Taijutsu is the art of attacking with weapons and one's body. Taijutsu are slightly faster than Ninjutsu and Genjutsu, and cost less CP to use. However, they also contribute more to your exhaustion and do less damage to compensate, although it averages out to around the same in theory.
In order to use Taijutsu, you need a weapon--even for Unarmed! Weapons are created here, in your dojo. Weapons contribute damage and accuracy to your Taijutsu and can also be equipped with special boosts called augments. Augments have a variety of effects and can be purchased in the Shinobi Shop. In order to use an augment on more than one weapon at a time, you must purchase it separately each time.
Full augment rules can be found here. Information on specific augments can be found here.
The creation of a weapon is very simple. You simply post in your dojo thread for it, with no RP required. Weapons must be one of six types which determine the jutsu you use, and have their own accuracy and damage modifiers that add to your Taijutsu.
The six weapon types are Piercing, Slashing, Bludgeoning, Unarmed, Ranged, and Projectile. Ranged and Projectile weapons must choose whether they inflict bleeding (by being Piercing or Slashing subtype) or Suppression (by being Bludgeoning subtype). This does not give Ranged or Projectile weapons access to the jutsu of their subtype. Piercing, Slashing, Bludgeoning, and Unarmed weapons normally use Melee accuracy, while Ranged and Projectile weapons normally use Ranged accuracy.
Weapons can also be at five different levels of accuracy and damage. Each point of accuracy sacrificed is +5% damage, and vice versa, up to two. This means that weapons can be one of -2 accuracy/+10% damage, -1 accuracy/+5% damage, +0 accuracy/+0% damage, +1 accuracy/-5% damage, or +2 accuracy/-10% damage.
The actual design and RP of your weapon can be anything you like! You can choose to use a real weapon, use an unorthodox item as a weapon, or even design your own entirely. There are a few exceptions, however; you cannot use guns, missiles, or other things of a similar nature.
