Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

It is not uncommon in the shinobi world for people to be raised and taught to restrain, or otherwise outright erase any emotions or attachment they may feel. While many shinobi seem to ignore the old ways, few are able to do the opposite and harness the strength of their emotions at a seconds notice. Those with this ability are gifted with the ability to read the emotions of others, and let their passion fuel and guide their abilities. Some possess emotions so strong, so intense, that they are able to draw out their feelings in the form of physical energy, at the cost of their own heart and soul's well being.

Note: All techniques and buffs from this Core Ability are considered Spiritual.

Empathy Scan<i></i> - Passive (2 points)
Emotions are the basis of these shinobi's abilities, there is little they do not understand about the causes and strengths of their feelings, as well as the outcomes they may influence on a person’s mind. Because of their extensive knowledge, these shinobi are able to read the emotions of others be it a frail child or hardened criminal. With their understanding, it is said that those with this gift are able to understand the action’s of other’s before they themselves decide.
Effect: +1.5 accuracy and dodge against those with a Genjutsu of 30 or more lower than user. Those with Genjutsu between 29 lower and equal to the user must make a Genjutsu save against this technique's success each round, using the Genjutsu DC of the user and Genjutsu Save of the target.

Emotion Bindings<i></i> - Independent Special Move (2 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up
At times, a person's emotions can cause them to behave irrationally and without thought, though for these shinobi they possess the ability to actually use the intense strength of their emotions to create a physical energy, using the pure intensity of their passion to restrain others to the air itself.
Effect: Allows the user to create 4 blades that hit at -1 Ninjutsu accuracy. Should all four hit, the target is chakra bound. If the bound victim is targeted offensively, the binding is dispelled. Can only be used on one target at a time, and once per battle per target successfully. Costs 1 AP.

Emotion Barrier<i></i> - Independent Special Move (2 points)
These shinobi are attuned to their inner feelings, and as such they are easily capable of forming strong bonds of attachment with others. At time’s, there is little that is stronger than their intense desire to protect other's, and they are able to create a visible form of their desire to protect in the form of a barrier. Though this energy is not chakra as it may appear, but rather a portion of the user’s own life force sacrificed for the well being of others.
Effect: User is able to use up to 10% of their Max HP to create a barrier around themselves and others. This used HP cannot be recovered while the barrier is in effect. Healing jutsu used within the barrier gain +25% effectiveness; Genjutsu cannot be cast through the barrier. The barrier lasts three rounds or until the HP is depleted. If the barrier drops with any HP left in it, this HP is returned to the user. Usable three times a battle. Costs 1 AP.

Pacify<i></i> - Independent Special Move (3 points)
Rage and anger are powerful emotions that can be hard to resist, yet for those attuned to the emotions of themselves and others they are a product that can be countered with a simple tranquilizing aura. These shinobi are able to infuse their chakra with calm desires such as peace, and disperse the intent to cause harm to those in the area.
Effect: At the cost of 2 AP and 5% Max HP, the user is able to nullify the effects of two target's damage buffs. Requires a Genjutsu roll to resist. Treated as a Will Genjutsu. Lasts two rounds.

Natural Empathy<i></i> - Boost (1 point)
Restriction- Can be purchased up to three times
It is said that emotional wounds run deeper than physical injuries. There is truth in this saying, and it also holds truth that the strength needed for emotional injuries to heal is also much greater and time consuming. However, for these Empathetic shinobi, they are so attuned to their inner soul that their body constantly draws it’s strength on their emotions, converting their emotional strength  and recovering from wounds at a much more rapid pace than others.
Effect: +10% damage healed from medical jutsu on the user. Added 1% healed while resting.

