Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

White Walls [Nobu & Visitors]

Kahako listened to the chatter in her ear as she watched Osu’s slumped form along the wall. The hospital communication was on fire as they quickly locked down the building, and began to secure patients in case and evac would be needed.. Quietly, she grasped the slumped MiT’s shoulder. The look in her eyes was all he needed to know of her own hurt.

But there was also a rage. Her eyes ablaze as she received notification of the first ANBU to arrive along with their Raikage. “Be prepared to repeat what you just told me.” She said to him softly with one last grip to his shoulder. Hisako also entered the room, giving her the information she requested on her tablet, and fully explaining the events leading up to Nobuyuki’s unwanted visitor.

“Have you seen this woman?” Kahako asked Osu, showing him a paused video of the assassin holding a basket right before the woman walked through the door. His response would have to wait as Saito and the ANBU mentioned at the door entered the room and silently walked to Nobuyuki’s still warm corpse.

More chatter filled her headpiece as Ayumu entered the hospital with yet another injured ANBU. Who in Raiden’s name was taking out cloud’s finest? “Have all staff ready to react to a village wide emergency." she murmured once more into her headset "More may be incoming if this doesn’t end soon.” A small form of relief filled her as the Main Branch Sennin called out to her. The worry leaving completely her as she quickly assessed that he was unharmed.

“If it was a male who brought Zenichi here, then it wasn’t the assassin who killed him.” She said, swiping back to her paused video and showing the two men and the ANBU operative. “Nobuyuki’s last visitor before Osu was a woman carrying a basket. Most likely transporting the weapon that... ended him.”

At Saito’s order to the ANBU member, Kahako turned away from the group to speak quietly to Hisako. “Alert staff and security to work in cohesion with the incoming ANBU. Security is to ensure every ANBU member and incoming visitor can fully identify themselves before they enter, but to not give them grief once they can. Keep an eye on the video surveillance systems, and alert me and Kitsune-sensei immediately should anything go amiss.” A mass influx of people could get the enemy another chance to attack, and it would be a cold day in hell before Kahako would allow them to do so as easily.

After her order was sent, she caught onto Saito’s conversation with Ayumu. Her head whipped around quickly as the two men made ready to leave. “Saito-sama, I understand your reason behind fighting him alone, but as a doctor and as the sennin, and can not watch you and Ayumu walk into this without my assistance. I will not interfere with your battle, but I will not allow bravado to kill either of you. This enemy is powerful, and the village cannot lose you two.”

She glared at both of them with no intention of accepting ‘no’ as an answer. Even if it meant insubordination. Aside, from her worry of their general welfare, this attacked was an assault on the hospital. Someone had the gall to enter her hospital, kill a patient under its care, and think they could possibly get away with it. The assassin may have been working with the man who put Nobuyuki here, and that was a lead she could not pass up. No, this time, Kahako would not stand idly by as her two companions settled the matter themselves.

Kahako formed hand seals similar to that of Saito’s, summoning her own mask she used in her time with the Sentou. A small jellyfish posted to the side, identifying her for what she was to the other members of the ANBU. “Osuteno, prepare the body to be moved down to the morgue for full evaluation. The kill is pretty straightforward, but further investigation could give us more information on the attacker.”

Osuteno looked up at his senpai and sennin as she grasped his shoulders. She looked so very sad and angry as she looked directly into his own eyes. Without saying a word, Osu nodded and stood up slowly as she gave him what he decided to take as an order. Orders were easier to follow instinctively, one didn't have to put much thought into them. He stood quietly in the corner as all these adults started crowding the room and exchanging information as Kahako-Senpai showed him a paused image of the likely suspect and started to shake his... Wait...

It was a very unique woman, so unique that he knew immediately that he indeed had seen her, but not today. It had been a long time since he had seen that face but given the circumstance he could remember every detail of it... And the implications. "I..."

Of course before he could answer the adults all started making plans and announcements and orders were being exchanged, and being as timid as he was he was having difficulty getting a word in. "This woman," This was important! They needed to listen! Kahako, the main sennin, the raikage, the anbu, they all needed to hear him but none were hearing his attempts to speak up! It wasn't really that surprising, as small as he was they all likely considered him just the unfortunate discoverer of the body and dismissed him. Adults were always so caught up in their mission or their feelings or their convictions or their duty that they only wanted to act on those without hearing what the less important people had to say.

