Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The Chronicles of Kyo-MoonRelated Information
Kyo sat in the same spot he did for his last tutor session with Siu overlooking the forest surrounding Kumogakure. The village was clearly visible from where he sat upon the cliff having a campfire built to warm himself up. Dakota sat next to Kyo by the fire, waiting for the students to arrive.

There was a vast contrast between the two letters sent to the children. One looked well-written, if not slightly crude in the way things were addressed, while the other one looked like it was written by a 4-year-old with large, written letters with pictures of a monster eating people on the paper -- in red crayon. Obviously, the two letters weren't written by the same people. [lb2][/lb2]
Kyo simply sat and waited, having some meat on a skewer over the fire.

"Keeping your wolf out of trouble, Dakota?" I stated as I strode up to the pair's location, uninvited. I raised my hand in peace before anything started, tossing Kyo a beer from a six pack in my backpack that I had swiped a couple blocks back. I was willing to bet it'd be pretty damn awkward if he didn't catch it and it just shattered on the ground, but I wouldn't say anything if it did. Whether or not he caught it did really matter as I was going to continue on unheeded, anyway. I was quick to notice the meat he had roasting in the fire pit and gave it a casual sniff. I frowned at what I found and quickly applied some salt from one of my pouches. I would've put pepper on it, but I didn't carry that on me. Salt at least had a good number of uses outside of cooking. Like banishing spoopy ghosts and evil demons. I had learned that fact from Suika and her ghosty ways.

"How can you cook meat without salt? You really are a fucking savage!" I said in mock outrage as I took a seat on the other side of his firepit. I Dragged some loose metal from the surrounding area over to me and was able to fashion a stump to sit on. I even made it into the shape of my ass just because I could and was rewarded to find that it was damn comfortable.

Looking over at the guy who had more than a year ago healed me in the Kumo forest after falling out of a tree and then took me on a wild goose chase, it was good to see him again, even if he was a bit of a wank. Then again, so was I. Maybe there was some kindred-ness in that aspect. Regardless, it didn't take me long to get relaxed in this position near the fire. I was already right at home.

Unsure since when they were supposed to take care of little animals, Shizuka tried to feed it regularly and whenever she forgot to her mom helped out. In any case, the rabbit made it through the couple of weeks without starving. Of this Shizuka was pretty proud. That’s why the moment the note asking for her to bring the little animal with her arrived, she frowned. If this was written by a child then how did they post it? If not, then why in the world was it written this badly?

All of it made very little sense, but she ended up bringing the small ball of fur with her to the instructed location. With a lightly packed backpack she made her way toward the scent of smoke. This vaguely reminded her of some of the previous field trips she’s been in, but the idea of bringing a rabbit to one of those seemed quite ridiculous. It’s why her lips twisted into a wide smile when she saw Kyo - eyes lighting up a little - she couldn’t help but calling out.

“Who ordered a rabbit?” She joked, showing the small cage she was holding with both hands.

Feeling the little creature shift in its home when it sensed the direwolf, Shizuka placed it next to a large stone, not too close to the fire. Perhaps it would be able to relax there, assuming the enormous wolf wouldn’t turn it into a snack.

“Hi, there~” The words were stretched a bit, she lazily grinned toward the stranger on the other side. This was someone she hadn’t seen before. It had her wondering if they had been the ones to send the letter or had gotten one too.

“The name’s Shizuka.” she nodded, settling closer to the wolf than to anyone else. Every time she saw her Shizuka felt like hugging the fluffy creature. There was something enticing about the beast which had been so gentle and protective back when they had slept outside. The memory had her feeling all fuzzy again.

“What the hell?”

Suika stared incredulously at a small, metal cage delivered to her door. Inside, to her surprise, was a baby bunny. The kunoichi was usually gung-ho about cute animals, but she was taken back by the sudden responsibility. Also, she was still a bit hurt from her cat's recent passing, so it was difficult to fathom moving on to another pet.

...well, it was adorable, at least.

The girl grasped her caged rabbit and took him inside her apartment. Two weeks to raise this animal? That wouldn't be too bad, she figured. Reading further instructions, Suika knelt to the frantic bunny's level and shot him an assured wink. “Don't worry, Cottontail-san! For at least these next two weeks, I got you.” And that she did.