Emotion Blades<i></i> - Independent Special Move (2 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up
Using their emotions as a source of energy, these shinobi are able to create energy in the form of miniature crescents that strike at the invoker of their scorn. These blades are not chakra, but the emotions of these shinobi and cannot be countered by ordinary means. However, because this emotional energy is part of the user’s own being, drawing out their emotions as energy can prove taxing upon these shinobi, causing them physical pain.
Effect: For 1 AP, the user can create up to three blades. For every 1 HP put into the blade, the blade gets 2 damage, up to 400 damage per blade. Makes three blades. Receives all buffs to Ninjutsu the user possesses, and cuts through all forms of damage reduction, shielding and blocking. This technique cannot deal more than 1800 damage a round or be used while bound.

Charm Person<i></i> - Independent Special Move (2 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up
To those who understand the workings of the emotions of other’s, one can find that manipulating them is a simple task that only requires a bit of subtle guidance. These shinobi are able to play with the inner natures of others to such a degree, that they are nearly able to bend the will of others to suit their own causes, even if it is a simple act of raising their disposition them more.
Effect: Able to target one person with a Genjutsu-like effect for a duration of two rounds. During this time, the target must succeed against a Genjutsu roll in order to attack the user. Costs 500 HP to use and 250 to maintain the second round. The same target cannot be affected more than once per battle.

Soul Pulse<i></i> - Modification (2 points)
Restriction- Requires Chakra Blast, 1 Emotion CA skill
Emotions run high within these shinobi, and by drawing out their strength, they are able to imbue their emotions into what would otherwise be dark to assist in guiding them with a burst of emotional energy with the sole intent on striking their target.
Effect: The user may choose to make Chakra Blast an Emotion attack, cutting through all damage reduction and blocking effects and gaining +2 accuracy, by paying an addition 50% of the CP cost in HP. This attack is treated as gaining maximum Ninjutsu buffs even if the user does not have them and can only be done once per round.

Compassionate<i></i> - Passive (2 points)
Time has long been understood as the only remedy to heal emotional wounds, taking months to heal some of the deeper wounds. However, to those with the deep understanding of these same emotions, they find that their emotional wounds heal quickly, and the gap in their soul left by their drawn out emotions can be healed with little more than time.
Effect: Self-inflicted damage is recovered at 3% max HP per round. Damage that is not self inflicted cannot be recovered this way. Allows recovery of lost HP from Emotion Barrier while still in the barrier.

Emotional Torque<i></i> - Boost (1 point) x2
Restriction- May be purchased up to twice
The power of the Empathetic's emotions, their own combined with what they see in other people, is sometimes too intense for them to handle. They need to channel it through their chakra, letting it fuel their attacks instead of tearing at their souls.
Effect: +5% Ninjutsu damage

Sentimental<i></i> - Passive (3 points)
Much in the same way that these shinobi are able to peer into and read the emotions of others, these shinobi are constantly able to sense the feelings of those around them, and understand with an eerie perception that allows them to react and act upon the feelings of others.
Effect: The Empath has +10% Auto-dodge to all sources.

Inner Passion<i></i> - Passive (3 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up
Emotions, while often viewed as a sign of weakness, can be a powerful tool if embraced and utilized to their full extent. Unlike other shinobi who only feel brief and momentary spurs of emotion, these shinobi fuel themselves with their intense emotions and desires, and little seems to be able to quench the flames of their passion.
Effect: The user gains 10% damage reduction against all damage including other soul techniques, and does not take knockback or falling penalties. Effects that would prevent them from attacking are 5% less likely to succeed and AP reducing techniques only have 50% normal chance of working on them.

