Goro stands at a compact and efficient 5'6". His skin is a deep, sun-baked brown, a physical testament to his "outside" heritage that distinguishes him from the pale, subterranean elite of the Tsuchigumo. His eyes are a piercing blood-red, contrasting sharply against his stark white hair, which is kept in a long, disciplined braid to stay clear of his six limbs. While his peers rely on the prestige of the Seikon or Tsuchimikado, Goro’s body is his primary tool; he possesses a dense, athletic build earned through the obsessive physical conditioning required to coordinate six arms.
Mental Description: Goro is a simple boy who does not seek to make waves unless he is acting on the direct orders of the Tsuchigumo clan. From the very beginning, he was trained to be a weapon and an arm of the village, leading him to view himself primarily as a dutiful tool of the Clan. To Goro, the highest honor is found in service; he believes that a true Tsuchigumo must strive to be of use to the hive and to those who nurture them. He feels he has nothing else in this world besides his clan, believing that without their guidance and purpose, he would have been abandoned in a ditch or the back of a hovel. With the Clan, he possesses a future and a way of life that he otherwise would have lacked. Ultimately, Goro is not a person who needs anything more from this life than the ability to live for the sake of his people.
History:
Tsuchigumo Goro's history began over thirteen years ago on a battlefield where the Tsuchigumo clan sought to carve out a legacy for themselves. During a time of recovery for Sunagakure, the clan broke from their subterranean traditions to repel a bandit siege, fighting alongside various mercenaries and allies. It was during this skirmish that his mother, a woman of high status and prestige, encountered a mercenary partner; a brief, passionate union followed that eventually resulted in a travel companion she never expected: a mutated child growing within her.
When Goro was finally born, he unmistakably bore the six arms of the Hachiashi mutation, proving his ancestral lineage was strong. However, his physical appearance caused an immediate stir within the clan; while he possessed the red eyes and white hair of his kin, his skin was bronzed like the Sunan dunes rather than the pale complexion typical of the Tsuchigumo. Because he was the product of a non-approved union with outside blood, he was a political liability his mother could neither acknowledge nor rear. He was given the ironic name "Goro," labeling him as a "Fifth Son" to mask his true origin and strip him of any inherited status.
Goro was surrendered to the Tsuchigumo vanguards, where his life became a cycle of disciplined labor. His daily routine was rigid: rising early to train his six limbs, tending to the webs where the clan’s spiderlings were raised, and studying the complex curriculum of traps, poisons, and tactical maneuvers. Though he lacked the effortless genius of the clan's elite scholars, Goro proved to be a relentless worker who learned best through grueling repetition and personal effort. He embraced the clan’s philosophy that a Tsuchigumo must be the unseen wall of the village—a stalwart shield and a jagged spear designed to cripple any who dared threaten the safety of Sunagakure.
By the age of twelve, Goro had reached a level of sufficiency that met the clan’s exacting standards, but he faced one final trial before he could be approved for official shinobi training. While the village academy would teach him the ways of a Sunan shinobi, the clan demanded he demonstrate mastery over his bloodline. Tasked with creating a construct from his own webbing, Goro utilized his Silk Weaving ability, drawing the thread from his mouth and weaving it with precision between his fingers to form a thick, hardened needle. The clan council reviewed his work with a critical eye, judging the craftsmanship as simplistic and unrefined; however, they ultimately passed him after noting the needle’s remarkable durability and the promising density of the chakra infused within it. With this approval, Goro prepared to enter the Shinobi training program, driven by a simple desire to bring honor to the Tsuchigumo name through his service.
