Description:
- Barely breaking into a height just four feet tall, the young boy wouldn't be an immediately imposing figure to anyone at all. Yasuke would be considered just a little below average height for someone his age, with a slim and scrawny build to boot. His ebony hair was a little wild and unkempt, as though he'd been rolling around in his sleep and woke up not caring in the slightest about fixing it. His complexion wasn't what you'd consider common, dark brown like bitter chocolate and obviously not just tanned. The color of his iris' were a dark shadow of crimson, like blood pooling out from someone's slashed throat. Aside from their obvious color, his eyes were devoid of all the things you'd expect from a child...There was no gleaming sense of hope or zest for life, only emptiness barely revealed through half-closed lids. Usually, the lower half of his face is covered by a black scarf that flowed down his back with a length just over two feet. More or less mimicking a shadow, every article of clothing on him was dark and void-like. His clothing was baggy, making him seem just a little bigger in his long sleeved shirt and similarly toned cargo jeans. Standard Shinobi sandals gripped his feet, black also...Like the gloves that protected his hands. A small horizontal scar was visible just beneath his left eye...

Prologue:
The Anti-Matter
Every human being descended from another, and saying that alone is just stating the obvious. People often forget that life doesn't give you an option when it comes to your heritage. Some people can talk big and proud when it comes to their families, their clans, and their countries...Then there are those of us who come from what others might consider the absolute worst. Our royalty respected nowhere, and our presence feared almost always on mere sight alone. A powerful and wretched force of nature, thought of as less than humans by all but few who met them. Our people never bothered very much in the early days with keeping records, we were more concerned with mastering our techniques through repetition and constant battle. So the best I could tell you is that there's evidence of our dysfunctional existence as far back as a thousand years ago...Rumored about even as early as the dawning of Kirigakure's prestigious Isaki clan.
These people were known as the Kage-jin, which translates more or less to meaning Shadow People. There were a number of reasons for them having been called such, the one most people guessed first being the color of their skin...Dark...Earthy...Easily blending in with the shadows, embraced by the darkness rather than be exposed by it. The Kage-jin were scattered and more or less owned no great nation for themselves, families having split apart in search of work. As one of the more ancient and forgotten of the Shinobi clans, a reputation earned by their methods, they were traditionalists...The Kage-jin excelled in their particular art. They were masters of stealth, manipulators of darkness and shadow. The Kage-jin were naturally gifted with strength, and those who chose to hone that strength through training easily dominated melee combat.
They hired themselves out as mercenaries and assassins, putting their abilities and tactics to the test...Utilizing poisons, or charging in to annihilate everyone in the vicinity as quickly as possible with incredible speed, reflexes, and quick calculations. The more the Kage-jin split apart in such a manner, the more they began to despise one another. They would compete brutally against one another, almost always to the death. They weren't very common or widespread to begin with, sparsely located here and there across the globe without reason. With history already shrouded in isolated mystery and speculation, it was no wonder many other people thought of them as demons or devils. To be honest, most people didn't like working with them at all. However; being among the best at what they did made sure that in the most dire of situations they would be called upon to turn tides. Once the job was over though...Would you still trust a devil? After all...Trusting a Kage-jin could mean the end of your life. Among the few who were brave enough to do business with a Kage-jin clan or two were the Isaki...A grudgingly mutual partnership. They were hired for things every now and then, while purchasing goods from the Isaki as well.
The Kage-jin would have probably thrived as one of the most powerful, but they hated each other more than they hated anyone else. Unable to trust their own kind due to constant rivalries with one another the Kage-jin's violent legacy with one another raged until it brought them to the brink of extinction. On average, it took Kage-jin to defeat Kage-jin, and they were more than willing to face off against each other for an employer. As time went on children went fatherless, motherless, without culture or written history...Children who were never taught about anything, and wandered around without aim. The Kage-jin would sell their rivals and the abandoned children that didn't belong to their own clan to anyone, thinking nothing of it. Eventually though, their fearsome history was forgotten and all they did was wander...Long ago they were spoken of in whispers, but it reached a point that all was known is that they were dirt. Aimless vagabonds, living like gypsies until captured and broken down into slaves. After all...What selfish opportunists wouldn't take advantage of free manual labor? It's not like they had power anymore...
Chapter 0:
Early Life
The name Tsuihou speaks for itself, a title meaning exile and banishment. They were among the first Kage-jin to break away from the clan, superior in strength, potential, talent, and intellect when compared to even most other Kage-jin. No longer wishing to be involved with the constant bickering and brawling they cut themselves off from all the rest along with a few others. They were known as one of the best within the few small circles that dared whispered about such things. The Tsuihou were rumored to be capable of predicting the movements of their opponents, and being able to steal the techniques just by watching it performed carefully. They were proficient when it came to controlling the element of fire and strong willed enough to reflect Genjutsu with ease. Some were said to be capable of creating black flames with the strength to burn through anything, to burn endlessly within the darkness. This was all already on top of the natural Kage-jin perks such as the strength and athleticism, or bond with the darkness.
A minor group with no name, even among Kage-jin, became temporarily close with the Tsuihou. Unlike the Tsuihou they weren't the violent murderous sort...That didn't mean to say that they were weak or defenseless, not at all. They too were rumored to be capable of precognition, some considering themselves seers of sorts with combat placed aside. This particular group of traveling Kage-jin were capable of so much more, and their mental abilities seemed godlike. People feared them, known for their beauty rather than their imposing physique like the Tsuihou...Their eyes were capable of planting anything they wanted into the mind of those who's gaze met with those of the Kage-jin wanderers...The range of their hypnotic strength went anywhere between subtle suggestions to full blown memories and hallucinations. The eldest of their ilk spoke of experiencing days within seconds, something only the best were capable of. Well, these were their descendants. The two groups stayed together for a while, and out of those many days, a child was born. He was the son of a Tsuihou man and the daughter to one of the wandering seers. This child would be named Yasuke.
Two more children would be born, younger sisters but nothing was made of it. The wanderers drifted away, and the Tsuihou barely existed by the time Yasuke was three. By the time he was four, his father had been gone for a year and no one knew whether he was dead or alive. At five, Yasuke, his mother, and his sisters would split away too and travel like nomads. Eventually they ended up captured by slavers who simply couldn't pass up on such an opportunity. Three little ones and a beautiful mother, their worth on the market would be too much. It was like finding a small fortune, it just so happened that they were alive. That they were human beings, but then again...That was always a debatable topic. Like all living property, they would have to be properly broken...Taught their place in the world.