For the next fourteen days, Suika made sure her assigned animal received a balanced vegetarian diet alongside her attempts at obedience training. Cottontail wasn't particularly intelligent like Blackberry, but he proved pretty responsive to the girl's commands. It wasn't long until the bunny was adapted to life outside of his little barred home. He roamed the kunoichi's apartment freely and would abide by her calls. Impressed with his progress, she was ready to showcase her animal to whoever had assigned her task. Suika received another letter in the mail.

“Drunken sensei? Or do they have a kid that handles their PR? Whatever.” Hugging her semi-plump bunny into her petite arms, the kunoichi readied herself for the pilgrimage ahead. She wasn't sure who was appointed her teacher or why he/she had her raise an animal, but her mind could only wander. “Maybe they want to eat Cottontail... that'd suck for him.” she pondered as she gazed at her helpless little assignment. Normally she'd be protective over such tiny creatures, but again, the death of her familiar left her somewhat bitter. Besides, she never really liked bunnies.

Suika trailed outside the village and followed the poorly drawn map to the mountains. No stranger to its rocky terrain, she casually hiked up its rugged surface as she caught whiff of a burning campfire not too far off. She was close. As soon as she reached the top, she caught sight of four figures, one she instantly recognized. Suika approached the group and bowed her head. “Suika and Cottontail, present as instructed.” she nodded. Her magenta eyes then flickered toward the one-armed shinobi who sat on a small stump. “Yo, Eishi.” She hadn't been around the boy since their adventure in Tea, so it was nice to see him here and well. The others, however, were strangers. By process of elimination, she assumed the red-headed man, probably around his late teens, was her instructor. He sat cooking skewers alongside a giant, snow-coated wolf. Suika's expression gleamed with fascination as she examined the large beast.

“Beautiful...” she admired. Cottontail, on the other hand, shook at the canine's presence as his heart-rate almost tripled. Catching notice, Suika glanced down and patted her furry friend on the head in attempts to pacify his anxiety. “Poor Cottontail... he's probably a goner.” She wasn't completely sure, but she felt as if his fate was already sealed as she observed the set-up.

Within the group was another young girl. She didn't possess a shinobi headband like the rest of the group, so it was safe to assume she was a student. Like Suika, she carried a rabbit, but hers was caged. What was the man's angle with these tiny creatures? They would soon find out. Suika patiently awaited further instructions from her designated sensei.

The Chronicles of Kyo-MoonRelated Information
A familiar voice called out to him as he had some mysterious meat on a stick hovering lightly over the fire. The smell of the meat sizzled, carrying on in the air even through the blistering cold wind. Kyo wasn't seen eating any of this meat, not valuing the flavor of cooked meat (unless it was bird, that has to be cooked), but the smell certainly interested Dakota. Her eyes were plastered upon the bobbing stick as Kyo simply used the smell of the meat as bait for the children he was to instruct. As he was waiting, he moved a hand into his bag, pulled out a cigarette and lit it with his thumb before taking a deep drag, blowing the smoke right onto the meat. [lb2][/lb2]
Dakota's eyes remained plastered on the meat for a moment, ignoring the words from the child who Kyo had dubbed 'Little Loogie' from one of their missions. Kyo's eyes turned to look towards the boy as he tossed a beer his way. Kyo placed the cigarette in his mouth and held it here to catch the beer before putting it into his pouch. Right now wasn't the right time to be drinking; as much as he could use the drink. One thing about the boy that caught his eyes was what he DIDN'T have on him. Kyo's left eyebrow started to twitch involuntarily. After the boy took a seat, without invitation, next to Kyo, Kyo pulled the cigarette out of his mouth and blew out a plume. "Where the fuck is your rabbit?" he simply asked in an even tone.[lb2][/lb2]
Kyo's eyes caught Shizuka and he nodded, pointing the skewer holding the meat out towards the girl carrying the bunny. "Even the girl can follow directions. Seems like she got my note about coming here. Don't know how you did and FORGOT the damn rabbit," Kyo said as he used the skewer with the cooked meat on it like a wand, using it to help him dictate his words all the while Dakota's eyes continued to follow the cooked meat upon it. Kyo's dismissive use of the skewer is a clear sign that he probably wouldn't eat it. Dakota doesn't care, she's just waiting for the meat to go flying off so she could go fetch. Her will-power was slowly waning. [lb2][/lb2]
Kyo waved to Shizuka and directed her to have a seat by the fire. As Shizuka settled closer to the wolf, Dakota didn't seem to pay her any mind. A very rare occurrence for anyone, except her. Another face showed up with a rabbit, even going as far as naming it. Kyo turned to look towards Eishi and noted his lack of bunny. "Even the other girl brought their rabbit. Does this village breed idiots for males and have the females be the superior ones in this village?" Kyo asked before remembering the little Nanjirou girl that freaked out and left during his last class and went pan-faced for a moment. "Nevermind. Forget I said that," he said. He directed Suika and Cottontail to a seat around the fire. After the girl settled down, Kyo removed the meat from the skewer and tossed the hot pieces to the wolf, causing the creatures to catch it in her mouth only to drop it on the snow to eat it. "I don't taint the flavor of meat with salt. Besides, I don't eat cooked meat," Kyo lately responded to Eishi's bantering earlier.[lb2][/lb2]
"Well, now that 2 out of 3 of you were able to follow my instructions," Kyo said as he paused to look at Eishi for a moment. After the brief, yet awkward moment, Kyo continued by saying, "Loogie, introduce yourself. Everyone else, introduce yourself, introduce your fluffy friend, and explain to us what you did to take care of them. Did you form a bond with them? Go into great detail," Kyo said before putting a couple more nuggets of meat onto the skewer and began to heat them up over the fire. Their fat started to liquify and drip down onto the fire, causing a little sizzling noise to be heard when the oil struck the heart of the flame. Even if Eishi's ability to listen was questionable, hopefully he will listen to Kyo's orders this time and actually properly introduce himself.

