Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

------------------------- Abilities

0. Shinobi 101 - Visual Genjutsu w/ Ranged Accuracy

1. Healing Factor - Daisuke hated getting hurt. He had a simple aversion to pain, especially prolonged pain. His skin, despite his occupation, was smooth as it had been when he was born, because of one simple fact: he took care of his wounds to an almost anal degree. Even during miniature spars at the Academy, the moment he was hit with a jutsu, he was quick to take a moment to dress it as quickly as possible, just so the pain would be as minimized as possible. He had done this which such an obsession that he soon became somewhat known at the academy for adequately dressing his wounds during lulls of combat, always ready to heal himself.

2. Stalker - By Raiden's lightning-spiked hair, the academy was starting to bore him to no end. Sitting in the back of the room as the day's sensei lectured them on the overly technical portion of stealth, Daisuke's eyes stared at the sensei's back with utter annoyance. He looked around at the rest of his peers, before silently slipping out of his chair and out of sight of everyone. He made not a single sound as he creeped his way to the open window, taking another peek around the room - not a single person had seen him. As he disappeared through the class through the window without a single person aware, he took a small rock and flung it at the sensei's back, eliciting a "HEY" of pure shock.

3. Initiative - Sitting deep in the trees of Kumogakure's forest, Daisuke slowly stalked his prey - a fat, juicy rabbit. It was not like he was starving or anything, but if you couldn't sneak up on a rabbit, you wouldn't be able to sneak up on any other shinobi... But what he really needed practice on was being quick on the draw, being fast. To be the stealthiest assassin, you had to be the fastest, the most ready to act. So instead of setting traps in the shadows like usual, he picked up a rock and slung it with chakra-enhanced accuracy and speed to lead the rabbit as he leapt at his prey with a shout. The rabbit took off away from his shout, unknowingly moving just as predicted so that the rock split his skull in half. Daisuke had to master taking the first, hidden action to take out his enemies before they're even aware they're in danger.

4. Trap Fanatic - Traps. They were the perfect tools for a shinobi that didn't want to be caught. When hidden well, it was nigh impossible to avoid them, and the truly creative could use them to devastating effectiveness. Though they'd only had one required academy class on traps, Daisuke had put it upon himself to go and get solo training on traps by their resident master of traps. He had spent days, weeks with the sensei, discussing traps, how to master them, and how to use them in a way that could debilitate a target enough that dispatching them would be easier than ever.

5. Poison Mastery - Poison was perhaps one of the most insidious types of tool that a shinobi could use. They could destroy a target from the inside out without them having any idea, or they could cause instantaneous pain with all manner of adverse effects. And they were perfect for Daisuke, who had slowly grown more and more towards playing with his victims through traps, poison, and confusion. So he'd given the same amount of attention to poison as he did traps, learning how to craft them, how to recognize them instantly, how to use them in a way that opponents wouldn't know what hit them.

6. Strategist - Initiative, mastery of poisons and traps, and a inherent knack for stealth wouldn't offer much to any shinobi if they didn't know how to strategize, how to use their abilities and learned skills to maximum efficiency. Luckily for Daisuke, his mind seemed to prefer devastating strategy over brute force any day, and, even as he learned how to use his new-found skills, he was already thinking of hundreds, thousands of ways to use his knowledge to set his opponents up to die upside down, tied up, blind and deaf before they could even find where he was hidden, if they ever did.

7. Summoner - Daisuke was far from a narcissist, but many people could believe he was one by the amount of time he spent mastering clone and creation jutsu of all types and elements. He wanted to be a one-man army, dependent on himself and not a single other soul. His creations and clones would elevate his strategies to a level that would do nothing but confuse an enemy into an early grave, and that is just how he wanted it. Combined with his mastery of traps and poisons, finding the real Daisuke amongst a multitude of clones whilst being bombarded with poisons and traps from every conceivable angle... Well, good luck to any who dared to try.

I messed up on my class, I want to be more stealthy....

