Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Maru looked up at the gates of Kumo from outside of the walls, a cocky smirk spreading across his face knowing that this job might be thrilling. Since he couldn't get into the village through legal means it looks like breaking in was the only option. It wasn't that he needed to get in because he wanted to cause a little trouble.. But he needed a bit more information on where these bounties maybe hiding before hunting them down to get some money off of them, one in particular caught his eye and he wondered if he could manage to track the person he was hunting down through taking some info on where might this guy be. Maru was wearing a body he usually wears when he is doing a job as most thieves would call it. This body was dressed in all black, a black trench coat, dress shirt, ninja pants, and boots. He wore red gloves, with a black and white mask on similar to the mask you'll find in an English ballroom party. A crop of short and messy black hair hung down to the crooks neck, adjusting his gloves to make sure they were firmly on his hands.

Knowing now that his title of a mercenary is seriously looked down upon, he decided that he couldn't rely on citizens for help. From what it looks like, his eternal life will be him against the world… A lone wolf bounty hunter who’s only goal is to get enough money so he could hang his weapons and retire. That or he could give up on life, whichever comes first. Taking in a deep breath he smirked, keeping his poker face on like always.

“Alright. Let's give it a shot. Tried everything else didn't I?”

He said then he began to make a quick dash for the right to find another way in. Running along the path, he found a perfect path he could get in through so long as there weren't any guards up on the walls. Pulling out a grappling hook, he shot hook into the wall then began to zip through the air before flinging himself over the gate. As he stilled in the air the crook's grappling hook retracted, then he came down. Tucking and rolling he would then land on his feet as quiet as a mouse.. ‘Piece of cake…’ he thought.

[Catch] The Watchful Dragon

As I sat atop the gate, to think that one of the Death-Watch got sick on such short notice. I muttered in silence as at the very least. I respected I was called upon; not that much ever happened during the hours of the Deathwatch, a dark and grim name for obvious reasons. If only I were back in the classroom, or sleeping for that matter.

These thoughts mused through my mind as I watched from a lawn-chair that I brought. A sketchbook at my thigh, and a cup of coffee in a mug in my off-hand. To be frank, it was a bit relaxing. Of course, was is a completely accurate explanation for the past-tense. Someone is coming. Resounded a voice not my own in my mind; leaving me to sigh, and retort mentally, Of course, the worlds' full of them. If you hear a flying shark, tell me that. That's weird. No you tart, up the wall. Prepare yourself. I arched a brow. Standing up, as I looked at the walls edge. To think, someone was bold enough to try and get over with so many deathwatch nearby? Did this person know nothing of Kumogakure's defenses?

"I guess not." I spoke in disbelief as I saw the individual leap skywards. My eyes half-lidded in disbelief, but nevertheless; I had a job to do. In that blinding moment, I gripped a needle and ninja-wire. Unleashing it towards the oddly dressed man-thing, weaving it around their shin as they attempted to get over. And as it wrapped around.

I pulled- Hard. With the force of a dragon's muscles behind it, dragging him back to the peak of the walls. A grand platform of stone and bone; I watched him in silence for a moment. "I don't normally comment on people's attire, given my barbaric look. But are you trying to break in to a village for a ball? That seems a bit rash; wouldn't you say?"

Suika was prepared for her mission. The thirteen-year old Chuunin, with her stealthy mission gear strapped on, readied herself for a B-rank espionage mission assigned to her through Kumogakure’s Main Branch. The duty assigned was not time sensitive, but she preferred to operate through the night. With her paperwork handy, she ventured from inside the village to Dragontooth’s Pass. Her journey wasn’t anything out of the ordinary as she hopped from building-to-building, but as she neared Cloud’s gates, something did not sit right with her. Debatably blessed with supernatural senses, her extrasensory perception warned her of a nearby presence. She was at her village’s entry and exit-way, so there was bound to be fellow shinobi, but she spotted peculiar, dark figures from her peripherals. As she was hopping from an elevated distance, she caught them in direct sight. One looked familiar.

Very familiar.

The girl, almost taken back, twitched. Was that him? She neared the duo, but joined amidst Shieo’s dialogue. The man looked different… more notably, he was confronting another. The foreigner appeared a straight up villain from some sort of manga. Dressed flashy and in dark clothing, Suika rolled her eyes. The dude looked obviously criminal.

“Yo, Shieo-san,” she’d greet him more properly later. Turning toward the man, she readied herself. “If you’re here to cause trouble, then prepared to be reprimanded, sir.” The man's presence didn't sit right with her. Nonetheless, if he was attempting to break into the village, what better teacher-student reunion than to beat some sense into this masked stranger?

It was a calm day today, nothing really interesting to think about other than the pulse-pounding headache she has from the hang-over. She had a rather uneventful time at the karaoke bar last night and even kicked out a young Cloud Student after her attempts at getting him drunk. Seems the people here in this village had a little bit more discipline. Without paying too much attention to where she was going or why she was moving around, she stopped to find herself at the gate. She blinked a few times seeing the girl from the forest, the guy that met her at the gates, and that creep Maru floating around. A loud and audible 'EEEP' could be heard as she ducked down to avoid Maru's detection. His 'thirst-radar' was strong and she was more than certain that he'd sense her coming. She chanted over and over again, hoping he wouldn't find her.