I could only frown at his words as I grabbing out a beer for myself. I used the metal of the cap to peel it off using magnetism before being flung at a tree way off in the distance. I pumped in victory as a loud 'Thunk!' could be heard in the distance. I could only assume the cap was now embedded into the tree. It was always the little joys in life that never got old. Anywho, I decided to answer Kyo like I was dealing with the slow kid in class.

"Why would you expect me to have a rabbit? I'm the only one here who seems he wasn't invited. Besides, I bought the drinks." I put down my own drink to shake my bag full of beers before picking my own back up,

"If you're gonna cook these rabbits, I've done my part," I said in exasperation while raising my bottle to Suika in acknowledgment that I had heard her. When she was actually a bit closer to us, I'd just give her a slight smile and speak.

"Sup, ho? How you been?" I said in familiarity as I took a sip of my drink, waiting for the other two to get themselves seats around the fire or something. By that point, Kyo was telling everyone to introduce themselves. I was surprised he still remembered the retarded nickname he had given me more than a year ago. it had pretty much been forgotten by me, so it was a nice chuckle to hear. Either way, I wasn't going to correct him on it. He was still more or less a benefactor to me from back then, so I gotta show some respect.

"You heard Suika, everyone was here for it. Name's Eishi," I said, once more lifting my bottle in a sorta cheer/greeting as I leaned back, relaxing as I got a good whiff of what cottontail and the other bunny were likely soon going to be smelling like.

Only when she had settled down did she notice that there was something going on with the boy’s arm. Not feeling like staring too much, as not to come across as rude, she kept to herself and made it a goal to get a closer look later on. For now her attention swiftly shifted to the next new face. Suika, not anyone she’s met before. The girl, probably as tall as Shizuka, appeared quite friendly and easy-going. Unlike the other stranger who was drinking something from a can now, she was someone Shizuka would connect with should it be required.

Letting them talk while watching the wolf devour its meal she wondered why she was here, among ninja who wore a forehead protector while she had none. If this was some sort of exercise, and by now she was pretty certain that it was, then she hoped it wouldn’t turn into one of showing off skills. Those who had graduated just had to be better, so it would turn out to be a waste of time to try to measure up against them. Perhaps later, when she too would be a Genin or higher, she could challenge them for a spar of sorts.

“I’m Senju Shizuka and this.. ehm, I didn’t really name him.. or her.” Gesturing toward the cage that held the rabbit she shrugged unsure where to start explaining how she had taken care of it. In all honestly she hadn’t done much, and she definitely hadn’t bonded with it enough to mention it. They lacked the connection. It was a cute little thing, though.

“Grass, cabbage hmm some carrots, a green apple now and then. It’s funny when they eat anything red. Well, at least this one, he really looked like a crazy demon who’s just devoured an innocent child.” Grinning she recalled having given the bunny some red berries. The juice had seeped into its white fur and left trances not unlike blood.

