Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

[fontsize="12"]A ninja who is one with the sky is incredibly attuned to the elements of lightning. Their lightning jutsu are much more potent than the average shinobi, and they gain additional effects when they use them.

Lightning Absorption<i></i> - Passive (3 points)
Restriction- B Rank and up
Sky ninja with this ability are so attuned to lightning that most lightning attacks don’t even hurt them, and many weaker currents actually heal them. The slightest touch of a lightning bolt becomes a refreshing jolt of energy to one with this skill.
Effect: E-D Rank lightning jutsu heal the user for that much HP instead of damage. Take only 85% damage from C-Rank lightning jutsu and 90% damage from B-Rank lightning jutsu.

Shocking Current<i></i> - Passive (2 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up
Sky ninja who have this ability enhance their lightning jutsu to have lingering effects of stunning properties. The enemy moves much slower under this effect, their movements impeded, makingthem easier to hit.
Effect: Lightning jutsu have a 30% chance to impart a -1 dodge penalty for 3 rounds. This effect stacks up to 3 times; stacking does not renew old penalty timers.

Path of Raiden - Modification (3 points)
Restriction- Requires a Minor in Lightning
A true master of lightning and thunder, Raiden was able to control the elements and wield them through his weapon with amazing strength. The user does the same with their lightning jutsu, increasing the damage that they do when channeled jutsu are cast their their weapon.
Effect: When using the elemental affinity move "Channeling", weapon strikes deals 150 Lightning damage per hit as well as it's normal damage. Strikes with this weapon count as lightning damage while this technique is active. All strikes with this weapon give the target a 4% chance of paralysis when performing actions, for three rounds. When Chakra Extension is active, all hits deal an additional +10% on partial hits. When weapon strikes miss by1, lightning damage equal to 30% of the weapon's base damage is dealt to the opponent.

Charge<i></i> - Boost (1 point) *3
Restriction- May only be purchased up to three times.
Being more skilled with lightning jutsu than others, naturally their lightning jutsu do more damage. Their inner thunder seems to crackle outwardly when this skill is mastered, marking their skill with it.
Effect: +5% Lightning Damage

Static<i></i> - Passive (2 Points)
The electricity coursing through their bodies almost all the time has the potential to stun those with the misfortune to be hit by them. Beware when attacking at melee range; the voltage sparking through a Sky ninja can be quite shocking.
Effect: With any melee attack by the user, there is a 10% chance to inflict paralysis on the target, causing -1 AP usable for the next round. Effect does not stack on the same target more than once a round.

Electromagnetic Pulse<i></i> - Dependent Special Move (2 Points)
Restriction- Must have three lightning jutsu mastered.
Storing and releasing lightning energy at a later time is one thing, but sometimes you just need to hit everything, right now. This technique of the Sky nin has the added bonus of potentially stunning the opponent even without Shocking Current.
Effect: By increasing the chakra cost of a Lightning Ninjutsu by +20% CP, a lightning jutsu can be converted into an area of effect pulse that strikes up to three targets chosen by the user, inflicting +10% damage with an increased +5% chance to stun/paralyze/etc.

Thunder Armor - Independent Special Move (2 points)
Restriction- C Rank and Up, Three mastered Lightning jutsu
Immune to weaker Lightning attacks and resistant to stronger, Sky nin can also use their lightning power to build up a shocking shield around themselves. Anyone who draws near to them will feel a static shock, electricity coursing through them at an attempt to strike.
Effect: The user creates a shield of lightning around their body for 1000 CP and 1.5 AP. While it remains active, all melee attacks against the user do 20% recoil buffable lightning damage to the attacker and have a 20% chance to cause stun. Stunning causes -1 dodge for three rounds and cannot stack more than twice per target. Chance to stun stacks with Shocking Current, but the two combined cannot impart more than -4 dodge at once per target. Costs 300 CP/round to maintain.

