Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Lady Toraono-Aikayume Azusa
[lb][/lb]
Age: Twenty-Threeish
[lb][/lb]
Hair: Lustrous golden blonde, ending at her waist. Her ears and seven tails share this golden color. Turn white when wielding her sacred power.
[lb][/lb]
Eyes: Vivid Green.
[lb][/lb]
Rank: Medic in Training
[lb][/lb]
[lb2][/lb2]
Physical Description:
[lb][/lb]
Barely registering at 5 feet, Azusa is short in stature but large in ego. Her Kitsune heritage shows through a myriad of physical features ranging from sharp nails on her hands and feet, to the more noticeable golden fox ears and tail. Full of contradictions, her beast-like qualities go against the dignified manner she tries to present herself as, such as her taste for elegant clothing and adornments and her flowery, regal speech...But when pushed into battle, she drops any attempt at maintaining a 'proper' appearance in favor of absolute savagery.

Mental Description:
[lb][/lb]
Behind her refined aura of elegance one would expect from the lady of a proud and noble clan lies her nature as a scheming vixen, absurdly vain and self-indulgent. Her pride and arrogance are only rivaled by her love of praise and attention, or the spite she feels when feels towards even minor slights against her ego.
[lb2][/lb2]
Azusa harbors a deep-seated hatred for all things dark, cursed, and demonic, believing that any of their influence will only lead to pain and tragedy. Her firsthand experience with these powers have left her with a vendetta, and she believes it is her sacred duty to, as she puts it; "Cleanse the corruption of the world".
[lb2][/lb2]
A big fan of mischief, she enjoys toying with others in both subtle and direct methods to see what she can get away with...This can range between playful teasing to outright malice, but it to her it is all simply a game for amusement.

Lore and NPC's
[tbody]

Azusa:
Exiled Priestess of the Aikayume Kitsune clan, now Lady of the Toraono.

Thrives off being told she's clever/wise/smart.

Afraid of, I mean, Hates Dogs and Wolves.

Has immense pride in her seven tails. Aiming to reach nine.

The Aikayume Clan:
The Aikayume are an old clan descended from Spirits in the past, particularly Kitsune, a heritage that strongly shapes their pride and beliefs. Highly spiritual, the clan serves as keepers and caretakers to their shrine and grounds in the Diamond District.

The Aikayume is a predominately female clan, with the birth of a male being a rare event. The Priestess serves as the clan's head, and has always been the firstborn female of the main branch, passed from mother to daughter as they come of age. Later born Aikayume often become caretakers of the shrine and guardians of the priestess.

Their fox ears and tail make an Aikayume easy to spot, with their tail multiplying as they grow in strength.

The Sacred Blood:
While all Aikayume trace their heritage to Fox Spirits, it is the Priestess of the Aikayume who holds the 'Bright Blood'; the strongest, purest blood of the spirits they descended from. To spill it wastefully or allow it to be spilled is a sin, and to receive it is likened to a euphoric blessing.

This sacred source of power is a blessing and a curse; for while it unlocks the full potential of its host's Kitsune heritage, it burdens the Priestess with holding the fate of her clan; the Aikayume are dependent on regular dosages of this blood, forever tying her to them until it is passed to the next generation.

The transference of this blood involves a ritual that draws out Aikayume Blood into a new host, with the presumable result for the original host.

The Aikayume Shrine, Faith and Demons:
Home of Azusa, the Aikayume Shrine resides in the Diamond District on the Aikayume clan grounds. The main shrine is open to the public (rare for Diamond District), and dedicated to Spirits, Kami, and Deities of all sorts, in the belief that all powers from the most well known to the most obscure, deserve respect.

Although the Aikayume are descended from fox spirits in particular, they hold much reverence towards all spirits of nature in general, and are prone to offering brief prayers and words of thanks as a gesture of respect in hopes of continued fortune.

While accepting of others, the Aikayume are extremely intolerant towards demons and those with darker ancestry, finding their very presence to be offending and impossible to relax around. Believing all demons are built on malice and deceit, they are repulsed by them at best, and outright hostile at worst.

Name: Aikayume Hinoka
Ability: Benovelent

Description:
Hinoka's gold eyes easily convey her easily excitable and gullible personality, and her long pink hair is often tied up and adorned with ribbons and trinkets of her clan.
Most often wearing shrine maiden attire or other equally elegant robes.
Unless concealed through some technique, she, like most of the Aikayume, has large Kitsune ears and a tail, and regularly gets into arguments with Azusa over who's are softer.

Background:
Only slightly older than Azusa, Hinoka and Azusa are cousins that have grown up together for as long as either can recall.