“That’s pretty much it.” Slightly narrowing her eyes, she leaned a little to the side. “Why? Is he to be Dakota’s second snack?”

“Lord...” the girl thought as she rolled her eyes at Eishi's statement. She wore a slight grin throughout to express that her irritation wasn't too serious. This was Eishi, after all. If there was a day he wasn't a bit brash or crude, Suika would be pretty concerned. She did almost want to laugh when their red-headed instructor ripped on the one-armed ninja. It was likely that he deserved it, seeing that he, indeed, lacked a bunny like she or the other girl did. Was he even invited? Probably not. Suika shrugged it off.

Their brazen instructor, who hadn't introduced himself yet, then ordered the girls to give details of their rabbit-raising experience. Before the kunoichi could respond, the other girl, now identified as Senju Shizuka, gave an account of her last two weeks with the furball. Her last assertion, more like a prediction, resonated as a high probability from Suika's perspective. There was a giant wolf, a meat-loving teacher, a burning campfire, and two students with plump game. It wasn't too difficult to connect the dots.

Suika responded next with a simple tone. She kept it professional and brief. “My name is Suika and this is Cottontail.” The small bunny was still shivering. Even he knew his own fate as he stared into the eyes of the white direwolf. “As instructed, I fed him a vegetarian diet that consisted of hay, lettuce, carrot tops, celery, apples, pellets, and water. Within two weeks, I've trained him to roam around my place without his cage. He obeys simple commands, but he really isn't that intelligent. He also isn't socialized, which explains why he's quivering in fear right now, especially in front of predators...” She shot a glance at the man's canine. For a second, she empathized with her unfortunate critter; she'd be scared out of her socks, too. Suika's eyes trailed back to the fiery man as she nodded.

“That's about it. I have no true bond with him, to be honest, but I did my best to raise him for the assigned time. That is all.” Suika took her seat at the campfire as she awaited further instruction from her sensei.

The Chronicles of Kyo-MoonRelated Information
Kyo's eyes darted towards Eishi for a moment and the vein in his forehead started to pulsate. He had a plan for him to make him useful. The students started to speak about their experiences with these rabbits and, he'd expected girls of all people, to have grown SOME kind of attachment to the cute and cuddly rabbit provided for them. Shizuka asked if the rabbits were to be a meal for Dakota. With a single shake of his head, he hooked a thumb towards Eishi. "Not enough meat. But I'd throw that moron at her to eat. But most people would call that murder," he simply stated with a look of annoyance crossing over his face. Afterward, the girl he had never met, Suika, decided to speak on about her experience with the rabbit. She, too, didn't really seem to form a bond with the rabbit.[lb2][/lb2]
"Man, you two aren't any fun. The purpose of this class was to see how well you all deal with loss. Since that isn't going to happen, allow me to teach you all another lesson," Kyo said as he cleared his throat and stood up, stepping back away from the fire. "I want you to kill your rabbit. If you have a blade, use that. If you don't have a blade, it looks like you'll have to use your bare hands. Make it quick," he said as he looked over the students. He doesn't know how they'd react to Kyo's new command or how they'd take it. A small part of him hopes they'd break and not be able to do it while another part of him hopes they'd do everything by the book. [lb2][/lb2]
"Since you don't have anything to kill, Mr-Uninvited, I have something for you to do after they kill their rabbits," he said as he simply sat back and watched. Might as well make a free-loader do some work and do something instead of having him linger around doing absolutely nothing.

“I'll start.” asserted the kunoichi as she formed an ethereal dagger with her free hand. Without any hesitation, she plunged her pointed blade into Cottontail's vital point. She felt the life of her bunny fade away in less than a second. Due to her knowledge in anatomy, she was able to make her rabbit's execution quick, painless, efficient, and without mess. She glanced up toward the red-headed instructor with a calmed expression.

“The deed is done, Sensei. Anything else?”

She then quietly awaited for Shizuka's response and further instruction from her seemingly violent teacher. For the record, it didn't pleasure the girl to commit the deathly act she did. She typically cared for most living life, or tried to, but she also realized the inevitable. Bunnies were considered game, often hunted for their pelts, meat, or for sport, so Suika was prepared before this meeting for Cottontail's probable passing. It did feel a bit unnecessary, but she leaned on the theory that the man had a purpose for this little exercise. If not, then her sensei was demented. That was likely, too, considering her view on the world of shinobi.

