Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

As Yukio walked through the causeway he looks to the cells on each side, it was actually the first time he had set foot in this place not sure what he was expecting from the place, though he didn't turn back to look back at Akumi though it was obvious he was still watched her the light tint of green light from his eyes creating a soft glow as he spoke for the first time since there meeting at the gates.

"Again I do appreciate the cooperation in these circumstances, it could have been well...a lot more difficult but at least this way everything will be covered in time without the need for a more upfront outcome."

The young Shinobi would never seem to lose his sense of calm, though it was not overconfidence, his nature had been tempered throughout his training and at the end of the day his mind was somewhat adrift with thoughts of what had happened at the gates causing a slight sigh to escape the Hyuuga's lips as his head tilted to the side slightly stopping at an empty cell and turning on his heels to look at her.

Akumi followed the other ninja all the way to the prison complex. Once she was inside, it was exactly as she expected it, gloomy, and looking exactly like a prison. Once they were at the cell akumi looked at the new ait and sighed. She handed over her pouches that had her weapons.

"You're lucky I am a friendly and coming in peacefully. You should have taken these long ago." She stated, though she wasn't sure how much training he had beforehand.

Akumi was calm and seemed to have shut down her emotions for the time being. She wasn't going to show weakness in front of a stranger, after all, she let her guard down for her brother, but that was it. Once she was away from him, she was calm, she even had a small smile. She didn't give a hint if it was a happy smile or a devious one. It was too small to tell, maybe that was just her neutral resting face.

"If I want to go home, I have no choice but to cooperate." Akumi said, her clothing choice didn't leave many places to hide anything, so after she spoke she entered the cell.

"I am grateful that you guys didn't shoot first and ask questions later." She said with a nod, she didn't much else to say to the guy, hopefully, he didn't expect anything else. She wouldn't comment on the anbu thing, or anything else, no point in it now. She did question why his boss promoted him in public, weren't anbu's supposed to keep their faces hidden, a secret. She knew it was important, in order to protect loved ones.

Yukio appreciated her cooperation as much as she appreciated being allowed back into the village as he closed the cell door after taking her gear, it was true he didn't have much to ask the women as he waited outside the cell to await what would become of her. His thoughts still wandering a moment as he thought on what was going on tilting his head back to her.

"Well we both want the same thing really, to get everything back to normality. I may seem young but like everyone else I've had my fair share of experiences i can only imagine what made you leave the village in the first place....thinking about it if you planned to come back getting a passport and doing it that way may have been the more logical idea."

His words were blunt but like her a smile was still present on his face, showing he didn't have malice or hate towards her he was simply doing his duty to the village.

After the door was closed, AKumi took a seat on the ground, crossed legged. She was a bit tired from the journey, but she didn't let it show much. She didn't want to rest just yet, maybe she was just eager to get back to work.

AKumi looked at the wall after the guy spoke, it was true. She didn't plan on coming back. "You're right, completely right. I didn't plan on coming back. I guess I didn't have it in me to stay to leave for good." She said, but she wasn't going to talk about the reasons why she left. Only one person knew and she didn't know where he was right now.

Akumi went silent as she started thinking, she felt bad for not going and finding her friend, but she trusted he could handle himself out there. He choose to leave stone to go off on his own, so she was just trying to convince herself he would be fine. Hopefully, he'd come back too, but knowing him, he would fight. He wouldn't come back here willingly unless she was with him.

Akumi would sit in silence until someone else came. She didn't know how long it would take, she could be in here for a day, hours, who knew.

Yomi had received a message from the gates that Akumi had appeared and taken into custody, but, only Akumi. This troubled the Medical Sennin deeply as she knew that Akumi and her beloved Baba had left together. For them to be separated did not sit well with her, so she gathered herself, and made her way to the prison. Perhaps Akumi could share some details on Baba's whereabouts. Yomi knew that to get something from the girl, she'd have to give something. Before making it to the facility, the woman picked up some dumplings from the dumpling shop for Akumi to partake in should she want to.

Upon arrival, Yomi followed all the proper protocols to get in and out of the facility. She did not give anyone too much of a hard time as she was properly escorted to where the girl was being held. It seemed that Akumi was being babysat and that Yomi's conversation with her would be monitored. No matter, Yomi was not here to interrogate the girl, only inquire, however whatever ANBU wanted to know, they'd have to get from her, themselves; She was already doing three jobs, and was not looking for a fourth. Looking over at Yukio, she recognized the Hyuuga from that hunters hide and seek class. The Sennin gave a small smile, but, cut right to the chase.

"Hello, Yukio. I would like a private moment with Akumi, please." Yomi said in her usual even tone. It was not a request but Yomi's tone did not show that it in fact was a demand. She hoped that she did not have to list off all the reasons why her asking Yukio was a mere pleasantry. Sometimes things worked out better when people didn't give the Goddess a hard time. Yomi wondered if Takeshi were here would he tell her no. The mere thought of that made Yomi upset, so, she lightly shook the thought from her mind.

