Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

One after another, a total of six shadows moved behind him like swift predators. Tensai himself moved without hindrance, nimbly navigating the treetop branches with a casual expression. He had found himself on the wrong side of Kumogakure, and three people along with their companions wanted to make sure he knew that. The three young men, the first three shadows, appeared rugged and feral. They somehow had nails that were more akin to claws, and cuspids sharper than Tensai's own. The leader of the trio wore beads around his neck, which rattled along with the rustling leaves and thumping footsteps against thick branches.

Crossing his arms for a moment and jutting them outwards moments after allowed Tensai's weapons to unravel. The long red wires and metallic arrowheads glistened as they ripped through the foliage, reflecting what little of the sun's light made it through the lush canopies. Just as he yanked the wire back towards himself, the three slightly smaller shadows emerged as dark colored wolves. It was Tensai's assumption that each of the canines belonged to a humanoid master. The tugging motion Tensai had pulled off moments before allowed the arrowheads to arc tightly back towards his body, simultaneously shielding himself from any fast approaching enemies. Suddenly he could hear what sounded like heavy chops as metal grooved through nature in his direction, twisting just in time Tensai avoided a shuriken to the face.

Before allowing himself to fall backwards through the trees with the same unabashed expression, he flung out the wire and metal. The sound of steel piercing flesh and then spinning within and breaking out the other side was indescribable as Tensai hit his targets shoulder and pierced through. Pulling back he tugged the arrowhead back through the shoulder, and consequently slammed the same man's face into the dirt...All before quickly spinning in the air and landing almost silently and speeding onward. The wolves had his scent, so it wasn't as if he'd lose them any time soon.

Hanako had heard the sound of loud growls, snarling, and fast paced footsteps running off deeper into the forest, Then she heard what had sounded like someone was being attacked. If someone was being attacked by what had in fact caused the growling she had to step in and stop them. She smirked as she quickly and nimbly jumped skillfully into a tree to get a better view of the situation.

What she eventually saw was a young boy trying to fight off 6 separate attackers, three of which were humanoid and the others seemed to be their pet wolves. “Jeez who the heck keeps beasts like those as pets ?” she said lowly so that no one could hear her, she wanted to see if this boy actually needed her help and if he didn’t she obviously wouldn’t intervene.

After a few moments of watching the battle she knew that the boy was clearly outmatched and she obviously didn’t want the boy to be caught up in an unfair fight. Looking around the clearing as the boy suddenly gets surrounded by his assailants she smirks and looks around for the best place to land that would give her fighting access to. ‘That will do just right’ She says with a light laugh and she jumps out of the tree in front of the boy and his followers. “You shouldn’t gang up on people like that you know” Hanako said as her shadow shot forth and gathered up all the shadow energy around the area and surrounds herself, the assailants and their pets inside a bubble of shadow energy. All that could be heard outside was the sound of a blade rending flesh and then the sound of bodies falling to the ground. As the bubble lowers Hanako looks over to the kid “You Ok over there?” she asked him

He moved like a snake through short grass, weaving through nature's obstacles at impressive speed for his ranking. His long garments slipped over the terrain ghostly pale shadows, meanwhile the boy barely evaded metallic projectile after metallic projectile. Kunai and Shuriken managed to lodge themselves in the bark of trees, often within an inch or less away from some portion of his body. They were closing the gap with the aid of their superior stamina, and Tensai was running out of evasive maneuvers. In what might have been a desperate move, the young man kicked off a nearby tree to steer himself sharply to the right.

Clearing a minimum of seven feet or so, he was launched towards the trunk of a monolithic-size tree. Landing in a vertical crouching position, he'd push off with his left hand to propel himself in a downward slide. In rapid succession, several Shuriken dug into the bark an inch or two above his head repeatedly as he descended with gravity as his primary ally. With a small hop, he landed in a roll before scrambling to his feet. Quickly spinning forward and swinging out his right hand, Tensai formed an almost transparent and ethereal orb of clear energy that he hurled towards his opponents up above. "They...They're really trying to kill me...Aren't they?" He thought to himself in an almost detached way. His attack missed entirely.

He didn't want to die, that much he knew for a fact. He had too much to live for even if that had meant little more than his mother and siblings. Finding out where his Granduncle had gone was now a priority, and solving that mystery wouldn't be an option any longer if he got himself killed. Still, he knew that he was clearly outmatched, and it was only a matter of time before they got to him. "This fucking sucks..." Were the three words that stood out the most in his thoughts at that moment, and no longer than the internal monologue had been cut short did he find himself at a dead end. Blocked by what appeared to be a mountainside and surrounded by a thick veil of trees.

Despite coming to a sliding stop, his hands were still used to brace against the mountainside's rocky surface. A sudden and sharp pain shot through the lower half of his left leg, and red hot pain seared his nerves as that same leg was tugged backwards abruptly. Catching himself with his hands, he prevented his face slamming into the floor and then managed to look over his shoulder, and see what was one of the three wolves locked onto his leg. Blood was flowing, but a lot more would if the wolf's teeth tore out a chunk of flesh. His left hand would swipe the air inches away from the canine's face, causing a razor sharp blade of wind to flash across one of the wolf's eyes. The beast let go and whimpered in pain before scrambling back to his allies who were now closing in on Tensai's position. "What a stupid way to die."

Then suddenly, there was a gust of wind and the sound of feet landing before him. He saw a girl, quite a few years earlier than himself, likely in her teens. She dropped a classy one-liner prior to summoning the shadows from everywhere, causing them to form a spherical prison for all of Tensai's pursuers. Flesh and bone being shredded by a razor-shape edge echoed sickeningly before the mangled remained dropped and splattered all over the ground. The older girl asked about his well-being immediately, as if concerned, as if she hadn't just torn a total of six lives from their world in less than a few seconds. "...Yea." Was all he managed, a somewhat exhausted and annoyed expression haunting his face.