Spiritual Anguish<i></i> - Jutsu (1 point, 1 to rank up) x2
Restriction- A-Rank and Up
It is rumored that this technique strikes at the very soul of its victim, but whether or not this is true, what is the soul other than the inner emotions of a being? With their understanding and ability to use their own emotions as a source of power, these compassionate shinobi find that that can use this ability to strike at the same source in another. This technique damages the life force, or soul, of the victim, overflowing them with a surge of emotional energy that both painfully disrupts and rips a hole in the life force of the target.
Rank 1: Uses Ninjutsu accuracy. A successful hit disrupts 2 AP worth of actions and Deals 2000 damage to the victim's HP and CP. If the victim fails a Genjutsu Save, they take an additional 1000 unbuffable damage and a -1 dodge and Genjutsu Save penalty for three rounds afterward.
Rank 2: Uses Ninjutsu accuracy. A successful hit disrupts 2.5 AP worth of actions. Deals 2500 damage to the victim's HP and CP. If the victim fails a Genjutsu Save, they take an additional 1500 unbuffable damage and a -2 dodge and Genjutsu Save penalty for three rounds afterward.
Cost: 4500 CP, 1500 HP, 3 AP.
Notes:</I><I> Can only be used once every three rounds. HP expended cannot be recovered unless the user possesses Compassionate.

<U>Abilities

Defensive Stance
Rainfall, heavy pitter pattering of raindrops littered the air around the maiden, causing her platinum locks to press firmly against her brow. A single hand would outstretch with the utmost caution, her stance shifting ever so slightly, awaiting for a single moment to in time to begin.

Speedily a single kunai would sling throw the air, slicing against the crook her neck. No immediate reaction on her part, the next aimed slightly more center. Swiftly would her opposite hand streak upwards to swat away the next of the onslaught.

A thud in the dirt in the distance signified the training would cease, she had survived two rounds of practice.

Fearless
On the outskirts of the forestry were the faint grumbles of unearthly creatures, a storm was quickly approaching. The once feathery droplets were quickly becoming courser; however Mikasa would not resign for the day due to unfortunate weather circumstances.

A hardly audible clanking would usher forth a volley of projectiles, her stance had not yet wavered. Rapidly would her kaleidoscope orbs dart about, attempting to track the trajectory too little to no avail. Instinctively would her gloved hand surge forward, several instances of roaring ruptures would ensue against resonating crashing against some sort of debris.

No pain, not even a flinch, the kunai clearly protruding from the palm. What would most certainly leave large gashes and require serious medical treatment would not find its home within the maidens home on this day. After all, why fear pain when pain had already done its damage?

Rotating the wrist gently clockwise would result with the appendage crashing against terra below, fearless.

Hyperactive
Roaring into existence would a streak of voltage dance towards the earth below, the maiden exchanging glances with the darkened abyss above. To her left was the false appendage, the cloth which hid the connection dangling freely, as if a banner within the zephyrs. “Continue..” she states with a light pitch of laughter and on cue would the session continue despite technical difficulties.

Instinctively would the kunoichi exert pressure against the terrain to boost herself in the opposite direction of the incoming swarm of ammunition. In one fluid motion would her only usable hand unearth a canister within her belt pouch, her digits would grit against a newly found can labeled as dark roast espresso. With a ‘click’ would the top pry loose and for her to enjoy the sudden burst of awareness.

“Going to be one of those days..” she murmurs to herself in a sheepish grin

Duelist
Continuous beams of electrical discharges littered sky above, the downpour at an all-time high. Fortunately Mikasa’s sudden revitalization due to the espresso caused her senses to be on high alert. Due to the thick waters of Mother Nature did her vision upon kunai became extremely limited in terms of range.

Gracefully her body moves forward, a single digit extending outwards connecting with a fine translucent thread against the weapon lodged in her former gloved hand. Promptly the retraction would follow suit, reeling straight into her palm to be gripped upon. Ripping through the air would her petite arm lunge forward, steel clashing fiercely against one another.

Even a disadvantage would not ruin the mood, for she was nothing more than a duelist at heart.

Deflection
Vibrating deadly minerals echoed throughout the thickets, the occasional reverberation of impact against timber began to feud versus the uproar of downfall. Elegantly her body moves to and fro, the exercise entering the next phase of difficulty. The swarms of kunai become larger in volume, denser, and giving far less breathing room to maneuver. Expeditiously the metal within her palm would rotate outwards, causing its brethren to ping in opposite directions.

