It had been far too long since the last time Ri even thought about the clan he was supposed to join so long ago. When he and his sister went last time, they got no response and ended up going back home. His father didn't like that too much, and yelled at them for what seemed like hours for just giving up, but it had almost been a year since that time and he didn't mention it again for quite some time. Not until recently, anyway. The old man got on Ri's ass about not trying to speak with them again, and really only left him with one choice after a nice long speech early in the morning. Not even his generally hard working sister was up yet, which left the boy wondering how his father could be up... The reason didn't matter as much as he wanted it to, so Ri just ended up barging into his sleeping sister's room and pulling her out of bed.
"What the hell are you doing!?" The shinobi wasn't surprised about how pissed his sister was, she never liked doing anything with the family. Luckily for her, she might not have to ever again!
"Just shut up, we're going back." It didn't take anymore than that for Asu to understand what was going on, but it also didn't change her mood now that she'd been woken up so early.
"I can walk on my own!" She yelled, causing Ri to drop her leg and continue walking without looking back. On their way out the door, his father was already drinking while he read the paper.
"Later..." He mumbled after each one passed through the door.
The Susukino district was a long way from the Residential District, and it didn't help that both of them were taking their time, while one of them continuously tried to slip away from her evil brother. The sun rose at least an hour before the two left their home, but there still weren't many other people up and about. It was an off day for most workers, and the only other people doing anything on the streets were shinobi on patrol and stall owners. Asu would occasionally complain about little things Ri did, like his constant scowling or bad posture, but the boy did little more than ignore her harsh comments. After a little less than an hour of walking, the two arrive at the Nara Complex where they had been nearly a year ago. Ri stared at the impressive structure before him for a bit, until his younger sibling broke his concentration.
"Don't be an idiot like last time." She scolded. This girl really wasn't a nice person...
"Whatever." He mumbled, he knew if he let that crap get to him he might snap and kill the girl. Since yelling didn't seem to work the last time he visited the complex, the shinobi decided it would be a good idea to try a mixture of things. Ri approached the large door that lead into the complex and began banging on it. "Anybody home?" He shouted, hoping the banging would help more than just shouting like he did before.
His sister glared at him with the look she gives him all the time, one that just screamed "are you stupid?" The boy assumed that look would be given to him even before he started banging on the door, so there was no surprise when he turned around an saw it. "And now, we wait..." The boy mumbled as thoughts of whatever conversation might be had would go. His mind thought up good and bad results, but whatever happened, happened. He was going to go in assuming the worst might happen. Even if the worst was being sacrificed to Jashin. Which would just suck.
