Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Wondering around (closed RP)

As the waitress walked away, Ri decided he'd take the chance to see if she was attractive since he was to busy with being mad before to do so. Sadly, she was not, although the view from the back was decent enough to at least make his effort have some reward. Sighing as he looked back toward the two he was sitting with, his perversion seemed to calm his nerves, although his previously formed feelings for Shin seemed to stick still. Sometimes his feelings confused himself, but now was not the time to dwell on that if he wanted to make up for not being able to enjoy the night like he wanted to.

Listening as he was asked a question, and realizing that he had been ignoring Akane ever since Shin arrived, he looked down at the table with a bit of disappointment (in himself) before answering. "I'm a genin." This was the only answer he could get out currently, and it was also the only answer he needed, although Shin probably wanted to know a little more than just the rank. Sitting awkwardly waiting for food certainly didn't seem fun, so Ri would humor the Chuunin and continue pursuing more information on the others.

After Akane answered, if she answered, Ri would say, "So if we want to learn more about each other, we don't even know each other's ages yet. Or even brief history to know where we're coming from. After saying this, he'd look back and forth at the other two slowly, and the waitress would come back with their drinks, but walk off soon after serving these to them since she could tell they were having a conversation.

Kurogane Shin said:
"Must be nice to eat somewhere familiar then, huh Akane-chan."
"Yea it is nice, kind of." Akane replied to Shin, with a small smile. it brought back memories yes, but even though they were happy, they kinda made her sad.
She quickly shook it off as the conversation was changed, and She listened to what shin had ordered. She was not a fan of spicy things really, she had rarely had anything spicy. Akane looked at Shin as he started speaking again.
Kurogane Shin said:

"I was wondering Ri-kun and Akane-chan, what are your ranks? You both seem like either Genin or Academy Students, so I didn't want to make a bad assumption."

She blinked and tilted her head at shin. "I already told you, I am an Academy student." She stated, but then started giggling cutely, but softly. "Do you often forgot things easily, Shin-san?" She asked in a teasing tone, then she looked at Ri as he spoke.
Shita Rirakkusu said:
-"I'm a genin."

Akane smiled, she thought he was a genin, and she knew he was young. So she felt right on que. She smiled widely, and then glanced at the waitress as she dropped off their drinks. She took a sip of her tea, and hummed in delight. It surely was their best tea. Akane's attention went back to Ri as he spoke again.
Shita Rirakkusu said:
"So if we want to learn more about each other, we don't even know each other's ages yet. Or even brief history to know where we're coming from.

Akane nodded to him. "Okay! I will go first, I have nothing to hide." She stated with a nod, then she smiled.
"I am 12 years old, and I live with my mom. I was raised here, pretty much my entire life. I was born somewhere else, but I don't remember where, and my mom doesn't talk to me." Akane started, raising her hands up, and she seemed to be talking with her hands as well. "My dad died a few years ago, I can't remember when exactly, but since then my mom pretty much stopped talking. She says a few things every now and then. I got bored of the quietness of the house and decided I wanted more out of my life. So I decided to train to become a ninja. I plan on becoming a mednin so in the future if I get into an accident like with my father, then I can actually do something instead of watch them die." Akane finished, nodding. Though it obviously hurt to talk about that, she showed a smile anyways. It wasn't that she thought light of her fathers death, it was that she believed he would want her to smile instead of cry. She picked up her tea cup, and took a sip slowly, then she put it back down, letting the taste linger in her mouth.

“I'll try not to make that a habit.” Shin replied honestly, while he was kicking himself mentally for such a small fact. It wasn’t good to forget things about people, no matter how inconsequential. He thankful that Akane had taken his forgetfulness rather well, but it wasn’t something that Shin planned on making again. Turning his head to look at Ri, nodding to himself as the boy said he was a Genin. I thought as much, it took some skill not to deal with those thugs rather efficiently. He glanced upwards as the waitress had returned with the groups drinks, his hand reaching for the glass and taking a small sip from his glass. The water was smooth and slightly chilled, enough to patch his thirst for the moment. Looking back to Ri, he waited as the boy explained how if they wished to know more about each other, they should know some details on their backgrounds. Collecting information, this will give me some data on both of them. I’ll wait and see how I should reveal information about myself.