Much to her dismay, however, sporadically would a few be able to breach the defense she bore with gritted teeth. Slices upon her visage were inevitable, but at times not all deflection was possible.

Will Power
Could one be truly envious of the rain that fell upon her flesh? Surely closer than many hand have ever been.

Fortunately the downfall would begin to lighten and her kaleidoscope gaze able to capture within full detail the countless of deadly objecting hurtling through the air. Many a valiant fighter would charge forward and subject themselves to becoming a pin cushion, but she were far more intelligent than that. Without a word would her index and middle finger spring upright, a single optic fastens, chakra flowing to the only visible.

The once endless stream of kunai fizzles into nothingness and only remaining a handful lurching forward. At times while one required strength and valor, all that one truly needed was nothing but mere will power.

Mechanized Weapon
Mikasa’s journey was now settling upon the final fork in the path, the ending steadily creeping upon her. Unfortunately she were to deal with the handful of training devices. In her sole hand once rest a furnished steel of her own, now dull and worn. Without hesitation would the maiden toss aside her former turned ally, streaking forward with platinum entrails fluttering about in her wake.

Her gaze settles against the once attached hand, with a flick of her wrist would reveal an unusual source of clanking, gears grinding against one another. Unexpectedly would a glove digit grip oddly against the terra before jolting abruptly upwards.

Strategist
“Activate detonation sequence.” she commands in a wafer sweet tone, despite have no attachment towards the one about to depart from their realm. The final handful of kunai would rapidly approach before faltering against the instantaneous eruption of flames spewing in all directions. The backdraft cause the deadly metals to scatter in various directions about her.

Strolling forward would she find herself stretching the palm of her left hand outwards to capture the remains of the one leather glove hand. “I particularly fancied that color.” she muses with a wisp of air. The rain ceasing altogether.

Delicately her digits streak through the drenched platinum, combing backwards. In the cruel world they found themselves within, strategy was necessary and having an ace in the whole necessary.

Jutsu Mastery
Mikasa learned that simple humanity was a weakness; she had learned that all things living were not strong and could easily be snuffed out like a simple flame. Her sacrifice had not a single ounce of weight within her mind, for she could reproduce another model. Disposable, a majority of the world classified wide array of objects as, life included.

In one foul move would the thickets scatter to reveal the source of all the kunai. One closer inspection one would be able to view countless threads extending from her digits to the cladded object. “Quite a heavy usage of chakra.” she admits, but through training would she begin to lessen the burden.

Combat Medic - Free Ability Slot
Within the short period of her own existence had her kaleidoscope gaze taken in numerous unsightly deaths. Each instance causing inner turmoil and reeling her thoughts to an earlier point along the time line where she failed to save the one individual who meant the most.

To further advance her studies, she partook within the combat fields, utilizing the rapid rising opportunities of the samurai regime. Mending after a feud would result no further in her research attempts to rebuild, she needed fresh specimens to tinker upon and force upon new gadgetry.

After all, the reality was quite simple, one cannot breathe life into the dead.

Shinobi 101 - Free Slot casting casting Visual Genjutsu via Ranged Accuracy
Dabbling within puppetry was certainly not a common occurrence and in order to add additional astonishment, one had to continue to aim towards the unknown. Merely wielding a unique puppet did not mean absolute control, this she knew very well.

Frolicking upon the terra was that of a double the norm, in regards to size, butterfly of odd hue. Faint clinking and clanking would be audible, the one behind the veil in the distance, the chakra threads far more visible than attended. Far from perfection, but to channel her own chakra into a being without a core system proved difficult. In time the thousands of petite eyes would brighten, her creation beginning to waft her own jutsu outwards.

Continuous beams of electrical discharges littered sky above, the downpour at an all-time high. Fortunately Mikasa’s sudden revitalization due to the espresso caused her senses to be on high alert. Due to the thick waters of Mother Nature did her vision upon kunai became extremely limited in terms of range.