"Also, I wonder what he has in store for Eishi?" It was a fleeting thought, but she held vague curiosity about Eishi's soon-to-be-role.

I made a farting noise while giving Kyo a raspberry as he talked about being disappointed at the two girl's reaction. I simply sighed before speaking derisively.

"Please Kyo, these girls aren't stupid. Killing off cared for animals is not new or unexpected. Lots of military programs have you take care of a chicken, rabbit, hell even a dog before telling them to slit their throats near graduation. Same bullshit or the next about not getting attached" Waving my arm dismissively as I that last bit looking at Dakota, no real reason for it, but I hope it emphasized the point.

It was at that point that I had noticed that Suika had already slit her bunnies throat,

"Case in point, Suika. A girl after me own heart," my tone raising a few octaves, almost made me sound truly touched, like an old sailor reminiscing about his girl back at his home port as I took another swig of my beer. I was already on my second and my next to nothing body mass and lack of any real tolerance was giving me quite a strong head buzz. I didn't respond to Kyo or his bait, he had yet to actually tell me to do anything, so I was content to just continue to casually sit there until he said something important.

The girl Shizuka seemed content with being out of the spotlight or specifically Kyos ire. Probably was a good move, I was likely going to get into a fight with Kyo and Dakota before my time was up here as it were. Just one of those social norms when two angsty teens meet with one another. No wonder gangs were such a problem in slums when they were filled with macho dumbasses like Kyo and myself I chuckled to myself in contemplation. It ended up bring a devious smile to my face as I finished off my beer. I was really getting into the camping spirit now.

The instructions he gave them weren’t anything unusual or unexpected. However, what bothered her about them was the fact that it seemed like a waste to kill it for no reason. He had just said that they wouldn’t provide enough meat to feed Dakota, so, unless he planned for them to eat the rabbits she didn’t see a reason to slit its throat. That’s why while Suika followed the ‘order’ without any hesitation, Shizuka took it upon herself to open her mouth in protest.

“Kyo-san, are we going to eat them?” Posing the question with a glitter to her eyes she took out the white rabbit from its home. The little thing was already beyond stressed out. She could imagine that both Dakota and the smell of its fellow rabbit’s blood had a part to play in that.

Quietly keeping the thing in her lap, she waited. “Because if we’re not it seems unnecessary to kill them, or well, this one, it’s too late for the other one.” Shrugging a bit, the future kunoichi kept her gaze on her tutor, eyes holding a certain amount of curiosity. She wondered what he would do.

There were a couple of paths he could take from here. Either they were about to eat them, then everything was fine, even if she wasn’t that hungry. Or.. he could get mad for her questioning his instructions, which would be a shame. Then, there was always the possibility of him explaining his reasoning, she knew that she would probably value that one the most.

Her eyes briefly shot toward Suika, then to the blood stained lifeless creature she held. Meat was meat, they all knew that much, and they all had come into contact with what Eshi was saying. “There is the getting attached part, like he’s just explained,” she paused, looking at the guy drinking what she assumed to be beer. “but there is also the doing pointless things part.”

She wasn’t entirely sure which one it was in this case, obviously they hadn’t gotten attached to the rabbits, so she figured things were leaning to the second option unless she was missing the point.

