There it goes again...
A small glitch in the event's proceedings, Shiromaru and Mikasa were still going at it in what was turning into a game of cat and mouse. Or mice rather.
Shiro had the endurance of a super human but Mikasa was trying to attack his mind. Shiro was a tactfully minded individual so his actions while spontaneous and seemingly erratic, he always had an end goal in mind. The end goal for this occasion was to win. Winning meant Shiromaru had to be the last one standing and no matter what mind games Mikasa threw at him, he would overcome the white hair'd woman's trickery.
Another little hiccup... You felt it this time right? Oh well... A flash of strikes began to rain down on Mikasa. This was not your normal punch or kick but high speed, matrix breaking strikes. Landing blow after blow, Shiro felt himself wearing down on Mikasa. He was finally gaining some momentum on the woman but then...
Not so much...
While Shiro was attacking with volley after volley of high speed attack, Mikasa was summoning an animal that would magically heal her wounds away.
I'd be a little salty if I wasn't slightly amazed that you taught your dog medical jutsu. Does he talk? I've got some bears that can talk... I can't bring them here yet because of wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff, but I'll invite them next time. Does he have a name? Jokes aside, Shiro could tell this creature was a cut above the average summoned creature. His clones and shadows would probably seem far less threatening.
However, something like this was what excited Shiromaru. New developments that Shiro didn't expect had a tendency to spike Shiro's adrenaline. From a young age he was taught to think deeper and differently from others and when he is genuinely surprised, the opportunity to solve an unexpected problem is what really gets his blood pumping.
If the various chakra based limiters on his body and ninjutsu based buffs weren't already doing that.
We've got ourselves a little party here then ey missy? Why don't you back that thang up on me and show me what you can really do?