Gracefully her body moves forward, a single digit extending outwards connecting with a fine translucent thread against the weapon lodged in her former gloved hand. Promptly the retraction would follow suit, reeling straight into her palm to be gripped upon. Ripping through the air would her petite arm lunge forward, steel clashing fiercely against one another.

Even a disadvantage would not ruin the mood, for she was nothing more than a duelist at heart.

Vibrating deadly minerals echoed throughout the thickets, the occasional reverberation of impact against timber began to feud versus the uproar of downfall. Elegantly her body moves to and fro, the exercise entering the next phase of difficulty. The swarms of kunai become larger in volume, denser, and giving far less breathing room to maneuver. Expeditiously the metal within her palm would rotate outwards, causing its brethren to ping in opposite directions.

Much to her dismay, however, sporadically would a few be able to breach the defense she bore with gritted teeth. Slices upon her visage were inevitable, but at times not all deflection was possible.

Mikasa’s journey was now settling upon the final fork in the path, the ending steadily creeping upon her. Unfortunately she were to deal with the handful of training devices. Strolling forward would she find herself stretching the palm of her left hand outwards to capture the remains of the one leather glove hand. “I particularly fancied that color.” she muses with a wisp of air. The rain ceasing altogether.

Name: Jerfu

Description: Standing upon all fours, Jerfu towers above most at a full height above the average male shinobi. The canine's fur matches the texture of satin. Jerfu's fur complexion is composed of shades of coffee and cream, while the behemoths gaze mimics a deep ocean azure. About his mane are four jagged stones, lodged within his flesh and each representing a member of his pack who perished in battles prior to his time in the realm of shinobi; shouldering the burden of the weight as a constant reminder to become a better leader.

Personality: Jerfu possession a strong sense of loyalty, constantly considering the emotional status of the pack he leads and adjusts accordingly. The canine aims to embark down the path same path as his father, Kimijun; despite the sheer amount of offspring the Overlord has aided in producing, Jerfu aims to head the entirety. At times the creature can be overbearing and overly protective, yet the feelings originate with good intentions to ensure no harm will befall those he watches over.

History: Born the twenty-eighth pup of Overlord Kimijun, Jerfu marches to the tune of a single beat, to one day inherit the right to lead the entirety of his brethren as his father does. To possess the strength to move forward while shouldering the burden of the pack is the sign of ultimate strength and due to this particular mentality, the canine idolizes the overlord. At a young age the creature formed his own 'Beta Pack', in hopes of becoming their alpha and achieving the higher status of 'Alpha Pack'. Regrettably during the era of conflict it was not uncommon for a majority of the beta packs to falter and be killed off as means to stunt the strength of the canines as a whole; Jerfu's group of four no exception and despite his better efforts the quad nothing more than causalities of war.

Initially the loss of his comrades took a heavy toll and result in the largest consequence alphas are subjected towards; the young pup becomes unable to return to his comrades and is sentenced to travel alone to atone for the sins of failing to protect the group. Through his travels, Jerfu learned to strengthen himself by turning the burden of the deaths as motivation, piercing his own flesh with a stone for each pup lost in similar manner of Kimijun. Once he accepted his failures and grew from them, the canine was offered the opportunity to lead once more on a singular condition of watching over a kunoichi of Konohagakure, Tsukasa Mikasa.

The conditions of his returning to lead another pack through his strengthening are to guide the maiden throughout the remainder of her life and only if he is able to protect her until death will he be rewarded to return the Canine realm for a final opportunity.[/fontsize]

Description: Standing upon all fours, Jerfu towers above most at a full height above the average male shinobi. The canine's fur matches the texture of satin. Jerfu's fur complexion is composed of shades of coffee and cream, while the behemoths gaze mimics a deep ocean azure. About his mane are four jagged stones, lodged within his flesh and each representing a member of his pack who perished in battles prior to his time in the realm of shinobi; shouldering the burden of the weight as a constant reminder to become a better leader.