Shin looked as Akane, listening has she gave a small story of her history. It was a mix of sadness but also a small take of inspiration. Rather than letting the death of her father affect her, she would use it to further her drive into becoming a Mednin. Interesting. He did saying thing as she smiled after telling her story, thinking about what information he should tell to the two. He wasn’t worried about them becoming threats, but while he put on the show of being warm and friendly, he didn’t wish for strangers to have too much information, at least not yet. Shin looked at both of them, before speaking, not noticing that his tone seemed devoid of any clear emotion.

“I hope that ends up going well for you Akane-chan. As for me, I’m nineteen years old and I live alone mostly, with the exception of the times my father choose to visit. I’ve lived in the village my entire life and I was promote to chuunin a few years back. Also, while I do have a mother, I do not know if she is living or deceased. The only thing I know is that I have demon blood running through my veins from her side of my family, which…”

He paused for a second, raising up the curly hair covering his forehead to reveal two small horns, before letting the hair fall back down.

“Has caused these horns on my head. The only downside I’d have to say is that is that my blood produced a constant aura that seems to unnerve people at times. I use to find it a handicap, but I realized that my ability can be used for the betterment of the village. With the skills I’ve reached from training, I could be an effective member of the ANBU if given the opportunity. So what of you Ri?”

Shin smiled, the emotionless feeling that he had leaving as he seemed to return to normal. It was something that always happened when Shin spoke about personal affairs, however it wasn’t meant to though people off. It just that he truly felt nothing when speaking of things about his past or anything regarding his family. He took another sip of his water, and waited to hear what the boy would say.

Ri listened as the other spoke of their past, and slightly shook his head at how similar their stories seemed. To him, it was like every person had some sort of missing or dead relative in their family, and although common, still something that made their history interesting. Even if the memories are painful, it is still interesting. He always felt his history was inferior to another's, seeing how he had nothing that motivated him to become a great ninja, or anything painful happen to cause him to want change. No, the only change that occurred was a bit of a change in his ultimate goal, which was going from wanting to be a great ninja to not wanting anything in particular.

"Well," Ri began after Shin had finished his story, he paused for a moment to think about where to begin before speaking again, "I'm 14 and live with my family, nothing big ever happened in my past though, nor were there any big mysteries. Since the mood began to feel a bit awkward to him whenever they had moments of silence, Ri decided he'd go into a bit more detail about his past, hopefully it would spark another conversation. "I was an only child at first, born into a poor family that had barely enough money to keep me and themselves fed, so it wasn't like we were starving or anything. Letting out a quiet sigh, he took a moment to think about how he would continue since he's never talked about his past before.

"I would say that the moment I learned about the shinobi, I wanted to be one, and I went as far as pretending I was one. Even in public, it embarrassed the hell out of my parents, but I guess they just wanted me to be happy? Well, a few years after I was born, my sister came into the world. Immediately when she was able to walk by herself, she followed me around and mimicked what I did so that she could be a ninja to. When I finally got into the academy, I was excited, for the beginning of it. Laziness just kind of kicked in, and I never wanted to study, work, or do anything productive really. It was easy to pass though, only because I just knew a lot of the things before hand or it was simple to learn even without paying attention."

Taking a deep breath in, followed by another sigh, he looked up at the two he was talking to and finished his story, "There's not much else to tell after that, just barely passed my classes and exam, and a couple year later, I'm here." Now leaning back in his chair, Ri looked over to where the ramen was being prepared, it seemed as though a couple of their bowls were done, so they should be getting their meal soon. Ri wondered what he would get, especially since he asked for something as vague as "Your best."

