Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

For a certain fact they were no longer in Kansas . . . or Konoha for that matter. Entering the Port City, Umashi allowed his team to rest for a day before continuing on. Having been raised in even worse conditions he wasn't a slave driver and even he wanted to get a souvenir or two. Advising his team to keep their identities relatively hidden, they couldn't deny being from the Fire Country but the last thing that they wanted to do was draw undue attention to the fact that they were from Konohagakure before they had a chance to make it to Kumogakure. Quite possibly the most "ninja" part of their mission, staying low-key would probably prove harder for more than most shinobi in this day and age of super "S" rank planet-altering ninjutsu. Checking in an inn, Umashi ordered food and drink, meat and mead, for himself. He was supposed to be on a ketogenic diet according to the village nutritionist and it certainly helped that he'd just hiked halfway up the Eastern coast. Nope, no salads for the Hokage today. All of them were to share a room for the night . . . despite his personal code of putting females in compromising positions. He wondered if Sara would find it patronizing if he paid her a bit more when it was all said and done because of this.

Indeed, the party of shinobi from the Land of Konoha had arrived on the shores of the Land of lightning; a mountainous region named for its thunderous winter storms. The party’s point of arrival was Port Cirrus; an industrial merchant harbor much akin to his hometown of Maruishi, the metropolitan capital of the Land of Earth. Walking the streets, Kaji felt at home in streets full of fisheries hauling in the day’s catch, and auctioneer’s drawing a big crowd to sell shipments of goods. Blending in here would be easy to Kaji; and for most of his companions, who were experienced travelers as well… except for Tatsuo, but he wasn’t likely to encounter a problem, here of all places.

As all weary travelers need after a long stint of adventure, the leaves in the wind settled down would settle for anything with four walls and a warm fire; however, they came up much better with a hospitable inn not far from the harbor. Leading the way was Umashi, who had quite an appetite and was putting the cook through her paces. Kaji followed and found a lively evening in the works. There was a warm stone fire pit in the center of the main hall, with a few patrons kicking it. Some sailors from a local ship were betting on a game of cards, with gold yen pieces strewn about the table. A traveling entertainer with six arms was playing three instruments at once, completing the atmosphere.

The first thing Kaji did upon splitting off was seeking a tailor who held a room at the end and bartered with him for a thick bearskin cloak, with leather gloves and boots. The tailor gouged him out of gold for it all. Unwilling to freeze in the frigid land of lightning, Kaji spent that bread leaving two dozen gold yen pieces behind.

After losing more gold than he desired, Kaji joined the sailors playing cards and was dealt into the following game. "Deal me in, boys," he said before joining the pursuit for gold. He set down three gold pieces and planned on making back everything he spent with the tailor. Before long a waitress put a flagon of stout beer into his hand, and the chase was one.

Tatsuo had not said a word since the Hokage's denial of his plea. Had he known he was just going to have to attend more school he would have stayed at home. Tatsuo unfortunately was not mature enough to realize that this could be a learning opportunity, he only saw the lack of fun he would have in class. To him it was supposed to be an adventure, but now it was just another day in the leaf, but cold. Tatsuo did not know his companions well, nor did they know him well, at least he thought perhaps the Hokage kept dossiers on everyone in the village. Either he completely contrasting his usual behavior. While normally cheerful and excited, he was sullen and bored. Had anyone asked him any questions during their travel to the cloud itself, he would've just responded with a shrug or nod. Even if his companions didn't know his normal personality, they would be able to see him pouting. It was obvious he was not happy and he felt pretty bad about it.

As they made their way to the tavern, Tatsuo's silent protest did not stop. He made his way over to the bar, pointing at the board of something he'd want. It was a hot bowl of spicy fish soup, he would wait around his head bent down as he stared at his feet, kicking the ground near him. The other patrons in the bar may have thought the boy was recently orphaned for the look on his face. As his bowl of soup was handed to him. He took it, going to the farthest table in the corner and facing the wall as he ate by himself. Slowly sipping on his soup he would continue to keep to himself.

Finally they were in a town. A large portion of there journey had been completed, and she had a funny feeling that the last leg was going to be the hardest, yet shortest part of the journey. It was funny actually. For some reason, she thought this was the final part. The trip back never seemed to be a requisite for her. It was never part of the trip. Perhaps that was why things always went the way they did.

Sara wondered solo in the village for a time then met up with her compatriots back at the inn, as she strolled through the doorway, seeing everyone was doing there own thing. Sloth, gluttony and greed working there magic. The young girl walked straight to the bar, knowing exactly what to do in this situation. She had seen it in so many cartoons. She looked up at the towering bar and grabbed a hold of a seat, pulling herself up. She knelt on the stool and called for the bartender. "Hey! Hey you bartender." The man wondered over, "Wha'da'ya want?" The strong muscular man with a dragon tattoo and three o'clock shadow responded. She pounded her fist into the bar, " Get me the largest glass you have!" He looked around unsure for a moment and laughed, grabbing hold of a large clean mug he had. Sara finished as he put it down "Milk!" She paused unflinching, proud at her knowledge of the moment and execution.

Though their travel was long, Sara seemed as chipper as could be. For one traveling without a sleeping bag or a change of clothing, she sure seemed clean and energetic. They had traveled a distance, yet not a stain of sweat or a smudge of dirt could be found on her. Even during the cold nights outside, she didn't spend anytime in a tent, sticking to the cold and open night air, falling asleep looking at the stars as she laid on the grass looking up. It truly was strange, this small ball of energy that took the form of a girl. Even at night, one could swear she was radiant. She took on the wilderness, and seemed to be most fitted to it. Mastering the situation, worldly in the matter.

Sara had her ways of co-oping. Nothing got her down because she was always on cloud nine. Nothing in the outside world fazed her because nothing could touch her. What was metaphorical for most might have been quite literal for her, though was all happen stance. As well capable as she was at surviving, she might have been the most costly agent on this mission. There very own bad luck charm...

In the background of the tavern, you could hear the room almost come to a stillness, someone coughed, or at least it felt that way. You could almost feel some laughing a little in the background, perhaps everyone really, grinning at that moment, well, except maybe her companions.