The Chronicles of Kyo-MoonRelated Information
It was Suika's turn; she took the initiative to begin. Kyo gave the girl a nod of approval before his thoughts were broken up by the childish stupidity that was Eishi. Why he bothered keeping the twerp around was still beyond him. He raised a single hand with his palm facing towards Eishi. He slowly moved his palm to where it was just mere inches from his face. The desire to crush this defiant moron's head grew and grew. He eventually pressed his palm against Eishi's face as a means to shut him up. He didn't have any knowledge of how other militaries operated nor did that really bother him. He had a reason for doing this and Eishi's moronic ramblings wasn't helping. "If you don't want to be here, I recommend leaving, little booger. Your stupid comments aren't contributing to the lesson," he simply stated without bothering to look the boy in the eyes while he said that. His eyes were glued to the aftermath of Suika's work. "Throw it down at the loud-mouth's feet," he said as he looked Suika in the eye. He wanted to see how she'd react to killing this creature. "If you don't shut up, I'm going to murder you," he said as Eishi continued.[lb2][/lb2]
He turned his eyes back towards Suika and sighed outward. "Please do not breed with this ingrate. There are others better suited to pass down your genes with," he said before lowering his hand down from Eishi's face and then turned his attention towards Shizuka. He nodded to her as if to give her permission to continue. "Kill it first and then I'll tell you," he said in response to Shizuka's initial question. He looked her straight in the eyes with a piercing gaze. Kyo doesn't kill people nor other animals unless there was a reason. He wouldn't needlessly kill things, now-a-days, so he just gave her a reassuring look and another nod. Shizuka hesitating, seemingly in conflict with herself. [lb2][/lb2]
Kyo groaned and let out a sigh. He retook his seat on the log. "Yes, we're going to eat it after we are done. The whole point of this lesson, the whole point of you two taking care of your rabbits is to, yes, grow attached to it. The whole reason I'm telling you to kill it is to outline that you will end up receiving orders you don't like. Orders to kill your family or friends for the sake of the village. The needs of the pack far outweighs the needs of the individual. You must keep an even head when given orders, even if you don't like it, to perform your duties as a shinobi. So you don't grow up to become bumbling morons like that guy," he said as he hooked a thumb to Eishi. [lb2][/lb2]
"Yes, he's probably the last person you'd want to emulate. He's brash and stupid. But even if he's brash, stupid, and doesn't listen very well," he said with a pause before turning to look towards Eishi for a moment before turning to look towards Shizuka. "Even stupid people have a purpose. As a shinobi, your purpose will be to do things -- awful things -- that you might not like. In this case, killing that rabbit," Kyo said as that was his queue to the girl to actually do it.

I leaned back in my seat as Kyo came at my face with an open palm, noticing he had stopped where my face had been as I lay almost prone on my stump, left me with an interesting angle. It was unexpected that that was how he planned to deal with me, but the attack itself hadn't been, I had been waiting for something to boil over. It was when he had gone to attempt to cover my face, that I hooked the side of my foot onto the metal stump and flung it up into his face as I pushed off from it. The momentum of pushing off skidded me on the ground for a good three or four meters before I was able to correct myself and rolling into a standing position. If nothing else, the display was impressive as I looked in my right hand, making sure I still had an unopened third can. I corrected that status a moment later as I listened in on what Kyo had to say as I took a couple sips.

Kyo still hadn't told me what to do, but at this point, I'm sure I had derailed the class to the point of oblivion as it were. Originally I hadn't even planned on doing so, but when you put a rabid dog and a honey badger in the same cage, one generally does end up dead. Anyway, when he began to go off on how much of a simpleton he assumed I was, I got a good chuckle or two out of it. Suika already knew me pretty well, so the other girl was the only one possible to influenced by anything he had to say. I questioned if I cared enough about the girl's opinion to defend myself, but simply decided to let him finish before responding. There was no point in trying to respond early while he was speaking and getting myself flustered.

"I have a doctorate in medicine and am an assistant to one of Kumo's surgeons. You were a wild child until you were a teenager, don't patronize me, cur," I chuckled an empty laugh at my own insult, the smile on my face not quite reaching my eyes. I wasn't pissed so much that he called me stupid as I was that he assumed he knew me well enough to make that claim. I hadn't seen him in a little over a year and while back then was unfriendly between us, I was starting to enjoy the rising temperatures at the campsite that didn't come from the fire in the center of it.

Besides, what had I done besides comment, drink beer, and put salt on his raw skewer and Kyo himself? If he didn't like what I had to say, sure he could try to silence me, but that was a lost cause and a half if he expected it to work. I wasn't weak enough that I couldn't escape, and he wasn't strong enough to stop me from doing so. Either way, I was ready for anything~

Please note, we, as Council, have been requested to intervene on this thread and review it's contents and merit for tutor rewards.

While it is not against the rules to invade topics without permission, it is considered a very discourteous action. Additionally, the IC input that was provided that did not follow the moderator's intentions, creating a frustrating situation and derailed the intention of the thread. As to not punish the individuals who did participate properly, Council decided that participants will only receive rewards if the moderator (Kyo) deems it appropriate. If the moderator decides to fail you, you will not receive tutor rewards for this topic.

This is a warning. If actions such as this is brought to our attention again, we will be required to change how loose we are with tutors which will affect all members of our community.

After the deed was done, the kunoichi quietly observed Shizuka's portion of the task. Unsurprisingly, the girl had a bit of hesitation about the necessity of killing the rabbit. It was nice to see someone here had a heart. Although, Suika suspected her sensei wouldn't be too thrilled with the girl's momentary disobedience. Having done a similar exercise in the past, it was obvious to her that this was an obedience test of some sort. Eishi seemed to grasp that earlier, but she doubted that he understood the concept of what “obedience” was in its entirety. Suika's expression slowly grew half-lidded as the one-armed boy engaged in a type of banter with their red-headed instructor.