Akane listened to shins story closely. She blinked at the mention of demon blood, she did not know that was possible, but she found it absolutely awesome. When shin finished, Akane smiled at him. "Thats awesome! The demon part.... not the living alone or.." Akane smiled awkwardly, she did not mean for it to seem unthoughtful, or bratty. She decided it was probably best not to comment further on that.
Kurogane Shin said:
So what of you Ri?”

Shita Rirakkusu said:

Akane looked at Ri and listened to his story. It seemed pretty "Normal" or at least what people called a normal family these days. She wondered why he didn't have any motivation, even without something tragic in his life, she could see reasons that can motivate him. Akane looked between both the boys after Ri finished his story. She then realized that she was the youngest here. "I am the youngest here.," She whispered quietly to herself, it wasn't that she didn't like hanging out with older people, it was that she was most likely- no, the weakest in the trio as well. But she did wonder why shin would want to hang out with two kids. Maybe he stated earlier, but maybe she did not hear it. She looked at Ri and smiled. "Your little sister sounds cute." She commented to him.

A few minutes later the waitress came out with all of their food on a tray. She placed Shin's. and Ri's bowls in front of them, but as she was walking, a person passing her tripped her causing her to fall, and drop the hot bowl of ramen onto Akane's lap. Akane's squeaked loudly out the sudden burning feeling on her lap. She stood quickly, dropping the chair behind herself, and took a step back, but tripped over her own chair. Akane tried catching her own balance before she fell by taking a few more steps, but it was pointless as she tumbled backwards into a table that was next to them. She fell onto the table, flipping it over on top of herself. The occupants of the table did not seem happy at all, mean looking people, four of them. THree men, and one woman. The men stood, and moved the table out of the way to glare down at Akane.

"It has it's advantages." Shin said chuckling slightly at Akane's reaction to his history. As he addressed Ri, he listened closely to his story, which it all honestly didn't seem rather exciting. He seems like a normal teenager, so I his lack of motivation can be understandable...somewhat. To Shin, the boy sound like one of the members of the Nara clan, whose chronic laziness hidden a genius level intellect. But that was just his speculation for know, the boy would have to find his drive on his own, though hopefully his laziness would be detrimental in critical moments. Shin required a circle that he could trust to have his back, and though young, making these connections would all him to make up a groundwork in which he could find connection though the village.

Shin yawned slightly, before looking as the waitress come to deliver the food, both his and Ri meal arriving without incident, as the waitress turned to deliver Akane's food. The events that happened, next seem like something out of a comedy, from the waitress tripping, to Akane falling and knocking over the occupants across from them table over, it took some of his willpower not to just breaking out in laughter at the odd occurrence. Atleast that was the case until he noticed the three men moving their tables at of the way to glare down at the girl. And just when everyone was in a relatively good mood. Shin didn't move from his chair, only placing his left hand in front of him, drawing forth electrons into the tips of his fingers; the men noticing this and started turning their gaze to him, but rather than addressing them he looked at the waitress who seemed nervous and embarrassed at her actions that seemed to be resulting in a confrontation.

"Miss, could we have some towels and ice for the girl on the ground. I'm sure the last thing this men want is to assault an injured minor, especially with two other witnesses present"

Shin didn't even spare a glance at the men as the waitress left only using his other hand to move his chopsticks to taste some of his ramen. No need to let this get cold. While he seemed oblivious to the over all mood, Shin was silently gauging their reactions. People won't always be there to defend her, so the girl has to show some fight. Otherwise she always going to be weak. While Shin wasn't making any action against the men yet, should they do anything that seemed hostile, they would fry, and then Shin would drag the stunned bodies to jail.

Ri managed to get one bite of ramen in before their companion suddenly toppled over because of her ramen ending up in her lap instead of her mouth. Of course, Ri didn't really find it to funny, the biggest reaction he gave was simply putting his hand to his head after setting his chopsticks down. He didn't notice the men glaring at Akane until he removed his hand and saw that she had taken several things with her on her trip to the ground. Since he already had his fill of annoyance that night, the first thing he did was glare at them as well. None of them noticed him, even after Shin caught their attention with his little trick, and Ri didn't plan on threatening them further until he was included as one of the witnesses.