Yukio turned his head as Yomi approached the cell, giving a bow of his head in a respectful greeting he listened to what she had to say. He knew full well he had nothing to say against the request, she was a Sennin after all and Akumi was already contained so with that in mind he moved aside for her taking a few steps away from the cell.

"Of course I see no problem with your request"

He walked away from the cell giving the two space to talk in privacy his input or intervention not being seen as required at that point in time.

Akumi looked up as she sensed a new presence outside her cell, an older woman, beautiful no doubt. The woman seemed to hold power, both politically and physically, it made akumi wonder why she decided to visit a criminal. Akumi stood, and waited for the AiT to walk away. Akumi had no need for introductions, as the woman already knew who she was, no one walks into a prison to visit a stranger whom they don't already know the name of. She doubted many knew that akumi was here, probably only sennin and those who were outside looking for her. Maybe she was wrong to assume that, either way, Akumi knew there was a reason for a visit.

"To whom do I have the pleasure?" Akumi asked simply, then she showed the woman a smile. She may have been a lawbreaker but she wasn't one to show disrespect to someone who was older and more powerful than herself. It would be foolish to show disrespect in this situation anyways, who knew, maybe this woman could have her locked up here for the rest of her days.

The Goddess would wait until Yukio was an acceptable distance away from them before she would begin speaking to the newly returned missing-nin. It wasn’t anything against Yukio, more of her feelings over Takeshi projected on to the poor lad. Also, Yomi never referred to her as a “missing-nin” as it always held a negative association without considering ninja’s individual circumstances. But feelings aside, it is what her and Baba were based on the laws of the village.

Yomi looked at Akumi through the prison bars and smiled. “I’m just a concerned woman, Akumi. My name is Yomi if you’re curious.” Yomi spoke in a low tone as she placed the package of dumplings through the slot designated for food.

“Have you eaten? I have come bearing gifts, if you haven’t” Leaning against the wall, Yomi would cut right to the chase as there was no telling how long she would have before other people wanted to come in and interrogate the poor girl.

“I expect your brother and others will be here shortly. So, I won’t take up too much of your time, in anticipation of their arrival.” The Medical Sennin started.

“I’ve come to ask you about the person you left with, Baba Gagoze. I see that he has not returned with you. What has happened to him? But I do have manners, so I will ask about you first. Are you alright?” Now, there were many things she could have said leading up to this, but, choosing not to reveal too much of her hand, while being respectful to Akumi’s intelligence was the best option for her now.

Akumi was surprised at how kind this woman seemed, Yomi. She wasn't sure if it was genuine or just a ruse to get info, either way, Akumi did not have much info to give. Akumi gladly took the dumplings, she hadn't eaten yet so she was being to feel quite famished. "Thank you, I haven't eaten in a bit." Akumi stated, but she would wait to start eating until Yomi's interview was over.

Akumi wondered when they would be here, she doubted her brother would allow her to wait long in holding. Though who knew, she didn't expect him to stick his neck out for her, though she wouldn't be surprised if he did.

Yomi asked two simple questions, the first question was a little tricky. Would Yomi be happy with the little info she had? There wasn't much to tell. "I am fine." Akumi started, she then sat back down as if she had a long story to tell. "I don't know where Tango- I mean Baba went off too. It has been a while since we went our separate ways." Akumi explained truthfully. "He could be anywhere by now." She said with a sigh, she knew he could handle himself, and she was sure he would be returned to the village one way or the other.

It had been a long day for Akumi, it just seemed like it was dragging out, slower and slower. Luckily, now she had food though, to fill the gap, and maybe distract her for a little bit after Yomi left. The smell of the dumplings alone was enough to make her mouth water, but patience was a virtue. Too bad Akumi's young and reckless mind still had little patience.

The ANUB checked into the prison complex, it was standard procedure for all guest and staff to sign in and out when entering and leaving, a few weeks had passed since Akumi was taken into her custody and like she had promised both Umashi and her brother she was being treated well by all of those in the complex even though it went against the basic teaching of the ANBU to let a Missing Ninja enter the village. She made her way through the winding corridors of dull concrete towards the cell that Akumi was being held in, she had brought with her a basic meal and some tea which she placed through the hatch in the cell door before taking a seat in front of the Ninja.

"Greetings Akumi, I hope that the staff have been treating you well and that you are being cared for?" She looked down at the file that she had brought with her, it contained details of both the women in front of her as well as the man that she left with. "Unfortunately I am going to have to ask you a few questions. Firstly what made you come back to Leaf?" Yuki placed one leg over the other and rested the file on her thigh waiting for her what the females response would be.

Yomi nodded as she listened to Akumi's response. The Medical Sennin had no doubt that Baba was alive, she only wished that Akumi had more information to provide. Takeshi had not provided any updates yet as to his progress in his search. Perhaps he was coming up just as empty. At least Akumi being here made Takeshi's search a more focused one, seeing as he'd no longer have to seek out leads on two people instead of one. This bode well for more information on Baba even if it meant that they had to start from scratch. Either was Yomi's little trip here was a bust, but it was good to see Akumi safe. Her being safe would lend a peace of mind to Tamashii who had already gone through so much already. This was the silver lining in the whole situation.