He persisted.

It was apparent, at this point, that Kyo was frustrated with the Nanjirou's attitude. Suika, being Eishi's teammate and friend, was numb to it, but she definitely recognized how irritating his brashness could be to many. As the two continued to bicker, she couldn't help to feel a little annoyed herself. Their game of ping-pong was a waste of their breath and effort and, most importantly, her and the Senju's time. Suika tapped her foot impatiently as her dead rabbit lied lifelessly in her arms.

First and foremost, she awaited Shizuka's response out of courtesy for the girl. Once the student complied (or not) with their instructor's order, Suika would follow suit with her own plan of action. Abiding by Kyo's earlier demand, the kunoichi tossed the slain rabbit at Eishi's feet. Her magenta eyes, although usually calm, exuded a calloused frigidity. Her tone was direct and simple.

“Eishi, Cottontail. Cottontail, Eishi. Believe it or not, you two have three big things in common.”
Suika held up her fingers in a gestural display. “One, both you and that rabbit are at the mercy of your superiors. As I was his master, so is Kyo-sensei to you at this very moment. It is foolish, no, deadly to ignore that hierarchy. Even you're not that dense, Eishi-kun.” The Genin didn't hold back as she continued her verbal onslaught. “Two, you're both very much expendable. Cottontail is gone and life resumes for me as normally. So would your death in the eyes of the village. You boast accolades and showcase your prodigious talent, but don't be so naive to think you're irreplaceable in terms of sheer ability.” Her mouth curved into a slight grin. Typically, she didn't aim to be so harsh, but she knew Eishi could handle it. He wasn't so sensitive to be knocked down by a few reprimanding words. Hopefully, however, he would learn something by it. “Three, and last point, Eishi-kun. Just like Cottontail, even death will shut you up one day. Perhaps discretion should be well-considered before then?” She placed a fist on her side as she held her hand out. “Don't take this too personally, Eishi-kun. All I'm saying is to shut your trap.”

She then shifted herself to the rest of her group. The tenseness that built in her throughout the whole fiasco now subsided as her demeanor appeared loosened. “My apologies, Kyo-sensei and Shizuka-san.” It was in that moment, too, that she realized she might have gone too overboard in correcting her one-armed friend. Though, if Suika cared any less for Eishi, she would have simply remained silent and have allowed the situation to proceed in its foreseeable route. For his sake, and for the whole party's, she made the decision to intervene. Her senses warned her, too, that Kyo was not one to meddle with. There was an aspect about him, perhaps deriving from his subtle, yet feral aura, that warned her to tread lightly. In a sense, her reproof was to also defuse a possible time-bomb and shield Eishi.

I mean, the boy needed to learn to tighten his lips, too. Hopefully her own actions weren't too disruptive over Kyo's goals for this lesson.

The men showed off, that’s the only way she could see the things happening before her eyes at this point. Stubbornness clashing in a wild manner and producing nothing of value. Testosterone exploded violently. Still, she kept silent, her opinion locked between her firmly closed lips and hands holding the terrified rabbit tightly enough for it not to flee. Its little heart threatened to jump through its chest, so when Kyo said that they would, indeed, eat them, she nodded.

It was here and now that she chose to believe her teacher, the fact that he explained herself the moment she hesitated allowed her to pour her trust into him. Still, he seemed to miss her point, otherwise she wasn’t sure why he was so angrily rambling about something she wasn’t trying to turn into a problem. Hence, with a somewhat confused look forming across her face, she quickly snapped the rabbit’s neck.

“It’s not like I don’t like it, it’s that I didn’t see the purpose of doing it, but now you’ve said that it’s to be our dinner, so it makes sense to kill. If it hadn’t been, then it would seem like a waste.” Still holding onto the creature she allowed Suika to tear Eshi a new one while lazily blinking with her eyes. Half through the girl’s speech Shizuka put the rabbit on the ground, closer to Kyo than herself so he could pass it to Eshi whenever the latter was in a state to deal with their future snack.

