Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Appearance:
Saki is short for her age, her face and sharp gray eyes covered by long, uneven hair. She stands at a height of 155 cm (5'1") and weighs 52 kg (114.6 lbs). Her rounded, furtive features can sometimes be seen masking an unkind grin, though she prefers that nobody can see her at all in most situations. Her skin is surprisingly pristine for how much time she's spent in the dust and the dirt, save for a handful of long, thin scars running up her forearms. Her clothing never has much of an identity of its own; she wore what everyone else did at the Academy, and since graduation she's practically copied the other Genin and AITs.
Personality:
Saki is frighteningly cunning and cunningly frightening. She often enjoys terrifying her close friends and foster familiy with monstrous mechanical creations of hers, and is certainly not above tormenting them for other reasons when she's sure they won't hate her too much afterwards. Despite this antagonizing surface however, her position even at the bottom of society is fragile, and she is well aware of it. She has an acute sense of her status as an outsider, technical or not, that relentlessly haunts her exchanges with others. One thing it doesn't interfere with, though, is her love of competition- in fact, many of her friends remain so because they can beat her at something. Those who can't are of no interest to her.
History:
Saki was born and soon orphaned in a small village, somewhere in a faraway country that she doesn't remember well. When she was young, a curious caravan of ex-mercenaries visited the village under the guise of trade interests, and, impressed by her affinity for craftsmanship and signs of chakra development, abducted her (though by their admission, she probably wasn't missed). She joined a small group of other children who were 'selected' from countryside towns for their talents, and was trained rigorously by the group in the art of making them money. Drilled primarily in social skills and persuasion, but also stealth, pickpocketing, escape tactics- Saki was praised for progressing quickly, and rewarded with stories of the ninja villages where the older members had grown up.
Over the years, however, the group's ambitions and pockets began growing deeper and deeper. The conscripts' training shifted to more dangerous forms of persuasion: chakra control, weapon skills, combat. Saki was a natural, driven partially by her fierce competition with the others. Despite their advancing skills, the group was weakening, divided by greed and differing objectives- fearing being left behind, Saki put her all into the training and eventual heists. No city was safe, it seemed.
No city except for one. The group's interests soon turned to the Village Hidden in the Clouds, a treacherous step up from their usual fare in terms of security. Saki and her few remaining peers were released into the commercial district to pull all the money they could carry while the older members pursued a secret goal deeper in the village... however, when she returned to the rendezvous late, the entire caravan was gone. She waited there for days, marooned in a village much better than anything she'd ever known. Eventually, she appealed to one of the families that she'd been posing as a lost child to for food, because now she really was one. Thus began the life of Umetsu Saki, the resident of the Hidden Cloud- she joined the Academy right alongside her new brothers and sisters, discovering an abnormal affinity for Earth chakra compared to the rest of her agegroup, a remnant of her home village.

Earth Blessing - Ability Modification (3 points)
Restriction- Requires Weapon Attunement
Earthborn ninja are much like their favored element: steady, tough and strong. With this comes enormous power, giving them the strength to do monstrous amounts of damage in physical combat, limited only by their bond with the element.
Effect: The user's equipped weapon is treated as Earth element and gains all associated damage boosts and penalties, in addition to those from Weapon Attunement.

Wrath of Earth - Dependent Special Move (3 points)
Through their bond, the Earthborn calls upon the power of the earth, summoning strength before hitting with one devastating blow with all the fury of the ground. This takes them some time to perform, but the end result can be devastating.
Effect: By adding .5 AP, the user may 'overcharge' any Earth damaging jutsu in order to double its Base Damage and increase its chances of activating secondary effects by 15%. All normal buffs to the jutsu's damage are applied after this. However, the amount of CP used is also doubled, and the jutsu cannot be maintained even if it normally could. Jutsu overcharged in this way are treated as one OOC rank higher and subject to all associated restrictions. This cannot be used on A-Rank jutsu, and may be done once per round.

Smack Down - Dependent Special Move (2 points)
With their natural inability to target those in the air with so many of their techniques, it isn't surprising many Earthborn have developed an innovative way to put an end to that particular handicap. Even if it does, essentially, mean throwing rocks at their opponent. After all, that's what they're best at.
Effect: When the user takes any Earth action that targets an enemy, they may add +20% CP in order to automatically activate Suppression upon a full hit. If the target struck is Airborne, being hit with this removes their Airborne status.