Here's my 100 WC RP to change, and take the 35 ASP. Link to the battle rules... rule. New class ->

Umbral Stalker
HP: (40+lvl) x stamina
CP: (50+lvl) x chakra control
Class Bonus: +4 Stealth/Awareness (6)
High: Ranged Accuracy
Average: Dodge, Genjutsu Save, Ninjutsu Accuracy
Low: Melee Accuracy, Genjutsu DC

He needed to be stealthier. If he was never seen, then he could never be attacked, and he could do what he pleased to set his opponent up for a brutally swift death. Focusing on anything else as heavily as he did stealth would do nothing but hinder him, and so it came about that Daisuke damn near lived in the forest. He used most of his time to practice his chakra control in a way that kept him hidden from the creatures of the forest, so he could sneak up on them with a small attack. He never killed them unless he was hungry and felt like cooking a rabbit or fox to eat, but he certainly terrorized them as if he were the hidden prince of the forest.

----------------- I also just purchased an Ability Card.

8. Hyperactive - With his growing control over his chakra, his body slowly began to become more used to creating it. While he hated the idea of running out of chakra before he could complete a mission, his body hated the idea of dying because of chakra burn. It was a slow awakening, and Daisuke had not noticed it at first... But slowly, as he became more and more used to molding chakra in a variety of ways and for long lengths of time, his body produced more of it, often enough right as he used it. He continued to push himself to the limit, training his body to try and produce an abundance, if it could.

Updating my class for B-Rank...

Umbral Stalker (Veteran)
HP: (45+lvl) x stamina
CP: (55+lvl) x chakra control
Class Bonus: +4 Stealth/Awareness (6), +10% Bleeding Chance (2)
High: Ranged Accuracy
Average: Dodge, Genjutsu Save, Ninjutsu Accuracy
Low: Melee Accuracy, Genjutsu DC

-------------------------- Abilities

Some more ability stuff....

- Deactivating Initiative

- Deactivating Poison Mastery (w/ 100 word RP), activating Bloody Mess (w/ 100 word RP) in one go.

Poison... Poison was good. It could be moderately versatile, when used correctly. It could shut down enemies without them knowing what hit them, it could be afflicted with a single strike and left until it destroyed them from the inside. There was a wide range of them available to shinobi, and likely even more being kept hidden for a select few. The only problem, however, was that there was more than a few ways for poisons to be handled. Some shinobi had a natural resistance, able to withstand the effects with nary a shrug or a word about it. In Daisuke's eyes, it made things less desirable... But blood was universal. Everyone could bleed, and it cost nothing more than a well-placed strike to draw. It took no space on his belt, and it certainly did not take any meticulous planning or careful handling. It was a less sure thing than poisons, but the more strikes one landed, the more likely it was that you would draw blood. He could still use poisons, of course, but drawing blood was something that he was now working more on, now focusing more on. It could be just as devastating as poison, too, if left long enough; after all, bleeding out was an actual thing. (212 WC)

High: Melee Accuracy
Average: Dodge, Genjutsu Save, Ninjutsu Accuracy

For some reason, Daisuke had focused on ranged accuracy before he was even ready to use ranged attacks. Why he did so, he was unsure; maybe in preparation for future exploits, future abilities that he innately knew he would have, but currently lacked. What he did know, however, was that Melee Taijutsu, when used correctly, could be one of the deadliest disciplines to use from the shadows. And so he trained rather extensively with melee taijutsu, and had created his own weapons - blade made completely from his chakra, that he summoned from his forearms. He trained extensively enough that one could say he replaced his random proficiency with ranged weaponry... At least, temporarily.

---------------------- Jutsu Mastery

Mastering Mask Summon (D-Rank, -6 ASP), Critical Exposure (D-Rank, -6 ASP), and Chakra Sense (C-Rank, -8 ASP)

---------------------- Abilities

Dropping Summoner. I'm not going to switch it out with anything yet, I'll take the week onus.

1. ANBU Style as my free branch ability (currently in AiT Exam with Miro Kagami, I hope that counts, need it a bit earlier for the tournament sign-up).

Though he was not yet a member of the ANBU Corps, not even an ANBU in Training yet, he had been made aware of his potential for the Branch Division, and that he may soon find himself in an exam to join. As such, he had spent whatever time he could at the Academy and learned what he could from his senseis and whatever books he could find. There was, he found after days of search, a Branch Style that many in the ANBU employed; it helped their operatives in stealth, search, and capture. It did not take long before he spent quite a while mastering its stealthy capabilities.

Everything approved except your Branch Ability- it's preferred that you're a full member of your branch before unlocking the ability, so just pass your AiT exam and you're fine! Luckily, the deadline to signup and DM your information to Takeshi is February 19th, so you have plenty of time. If your ANBU exam does run late and you don't think you'll be able to complete it by then, please let me know!
