Trial by Fire [Examination]

The emerald eyed boy noticed the Kage and his two assistance talking to one another. He wondered what they were going on about as they began exchanging something in their hands. ’Looks like this will be interesting.’ The boy kept his hands behind his back as if awaiting instruction. He looked over to the backpacks, wondering what they contained. ’Looks like there is enough for everyone.’ As he continued to make assessments of the exam, his attention went back to the Hokage as he began to speak once more.

As the examiners were addressed, the boy kept his mind on what was said. ’Those with bells will pass, those without will fail. Simple. If they don’t have any bells at the end, it’s try again next time.’ The boy loved the life of a shinobi. It meant that not everyone may be promoted, but it did give everyone their chance at passing. ’So this exam could take three days.’ It was something that he didn’t expect, but with Nao there, and notified of the ongoings, he wasn’t as worried as returning home anytime soon. Tracking and hunting was also a plus for the boy as it would be a test to his skill as an AiT.

As the teams were called out, Toshi was called as a leader. He gave a nod, listening for his two teammates. He looked around, seeing who reacted to their names being called out. The other two leaders were familiar as well. He gave a smirk to hear flamethrower was here as well.

As everyone began to move and conversation, Toshi picked up a bag with his survival kit.

He looked to the ANBU, watching as he were one of the ones she pointed out. She then disappeared in a flock a crowd. ’Nice, leaving with style.’ He could only await what she had in store for the trio.

’To Maple Story!’ He was almost sure he had the name wrong, but he would find the destination. He’d probably been in that area a few times anyway.

WHAT?! She had to get a bell from the fourth Hokage?! And to top it off, unlike the other two groups that have only 3 people, the one that she's in has 4! And she can't just disappear and be away from the group either... That's too much people for her liking... But... She took a deep breath. "I have to do this..."

Anyone taking a look over at the young Kaguya's way would see the young girl talk to herself, giving herself pep talk. But also they would see an ever so slight transformation about the girl mainly mental state wise.

[Kiriyomi]

Kiriyomi would stand there silently as the Hokage explained the rules of the exam, a slightly nervous and worried look on his face. He wasn't teamed up with Shusuke or Keni, but thankfully Akio was his squad leader. He heaved a sigh of relief at that, and followed him over to this other boy, Jinzo. Kiri knew nothing of the boy, but as they strategized together, an idea came to his mind. He would likely get in a load of trouble if he was caught, but he had to do something to boost the teams capabilities.

Forgive me Senpai... I have to do this. Kiri would send some of his Kikai down his pant legs, crawling over towards Akio and Jinzo. As they crawl up their shirts to their backs, both ants would bite the boys. However, the one biting Jinzo would be filling him with corrupt energy, applying a Cursed Seal to his back. Kiri's eyes flash completely black for a moment, and he ducks his head so that no one would see. "Sorry about that! Just a little nervous, I guess the little guys got away from me. Let's get going and track down Sennin Nao!"

[Jinzo]

"Blue Team, Team Leader: Akio, Team Members. Kiriyomi, Jinzo. Assigned Area, Oak District" His eyes jumping, Jinzo was pretty sure that he didn't know who he was assitgned with, but if all things were as he surmised, he was definitely placed with other Genin. His assumption being what it was, he made a mental note to search them out as he also began to mentally think of all of the best hiding places that one could find in the Oak District. He'd been there hundreds of times and he hadn't overly thought of it but it did make hiding in plain sight a very real possibility. Of all the individuals that they could have been assigned to, getting the Sennin Nao was probably the better one in relation to having the choice of going up against the Hokage. Trying to grab a bell from an Uchiha? That seemed like an impossible task as far as Jinzo was concerned but he took it in stride. "Oh I forgot......you need to hold onto your bells if you get them, they can be taken back. Any team missing a bell at the end...well you already know. Any questions before we begin?" That went without saying, right? Maybe Jinzo was being pedantic, but with so many people around and so many variables to contemplate, the young artist was in a full strategical planning state. His eyes gazed over everything and everybody, and he pulled out paper and pencil from one of his many pockets.

A good chef always made notes as they went along because sometimes recipes had a mind of their own. "Hiya Nao-sennin! I won't let you down today! Remember? It was a promise!" Wait, hadn't the one guy reacted when his group was called? Was it that they knew each other? It wasn't outside of the realm of possibility that there would be emotional ties in these sorts of exams. Plenty of higher ups had families. Was his ally one that was related to one of the village leaders or just a respecting pupil? Jinzo didn't have to wait long for his answer. "Sounds like a plan! If we work together, even Sennin Nao won't be able to stop us from getting those bells!" This guy had to be the team leader, or in other words, Akio. Nodding with a smirk, Jinzo continued to jot things down as he saw them. "I sure hope so. Let's do our best!" As bright as his smile was however, he definitely caught the deliberate way that the Sennin let the bells dangle. Was he goading them or giving them a clue? Quickly writing down notes about the bells, Jinzo continued to follow his new allies as he grabbed his bag and continued onward. Perhaps it was the jitters or perhaps it was the weather, but the boy suddenly had a lone itching sensation in the middle of his back. Thinking nothing of it, he used the back end of his pencil to scratch just the right spot and away he went.