A tradition within Aikayume clan, those holding the blood of the main family are served by the branch family in general; but choose their own personal retainer to serve them specifically. Hinoka is that to Azusa, but more than just her handmaiden; she has also been her closest friend who Azusa feels more comfortable with than even her direct family.

Though technically her servant, Hinoka was one of the few able to keep Azusa's ego in check within the clan. But since Azusa's madness, she's served the Byakko household.

Name: Aikayume Akiko
Ability: Exalted

Description:
Having vivid red eyes and silky black hair that contrasts her pale skin, Akiko gives off the appearance of a porcelain doll. A theme that is only enhanced by her tranquil and calm demeanor (all though in truth, more of a result of her constant drowsiness despite averaging 14 hours of sleep per day).

Like Azusa, she can mix heavy sarcasm and witty snark into otherwise polite-sounding statements. Unlike Azusa, Akiko has no shinobi aspirations and spends her free time lazing about the Aikayume shrine.

Background:
Only slightly younger than Azusa, Akiko is her younger half-sister.

In the matriarchal Aikayume clan, being Azusa's younger sister left Akiko constantly in her shadow...Until Azusa's exile had thrust her into the position of 'Priestess'. Akiko loves her clan, but has no interest in titles; thus she leaves most of the running of the clan to her brother, Yatsu, and is more or less serves as willing figurehead.

Name: Aikayume Yatsu
Ability: Nanjirou

Description:
Yatsu has long silver hair and equally silver kitsune ears, and stands tall with a physique honed worthy of his self-proclaimed but regularly proven status of being the strongest swordsman in the Aikayume,

The status of being the most stubborn and proud of the Aikayume is too close to call between Yatsu and Azusa.

Background:
Several years older than Azusa, Yatsu is her older half-brother.

Loyal to his clan above all else, Yatsu has served as the guard to the Aikayume Shrine to threats both within and without, resulting in Azusa's eventual exile when she was cursed. The clan is matriarchal and his sister Akiko is officially the clan head, her general disinterest in her duties leads the majority of clan affairs falling upon himself; an arrangement working in both their interests.

Growing up, he selflessly takes the time to 'train' Azusa in the ways of the sword...but seemed far more interested in cracking wooden training blades against her skull that actually helping her improve.

Custom RP Stuff
Liberator of Darkness
wMvxthu.png

Sacred blade of the Byakko clan that changes its form to suit its wielder; in Azusa's possession it takes the form a lengthy odachi (longer than she is tall!).

The blade emits an aura of divine darkness when unsheathed and lusts to purge demons and those touched by darkness, but will return to the Byakko if ever used slay an innocent.

The blade has the ability to induce visual hallucinations on those nearby (Flavored of using Shinobi 101 to cast Genjutsu)

Fox Magic - Custom RP Jutsu
bnMfg8m.png

Effect:
A technique that allows Azusa to create illusory effects through a seal of her own creation, which may only be created in a topic she is in. Should they be effected, then those able to perceive the area effected by this seal through sight, sound, or smell can be effected by this illusion without Azusa having to cast Genjutsu upon them directly.

This is performed by pressing her thumb to an object or surface, creating a small seal serving as the 'focal point' for the illusion, which glows faintly blue for the duration. An illusion cannot extend more than 5 feet from a seal in any direction, but can effect people from beyond that range in a way that the created illusion would be expected to (i.e. Azusa could create the image of illusory fire that couldn't expand more than 5 feet from a seal, but someone beyond those 5 feet could still see the flames as if they were normal). The illusion can move or change in a way that appears natural for what it is, so long as it remains within a 5 foot radius of a seal.

The illusion and seal are dispelled if;
 • The Illusion or seal is physically touched.
 • Someone interacts with an illusion in a way that should cause them pain, dispelling the illusion in place of pain (like waking up before falling into the ground in a dream)
 • A seal remains outside of Azusa's vision for over a half-hour.
 • Azusa releases it, or creates one beyond her ability to maintain.
Azusa may only maintain a certain amount of seals simultaneously before older ones begin to disperse. Azusa can maintain 2 at C-rank, 3 at B, 4 at A, and up to 5 at S-rank.

Reason why it cannot be used in battle:
Though diverse, this technique ultimately creates only weak illusions that are easily broken and resisted, and relies entirely on catching people when they are unaware that an illusion is even being used. Simply being actively on guard and knowing that Azusa may be targeting them is enough to see through through the illusions made through this.

Bright Blood Blessing - Custom RP Jutsu
cJivu17.png

Effect: A secret technique of the Aikayume that allows the clan's Priestess to turn her sacred blood into medical elixir, capable of providing relief for many injuries and ailments, including disease and wounds that normally would be permanent, such as scar tissue or a lost limb.

