Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

  • Kai bears a spiky shoulder-length jet black hair that gives an eerie feeling if one were to get a complete view of his face, having pale skin and crimson colored eyes akin to that of a corpse and a demon mixed together into human flesh. Preferring to adorn light clothing and that of a traditional look, wearing a standard white Hakama with a black obi along with wooden getas.
  • Being a mercenary, he likes to keep his profile clear and clean as such when in a mission, wearing his signature look is when he wears his black Sokutai with golden linings, a traditional outfit of those of priests and shamans, albeit with completely opposite in color. In addition with his black Sokutai, he wears a pair of Tabi Socks and Wooden Getas.wears a white ornate kitsune mask adorned with printed tribal flames across the mask complete with two eye slits to reveal his eyes and of course as a way to actually see things.

  • [*] Kai is quite a performer and as such, has some sort of split personality depending if he's in a mission or not yet he still retains his personality, regardless of his situation. When out of missions and out of his mask, Kai is more of a sociable person who likes starting conversation and interacting with others, possessing a humble and friendly attitude and is willing to help those who are in need. Acting like his age, he enjoys being a trouble when situation calls for it, acting reckless and what not like.

    [*] When in a mission and his face obscured by his kitsune mask, Kai is calm and quiet, cold to the heart and will do everything to complete his mission even if it means forsaking his allies which he personally doesn't require seeing them as a nuisance if they fail in battle, believing that one should rely on his own strength rather than their friends.

    [*] Overall, regardless of the situation, Kai has a habit of gathering information and keeping it for himself, even if it would benefit his allies he would still refuse to do so unless completely necessary to do so.

[col][legend="• H I S T O R Y •"][spoilername="Summary"]Born from the Hikengen Clan, a powerful yet scattered group of shinobi who specializes in a special type of flame, as such locating the main home of a Hikengen Clan is almost impossible to find as one reaches a certain age, they are forced to defect from their place and roam to the world. While bearing all characteristic of that of an ordinary flame, a Hikengen's flame has special properties as such bears their unique trademark for each. Each and every clansmen has their own specialty, mainly a three group where one would find in a typical village: the defense force, the medical troupe and the reconnaissance group. Kai during his younger years showed great knowledge and medicine and herbs as such he was placed under the ranks of the medical troupe of the Hikengen Clan though it was short lived, he learned greatly from his elders who shared their knowledge to him.

During his younger years, his flame was wild and small, a sign of weakness and incoming death but as his age of coming came to be, the flame manifested itself as that of a fox, small and cunning. A rare manifestation of a Hikengen's Flame as one would typically expect the clansmen to die in a few days if one were to see a small flame though his celebration was short and he was forced to depart, he learned how to survive by himself in a foreign world.[/spoilername]

Pyromaniac

[spoilername="Pyromaniac Table"]Pyromaniacs are quite possibly the craziest of all elemental specialists. Their bond with fire has driven them to be partially insane, and sometimes even suicidal in their way of fighting.

Explosive Chakra<i></i> - Passive (3 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up
Even a pyromaniac’s chakra is unstable, making it highly volatile and extremely dangerous. While this makes their chakra a little harder to control, it makes their fire based jutsu just that much more frightening.
Effect: Due to the difficulty of controlling their chakra, all ninjutsu and genjutsu cost 5% more. However, all fire based jutsu have a +2 critical range and hit for 2.5x normal damage on critical hits instead of 2.0x normal damage.

Warmth<i></i> - Passive (2 points)
Through their bond with fire, pyromaniacs can draw energy from the warmth of the surrounding air, constantly recharging themselves.
Effect: The user regains 2% Max Cp each round. This is increased to 4% Max Cp/Rnd when Mantle of Fire is active.

Hellfire Blaze - Independent Special Move (2 points)
One truly possessed by flames is able to extend their burning soul into their very weapons, shrouding them in a huge mass of flames. This burning passion often engulfs them just as much as any foes, however.
Effect: For two rounds, attacks made with any of the user's weapons are considered Fire Element and have a 10% of "burning" any Hp damage it deals. The user takes 1.5% Max Hp each round this is active, and cannot reactivate it until a full round after it has ended.
Note: The lost HP is considered 'burned' and cannot be recovered during the battle. This applies to the user's Hp cost, as well as the weapon (if the chance succeeds)

Direct Conversion<i></i> - Independent Special Move (2 points)
Through intense willpower and spirit bordering on insanity, Pyromaniacs can directly convert their life force into chakra much more efficiently than other shinobi can.
Effect: Any amount of HP can be converted into CP at a 1 to 1 ratio. Costs 1 AP and can only be used three times in one battle.

