuckle. Looming over his apprentice with that shark-like smile upon his face. "What brings you here my apprentice?" he asked gesturing for Kagari to walk with him. The Dark Sage walked towards the big tent wondering if his brother would come have a drink with them. "I hope you know you've volunteered yourself to the work effort by coming here." he chuckled as he finished speaking pouring the boy some juice before taking out a cigarette. With a snap of his fingers it ignited and he inhaled a satisfying breath of nicotine.

"How has your seal been? I hope you've taken to it well." he said looking over the blueprints before him while he listened to Kagari. Going over the evacuation tunnels, hideaways and defensive fortifications. Along with a few traps of his own design, if need be the citizens lucky enough to end up here would be safe. He intended on ensuring they had new homes were comfortable and most of all safe. Not that the clans bolstered public opinion didn't help too. Akkuma needed to make sure his clan was accepted by the people, besides his people needed something to do. The cursed could not sit still they need to be occupied lest they get themselves in trouble.

After all he needed the public to trust him, particularly after he killed a bunch of their Merchant Lords. Maybe he could get his little apprentice to help with that task, he'd have to gauge how Kagari was handling the seal. Along with testing his loyalty only those he trusted could come on this mission.

Edited to fix

A strange chakra began to peep Uzi’s interest as he could feel it moving in on the site’s construction spot. “Yeah, but the village being frozen over just isn’t right.” Uziuke looked to Akkuma. It seemed he noticed the presence as well. It didn’t seem like trouble at all. Akkuma didn’t seem worried a bit, but instead, a bit happy and surprised. As he moved through a portal the boy continued his chitter-chatter with a few of the younger workers.

The place sounded as though it were going to be amazing after everything was built. The boy nodded to the crew as they tossed their cigarettes and moved to get back to work. He departed, going to one of the larger tents to meet up with Akkuma and another shinobi that he hadn’t met before. From the looks of him he was already affiliated with Akkuma. Hearing his older brother mention something about a curse seal while talking to Kagari caught Uziuke’s interest.

“Hello there. I hope we didn’t startle you with all of the work going on here.” The teen stated with a smile and an outstretched hand. The white haired boy received a drink of his own. It was nothing strong, just a nice cold cup of water. Though his curse seals were exposed, they were not activated. Meeting another apprentice of Akkuma was always a great thing. The boy wondered if Kagari was could lend a hand with the work.

"Speak of the devil and he shall appear." he would say with a chilling chuckle.

Kagari jumped at the sound of his Master's words. it's been a while since had seen Akkuma, and he tends to...."surprise" you in different ways. Kagari gathered himself and turned to face his master, breathing a sigh of relief. "Well, I thought all devils were into bringing people's souls into hell and tormenting them...Not building things..." Kagari spoke as he looked around at the suprising amount of work being done. As they were speaking, people were walking past both Akkuma and him; working hard. They were carrying building materials from place to place like worker ants, and Akkuma seems to be the Ant Queen, the weird Demon Ant Queen.

Looming over his apprentice with that shark-like smile upon his face. "What brings you here my apprentice?" he asked gesturing for Kagari to walk with him. The Dark Sage walked towards the big tent wondering if his brother would come have a drink with them.

Kagari followed suit, and walked by his master. "I overheard a couple of rumours today at the food market down in Palais. They say Suna's building something up here, although no one said 'what' exactly. Although the name Miroku seems to be mentioned." Kagari answered as they drew near the tent. Kagari was a thankful as he could feel it was much more cooler in the tent than outside; no everyone can stand being outside in the middle of a summer day in Sunagakure.

"I hope you know you've volunteered yourself to the work effort by coming here." he chuckled as he finished speaking pouring the boy some juice before taking out a cigarette. With a snap of his fingers it ignited and he inhaled a satisfying breath of nicotine.

"What?! I....." Kagari, surprised as he was suddenly volunteered unwillingly into working on his master's plan. 'I better not complain, or else he'll probably throw me off of a cliff or something...' Kagari shuddered as he thought of the repercussions if he argued against his sudden appointment. He did take the juice willingly however, he was damn thirsty after trying to find this stupid place.

"How has your seal been? I hope you've taken to it well." he said looking over the blueprints before him while he listened to Kagari

Kagari took a sip of the drink before answering, it was orange juice with a hint of ginger in there; really tasty to drink in the summer heat. "The seal...?" Kagari took a look at his right hand, which he covered with a fingerless glove to hide his tattoo from others. It looked like a simple tattoo, but the aquirement of this mark was much more painful than a ink needle. "It doesn't hurt anymore, althought it randomly lights up from time to time..." Kagari said as he took off the fingerless glove and showed it to Akkuma. "I haven't told anyone else about this...not even my mom." Kagari looked a bit down after saying those last words. He felt a pang of guilt because he knew his mom wouldn't understand how he got it or why he got it; let alone who he got it from. He wasn't ashamed of the mark, just it's difficult to explain to the outsiders.

“Hello there. I hope we didn’t startle you with all of the work going on here.” The teen stated with a smile and an outstretched hand.

Kagari looked torwards the new voice, a face he hadn't recongnized. He had glowing white hair which was a rarity in Suna, after all it seems that Sunagakure is populated by mostly redheads. He seemed older then he was, maybe around the same age. He looked at least a year or two older, maybe 14 or 15. Although Kagari was curious about the teen, was he another one of Akkuma's apprentices? Or was he related somehow? He doesn't exactly look like well...a demon. Although now was not the time to be overanalyzing things Kagari thought to himself, you have a introduction to make.

"No no... like i said to Sensei here I overheard a couple of rumours circulating about construction on the surface, and I decided to check it out." Kagari answered as he got up with his drink in hand and promptly gave the teen a handshake. "I'm Kagari, it's nice to meet you."
