Edited for a misunderstanding
Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.
Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.
Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.
The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.
This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Shinobi 101: FIre style jutsu uses Genjutsu DC
Maikeru, being an Uchiha had always been naturally talented at two things. Genjutsu, and fire style ninjutsu. Imagine his surprise when he found a way to combine the two to strengthen each other. By using his Sharingan to shoot short burst of genjutsu at his target, he could fool them into trying to fight off a genjutsu, even believing the fire style jutsu he was firing at them was an illusion. This trick would come in handy numerous times throughout his career, and always left a wicked little grin on his face whenever he managed to get away with it. The best part? His enemies were never, ever, the wiser. (110 Words)
Mind overflow
As a skilled genjutsu user, it was no surprise that his genjutsu had extra, unforseen effects on the victims. Early on in his training, Maikeru had found something interesting with his genjutsu, specifically with the ones cast from his Sharingan. While under his illusions, the victims were usually in a weakened state, and it seemed forced to let their guard down. This was good news to him, as it usually meant they were unable to block and mitigate his combat abilities as well. Never a bad thing for a shinobi, especially one who used as many mind altering abilities as he tended to (103 words)
Duelist
There was always something satisfying about one on one combat. Whether it was the sense of honor, or the bond forged between two warriors who had crossed blades, metaphorically in Maikeru's course, it was always enthralling. As such, Maikeru had spent many of his training sessions focusing on this aspect of shinobi combat, the duel. Eventually, he found he had a knack for it, which he partially attested to his Sharingan's ability to predict and even mimic movements, and partly to the hard work he had put in. Regardless the reason, if it came to a one on one battle, he knew there were few at his level that could best him. (112 words)
Clarity
Uchiha who had unlocked their kekkei genkei were always known for a few things. Most notably, the ability to sense when they are locked into mind altering techniques and even reverse them upon the original user. Maikeru was no exception to this rule. After training with his eyes, he found his ability to detect such genjutsu was so great, that there was never a time, minus a surprise attack, when he could find himself surprised by a genjutsu. Illusions were quickly becoming child's play to him. And this, this left a large, almost unreasonable smile on the young Uchiha's face. (100 words)
Elemental Illusion
Genjutsu were an interesting thing. Because they were non physical attacks, attacks that focused on ones senses and psyche rather than ones body, there were usually unexpected side effects. For a master genjutsu user, one of these side effects was often the ability to magnify their abilities on the users clouded mind. The ability to trick their body into thinking they had suffered more damage than they actually had. This varied from practitioner to practitioner, but in Maikeru's case it meant his fire jutsu were heightened beyond their usual damage threshold. That the victims body would suffer burns that didn't exist, that they would feel their blood boil at heats that would barely cause you to take off your sweater.

After his fight with Reicheru, Maikeru realized one glaring weakness in his fighting style. He didn't have a weapon. It didn't sit well with him, having such a glaring weakness in his repertoire, and it was one he needed to shore up immediately. With a deep, regretful sigh, he grabbed his wallet, and headed out the door. He knew one thing about this blade, it couldn't be made by someone else. No, this blade had to be made by him, he was the only one he could trust his own life with. He spent weeks, months with the blacksmiths of Konoha, learning the craft, learning the way to make the absolute perfect Katana. It took many, many attempts. Dozens of failed blades later, he sat there at the forge, letting his blade heat to the proper temperature. He had a good feeling about this one. The metal used, the mixture, even down to the slur he had used to forge it. Everything had seemed perfect.
As he pulled it out, and looked at the glowing red piece of metal he smiled. He had done it, he had created his perfect blade. He lifted his hammer high above his head, and with one, final swing, he completed it. The blade was forged with a red tint to the metal, and the handle wrapped in an identical color. Foes who saw this blood red blade and lived to tell about it would be rare, and few between, just like a blood moon.

