Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Demonic Aura - Passive (3 points)
Restriction - C Rank and up
A person in touch with their dark side is completely surrounded by a pervading feel of evil that inspires fear in even the strongest of shinobi. Though the power of fear is nice, the aura of doom does make it hard to win the trust of others.
Effect: Every round, every other person in the battle besides the user must make a Genjutsu Save check. If they fail, all jutsu they use that round do -10% damage and they receive -1 Genjutsu DC (stacks to -2 Genjutsu DC). This stops while under the effects of Evil Sealing.

Shattered Reality.
Proficient in the art of illusions, the user is able to ensnare their victims in genjutsu with the intent of compromising their battle awareness to open up a weak point in their defense. In some cases, they can even break such illusions to cause a sudden surge of conflict between reality and illusions that effectively damages their mentality in an instant.


Information
Prerequisites: C-Rank, Must have mastered 3 Genjutsu

Effect:
- Targets effected with the user's Genjutsu take +10% damage from all damage types. This added damage is considered Illusionary, and cannot be reduced.

Special Action - Shatter: For 0.5 AP and 5% Cp cost of the chosen Genjutsu, the user may choose to shatter their Genjutsu that is currently active upon a target to deal 375 x (Jutsu Level) as Illusionary Damage. This requires a Gen check, with the user having a +1 DC bonus. If successful, the Genjutsu is removed. If the user fails the check, the Genjutsu is removed and no damage is done.

Note:
- If the Genjutsu has been maintained for 3 or more Rounds, Shatter may not be used.

As Keiichi was going through his possessive transformation the pain he felt increased by the loads. One way of him coping with the pain and enormous mental strain, was different types of meditation. Keiichi felt the most at ease, or to put in a better way, distracted from his problems, when he was focused on training his mind. Genjutsu suited him. He would push himself to the limit on mastering his Genjutsu abilities and making sure nothing would interrupt his few peaceful moments. During his latest training, Keiichi found himself entertaining the darker intentions of his ancestry, he imagined the pain he suffered from and being able to inflict it upon others. His pain turned to pleasure at the cost of others, and to him it became a warmer idea as the seconds past.

Mind Crush.
Genjutsu can be quiet traumatizing when used by the skilled illusionist, and those with sufficient skill are able to alter the duration of their Genjutsu techniques as they see fit, inflicting pain for a longer duration to their victims, or creating a more powerful illusion by reducing the overall length.

Effect:
- A Genjutsu may have it's effects reduced by one rank to gain +2 Gen DC, or given an extra debuff/+10% by reducing it's normal length by one round and giving it -2 gen DC to all checks.

Note:
- The Round reducing effect only effects a Genjutsu that is fully effective. Should it be partially effective, the Genjutsu receives an additional -2 DC to all checks.

Keiichi's imagination grew just as fast as his mind did. He was training more than ever now and the fact that the academy had silently outlawed him did not put a halt on his progression. Keiichi knew he never felt much for the academy or it's politics so as soon as he was able to be isolated- he strived. Keiichi's newest form of meditation would involve the ability to lengthen or shorten his Genjutsu. The longer he could activate one, the more at peace Keiichi felt, and he loved it. Not only did it spark his dreams and hopes of peace, but of the possibilities that he could attain.

Jutsu Mastery.
The user knows their jutsu inside and out; they have such a complete understanding that they know how to conserve as much chakra use as possible and still obtain the same results as a less skilled shinobi would using far more energy.

Effect:
- All Jutsu cost -10% Chakra, this includes Maintains.
- All Chakra cost penalties from choosing to use 'Special Actions' are halved.

Notes:
- Example: A Special Action that requires 20% of the CP paid, would now cost 10% of the CP paid.

As Keiichi's mental abilities strengthened he could feel his body longing for the same kind of peace his mind now was achieving. He ached in places he had never ached before, he was more hungry than he had ever been, Keiichi's body was telling him something and he reacted. Keiichi's physical training quadrupled in a matter of sessions and his body reacted, he no longer felt the pains that bothered him only days earlier. His overall strength was rising, his ability to control his chakra was also increasing. Due to his rigorous mental and now physical training, Keiichi's flow of chakra changed, it was steady as it had always been but now it felt different; it was that he could feel it all.

