Red. Liquid. Hot. Metallic... Blood dripped from Uxiruru's bony, bruised knuckles like a leaky faucet. It dripped from his nose, elbow, knee and side too. There were probably a hundred small, well mostly small, splatters beneath his feet. Red droplets and smears. The muscles in his arms were shaking and twitching from overuse and from exertion of beating his opponent literally to a bloody mess. The right side of his face was throbbing from the return hits he'd received. What had started off as a friendly spar had turned into all out war between two peers.

Smiling, the virus rubbed the back of his hand across his face, dragging blue lipstick in a smudge across his cheek where it mingled with the crimson from his nostrils. "You're pretty good for an old man, shouganai."

His opponent spat out a tooth and grinned. "Better than you."

Uxirusu loved fighting. He could let go of everything when he fought. He didn't think about his mother with blue face and red, bulging dead eyes. He didn't think about his wife and the ashy white of her skin as life fled her body, leaving him broken and alone. He didn't even think about the noose that had ended the man responsible for their deaths and how it robbed him of knowing the whole truth of that night... or the vengeance he could never attain.

No, he could focus when he fought. He could focus on the red. With a powerful push off, Uxi kicked away from his stationary post and rocketed toward his sparring partner. He twisted down, putting a hand onto the ground and swung his left leg around, gaining momentum and slammed his foot into the raised arm of the older man. It hit like a ton of bricks, knocking the man off his feet and tumbling head over heels once before he found his footing again.

But Uxirusu was on him already, pursuing the next attack. This time he didn't strike with just the blunt ferocity and strength of an angry bull, he went for precision too. With a quick and direct thrust of the heel of his palm, Uxi connected with the man's solar plexus. The other man crumbled down, holding his damaged middle, lost for breath and was thrown backwards a few feet where he skidded to a halt gasping for air. The move was rudimentary perhaps, but direct, powerful and without a wasted movement.

"H-holy hell, that was l-low, Uxi." The other man muttered, dribbling a bit while he gasped for air.

The 28 year old jounin stood up then, coming to his regular full height and relaxed his stance while his partner recovered. The skin on his knuckles was no longer bleeding and was beginning to itch as the wounds healed slowly, yet much faster than a normal rate. Uxi could recover from minor wounds over time during a battle. It was a handy ability that he thought either came from some genetic trait or maybe some subconscious use of his chakra. Either way, he couldn't help but scratch his quickly sealed wounds with his longish nails. He needed to cut those...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but with the ruling I only have to RP for my branch ability and not for my shinobi 101 ability? The rules only mention needing to rp for branch stuff. If so, activating Shinobi 101 - Taijutsu as well.

Being on duty wasn't always a fun task. Sitting at the sisters, however, was better than sitting at the brothers on guard duty. Though he prefered the excitement of hunting down rogue shinobi or even (and it only happened once thus far) an execution of a traitor to the village, Uxirusu didn't always mind the mindless guard post. He was known to finish a crossword puzzle or two. For now, though, Uxirusu sat quietly, watching the dark waves crash up against the cliff edges.

The salty air was so familiar to him, he hardly took notice of it. Salt and fish. It was basically hand in hand But there was something else there, something that didn't belong. While one might not pay the salty, stinky sea air any really notice, you could always tell when there was something different on the air.

When he appeared, Uxirusu knew it. He could smell the taint on him. With years of practice, he descended upon the invader, stopping his entry to the village faster than many others of his rank would have done. He was a self proclaimed sentinel of the walls. The other was a tall man, not so tall as Uxi, but mighty in stature and large. However, when attacked the ANBU unprompted, he did not do so with physical assault. He commanded a bind to latch down upon Uxi's arms. At first it caught, drawing a smile from the man's thin lips, but Uxi channeled his chakra through his arms and broke himself free of his bind.

The start of the other's face was enough for Uxi to begin a counter attack. Normally he would have just spoken to the man, but his attack upon the wall guardian meant he wouldn't hold back.

The next ninjutsu shot toward Uxi he dodged, slipping along the outside edge of the water spray he'd directed at him and landed a solid punch on the man's jaw, sending him flying backward. He barely noticed the second person, just a second before she attacked him as well. How had he missed her?

She hadn't set off his alarms, that's why. She was a village traitor...

Since she was much smaller in body, slight of build and seeming weak of muscle, her attack came in the form of a genjutsu. Uxi's world began to blur and swirl. The colors twisted and mixed, not unlike a painter's palette. He knew it was only seconds away from the chance for the first attacker to run him through, so he backpeddled swiftly and raised his hands, pressing them together with his two first fingers raised. "Kai!" he grunted, using the cancel jutsu. Though her genjutsu was strong, his genjutsu release technique was strong as well. At once his world was back in focus. Still, it wasn't quick enough to avoid the next blow.

The male had brandished a large hammer which landed solidly into the side of his face. He was thankful instantly for the mask as it took the majority the attack, though the spot on his cheekbone beneath it would be bruised badly. There was a pain shooting down his neck from the movement and the pain only increased his rage. What they didn't know was when Uxi was hurt, he fought harder and better. He had that sort of hidden power about him.

He went for the kill on both of them at once. Pulling a kunai from either side, he waited for the next attack, dodged it with dancer like skill and threw either blade away from himself. The first impaled itself into the man's sternum and the second went right through the girl's eyesocket. Both villains fell to the ground, dead.