The men looked over to him as he was mentioned, so he decided to screw with them as well by allowing some lava to flow out of his mouth before sucking it back in. The heat could be felt by anyone near him, but he didn't do anything with it, yet. If the men tried anything, he would spit lava at them, only aiming for non vital areas like their shoulders or something, and only if Shin didn't get to them first. After the lava came into contact with them, he would simply harden it, the pain from simply a second of that stuff on them would be enough for them to back off.

Of course, the little tricks the two did seemed to frighten them enough to back off. Of course, that's merely how Ri saw it, you never know what three humiliated individuals will do if they see a chance to redeem themselves. Ri would return to eating after he assumed they won the fight before it began, and enjoyed whatever it was he was eating. He still couldn't tell what "their best" was, but it was definitely good, and there was no doubt in his mind that he would finish it, and maybe even have more.

Akane looked up at the men glaring down at her, a shiver ran up her spine, but this time she wasn't scared. It was more embarrassment than anything. She sat up as their attention turned to Shin, who seemed to be ready to send a Jutsu their way. Then she looked at Ri, who hadn't seemed pleased all evening. She smiled faintly then stood. "I am fine, its not a bad burn, it'll go away soon." She said with a grin, though it hurt a lot, her legs were probably just red. She then turned to the three men, now all in front of her. She bowed her head to them in a apologetic way. "I am sorry for causing you trouble. I can only offer an apology. Doing any harm to anyone present though will only end bad for you currently. So please move on." Akane spoke calmly, but when she was done she looked up at the three men and smiled. The waitress scurried off quickly to go and grab the things shin had told her, and to probably tell her coworkers what happened.

Maybe it was the fact Shin and Ri was there that made her confident, and not afraid to speak. She also didn't want to appear weak, though she was compared to Shin and Ri, but these men seemed slow. She was sure she could avoid any of their attacks, it it came to it. But to her luck the men backed down, seeming to not want to fight Shinobi. The frowned deeply, and made a 'Hmph' noises, not speaking, just glaring. Two of them turned to start walking away, the other took their lady friend, and followed the other two soon after.

Akane sighed in relief, then she turned to Shin and Ri, bowing her head to them to apologies. "Sorry I caused trouble!" She exclaimed to them, then she picked up her seat and sat down. The waitress returned with a towel and ice, handing it to Akane. Akane took the towel and wiped the ramen stain from her kimono, then she put the ice on her lap, soothing the pain of the burn. Meanwhile the waitress cleaned up the mess, and apologized for spilling the ramen on Akane. She then left and about 5-8 minutes later, she returned with a new bowl of Ramen for Akane.

"I'm just glad it was settle without any major problems."'

Shin simply waved his hand as if to say it was no be deal to him. The girl had stood up to the men, even though he and Ri had her back, she at-least showed some backbone. Dispersing the energy that he had been building up, Shin continued to enjoy his meal, taking in the spices and heat from the ramen. The chuunin had to admit, for such a out the wall location, these chefs truly did know what there were doing. Making this place my go to spot for lunch will be added to the list. Swifting his mind off food for a second, Shin had realized something about Ri during there little display of power; he had an advance element affinity. It not often you genin with the ability to control lava. If he was able to develop that without any drive, imagine what he could learn if he was motivated.. Shin continued eating in silence, slow developing small records on these two for the future. The both had hidden potential, but only time would tell if they chose to further it or let it stagnate. Thinking that the silence again might make conversation awkward to the other two, he spoke, feeling as if the night would mostly likely be down after a few more conversations.

"So Akane-chan, do you plan on becoming a Mednin in Training first or a chuunin? Also, Ri-kun what about you? Any plans after you do reach chuunin?"

Yay, more questions! Ri was becoming more irritable as the night went on, primarily because he didn't have anything to keep him awake at this point. His normal means of keeping himself awake through the night had been gifted to the ground. Of course, he wasn't showing his irritation now, since it would just make for an even more annoying situation if he did..

