The sound of agitated gravel echoed off the walls of the cliff sides. Oddities surrounded Mirō in all directions but the strangest so far had been her loud steps. Had the mountain air tainted her mind? No, the only thing she had focused on had been planned for years to come. The plan tasted so sweet she began to salivate. The thumps of her heart beat loudly and she could feel her body heat rising. Her mind had been lost to the ecstasy of ruin. Smoldering fields, screams of peril and the scent of blood. Eos Prism spoke straight to her, so she thought. Lost in the ecstasy her mind rang clear with three resounding snaps. ‘Focus. The metals had begun to mold. The end product must be hammered out to perfection.’ Naibu brought Mirō back to her senses. “This is how you must’ve felt during your war. Uwaa~ I never want this feeling to fade.” Her scarred cheeks puffed out to pout at the idea of failure and the dismissal of her emotions. Her tongue licked her lips to savor them one last time. The gold mask looked up at the starry night sky and questioned the cosmos for direction. Before those twinkling red hues a shooting star shot from the north and faded into the southern expanse. “Ah! Swayed by the cosmos again.” A psychotic smile spanned across her lips, her sharp pearly whites exposed behind her mask. Just one more hour before Kumogakure changed for good.