"I'm glad that you are well. I only wish that I knew where my Baba was." Yomi gave Akumi a reassuring smile even though she knew the girl couldn't possibly be feeling all that good being locked in a tiny cell.

"I'm sure they'll have this all sorted very soon, between your brother and ANBU and the Hokage. Just sit tight. Thank you for speaking with me, but, I have to go now." Yomi gave her a slight nod of the head before walking in the direction of the Hyuuga. Once arriving she would inform Yukio that she was done with Akumi and that he could return to his post.

Akumi looked at Yomi, she seemed to be disappointed that AKumi couldn't give any more information. Or at least that's how Akumi saw it, but it seems like Baba hasn't been captured yet. She wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing, Baba would fight if he was confronted, and that always spelled bad news. Baba had probably done a lot of "bad things" while he was away, crimes in which he'll have to stand trial for. Or maybe they'd just lock him away for the safety of others. Who knew, if the Hokage and Tamashii weren't there, Akumi could have been treated much worse. She expected to be treated like a prisoner, and she knew fully that she wasn't gonna be able to just walk out without any consequences.

Yomi's words made Akumi feel better, she definitely hoped things would smooth out. I am sorry I couldn't give you any leads. Akumi stated, then she gave a smile and a wave. "Thank you for the dumplings, and I wish you well, Yomi." She stated, as the woman left. Akumi was curious who Yomi was, but she'd find out eventually. All she could assume she was a High ranking nin, what her title exactly was, Akumi would have to find out after she was done here.

Once Yomi was gone, Akumi decided to eat the dumplings before they became any colder. Either way, these probably would taste better than the bland prison food they had to offer.

A few weeks went by, it felt like months, maybe years. Akumi spent most of her time making up stories about the guards she saw. Who was having an affair with who, and which one of them secretly had a dream about being a dancer. Though they were all ANBU, so they didn't speak much, or anything but make sure nobody got out. It was boring, but at least she wasn't being tossed around, thanks to her brother and the Hokage. She has had some visitors here and there, she didn't expect to have many, she kinda thought she wouldn't one since this is a prison.

Ah, but at last, another person had come in to see her. It took her a moment to realize that it was the Head Anbu, well what she could assume was the head. She doubted she would ever truly know, Anbu were secretive after all. She had brought her a basic meal, better than starving, so she couldn't complain. Akumi was already sitting in front of the cell door (Assuming its a barred cell and not a solid metal door). So once the food was slid through, all Akumi had to do was lean forward, and take the food.

"Hello again." Akumi stated, it was hard to guess if this was the same woman from before, her voice sounded the same at least. "I have been treated as well as a prison can treat their prisoners." She simply stated, it had been a very uneventful few week.

Akumi wondered when she would be questioned, and the first question was a personal one. Well with this start Akumi could only assume all of the questions, or at least most, would be personal. "I came back because I missed my brother, I missed home. And before you ask, yes I thought I could stay away, I didn't have plans to come back to Leaf when I left." Akumi explained. Though it was just her being childish, running away, and then coming back after she found it was not what she thought it would be. Akumi didn't want to admit that, but she also couldn't deny what happened. She was gone for months, close to a full year.

It seemed that nothing was going her way. The paper work for processing Akumi's release had been lost, shredded, or never even filed. It was frustrating for Yomi to have to make a personal appearance at the Correctional Facility, but, lately, she was always frustrated as nothing seemed to be working out in her favor. At least, she could be the one to make sure that something worked out for someone else.

Standing in her official robes and that big ugly hat, she signed some release forms in from of some nameless prison guard as he ensured her that they would be filed properly this time. It didn't matter though, she was here to take Akumi out at this very moment. Another guard hurried to accompany her to Akumi's cell, removing all the traps and locks associated when a crafty shinobi was being held against their will.

"Akumi." Yomi said, her tone even as ever. "You've been released into my custody." She pulled off that ugly hat and looked into her eyes.

"We have much to discuss...Let us go." Yomi would turn on her heel and make her way out of the facility, knowing that Akumi would follow. No real reason for her to stick around in prison after all.

Akumi heard some footsteps from down the hall, someone else was coming. When she looked it was the Hokage? (this scene is after Tama visits Akumi to avoid time paradox) He was shorter than she remembered but had a familiar chakra presence, it wasn't quite the same, at first glance she thought it was him with the robes and all, but no, he was gone. So this was someone taking his place, most likely temporarily, But the she spoke, a very familiar voice.

"Y-Yomi?" Akumi questioned, but The woman was in a rush. As fast as she came in was as fast as she was trying to go out. Akumi stood, and walked with her. She was glad she was released, but she was curious about Yomi, she was the Hokage now. At least she was getting things done, and it felt like it was going smooth. This time, AKumi served her time, the Anbu lady couldn't stop the Hokage from taking Akumi this time.

Akumi nodded to Yomi and walked with her. "Thank you Yomi-sama." She said simply, there was no need to say anymore or question what was going on. Akumi would find out, and if it was need to know business, then Akumi would do what it would take to reinstate herself in the village. AKumi didn't bother to look back at the prison, she didn't want to get stuck in there again.