The recovery process is not instant and takes time to work; but slow-and-steady wins the race, and once infused with her blood it is generally safe to say that the target's condition will not worsen any further, and full recovery can be expected unless new complications arise after the infusion.

The amount of blood this requires of Azusa depends on both the severity of the target's condition, as well as how long the target has been suffering; newer ailments are easier to cure than older ones a targets been living with. For more serious cases, such as a lost limb, multiple infusions over time may be needed to provide the necessary blood.

Use of this jutsu is extremely taxing on Azusa, scaling with how much blood she loses. Only time and rest can help Azusa recover from the effects, accelerated healing and medical techniques have no effect on the injuries she suffers through reckless use of this skill.

*Side effects may include, but are not limited to; eased tension, warmth, feelings of elation, the desire to hug her, numbing of previous pain, slight addiction.

Reason why it cannot be used in battle:
This technique requires a process in which Azusa draws out and prepares her blood into medicine, which if interrupted, wastes her blood without any gain. Not only is she preoccupied during its use, but afterwards she is left weakened and vulnerable. Even if she was able to pull it off in a hostile environment, this technique provides no immediate recovery to the target; it requires them to be safe and unharmed for their recovery process to complete.

Celestial Mirror: Empress of Shadow - Custom RP Jutsu
FflFqOE.png

According to Aikayume myth, the Celestial Mirror is a sacred treasure said to act as a border between this realm and the next, granting its wielder the power over life and death. While Aikayume are notoriously unreliable sources of information regarding themselves, the Celestial Mirror does possess unique power.

Effect: (Requires Grandeur Phantom) By reflecting the image of her target with her sacred mirror, Azusa may create a 'copy' of the target's Shadow, called a Shade. Shades are stored within the illusory world of Azusa's mirror, but she may manifest them into the real world (and back again) if she wishes, granting them a temporary physical form as an NPC.

Shades work as follows;
 • To create a Shade, the target must be within 15 feet of the mirror and have their image reflected in a way in which their face is both visible and identifiable for a period of 5 seconds. The target must be the focus of the reflection, as if a portrait.
 • Upon successfully creating a Shade, the target may decide OOCly what the Shade's personality and traits will be, as well as how much, if any, of the host's memories the Shade may have.
 • Shade NPC's must remain in a topic with Azusa and are 'dependent' on her presence.
 • They are completely independent entities of the original host, and based entirely on the time the target's image was reflected. Reusing this technique on a target who's Shade Azusa already has stored in her mirror overwrites the old version with the new. Unlike Shadows, the destruction of a Shade has no effect on the host.
 • If Azusa does not return a shade to her mirror when it disperses for some reason, then that shade is 'lost', requiring Azusa to once again reflect the target's image onto her mirror if she desires a Shade of them once again.
 • Shades are incapable of modded combat, following NPC rules. If 'Killed' the shade is not returned to Azusa's mirror, but instead destroyed.
Reason why it cannot be used in battle:
Do to the hectic nature of battle, attempting to copy the Shadow would be unfeasible. Likewise, conjuring a Shade from within the mirror involves a lengthy chant, and a Shade is not necessarily Azusa's ally, so the potential gain is unworth the risk. Finally, shades possess less capability than the target's actual Shadow, which she is already able to summon into combat far more easily (see Denied Mind: Shadow).

Celestial Mirror: Boundary of Life - Custom RP Jutsu
UixD2fK.pngg

According to Aikayume myth, the Celestial Mirror is a sacred treasure said to act as a border between this realm and the next, granting its wielder the power over life and death. While Aikayume are notoriously unreliable sources of information regarding themselves, the Celestial Mirror does possess unique power.

Effect: (Requires Grandeur Phantom and the capability of perceiving Ghost NPC's) A technique that allows Azusa to "manifest" the incorporeal, most notably Ghost NPC's, into the physical world. Manifested entities gain a temporary physical form, and may interact/be perceived by those normally incapable of viewing Ghost NPC's. The entity must be willing to be manifested, and may 'fade' to its incorporeal form again at any time.

While manifested;
 • The entity must remain within eyesight of Azusa. If it remains out of Azusa's eyesight for a period longer than 3 seconds, the effects of this jutsu end and the entity returns to its incorporeal form.
 • Azusa must keep her Persona manifested during this time.
 • Attacking the entity will cause it to fade back into its incorporeal form.
Reason why it cannot be used in battle:
This Jutsu involves a lengthy chat by Azusa, during which she is vulnerable to harm. Manifested entities are incapable of fighting, and destroyed by even minor uses of force, rendering this technique, essentially, useless while hostile targets are present.
