Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

      Description

      • Koga is often seen carrying a strange white object that could be mistaken for either a carved spine, or a tool crafted from bizarre skeletal remnants. Up close, however, it becomes readily apparent that what he carries is in fact a beautiful but subtly morbid ivory-like white longsword. It is of mostly eastern style, particularly throughout the curved blade reminiscent of a tachi's edge, but the hilt is curved differently from the blade and shaped like a combination of serpentine and humanoid vertebrae, seemingly designed to fit so naturally in one's hand that it feels rather creepy when held. The intricate detail and texture of the spine shaped bones rubbing against the wielder's fingers lull the mind into perceiving that it is not holding the hilt of a weapon, but the body of some unknown creature; the jarring suspicion can haunt the mind until the wielder is forced to look upon the weapon, and indeed confirm it is still just a tool and not some writhing creature in their clutches. The hilt is even semi-flexible, adjusting very slightly with each slash in a way that preserves the momentum of it's wielders slashes, so efficient and interactive with it's user's motion that the sword seems to exude a chilling vibe that it may not be entirely inanimate... one feels as if they are being watched while holding this object.

The blade itself is quite long; as tall as the average man, it's edge has a deadly razor-like look to it all the way down to it's tip, but if one looks very closely under a scope of some kind they may see that the edge is not actually straight, but is instead a tremendous mass of small tooth-like bones akin to shark teeth, seemingly grown naturally. The blade is not metal but instead a solid mass of bone and thus is not nearly as heavy, though it is certainly denser than conventional skeletal material. This almost invisible serration of the blade causes the pain it inflicts to be much greater than the mercifully efficient edge of your standard katana, tearing flesh with each cut and ensuring that those who fall to this blade feel pungent anguish with it's cruel bite. Though quite long, the weapon is actually very light, weighing just under four pounds owing to it's skeletal design.

There are just a few issues with this weapon, however...

Clearly not made by ordinary people, or people at all, the sword has a strange tendency to vibrate very softly when close to living flesh. This does not apply to the wielder - though, strangely, they likely will not feel safe from the weapon either for some odd reason. It doesn't happen fast enough to alert the wielder of another presence and is too soft to be noticed easily anyway, so this has no benefit in combat, but does hint at the sword's malevolent nature.

In addition, if one sleeps with this blade in their hands under the night of a full moon, their dreams will be filled of a beautiful albino woman who has the lower body of a giant white snake. The dreams are sweet and entrancing at first, but become a scene of horror and unyielding nightmare as her true nature is revealed, and the wielder does not awaken until sunrise no matter how valiantly they struggle against the baleful clutches of their unreal, metaphysical mistress in the nocturnal realm of dreams...

(Summary; lightweight longsword made from bone. Does creepy things that don't benefit combat, but are cool for plot and roleplay, with a hint of foreshadowing.)

      Story

      • Below, contained in the spoiler, is a short story detailing how Koga obtained this weapon. I would like to add to it as he learns Taijutsu and becomes more attached emotionally with this blade. At the moment, he keeps it for good luck more or less and is fascinated by it's dark vibe.

He knew he had gone too far when he'd turned back, because he didn't recognize the path he had been purposefully attempting to burn into his memory. Night had fallen under the silent gaze of it's white nocturnal eye, the full moon, beaming it's midnight luminance down upon the jungle like forests surrounding the bases of the great mountains. Supposedly Koga had permission to be here, though all he'd really done was ask some Chuunin if he could train in the outer forests for a bit; that did not include getting lost.

His lower legs were scraped and cut, pants torn, all by the thorns of the underbrush and scattered vines throughout the dense foliage. Tired, hungry, and fatigued, Koga eventually succumbed to exhaustion and fell face-first into a large cluster of white leafs intertwined with the roots of a great tree. A moment of panic fluttered in his heart as he realized that what he had mistaken for plants from afar were in-fact scales, the last thing he felt before losing consciousness... the final glimpse he caught from the corner of his eyes looked something like a white haired woman high above, attached to the whiteness he fell towards. Darkness then whisked him to rest...

What transpired next was wonderful; Koga awoke in a mass of white, soft fog, which felt like silk as it caressed his body. There were oddly sharp but soft pricks against his young body, and only two really hurt as they pierced into his flesh beside his collarbone. Afterwards things simply became... pleasant. He could not tell if he was dreaming or awake somewhere, but the fear and fatigue he had felt previously gradually vanished after that final piercing pain, followed by a feeling of something wrapping around his limbs firmly but not unpleasantly. And then...

... The image of a beautiful woman. Long, silken white hair, eyes framed by pale purple make-up of some kind and a face as lovely as it was devious, followed by a body that was so perfect, yet attached to something unseen in the fog. He felt her lavender lips touch his own, just twice, bringing a strange and inhuman taste with their odd texture. It felt like more than a kiss... slitted, grey violet eyes gazed unto his own, as feelings of premature love and first affections stirred inside of Koga. The fog began to clear, allowing him to see the rest of the strange female... and his mouth subsequently gaped open as horror washed over him.

Her lower body did not exist, instead replacing it was the body of a giant white snake, which had bound his arms and legs in tight serpentine coils of it's scaly body. A sensation of pain abruptly returned to him so vivid it felt as if his very consciousness were trembling, which was mercifully short lived... the last of the woman Koga saw was the glimmer of her slitted pupils, before waking up in a puddle of his own sweat.

Koga was in a different spot than he was before fading to unconsciousness... He felt slightly numb all over his body and sore, stumbling a bit as he stood. The academy was in the not so distant horizon now - he was baffled by the change in location, but a painful throbbing headache dulled his amazement. He stumbled forward with clumsy steps, exiting the jungle - but the feeling of something in his hand caught his attention as it hit a small tree. Looking down, he could see a strange white blade placed tightly in his grip, causing his pupils to widen as fearful instinct crawled through his spine.

His other hand immediately touched his collarbone, discovering two puncture wounds akin to the bite of a snake.