Even with her glasses on, she clearly saw the snarkiness emanating off of Maru. Her heart pounded, not in a manner of love -- no no! She had someone already propose their love for her and that was one-time enough. Well, the guy did do it in front of Maru, which was quite embarassing. She grit her teeth. "That creep followed me. Let's see what happens" she said as she peeked her head out to watch.

‘Hm?’ his ankle seemed to be caught on something, Maru narrowed his eyes, then he looked up knowing that he was caught. “Shit.” He said before he was then dragged back up the wall’s peak, then pulled in front of a guy whom he assumed to be one of the guardians around here most. Sitting up, he rubbed his head seeing a man towering over him, commenting on his attire. The young mercenary kicked up, then withdrawn from his teach coat one of his pistols to shoot at the ninja wire from his shin. He looked from the man, another one came to make an attempt to catch him, he didn't notice Kaori right away. He was more focused on finding a possible route of escape. “Well when you're pretty bored and have nothing else better to do, people would do anything. Not everyday you get to hop over gates.”

The girl was pretty much ready to fight, and if it were any other day he would probably consider it. But, he decided to put his weapon away to hold his hands up as if he was in a western stick up. Taking slow steps backwards. “Oh, I really didn't come here to cause trouble. Got bored so decided to pull off a false breakin to see if I get to see some new faces.” He took another step back, then pausing, making finger guns to the two who stopped him. “Later..”He hopped backwards, weaving hand signs in midair to cloaks the himself in chakra to blend into the environment to make himself practically invisible, then began to make a break for it.. He heard a fimiliar heart beat while he was up on the gates, could it have been someone he knew that was watching him? Hopefully after that, he would've managed to get away and have a little story about a narrow escape..

Re: [Catch] The Watchful Dragon

After the ... Eccentric individual in both attire and seeming personality had leaped back the way he came, and attempted to guise himself with the use of jutsu. I sort of just walked over to the ledge and watched him and various other things descend. "Another day's work well-done." I voiced aloud, casting a momentary glance to Suika; as another voice filled my idle head, You didn't do much. I had rolled my eyes visibly at that.

Turning my attention back to Suika with a bit more focus this time. As I wander to my lawn-chair and ultimately my mug of coffee, where I quickly fish up and take a sip. I paused for only a few seconds after my sip; then spoke with my usual droll tone. "Yo, been awhile pip-squeek." All while, I started to rather casually fold up my chair and tuck my book away into my shinobi pouch. Peering about the massive wall that stretched as far as the naked eye could see. "As much as I'd love to stay and chat and be all -- Uh... Teacher like, I have to continue walking around to make sure that loonie doesn't go trying it again." I gave her a momentary look; assuming if anything I could give her a moment to speak.

Otherwise, I figured I'd keep moping around to see if anything else came. I'd hoped not. But my luck today clearly has not been the best.

Later in the day, I submit a quick sketch of what I saw to the board of Deathwatch. As a warning of who to look out for.

  • Will be considered left once/if nothing more happens. If a fight breaks out or whatever, I'll consider myself stopped.

The situation fizzled almost more brilliantly than it initially stirred. The masked goon, true to his theatrical appearance, revealed his rather foolish intentions before signing some Ninjutsu to aid in his escape. Tempted to go after him, the girl almost formed a seal, but she noticed tonight's watch, Shieo, stand idle as the random hooligan fled.

Suika sighed.

While she was loyal to Kumogakure, her duty was tied to her upcoming mission. Assuming Shieo was assigned some type of gate duty, this was on him, not her. Besides, she was confident that the shinobi posted at the gates were capable enough in apprehending such a colorful figure if it came down to it. Regardless of her justification for not involving herself further, the Chuunin was a bit peeved at the man's aloof response. She was not shocked by any means, but rather, she was reminded why she found her former sensei so dull and irritating. As the man waved both the situation and her off, Suika subtly rolled her eyes in response. "Yanno..." Suika muttered as she stepped at the ledge of the gate. She crouched and prepared herself to travel below to present her paperwork to the other shinobi on duty. "...you kinda suck." Brushing off her old sensei, she had a gut feeling she'd run into him again. That would be a fun day.

"Some people never change," she noted. Suika went about her business and unto her mission.

Kaori puffed out her cheeks as she noticed Maru not recognizing her. It was quite the surprise that when she tried in a different country, he could somehow find her, but the moment she hides in plain site about a 100 feet away from him -- she blended in nearly perfectly. It was a little annoying, but it seemed he wasn't the only person that missed her; apparently the two shinobi she had met previously also didn't see her there. She let out a little grumble as they passed by, not even trying to hide her presence at that point. She slouched her shoulders before looking back out towards the gate. She let out a groan before returning into the village.
