Walking around Grand Palais at 2 AM is asking for a chance to be mugged, but if you're quick enough and know the routes to avoid most attention; you're bound to make it your destination safely. After living in the hellhole for a few years now, the 15 year old genin was able to figure out how to navigate the area with ease. It also helped that he at least looked a bit more imposing, as he still practiced his fparkour on the construction site. If he had to he could outrun most of the drunken fellows, but some of the gangs he avoided; they usually recurited academy students who either failed or got kicked out to bolster their ranks.
As he walked into his apartment complex, it was dead silent; apart from snoring and the occasional cough. Although that was suddenly changed when he heard glass breaking, followed by what sounded like a scuffle coming from one of the upper floors. He quickly hid himself on one of the levels, keeping an eye on the stairway. Loud footsteps echoed the hallway, accompanied by a couple of dog barks and a crying baby. Two men were seen rushing down the stairway, one man with a cut on his arm as blood trailed down the steps. They weren't that disguised at all, just a bandana covering their mouths. Although the colors they wore affiliated them with a gang, a dark maroon; The Hop Sing Boys. They had just broke into an home, but seemed unsucessful as one of them walked away with that nasty cut.
Kagari waited a few more moments to make sure they were far enough to not hear the reverberation of the stairway, he stepped out and proceeded to walk up the stairway. As he took each step he kept wondering who's apartment they broke into. Was it his neighbor's one, Takeo? Or one of the upperfloors where one of the other gangs resided? As he climbed each step, he got a little quicker. He was starting to put together the pieces of the puzzle as he heard crying not coming from a baby, but from a woman. He started get more concerend and anxious, now running up the stairs. He froze when he saw that his apartment was the one that was broken into, before sprinting into his apartment to check on his mother.
"Mom?!" Kagari cried out at the foot of the door, which was now wide open; practically detatched. He saw his mother, huddled in a corner sobbing as she had a tight grip on aknife which was stained with blood. Kagari walked slowly, he knew if he scared or alerted his mom in her current state; she might accidently lash out. He gently called out to her, "Mom...It's me." She slowly turned her head, before dropping the knife and rushing over to hug her son for comfort. She was sobbing into his shoulder, not speaking a single word. Kagari did his best to comfort her, "It's okay mom...They're gone." She nodded slowly as he eyed the apartment, tyring to get a gauge on the damage done. As she started to calm down more, he would try to get some information out of his mother. "What happened?" Kagari asked gently. "They...they bursted in and...They wanted to find out where I had...the package?" His mother was doing her best to recall the events, but most of her words were interuppted by sniffles and ragged breathing. "I told them I didn't know where it was and then one of them hit me." Kagari nodded for her to continue, as she slowly rubbed the sore spot on her cheek. "Then they started arguing, about this being the wrong apartment...I-I got out the knife that you hid underneath the chair and." She took a deep breath, and then continued with her story. "One of them reached for me and I cut him on his arm." Kagari looked torwards the knife again, his mother was at least somewhat able to defend herself. "the man screamed at me, and then the other one hit me again a few more times." She started crying again, as Kagari reached out to comfort her again. "they left shortly after they searched the apartment...they-they didn't take anything though...Thank God."
An hour later he escorted his mother to a close neighbor's apartment, away from the carnage. Kagari inspected the apartment, searching for any more clues. Besides the door barely being on his hinges, all he could see was the signs of a slight scuffle and some of the blood from the man he saw earlier that had been cut. Other than that, the two criminals had roughed up the apartment, searched high and low for the "package". It was obvious that they had broken into the wrong apartment, and unfortantnely it was Kagari's. He could start to feel the blood rush to his head, tightening his fists as he again looked at the state of his apartment. It was not the state that they left it, but what he did to his mother and the bruises they left her. Kagari decided to roll into action, he was tired of standing there doing nothing while the two men were out there got scott free.

He followed the blood trail from his apartment down to the ground floor, thankfully his mom left a deep gash and that the two of them were in a hurry. They didn't cover up his wound well enough so it left a decent trail. It was dark however, so Kagari couldn't follow the blood trail completely, but he knew where the men's gang hung out. As he got closer to the Hop Sing Boy's territory, he decided to start using his parkour skills to his advantage. He climbed where he could get a better view of the area, observing for any sign of the two men.
As he scanned the area, he noticed one man holding his right arm very closely as he walked gingerly. He was accompanied by one other man as they headed somewhere. Kagari followed the two from above, trying to not alert his presence as he listened in on their conversation.
"Shit...it still stings man."
"Well that's what you get for not paying attention dumbass."
"You think I didn't expect her to pull a knife on me?! You shoulda killed her!"
"Nah, that'd be a waste. Who knows, I may visit her later..."
At that point, Kagari was furious. He waited for his moment to strike as they headed down a secluded alleway. Before dropping down behind them, Kagari pulled up his hood and tied a bright yellow bandana around his mouth. He walked towards the uninjure one and tapped him on the shoulder. "What da ya-" He was cut short as he was immidietely clocked by Kagari's fist, a swift knee to the abdomen dropping him to his knees. Kagari then aimed his elbow for the back of his neck; finally dropping him to the ground. Kagari was completely silent, his face unchanged as he turned to the injured one.
"Y-You're gonna regret that!" As he tried to run, Kagari sweeped his legs as he fell face first to the ground. He walked over to the man and picked him up by the collar and threw him into some nearyby trash. "So you think you can break into a random apartment and walk away do you?" Kagari's voice was now not as gentle as it was earlier, it was filled with rage, and most of all a thirst for revenge. "I-I don't know what you're talking about!"
"Oh yeah, maybe this will get you talking..." Kagari reached for a nearby bottle full of half finished whiskey amongst the trash and ripped open the man's sleeve that covered his wound. He promptly poured the whiskey all over the open wound, covering the man's mouth with his hand as his muffelled screams filled the alleway. "Ok ok! I-I'm sorry man! We got the wrong apartment. Just, please stop hurting me man!" The man was practically crying, as his right arm was twitching in pain.
"You hope I don't see you again." the man nodded. Kagari then took the empty bottle of whiskey and smashed it over his head, knocking the injured man out completely. Kagari turned his attention to the other man, he was still knocked out by Kagari's swift combo. He walked over to the man and left the bright yellow bandana on his back, a calling card of sorts. It was the color of the Kings, a rival gang of the Hop Sing Boys. If word got out that one of the members of the Kings ambushed one of the HSB's...A gang war could break out. Kagari left the alleway promptly before drawing back his hood as he headed back to his home, unfazed by what he had just done.