That really wasn't fair and he knew it, but he couldn't really help but feel that way as he kept failing to get a word in as more people were making grand gestures and statements and everyone in the room but him apparently owning and pulling out an anbu mask from thin air. "Osuteno, you really need to learn how to speak up when it is time to," sighed a voice from inside his head. Uso vaguely present in the front of his thoughts with a feeling of exasperation, "Let me try. Hand the wheel over to me and I will show you how to get your message across."

Typically Osu was adverse to ever going along with one of Uso's suggestions but he really wasn't having any luck as he was told to take the body down to the morgue to examine it for further clues while he tried, once more to get a word in as everyone was getting ready to file out. "Fine, you give it a try," he thought back and relinquished control to Uso.

Uso took a much different approach than Osu to get their attention as she took hold of their body. Thankfully not changing their appearance to her like she normally did when she took control these days, USo held an uncharacteristically pissed look on Osu's face as she slammed their foot loudly on top of a chair Captain Morgan style "If people will stop showing off their damn chest hairs for five seconds, we know who is behind the assassination!" Osu, now inside the library of their mind, was burying himself under a pile of books out of embarrassment for what she was saying with his face.

Now that they had the attention of everyone in the room"The woman in that video is one we have fought before around two years ago. It was a skirmish in the southern portion of Solum de Asphodelus where we were escorting Councilman Ishikawa Kioku while he repaired a crater in the earth. This woman, a human puppet, and a small troop of mechanical soldiers dropped down on us from the island... floating above us. Guns are definitely in her modus operandi. She belongs to an organization that we have run into a couple times by the name of Titan who, as far as our other experience with them suggests, wishes to discredit the current system." Uso took their foot of the table and made a quick set of hand seals and sat down in a chair like a well-groomed little princess while a set of blood clones set about preparing the body for transport downstairs with one going off to prepare the gurney. "Now feel free to put on your anbu masks if you have them and have yet to do so and continue charging into the situation with your manly spirits and such." While Uso was perfectly composed as if she were waiting on the maid to bring them tea, Osu was still freaking out inside their head about how rude she had just been to... well the three highest ranking shinobi in the village!

Ayumu looked down at the strange device Kahako had, watching the video of the woman of interest entering the late Sennin's room. He squinted his eyes, looking at the paused image. She looked familiar. Very familiar. Ayumu was certain that he had seen her before, though the image wasn't the best of quality. The important thing to note was that this was in fact not the same person whom the two Sennin had faced. It was another, as Kahako confirmed. Regardless, Ayumu could not shake the feeling that he had seen her before. Meanwhile he had to raise an eyebrow at Saito's insistence that he battle Kouin alone. While he was sure there were those who preferred the honor of one on one combat, it didn't seem appropriate to place that desire above the village's safety. But Ayumu was jumping the gun with that thought, as Saito would explain. Ayumu was to be the insurance policy, present in case things did not go well. The real reason that Saito wanted to take the man on alone was that he actually wanted to talk to him and try to find out what made him tick. True, it seemed unlikely that the man came to Cloud simply to fight and kill. There had to be some motive for it.

"Hm... as you wish," Ayumu said somewhat reluctantly. He was more inclined to simply snuff out the threat immediately and with their full strength. After all, doing things this way could given the man a chance to flee once again. However, Ayumu had accepted Saito as his Raikage and would respect his decisions. With that, Saito was prepared to begin the hunt. Ayumu was ready to do so as well, but Kahako's voice caught his attention first. She wanted to join them, and she had that tone of voice he was so familiar with that said that she refused to take no for an answer. Ayumu was not thrilled at the idea of her facing the threat with them, but even if he wanted to say no the call was not his to make. It was up to Saito.

Suddenly, a small voice came from behind them sounding so forceful Ayumu barely recognized it. Turning his head, his eyebrow once more cocked, he found the source in Osuteno. This was the boy who had been involved in a mission that spun out of control in to an S-rank mission recently. He held some secrets that made him someone to keep tabs on, so Ayumu certainly remembered him. He did not remember the boy being so outspoken, though, as he was now proving to be. It sounded like he needed a nap. However, Ayumu was less interested in the sass and more interested in the fact that he apparently knew who the assassin was. He had faced her before on a mission. Interrupted by an attack from an above floating island. Only one floating island came to mind. The name of the organization that followed next was almost too predictable. 'Titan...' Ayumu repeated in his own thoughts. They had their hands in everything these days, it seemed. In fact, Nobuyuki and Ayumu had planned to have a talk with Saito about them. Unfortunately, that never came to pass with the ANBU Sennin's untimely demise.

