Reicheru took in a sharp breath as Hiroshi's blade clipped her side, tearing skin and drawing blood. She flipped away and crouched, holding the wound with one hand and gripping a kunai with the other. "This is silly," her cousin said with a raise of his eyebrows, "just get your katana. It'd be a lot easier to block attacks that way." Reicheru smirked before straightening up. "It'd also be the easy way out. I haven't connected with a blade yet like you have, and maybe I never will. Unlike you, I'm only half Nanjirou. If I learn to fight without one, perhaps I'll find a technique I'm even stronger in!" Hiroshi cocked his head as if to question her reasoning; she'd always been good with a blade. Made no sense to put oneself at a disadvantage, even if you don't have as great of an advantage as you'd like. After a moment her cousin shook his head and lifted his blade to start again. "If that's how you want it." He charged her, the hilt of his katana pulled in close to get as much power behind the jab as possible. As he neared, Reicheru waited until he was just close enough to be able to hook his blade with her kunai and redirect his movement, using his momentum against him to cause him to stumble forward. With a smirk he pivoted; she'd succeeded in blocking that attack, but in doing so left her back exposed. Charging quickly, he thrust his sword out to try to get a hit on her before she jumped away. As he struck, he looked with horror as it appeared he'd run her through. 'She didn’t even move…' Hiroshi thought. Suddenly, a 'puff' revealed a kawarimi target. Relief flooded his face while he removed the substitute from his blade, taking the moment to catch his breath from all the running around he'd done. "Gotta say, I didn't even see it coming…" eyes scanning the field, he scanned the bushes and treetops before continuing, "…but I see you!" Sheathing his katana, Hiroshi charged the large oak tree Rei had moved to the top of.
Between running one direction and then another and then using his chakra to scale the tree, Hiroshi was getting tired. Still, as he neared the top he drew his sword back out, and swung at his cousin the moment he reached her. Thinking his katana was still sheathed, Rei was caught off guard and instinctively leapt from the old oak. Falling several stories, she saw only one way out of this that didn't getting injured to the point of having to surrender the match. Turning to face the ground, she stretched her arms straight out in front of her and began to focus chakra into her palms. 'Pressure Burst only activates on impact… I'll have to time this perfectly if I want to avoid breaking both of my arms…' Those few seconds seemed to pass in slow motion. Drawing in a slow breath, Reicheru focused her eyes on the ground before her and continued to build the chakra in her palms. She felt the tingling sensation of the heads of blades of grass tickling her palms just before a burst of wind engulfed her, pushing her up and allowing to land softly on her feet. She turned to face her cousin, still in the oak, and smirked. "You coming down from there or not? We're not done here."
