Hoshikata enters the tavern, his new white robes looking quite out of form on him. Whitish gray to be honest, and one hundred percent wool. He hated the boonies. He hated this group for ripping his last set of robes. He would have to get more when he got back home. For now, he's going to take his anger out on everyone he finds who has anything to do with the fact that he looked like a Paladin of Truth and Justice and Peace and Love and Hoshikata-dammit he looked like Shin.
Eyes turn to him, a few widening in recognition of the golden-skinned man. Light flares from the Staff of Verin as Hoshikata prepares for a fight he knew would be coming. Sure enough, the place begins to empty as a half dozen men burst from a door in the back, brandishing weapons or forming seals. As fireballs, ice bolts, lightning blasts and kunai come flying in at him, he smiles and simply disappears. The weapons all fly through the spot he was in. And then one of the fighters screams in recognition and turns, his sword gutting one of his allies before the others notice what was going on.
They manage to subdue the man, but none notice the sudden darkening of their surroundings as night swiftly comes over them. A laugh sounds from the shadows, leading to an explosion as one of them jumps the gun. From a shadow closer, a snort sounds. A lance of lightning flies into that shadow, but before hitting the darkness it rebounds and stabs into the man who cast it, sending his charred remains into a wall. The other four group together, ready for an attack and not knowing from whence it will come.
None notice, their backs to each other, the Seer appearing in the middle of them. Hoshikata taps his staff down, a pulse of kinetic force exploding out and throwing all four in different directions. A spin and his tanto flies out, going through the neck of one even as his other hand pierces the spine of a second. And then he leaps out the door, vanishing from sight into the darkness.
The two survivors run out, looking around. One points, spying the hiding Seer, but the other is too slow to notice the Staff, flying like a spear, as it take shim in the chest and punctures his heart. A call of force pulls the weapon back even as the last rushes in with a battleaxe.
Hoshikata kicks the staff into a spin his hands, turning and knocking the axe aside as he releases the hidden blade of his own weapon. The blade flies up with momentum, lifting the man into the air before the spin stops with the point aimed at the man. A powerful throw sends it through him, man and staff flying before a string of kinetic energy pulls his tanto back to him and the staff also. As the man flies in at him, the staff firmly embedded in his gut, the tanto cleaves his head from his shoulders.
The man who attacked him earlier had frequented this bar. That it was housing the group who sought his death was no obvious. Hoshikata retrieves his gear, before turning and setting the place ablaze with a fire jutsu.
And then the golden god walks off, heading back to the city for proper clothes.