Then it came to Ayumu. The woman, he had seen her before. It was quite a while ago now, but he had encountered her causing havoc in the village. Several people had given chase, but she got away not before causing several explosions. Now they knew, she was an agent of Titan. Reaching out, Ayumu gave Osu a firm pat on the head. "Good info, kid, thanks for speaking up," he said. He was of course completely unaware of the trouble Osu had with getting in a word and the fact that he needed to have his body's other occupant take over to get it out. He seemed to care little about the way in which he had passed on the information. "Now I recognize her. I've encountered her before as well, causing explosions within the village and cackling like a mad woman before fleeing into the night. Years have passed since then. It seems she was picked up by Titan, and now they intend to begin making moves against us. The man I faced may be working with them, or they may have simply used the opportunity he provided. But now we know more about who we're dealing with," Ayumu said, ruffling Osuteno's hair as he did so.

"We don't know where she's gone, but we do know of one clear threat to address. I think we've dallied here long enough. If you're ready, Raikage-sama," Ayumu said, preparing to leave if there was nothing more.

[Topic Left w/ Kahako/Saito unless stopped (or they don't leave).]

Akira nodded to Kahako and then to Ayumu as he suggested they leave. He wouldn't stop his Sennin from doing as they chose, just as when he was Sennin he wouldn't have let the Raikage decide his actions without question.

Perhaps she would be able to save the life of the man they were going to fight should Akira accidentally go too far? Or perhaps he would need the help himself. The latter idea... interested him.

It had been a long time since he had been properly challenged in combat.

They took their leave and Akira would follow Ayumu in their hunt.

Titan would need to be dealt with.

gNPC Oda Kazuo

Just as soon as he had arrived, the ghost floated onward through the north wall, information in tow. Was this information worth relaying to those he was in contact with? Who knows. But he had his reasons for doing so, and that reason was the family he left behind. They weren't as well off as some of the other families in Kumo, and Kazuo meant to change that.

NPC Takekawa Daichi
ANBU Strategic Operations Division

So the Raikage had arrived to take over the situation, and that put him at ease. Now there was the matter of finding someone to take over in the meantime. Thankfully it wouldn't be too long until a candidate was found. Though, Daichi wouldn't be able to guess just who it was yet, but order had to be restored.

Uso glared at the man who dared touch their hair without permission like that. Didn't he realizes she was a young... She looked down and remembered she was using Osu's appearence as she had not used the transformation jutsu, because then they would have all assumed Osu was crazy and him being locked up in a mental institution wasn't a very ideal situation for her. It would mean she would be locked up too. Whatever. Hair rustling or not, at least the information had been delivered and Osu now owed her in her eyes. The clones moved the body to the gurney now that it arrived and she rode along with the former sennin on their way down to the morge, already continuing the investigation. Afterall it turns out that murder still got to Osu and she wanted to get the initial investigation recorded and in paperwork so she could enjoy a nice bath in Osu's stead. A bath actually sounded lovely, maybe the hot springs tongiht. She looked back to the ANBU who was in the room, "The murder weapon could still be about, so you may want to check the room. Otherwise you can radio in and tell them the body is being taken downstairs for further investigation or even come along and guard if you want." And without really paying attention to see how he responded Uso just rode along as the clones pushed.

Shin watched as the other members left, before he found himself being addressed by the boy, and the claims about the murder weapon. He watch as the person was leaving before, he summoned his own clones, having them look around the room for anything the might resemble a weapon. While they searched he left the room, before turning on his headset and making a call.

"This is Trainee Kyōfuno. The Raikage has requested that the ANBU help out with guarding any of the injuried from the attacks. In regards to the deceased, the body has been identified as the Gensui. I'm heading down to guard the body for during along with the Mednin apart of the investigation. Any back-up would be appreciated. Over."

With that set, Shin put the headset volume and low and become following the body towards the morgue. Shin wondered what sort of chaos to expect over the news and how to plan accordingly. Hopefully the high-ups had something planned for this situation, otherwise it was going to be a long week for the ANBU branch.