Chain Lightning<i></i> - Jutsu (1 point, 1 to rank up) *2
Restriction- A-Rank and up
This fearsome lightning attack summons a powerful bolt of lightning that leaps from enemy to enemy until it runs out of power, wreaking havoc in large groups.
Rank 1: Deals 4000 damage at +1 accuracy, then randomly jumps to another enemy or metallic object within 15ft of the initial target, dealing 600 less damage at 2 less accuracy. Repeat this process until the bolt misses or deals no damage.
Rank 2: Deals 4500 damage at +2 accuracy, then randomly jumps to another enemy or metallic object within 20ft of the initial target, dealing 800 less damage at 2 less accuracy. Repeat this process until the bolt misses or deals no damage.
Cost: 3500 chakra and 3 AP

Custom Class: Interesting requirements for this. We need you to make a 100 WC post, saying why you want to change your class. (28 so far). You also need to sacrifice a week of training, as in post somewhere for a training, then post in your training logs your sacrifice. Also as a note, you get +5 to each stat for being above B rank.

In his youth, Shoma trained and tweaked,... and trained and tweaked. Even as a teen-ager, he was a dedicated, sinlge-minded, and obedient individual. Every morning Shoma would work on his stance, his form and his stroke. And for a year he did this with twig, sticks, and branch in the stead of the sword entrusted to him. Shoma's sword was ordered by his master to remain in it's sheath for a full year to show that he the discipline to obey his master and respect for the weapon entrusted to him.
After the first year, he was rewarded with his first glance at the blade of the sword handed to him. It was a very brief display of the edge but, more importantly it was proof of progress and trust. After much training and rehearsal with the limbs of trees, typically two to three months, he would be allowed just one swing of the sword. With daily practice his moves would become more swift and would flow more easily. Alongside his training, he would meditation on the lore and legends he had been told by his master. Although he heard many, one in particular interested him most. Shoma concluded than great, no, untold speed and power would be needed to achieve the ability to move things beyond the reach of his branch or blade.
With this in mind, he pursued unparalleled speed. He rehearsed his many of his movements one hundred times a day, engraving the master's teachings into his muscle memory. Once he felt his movements and forms were fluid enough, he would then push himself to perform these techniques faster,... the speed of an empty hand, then faster than the eye could see, then the speed of thought. First would be the stroke, the extension of the weapon, then the return into the stance, afterward his would combine the two, and in conclusion would ponder way and methods to tweak his performance even more.
The result of his efforts, Shoma would be unable to wield sticks at his full potential. Any stick in his hands would either snap from powerful whiplash or be set ablaze due to friction burn. And at times, loud cracks and pops could be heard as he swung his weapon. Upon achieving this, his master deemed Shoma worthy of full ownership of the blade he was entrusted with, for Shoma had earned the respect not only of his master, but formed a bond and mutual respect with the blade as well.
Over the years however, Shoma has learned that there was more to combat than swinging a sword. With the desired level of speed achieved with the swing of a sword, Shoma incorporated other movements into his daily exercises, using similar methods he had previously used. Day after day, his own body became more and more like a weapon itself. Yet, he pushes on until he could make real the very legend, of the samurai who through determination and will, could split the clouds in the sky.

It helped him place the location intended for the strike. The steps along with the stroke were strategic. It reminded him of another lore his master taught him where a great samurai played upon the instinctive reactions of his opponent. This reaction led to openings that allowed for more precise strokes to the limbs. This were attacks that disable the foe while defending, without needlessly trading a blow and hoping to survive.

The result of his efforts, Shoma would be unable to wield sticks at his full potential. Any stick in his hands would either snap from powerful whiplash or be set ablaze due to friction burn. And at times, loud cracks and pops could be heard as he swung his weapon. Another trick he learned was that, by reflecting light off his blade, he could subconsciously suggest images to those that are close enough to see the glare. Through these different capabilities, Shoma began to understand the importance of the lore and legend shared with him.