- Akuton - Dependent Special Move (3 points)
By channeling dark energy into a jutsu, the demonic shinobi can make their attacks more powerful and of a darker nature. This can only be used with offensive ninjutsu that directly deal damage. These jutsu are now Akuton, or evil element jutsu, in addition to their other elemental properties, so effects that would normally block or absorb elemental damage are only half as effective.
Effect: The user may convert a Ninjutsu into the 'Dark' element to increases its damage by +20% and allowing it to cut through all Ninjutsu damage reduction. Jutsu used this way cost +25% Cp and cannot have their chakra cost reduced, and this may only be done once per round.


- Mind Ripper - Independent Special move (3 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up, stat average of 150
By grabbing a victim’s head and channeling dark energy and evil will into their mind, a demonic shinobi can temporarily traumatize their opponent, lowering their will power, or in some cases, instantly destroying any hint of sanity.
Effect: Grabs an opponent’s head at -3 melee accuracy (-2 accuracy with Called Shot). Subsequently ravages their mind, inflicting a -3 to genjutsu resist for the remainder of the battle (this part is treated as a level 6 genjutsu). For the next 5 rounds, Â starting from the next round after the opponent is hit by Mind Ripper, they have a 20% chance for every action they take to go into temporary convulsions and lose that action. Every time these convulsions take place, the opponent takes 3% Max HP damage. The opponent can only go into convulsions once per round. Using Mind Ripper takes 2AP and can only be used once per battle, per target (if they miss grabbing their intended target’s head, it doesn’t count for this).


- Devil's Trick - Modification (3 points)
Restriction- Must have Death Viewing
To a demon, death is a plaything, a mere trifle to be inflicted upon mortals. This makes their illusions of death that much more potent, their tricks much more hazardous to be caught in.
Effect: Death Viewing lasts two extra rounds and inflicts an extra -1 accuracy/dodge penalty.

- Fell Drain - Dependent Special Move (2 points)
Life force from their foes can help sustain them, indeed, it is one thing to be especially afraid of when fighting a demon. Direct contact with a demon can be dangerous indeed if they invoke this technique.
Effect: Half of the damage done by the user's melee taijutsu attack can be used to heal themselves. Can only be used once every two rounds.

300 Word RP:

Keiichi was young but through hardships of his shinobi training he was able to grasp a fine work ethic. It wasn't until after the accident at the academy that Keiichi began to focus more on his Jutsu, primarily his Ninjutsu. Keiichi's research had already proven early that shinobi training was more than just physical exertion, but through actually researching jutsu and techniques Keiichi was finding himself drowning in pools of shinobi knowledge. It was deep in the library of the academy where he found the knowledge on elemental affinities. He had previous experience in using both earth and water ninjutsu but it wasn't until he came across this book that he was able to fully understand what the further development of those two jutsu types could mean.

Keiichi spent hours upon hours not only in the library studying but also in the field practicing his control of the two jutsu. Though his mind wandered, which meant his body was soon to follow, Keiichi was able to control his demonic urges and maintain his training through the end. It was when he cast his last jutsu of the night where he found a sprout of life pushing its way from the ground that he knew he was onto something great.

The bud was thick and full of life, it's stalk wasn't quite as bountiful but to Keiichi it was the most amazing thing he had ever seen. Life. He could bring life to this realm with his own two hands. He broke down and fell to his knees. tears just as easily sprouted from his eyes and streamed down his face. He refused to wipe his face as he stared at the plant. It had continued to grow from beyond the bud and was now slowly twirling up his own leg, gently hugging him. Keiichi reached down and pet the top of the small plant, he could feel it's energy. So many thoughts and ideas ran through his mind, with access to this new jutsu he felt like he could control everything, his urges, his emotions, life itself.

Most fighters have to drop their weapons in order to form handseals. Masters of this art are able to cast without dropping what they are holding.

His fingers were thin, just like him, and they itched. He hadn't smoked in weeks now and his body was starting to kick his ass for it. He would never admit to being addicted but right now he would find it hard to argue the point. His body didn't ache any more than it usually did, he was changing and he could feel it in more than his fingers. But right now, his fingers itched. He had begun to practice hand seals more efficiently and he was getting his movements down to a science. He would push himself by timing his complete hand seals. He even got so good he tried practicing two seperate hand signs at a time, which did not result in much outside of training the muscles in each hand. He was excellent at his hand signs, Keiichi was progressing quicker than he imagined.