Fire Blast<i></i> - Dependent Special Move (3 points)
By fully unleashing their fiery nature, a pyromaniac can charge a fire based jutsu far beyond normal limits, creating a highly-unstable and explosive attack that is only vaguely controlled, with wild chances to go either way in creating victory or defeat.
Effect: A chosen Fire based Jutsu deals +40% more damage and deals 25% of its total damage back to the user. This jutsu has a 20% chance to increase the damage by an additional +20%, a 30% chance to increase damage by 20% with an additional +25% backlash, and a 10% chance to become unstable and explode on the user dealing full damage to them. Only one effect may happen per use. Because of the intense power, damage from this jutsu cannot be reduced by mantle of fire. This may be used only three times per battle, and does not apply to Damage Buff Limits.

Wildfire<i></i> - Passive (3 points)
Unstable and dangerous, a Pyromaniac's mind set is one that craves destruction in the fastest, most efficient way possible. Without regards to themselves or their surroundings, they unleash scorching flames with no attempt at self control. Their flames set fire to all they touch, and their battles leave nothing but a scarred wasteland behind.
Effect: All fire based jutsu have a 20% chance to Set their targets afire, dealing 10% of the Jutsu's damage each round for two rounds. Fire based jutsu already having the chance to set targets afire are increased by 10%, and all AoE Flame techniques are increased by 8x8 feet.

Flow of Fire<i></i> - Independent Special Move (2 points)
Some call it a heat shield, others an air lance, but what it really is is protection from your enemies with a veil of flames. Everything else is irrelevant.
Effect: For 3% their Max Hp a round, the user can activate a shield of flame that encases them, granting a +2 dodge against all projectile and elemental attacks.

Burning Recoil<i></i> - Dependent Special Move (2 points)
Playing with fire is dangerous, and most shinobi are cautious when it comes to their flame techniques, and carefully take the time to properly channel their chakra to avoid harming themselves. However, this is not the case for the Pyromaniac. Missing an opportunity against an opponent for something as insignificant as their own safety is unthinkable, and they release their flames rapidly even if it means using their own body to absorb the recoil of an attack.
Effect: A Pyromaniac may use their own body to absorb the recoil of a Fire based jutsu, increasing the accuracy by +2, but also taking on +15% backlash damage. This can be done once per round.

Pyrokinetic Touch<i></i> - Modification (2 points)
Restriction- Requires Combustive Seal
Having no need for hiding and laying traps around a battlefield, why would a Pyromaniac waste time setting up for a battle when they could be fighting? Rather than taking a tactile approach, a Pyromaniac is able to unleash a blast of fire that seems to have the strength of multiple jutsu condensed, all with a single touch...
Effect: Allows a Pyromaniac to use Combustive Seal directly on a target, at -2 Melee Accuracy. This has the same effect and costs as a normal Combustive Seal, but detonates all stored jutsu automatically at the end of the round.

Ifrit Caress<i></i> - Dependent Special Move (3 points)
Restriction- Must be B-Rank
The flames of legendary fire spirits endow these specially blessed Pyromaniacs, allowing their fire to ravage their foes with reckless abandon.
Effect: The user can convert up to 5% of their current HP to damage in a fire based jutsu. This can only be done once per round and three times per battle, and does not apply to the damage buff limit. The used HP is considered 'burned' and cannot be recovered during the battle.

Fire Boost<i></i> - Boost (1 point)
Restriction- May only be purchased three times
A pyromaniac with this ability has brought out the destructive force of their fire based jutsu to the maximum, though they are no less reckless and chaotic in the execution.
Effect: Fire based jutsu deal 10% more damage, but 5% of the total damage is done to the user.