"I don't really have any plans for the future, so I assume I'll be doing the same things I am now." Ri's lack of motivation was a problem he knew he had, but just really didn't care about. It would probably cause him to be either homeless or a loser trapped in his parent's home until one of the two parties die, and he knew this, yet he just did not care.

Setting his chopsticks down on the table as he finished his ramen, Ri leaned back in his chair and looked around the restaurant. The waitress occasionally peeked out from the kitchen to see if the customers needed anything, but didn't seem to notice that Ri had finished. The men that had almost assaulted Akane were now long gone, and the only other customers were what seemed like a family of three. It was beginning to get a bit late, and it was loud everywhere but inside the restaurant.

Akane grinned at shin and nodded. After she received her bowl of ramen she started to eat it quickly. Her eyes occasionally wandering around to look around at the restaurant. Even though she ate quickly, it was quiet. It was a habit she picked up from trying to rush to eat, but not disturb others at the same time. She learned not to be messy as well. It seemed like it was only a few minute before her entire bowl was gone. She hummed lightly, believing that was a good meal. Definately worth eating again. She then blinked and looked at Shin as he asked his question.

"I plan on becoming a MiT first... Getting to Genin has taken long already, I'd rather be out there helping people already." Akane explained with a nod. She was a little impatient, but for good reasons. She then looked around, then pulled out her wallet to start getting out the payment for the meal.

"I should go home soon." She stated as she put the money on the table. She smiled at Shin, then at Ri.
Its fine Shin, I was planing on leaving the thread after the meal.

"Well good luck to you."

Shin nodded, placing his bowl on the table before finish the rest of his water. It did seem like the night was ending soon, and Shin would rather get some rest before he had to arise for daily training. He found it rather underwhelming that Ri didn't have any motivation at all, and seemed like he would just faded into the crowd one day. What a pointless waste of talent. Shin wouldn't judge the Genin, but it did make him a bit concerned should he every have to team up with him. He didn't someone that he could trust to have his back in the field, not just a run of the mill shinobi. Placing a few yen down, the young chuunin got up nodding the other two.

"Well, thank you for the meal. It was a rather...interesting night. I hope you two enjoy the rest of your evenings." Shin said smiling, and going back they way in from, feeling that the night had ended well enough and that he had know a few files on the people in the village. He wasn't sure if he would call them allies but for now at-least he was acquainted with the two. Either way he was full and it was time to begin the long walk home.

OCC: Okay, later.

The night had been.. Annoying, and now was the perfect chance to get away. Everyone seemed to be tired, or simply short on time, so it was about time he said his goodbyes. "I guess it's time I left as well." Ri said as he stood up. Making sure that he had everything that he carried in with him, he turned and headed for the door. Giving a slight wave as he passed through the frame of the doorway, he realized that he forgot to pay. But of course, Akane did offer to buy him dinner anyway, so he figured he'd just let her handle it. And with the spare money he had from not having to pay for that, he could now go replace the things that he gave to the ground!

It would be a win-win for both of them of course, he'd get his favorite things in the world back, and she wouldn't feel like she owed him anything, it would work out perfectly. So now, with a smile on his face and coin purse already in hand, Ri almost began skipping his way to the bar where he would buy his alcohol, and then replace his tobacco after that! This night still had the potential to be a good one, but only if there weren't any more unneeded interruptions.

Akane nodded A goodbye to shin as he left. She took a few sips of her tea, and then finished it. Soon Ri was getting up to leave. She noticed that he seemed relieved of being able to leave. Oh well. She enjoyed the night at least. She then realised Ri didn't pay, and she shrugged with a sigh. She took out her wallet again, and placed a few more yen on the table. It was no big deal after all. Akane said her goodbye to the waitress, then walked out the door of the restruant to leave. It was dark, and a little chilly.
As akane walked down the road, towards home, she stared up at the night sky. It was a strange night indeed, but at least she met some new people. Akane walked home safely, then went to bed.