Uchiha Maikeru said:Changing out abilities.
This last month was an important one for Maikeru, he had learned many things he had thought already known to him. He learned about the importance of family, and about picking who you wanted as that family. He learned the feeling of true friendship, and of winning humbly. But most importantly, he learned about himself, and the type of man he wanted to be. He didn’t want to rely on his clan anymore, he didn’t want or need the power of his eyes to be the man he wanted, no, needed to be. The route to changing himself would be a long on, and it would be very, very difficult, but he already knew the important first step. He had to change the way he fought.
For his entire life, he had relied on his mastery of genjutsu. His aptitude had always been in the art of illusions and mental trickery, and it had served him well in the past. Now, however, was the time to change all that. His plan was a simple one in thought, but a difficult one to implement. All he had to do was undo fifteen years of training and supplement it with new skills. Easy, right?
Well, yes and no. In theory, he could use genjutsu to just rewrite his mind. Use a self inflicted technique to train his muscles in the skills and techniques he wanted them to know, and it would take very little effort at all. However, his father had always imparted a few words on him that he had lived by his whole life.
“There is an easy way to do things, and then there was the right way.”
Even thinking about those words brought a small smile to the Uchiha’s face. He gathered his supplies in the early hours of the morning, before his classes at the academy started, and his parents had roused themselves to being their morning rituals, and headed out the door. As he stepped into the cool air of Konoha, he inhaled deeply. He was ready. He was ready to being his months of hell.
The first step was deciding how exactly he wanted to implement this training, and what he was going to focus on. That part, thankfully, was easy. He had drawn inspiration from his friends Reicheru and Danni in this matter, and they were a great help in the retraining of his body. The Nanjirou were natural swordsmen, it was quite literally in their blood, and daily spars and sword katas with them helped train and strengthen his muscles.
Having always been a scrawny boy, focusing on studies instead of physical pursuits, it was an important first step. It would be rather unfortunate if his body couldn’t keep up with the demand of his grand redesign. It took time, lots of time, but eventually he saw results. The muscles on his stomach and chest quickly became more defined, and his arms became larger and larger with each passing week. At the rate he was going, he would need a whole new wardrobe to compensate for his growth.
With his improved physical conditioning he found there were many perks to it. Firstly, was the increased energy he felt. Every day he trained he got less, and less tired. He found he was able to function on less sleep, and even found himself having excess energy that he just had to expend somehow. On top of that, the small bruises and scrapes he got as a casualty of training seemed to heal faster than he was use to.
His physical strength also gave him a new sense of confidence. It was like there was nothing left in the world that could really scare him. To put it bluntly, it felt to him like he had become fearless, more willing to rush into combat and be on the front lines, rather than sitting back and letting his illusions wear down his opponents mind. He no longer preferred the slow, methodical victory. He wanted to get in there, and cause as much physical damage as he could. He quite liked that.
Although he no longer wished to rely on his clan, to rely on the strength of his Sharingan, there was something he could not get over, no matter how much training he did. He was an Uchiha. This came with both perks and disadvantages that he could never get past. The strongest, and smartest, fighters however are able to turn their innate weaknesses into strengths, and their strengths into feats.
As an Uchiha, he had a natural affinity towards the fire element. No matter how much he practiced other chakra natures, fire and its subclasses would always come easiest to him. Well, if you can’t beat them, join them. With much training, he found he was able to incorporate fire into his kenjutsu, entering a style that would increase both his offense and defense using the burning flames of his will of fire.
Finally, he needed to actually master the art of wielding a blade. This was probably the easiest thing for him. After all, he had friends to rely on who had spent their whole lives by the blade. They were more than happy to let him lean on them, and to aid his process.
It was different from genjutsu, by a far margin. Instead of relying on visual prowess, and cut down his opponents will, he was now.. Literally cutting down his opponent. Using his blade he bled them both literally and figuratively, putting a good finishing touch on his transition.
With an exhausted sigh, he sat on his front porch, sipping a nice, cold glass of water. He had worked hard these past months, harder than he ever had before. He was proud of himself, and in the bonds that had made this possible. He had met his new family, and it wasn’t the Uchiha, it would never be the Uchiha. The only thing now, was to figure out how to stop instinctively turning on his Sharingan..

His training had been going well, but, now it was time to step it up to the next level as it were. He had gotten rid of his genjutsu proclivity, but, now it was time to become actually skilled with a sword. His muscles were now thicker, more pronounced and able to swing and manipulate his blade much easier. It was the perfect time to become a master of the sword, a ronin of sorts. Or, at least, that was what he was attempting here. This was the final test to see if he was actually able to utter those words with pride.
As he sat beneath the mid day soon he inhaled deeply, taking in every scent around him. He listened, hearing the subtle sounds of cherry blossoms falling in the air around him, matching his heart beat to the soft, almost inaudible noise as they hit the ground. And that was when he moved.
As a cherry blossom his the ground, he quickly unsheathed his sword, bringing it in a wide arc in front of him, an Iadio strike he had been learning from the Nanjirou clan of late. He let out a loud cheer, and a wide smile donned his face as he saw four cut in half cherry blossoms laying at his feet.
He picked up each one and examined them. They were clean cuts, every single one. There was no tearing of the petal, no marks from where the blade faltered and cut in an upward direction instead. No, all of these slashes were perfectly straight. He threw them behind him, a symbolic gesture of leaving his past fighting style behind him. Slowly, he began his trek back home, he had a lot to tell his parents. After all, they were going to be so proud of their son, the boy who mastered both the blade and himself.