Mantle of Fire<i></i> - Jutsu (1 point, 1 to rank up)
Restriction- A-Rank and up
By wreathing themselves in flames, the pyromaniac truly becomes one with the fire, burning all around them, whether it be friend, foe, or anything in between.
Rank 1: Wreathes the user in flames that deal 100 fire damage to anyone who makes an unarmed melee attack on them or touches them in any way. While wreathed in flame, all fire damage the user would deal to themselves, including the backlash from Fire Boost, is neutralized, besides Fire Blast backlash. Fire damage from other sources is reduced by 20%. All fire damage is boosted by fire buffs, including Fire Boost, with the exception of melee damage.
Rank 2: Wreathes the user in flames that deal 150 fire damage to anyone who makes an unarmed melee attack on them or touches them in any way. While wreathed in flame, all fire damage the user would deal to themselves, including the backlash from Fire Boost, is neutralized, besides Fire Blast backlash. Fire damage from other sources is reduced by 40%. All fire damage is boosted by fire buffs, including Fire Boost, with the exception of melee damage.

Cost: 3000 CP and 3 AP to activate, 1000 CP/round to maintain

While possessing no relative purpose in battle seeing the slightest force will break the book itself, it does serve as a way for Jinouga to concentrate in a fight.

    • Amatsukami Souken - Paper Creation
      • A unique origami technique developed by Jinouga to create intricate and life-like origami ranging from animals to objects, replicating the texture and the color to make his creations appear like the real thing.

          Whenever Jinouga performs the Amatsukami Souken Jutsu, he needs the material to actually mold and fold his creations, namely a stack of paper. The size and detail of his creation is directly proportionate to the amount of paper required.

          Useful and versatile in terms of usage, it does consume a lot of chakra to create detailed objects in order to maintain the shape of his creation and the amount of chakra depends on the size of the creation itself, creating small objects such as balls and walls while creations such as animals and buildings greatly drain his chakra in a moment's notice.

          While detail of his creation is outstanding to the point it can fool ordinary people, those trained and skilled enough are capable of seeing Jinouga's chakra covering his creations, differentiating them from the real ones.[/spoilername]
    • Kinen Tekishutso - Memory Extraction
      • The first of Jinouga's technique for the Kinen process. This technique allows Jinouga to extract and write them down on his Shoseki no Omoide through chakra which can be used later for finalization.
    • Kinen Hakkan - Memory Conversion
      • The last process and the second of Jinouga's technique which allows him to remove a memory from his Shoseki no Omoide and physically manifest the said memory into a book.
        • [spoilername="Full Descriptions"]Kinen Tekishutsu and Kinen Hakkan is a set of unique Jutsus that allows Jinouga to unconsciously extract and manifest an exhausted or willing person's memory of an event into paper before compiling them and finally turning them into a book, sealed with a special chakra lock mixed with both Jin's and the person's Chakra, preventing unwanted eyes from reading such events even if the book is in their possession.

          Though there are several ways to perform the Kinen Jutsu, it only has a single strict condition that has to be followed, the person must always be willing throughout the Jutsu in order to finish the Jutsu without interruption. Once the Kinen Tekishutso Jutsu has been initiated, the person, regardless of exhaustion - they are to verbally state their experience or memory they wish to be removed, using as much details as to not leave any fragments of the events.

          As the person continue on, words are generated and pritned into Jinouga's Shoseki no Omoide from his own chakra, thus draining Jinouga's chakra as more memories are stored at once. Once the person has finished - those memories are temporarily sealed in Shoseki no Omoide for strictly a week before Jinouga can perform Kinen Hakkan to remove those memories from Shoseki no Omoide and turn them into a unique chakra book, allowing Jinouga to physically hand it down to someone without risking Shoseki no Omoide.

          THe Kinen Hakkan creates a special lock made from the person's chakra and Jinouga's chakra, preventing anyone other than the person whose memories inscribed in the book or Jinouga himself can unlock it. But in some cases, if the person were to die while they already have an existing Kinen Hakkan Book, it would break the seal and allow others access to the person's memories inscribed in the book.

          While the Kinen Hakkan is completely indestructible while sealed, there are ways to dispose these books. The first is to have the person itself whose memories are sealed in the book read it, thus returning the memory back to the owner as well as removing the physical existence of the memory. Another way is to have the person remove the seal of the book or if they have died, allows Jinouga to manually remove the seal itself. Once the seal has been removed, the book is vulnerable like any other - easily burned, torn or even drenched in water.

          If by any chance the seal has been removed thus allowing anyone to gain access of the said memory, even if read as long as it is not the person whose memory is scribe in the book, it will not disappear unlike the previous condition.[/spoilername]