Over the years however, Shoma has learned that there was more to combat than swinging a sword. With the desired level of speed achieved with the swing of a sword, Shoma incorporated other movements into his daily exercises, using similar methods he had previously used. By linking them together, day after day, his own body became more and more like a weapon itself. There are many diverse scrolls that are found in the Masuda Library. These scrolls are actually designed to lead and instruct those who would read and heed their words, the capacity to unlock dormant abilities of physical, mental, and spiritual wonder. Many of these abilities vary from person to person, for there are none who truly alike in all ways. Yet, many share the inner paths that lay untapped. Shoma's mediation serves to observe himself in hopes of finding which paths are his in truth. What are the areas he would excel in? What were his true in-born strengths for they at what will lead him to his goal.

The way of Shoma's sword was not the way of his master's. Though the techniques belonged to the Elder Master, Grandfather to Masuda Ava, the teacher pushed Shoma to make his own observation. Each sparring session was the equivalent of a riddle presented before the then young samurai in training. It was up to the Otandai to remain disciplined through daily practice and discover the means to improve technique through meditation and self discovery. These things combine with to ever growing respect of the blade was meant to guide an individual to a external stronger self through mental and spiritual control.

Only through strengthening of one's will could one extend themselves beyond their flesh. What did this mean? Those who sought to master their weapon, practice extensively to meld with it, to become one with it, that it may be an extension of one's self. To some, weapon would be in true harmony with the one who wielded it. However to those who have reached higher levels understanding and greater fortitude of focus and self control, an item, yea even a weapon can be moved even just beyond the reach of the finger tips. To stretch the will and the spirit so, it is taxing, for the opening of the mind's dormant regions whilst it still maintains the body's needed functions is stressful. The juggling of such tasks as movement beyond reach can cause imitate functions to be held in place or forgotten for a time. How long can the body go without breath. If blood is kept from the eyes and sight remain, or from the finger tips and grip be possible?

Only the truest masters of self have been able to maintain intently this task, an Olimpian of the soul. To command and mentally keep the body afloat second after second. But rare are those who could.... Then could this knowledge not be applied to battle? If the will could extend beyond the self, could one not make suggestions to the mind of another? What if, if but for a moment, the heart of an opponent skipped a beat? Or what if, in the excitement of battle, they forgot to breath? One's will inside the body of another would act as poison of a vile kind. But this kind of strength can be tamed, used in a less deadly fashion. What of the chakra system the Shinobi have come to rely on so heavily? To subdue an opponent by severing the source of his potential aggression. Is there not wisdom in this? Is there not mercy?

Humanity is now in a time where things thought impossible are achieved daily. Many have acquired power beyond their understanding. Like children with knifes they run about the lands. But like a knife can be disarmed from a child, so too can a person without understanding be disarmed of the use of chakra. There are no weapons greater than knowledge. Yet, there are no wielder's greater than understanding.

Over the extent of his life, Shoma learned the value of a strong offense. It is something that comes natural to those take up the sword, at least to those who call themselves Samurai. Life and death are often decided in a second on the battlefield, and it is far easier to defend one's life if the the opponent was too concerned with holding on to theirs. If a foe could not fight, they could no longer threaten your life. But that mindset,... It is very basic, almost if not barbaric. While mediating, Shoma recalls his training with Grand Master Masuda, he always saw himself attacking, Master Masuda always defending. Grand Master Masuda, the swordsman's master defending. 'Why was this?' Shoma thinks. Shoma has always saw himself as a man of little worth, especially when compared to the Masuda name. But as he is currently charged to care for Masuda Ava, he must do his best to bring her to a level of mastery that his envisions would please his teacher. In this way, maybe, he could have worth. Perhaps even enough worth to be a valuable guardian for the Forrest God after this life is over.

But their is still this life. 'So what is the value of defense? It preserves one's life and health. It preserves the life and health of another other as well. It requires an exercise of the mind. It demonstrates patience and self-control. It is the way of a true master.' Yet, Shoma never thought of himself as a master, only a student and servant. But if he is to see the Young Masuda become a master, he must live in good health to do so. He must become a master to better guide his student. It is now time for Shoma to change his position, to become a defender like his master was to him.