Personality: Jerfu possession a strong sense of loyalty, constantly considering the emotional status of the pack he leads and adjusts accordingly. The canine aims to embark down the path same path as his father, Kimijun; despite the sheer amount of offspring the Overlord has aided in producing, Jerfu aims to head the entirety. At times the creature can be overbearing and overly protective, yet the feelings originate with good intentions to ensure no harm will befall those he watches over.

History: Born the twenty-eighth pup of Overlord Kimijun, Jerfu marches to the tune of a single beat, to one day inherit the right to lead the entirety of his brethren as his father does. To possess the strength to move forward while shouldering the burden of the pack is the sign of ultimate strength and due to this particular mentality, the canine idolizes the overlord. At a young age the creature formed his own 'Beta Pack', in hopes of becoming their alpha and achieving the higher status of 'Alpha Pack'. Regrettably during the era of conflict it was not uncommon for a majority of the beta packs to falter and be killed off as means to stunt the strength of the canines as a whole; Jerfu's group of four no exception and despite his better efforts the quad nothing more than causalities of war.

Initially the loss of his comrades took a heavy toll and result in the largest consequence alphas are subjected towards; the young pup becomes unable to return to his comrades and is sentenced to travel alone to atone for the sins of failing to protect the group. Through his travels, Jerfu learned to strengthen himself by turning the burden of the deaths as motivation, piercing his own flesh with a stone for each pup lost in similar manner of Kimijun. Once he accepted his failures and grew from them, the canine was offered the opportunity to lead once more on a singular condition of watching over a kunoichi of Konohagakure, Tsukasa Mikasa.

The conditions of his returning to lead another pack through his strengthening are to guide the maiden throughout the remainder of her life and only if he is able to protect her until death will he be rewarded to return the Canine realm for a final opportunity.[/fontsize]

The Sharingan allows the user to comprehend the attack of an opponent almost before the attacker knows what attack they are making, this is done through tracking their movements by studying their chakra. The Mangekyou Sharingan is a heightened form of Sharingan, and is distinguished from a normal Sharingan through its appearance, which changes the form of the tomoe. The appearance of the mangekyou differs from user to user based upon their own traits, there are hardly ever two Uchiha with the same pattern. In this stage the Sharingan is far more powerful and has the potential to utilize very powerful techniques, although the sheer amount of chakra utilized can have damaging backlash upon the User's eyesight, slowly deteriorating their Vision.

These shinobi are able to play with the inner natures of others to such a degree, that they are nearly able to bend the will of others to suit their own causes, even if it is a simple act of raising their disposition them more.
Effect: The target must pass a Genjutsu Save roll versus the user's Ninjutsu Accuracy in order to target them with an offensive action. If they fail, the action auto-fails. This does not take up a Genjutsu slot on the victim and lasts three rounds. Target may only auto-fail a single action per round, and may only be effected by Charm Person once per battle. Costs the user 1.5 AP and 2% Max HP.

Tsukiyomi - Doujutsu Genjutsu<i></i> (1 point)
Utilizes the Mangekyou sharingan to create a hellish genjutsu of which the user has complete control. This technique is feared and believed the most powerful Genjutsu, and can last anywhere from 24 to 72 hours in the targets mind, but in reality only lasts a couple seconds. While powerful, this technique causes immense strain upon the user's eye's and leaves them vulnerable by damaging their eyesight, and cannot be used without resting the eye's first.

Rank 1: An illusion that creates a round within a round during which the victim cannot take any actions and suffers -2 dodge. In the illusion, the user gets AP equal to their AP/1.5. When the illusion ends the user will have only spent chakra equal to 50% of the chakra spent in the illusion and the victim only takes damage equal to 50% of the damage dealt to them in the illusion.

Cost: 3 AP; 2000 CP, Hp equal to 20% of the final damage done.