Looking at the gore had a strange effect on him, but rather than be repulsed, sickened, or frightened by it, there was a certain level of intrigue. In silence he'd simply loiter there for a while, his irises turning to a sort of hazelnut while the corneal overlay became almost liquid-like in their appearance. Quickly, the liquefied-seeming portion churned in a clockwise position before his eyes turned a darker shade of brown that looked more normal and settled on it. His pupils shifted back towards the girl's eyes, his own only half-opened with dullness. "I appreciate what you've done for me, I really do, but now we've got a bigger problem..." His soft and slightly raspy voice would reveal all. "You...Just killed three Genin, you do realize this, don't you?" There wasn't a lot of sarcasm in his tone, but merely a displaying of facts in a manner that suggested he needed a second opinion on what just happened. "Never mind the fact that you're a foreigner..."

What he meant, was the fact that he knew how most of the village's standard laws worked. The young lady's actions alone might have given her away as a stranger, but there were other details that hammered the fact in more. What that whole thing really meant, was that he knew...He knew, that if he wasn't being followed right at that moment it would only be a matter of time before some scout was tailing her. The village didn't tolerate skirmishes between their own Shinobi in anywhere except for designated areas, much less a foreign guest slaughtering their Genin in one fell swoop. The explanation any of them could give to the Anbu or anyone else would be insufficient, for if the girl was strong enough to destroy them all in one move, she was powerful enough to simply incapacitate them with just as little effort. "Damn it..." He cursed under his breath. He leaned back against the tree, and looked upwards before reaching for the sky as it hid behind the forest's leaves.

The sound of his shoulder popping was loud and clear, and the leg which had been bitten into struggled only slightly to support his weight with the help of the tree. After a few moment, the pain would really start to set in but at this point Tensai only saw what needed to be done, and that meant pushing through the pain without any complaints too. It annoyed him that not only was he about to die a most pathetic death before reaching even a small portion of his goals, but the fact that the person who helped him more or less just signed her own death or prisoner's warrant for him without realizing it. Somewhere earlier during the chase his keffiyeh had been the only thing to get snagged by a tree, fallen and lost. So his white hair was simply open for viewing.

The gears inside his mind began to twist and turn, grinding against each other to produce ideas and connect possible solutions to themselves. While he was doing that, he also busied himself by letting the outer robes fall to his waist. The torso portion had been loose and free while the arms were spacious and long. Using the blade and wire, now visibly coiled around one of his forearms, he'd cot the sleeves and begin wrapping up the wound on his leg to stop the bleeding. There was very little reaction to he pain he was causing himself in the process, perhaps a small grit of the teeth here or a squinting of the eye there. By the time he was finished, a minute or two would have passed and he knew that if she'd been followed then her tail would have acted by now. Which meant they had time.

Hanako looked at the boy behind her for a moment as the sickening pop sound crossed her ears."Did you really have to just do that? That sounds weird!." she said as she shook her head and turned around to see his face, her brown hair waving in the wind her size seeming about the same as his even though it wasn't likely that they were the same age. "So why were these bullies chasing you anyway....Oh and Im not sure but this might be yours." she tossed a piece of cloth that she had found hanging on a tree off in the forest, she wasn't sure if it actually was his.

As the girl's voice broke the silence, first with disgust and then an inquiry, he looked at her for a moment. Standing full and straight, he'd give a small shrug. "One of their friends stole one of my sisters' belonging's, so I got it back." His irises shifted their color to that of a slate grey. "Those three didn't like me taking from one of their clan members, and the rest is history I suppose..." In one of his pockets, remained his sister's hidden trinket. The more he thought about it, the more he figured that the trio would have killed him and gotten away with it if they could...Likely let the wolves devour his corpse. His nose wrinkled at the thought.

"We have to get rid of this." He groaned while moving forward, limping just a little from the wound in his leg. Running through a few seals, summoning large flask. He began pouring it all over the areas that were covered in blood and gore. The oil would cover much of the area, and apparently any visible trace of the slaughter. The process wasn't a fast one, since his leg was injured but after a few minutes it was done. "Step back." Were his only warning as he shuffled away, to eventually turn around and form seals and blow fire about the oily environment. Quickly, the oil began to burn and flames desecrated the remains in ways that would make them unidentifiable, what wouldn't turn to smoldering ash anyhow. Standing there for a few seconds, he'd turn to the young woman. "You should go before someone comes to check it out, the smoke will bring attention." With that, he began to limp away. The piece of cloth she had found, surprisingly enough, did not belong to him.

"Wait what are you doing!" she yelled as she saw him pull out the flask and wondered what it was that he was pouring on those bodies. "That...better not be What i think it is." she said as she looked at the boy for a moment as he went through a group of hand seals and starts to shoot a blast of fire out of his mouth that lit everything on fire. "Hey now you want to burn down this forest too!" She screamed as she tried to contain the fire but the area was too well lit now and she couldn't contain it with shadows. “ Well that doesn’t work how am I going to stop this bloody inferno…….Hey get back here!” she called out as she had noticed that the kid who was here before had run off and was nowhere to be found. “Now where is he off to in such a hurry? Doesn’t he know that he should at least help me clean up this whole mess I mean it is partially his fault too isn’t it.” Hanako said with a pissed off look on her face. For a few moments she thought and came to a conclusion. She needed to get out of there as the boy himself had done but she didn’t want to leave this fire burning because that would end up causing the forest to catch fire and she would obviously get blamed. Then it came to her, she knew exactly what she had to do. Doing a few quick hand seals she submerged the entire area in a swamp-like terrain and ran off pleased with herself.
