Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Keiichi stands tall and slender, his thin neck being one his more prominent features. His hair is a thick mess of hair, the majority being a dark black with thin strands of blonde he missed in dying. (Swordsman Mission) He looks as if he has aged early, the bags underneath his eyes are dark and striking. His nose is thin and ends in a sharp point just as his jawline ends with the point of his chin. He wears a leather cuirass which ends at his ribcage and his shoulders, where over his right arm lay an iron shielding. He usually wears a long dark jacket lined with fur along the neck and down the front. Sometimes wears a white jacket, zipped up all the way to the nape of his neck with the hood usually on. His pants are similar to silk in material and hang low in the crotch as the legs taper down tight to his ankles. He dons the usual ninja boot in black and also three thin golden necklaces around his neck, each one shorter than the next.

~Personality~
Keiichi feels betrayed. He, going through a rough transition in his young demonic shinobi life, feels that the ninja of the mist have left him to rot. His mother dead, his father..., Keiichi is alone and has never felt more so in his entire life. He is still reluctant to meet many people as most of his encounters have been unpleasant, yet he will go along with things as he has become quite deceptive...

~History~
A year ago Keiichi's life took a traumatic turn for the worst when his mother, pregnant with Keiichi's unborn sister, was murdered. Before this Keiichi was your average child, he played, he laughed and had friends, tons of them, but ever since the murder Keiichi has been different. Keiichi's attention has drifted ever since, he has failed every mission he has been assigned to, no matter how easy the task Keiichi seems to find a way to fail now. His heart had been torn and has yet to find any way to begin to heal it. Keiichi's father found his solace in spirits, he prayed often after his wife's passing but found no peace until he picked up the bottle, it has been six months since he has put it down.

Keiichi's father was a farmer not a ninja or a man of power but he had always wanted more for his family. Now that he lives behind the glass, his dreams for his family have drowned with the rest of him. Keiichi noticed but as his father shows no sign of wanting to improve Keiichi is reluctant to change as well. Keiichi finds himself more alone than ever but more so by his own choosing. He leaves for classes in the morning but often does not attend, he hasn't in over a month now and his new habit of smoking hasn't helped his former desires either.

Abilities

1. Shattered Reality
Proficient in the art of illusions, the user is able to ensnare their victims in genjutsu with the intent of compromising their battle awareness to open up a weak point in their defense. In some cases, they can even break such illusions to cause a sudden surge of conflict between reality and illusions that effectively damages their mentality in an instant.


Information
Prerequisites: C-Rank, Must have mastered 3 Genjutsu

Effect:
- Targets effected with the user's Genjutsu take +10% damage from all damage types. This added damage is considered Illusionary, and cannot be reduced.

Special Action - Shatter: For 0.5 AP and 5% Cp cost of the chosen Genjutsu, the user may choose to shatter their Genjutsu that is currently active upon a target to deal 375 x (Jutsu Level) as Illusionary Damage. This requires a Gen check, with the user having a +1 DC bonus. If successful, the Genjutsu is removed. If the user fails the check, the Genjutsu is removed and no damage is done.

Note:
- If the Genjutsu has been maintained for 3 or more Rounds, Shatter may not be used.

2. Mind Crush
Genjutsu can be quiet traumatizing when used by the skilled illusionist, and those with sufficient skill are able to alter the duration of their Genjutsu techniques as they see fit, inflicting pain for a longer duration to their victims, or creating a more powerful illusion by reducing the overall length.

Effect:
- A Genjutsu may have it's effects reduced by one rank to gain +2 Gen DC, or given an extra debuff/+10% by reducing it's normal length by one round and giving it -2 gen DC to all checks.

Note:
- The Round reducing effect only effects a Genjutsu that is fully effective. Should it be partially effective, the Genjutsu receives an additional -2 DC to all checks.

3. Jutsu Mastery.
The user knows their jutsu inside and out; they have such a complete understanding that they know how to conserve as much chakra use as possible and still obtain the same results as a less skilled shinobi would using far more energy.

- All Jutsu cost -10% Chakra, this includes Maintains.
- All Chakra cost penalties from choosing to use 'Special Actions' are halved.

- Example: A Special Action that requires 20% of the CP paid, would now cost 10% of the CP paid.

4. Nimble Hands
Most fighters have to drop their weapons in order to form handseals. Masters of this art are able to cast without dropping what they are holding.

Core Ability

A ninja with Demonic Ancestry had a demon somewhere along in their family tree - and has slight demonic traits waiting to be unlocked as they grow in strength. Those with Demonic Ancestry generally look the same as normal human beings, although some are known to have slight demonic features, such as runic tattoos, very dark hair, fangs, red eyes, or very small horns. However, no matter how hard they try, they will never become full demons.

Note: All techniques and buffs from this Core Ability are considered Dark.

Demonic Aura<i></i>​
- Passive (3 points) -
Restriction - C Rank and up
A person in touch with their dark side is completely surrounded by a pervading feel of evil that inspires fear in even the strongest of shinobi. Though the power of fear is nice, the aura of doom does make it hard to win the trust of others.
Effect: Every round, every other person in the battle besides the user must make a Genjutsu Save check. If they fail, all jutsu they use that round do -10% damage and they receive -1 Genjutsu DC (stacks to -2 Genjutsu DC). This stops while under the effects of Evil Sealing.[/fontsize]<i>

Akuton<i></i>​
- Dependent Special Move (3 points) -
By channeling dark energy into a jutsu, the demonic shinobi can make their attacks more powerful and of a darker nature. This can only be used with offensive ninjutsu that directly deal damage. These jutsu are now Akuton, or evil element jutsu, in addition to their other elemental properties, so effects that would normally block or absorb elemental damage are only half as effective.
Effect: The user may convert a Ninjutsu into the 'Dark' element to increases its damage by +20% and allowing it to cut through all Ninjutsu damage reduction. Jutsu used this way cost +25% Cp and cannot have their chakra cost reduced, and this may only be done once per round.

Mind Ripper<i></i>​
- Independent Special move (3 points) -
Restriction- C Rank and up, stat average of 150
By grabbing a victim’s head and channeling dark energy and evil will into their mind, a demonic shinobi can temporarily traumatize their opponent, lowering their will power, or in some cases, instantly destroying any hint of sanity.
Effect: Grabs an opponent’s head at -3 melee accuracy (-2 accuracy with Called Shot). Subsequently ravages their mind, inflicting a -3 to genjutsu resist for the remainder of the battle (this part is treated as a level 6 genjutsu). For the next 5 rounds, Â starting from the next round after the opponent is hit by Mind Ripper, they have a 20% chance for every action they take to go into temporary convulsions and lose that action. Every time these convulsions take place, the opponent takes 3% Max HP damage. The opponent can only go into convulsions once per round. Using Mind Ripper takes 2AP and can only be used once per battle, per target (if they miss grabbing their intended target’s head, it doesn’t count for this).

Devil's Trick<i></i>​
- Modification (3 points) -
Restriction- Must have Death Viewing
To a demon, death is a plaything, a mere trifle to be inflicted upon mortals. This makes their illusions of death that much more potent, their tricks much more hazardous to be caught in.
Effect: Death Viewing lasts two extra rounds and inflicts an extra -1 accuracy/dodge penalty.

Fell Drain<i></i>​
- Dependent Special Move (2 points) -
Life force from their foes can help sustain them, indeed, it is one thing to be especially afraid of when fighting a demon. Direct contact with a demon can be dangerous indeed if they invoke this technique.
Effect: Half of the damage done by the user's melee taijutsu attack can be used to heal themselves. Can only be used once every two rounds.