Admiring Suika from her cosy spot at the fire the young Senju noted to talk to her later. The kunoichi appeared to be full of fire and reason. Those were things Shizuka could respect. The fact that Suika was fairly small and looked quite young as well made her a bit more approachable too. Perhaps they could get to know each other during a cup of tea or while getting some green apple ice-cream. Or sesam!, her mind screamed quite enthusiastically.

“N-no, no problem at all, Suika-san.” she nodded in the girl’s direction, then made herself comfortable to wait -for what she assumed was going to be- some grilled rabbit.

The Chronicles of Kyo-MoonRelated Information
Kyo blinked a couple times before looking at his palms. He looked back towards the bobsled known as Eishi for a brief moment. He only meant it to be a light shove, not a devastating, world-moving push. Who needs Shinra Tensei when you have the Buddha's Palm? Eishi decided to fire-back and Kyo's face started to grow extremely red with veins popping out of his forehead. He tried his hardest to restrain himself. He doesn't wanna leave with another black eye from the village. "See me after this lesson. I have a personal lesson to teach you," he said. It wasn't going to be a lesson that Eishi's going to want; it was a lesson that Eishi so fervently deserved.[lb2][/lb2]
It wasn't until Suika spoke did a little grin crack across his face. Everything she said was true. Even Kyo, himself, was expendable. Nobody, except the leadership of the village, cannot be easily replaced. The girl easily put Eishi in his place, but that still won't deter him from carrying out his 'private lesson' that he plans on having with Eishi after this tutoring session was completed. "Correct. No need to apologize. Everyone in the village other than the leadership is expendable. Everyone here, including myself and Dakota, are completely expendable. Our lives have no value in this system of shinobi. Just like nature, we mean nothing. A simple storm could kill all of us if it so desired such as a simple attack on a village could easily kill all of us. All-in-all, the village won't care if you die. Much like the bunny. People may care that the bunny has died, but overall, the village doesn't give a shit," Kyo simply stated before returning the nod to Suika. "Well said," he said to her before moving his attention towards Shizuka, the hesitant.[lb2][/lb2]
She finally performed the deed, snapping the bunny's neck. Kyo stood up and gathered all of the corpses and started to skin the creatures. He didn't have the patience to let Eishi teach them so he did it himself. "Have a seat, all of you," Kyo said before cleaning and gutting the animals and eventually put them on a spit over the fire he had. While the rabbits cooked, Kyo began another rant for the lesson. "You won't have the luxury of questioning orders from your superiors," he said to everyone, but more directed towards Shizuka. "Whether the orders are good or bad really doesn't matter. Your job is to follow orders regardless of the morals attached to it. When you become a shinobi, you are no longer a human. You become a weapon, remember that. Your thoughts and feelings about things do not matter and some may even consider questioning as a form of treason. This is the life you have chosen and that is a truth you will have to endure for choosing this life, I can't say I pity any of you for making the decision," Kyo stated as he continued to turn the rabbits until they were fully cooked.[lb2][/lb2]
After the rabbits were fully cooked, he handed the rabbits, still skewered on the sticks to Shizuka and Suika. "Don't share with Lil Loogie. Don't share with Dakota, she already ate," Kyo said as he eyeballed the creature sitting behind Shizuka, her eyes staring intently on the cooked meat. She doesn't normally hunger for meat like this. [lb2][/lb2]
"Anyway, you two are free to leave. Eishi, you stay," Kyo said before turning his eyes towards Eishi upon the command. He wouldn't let Eishi leave, not after the series of jabbering comments he had to endure while also trying to focus on the lesson for these two. It was about that time to teach him a well-deserved lesson. He then turned his head towards the other two, "Unless you want to stay behind and watch my lesson to Eishi, I suggest leaving right now."

I sniffled through one nostril at Suika's words, my face remaining neutral and uncaring, but I didn't refute her or argue their point. I had enough enemies, I didn't need to destroy one of the few good relationships I had by letting my venomous tongue loose. I had to wonder where this had come from. I had never questioned of my own importance, rather it had been a statement to refute Mr. high and mighty. I stood there for a moment, waiting and finding nothing more occurring I let my guard down slightly as I dumped out the rest of my third beer, the taste in my mouth and my growing sobriety warding me off. It had seemed I had egged on Kyo to the point of rage and Suika was trying to butt in before anything happened. I got the gesture, but it was wasted. Kyo and I were too similar in a lot of ways, too abrasive, too set in our own ways to ever see eye to eye. Whatever, any debt I thought I owed him was done as far as I was concerned.

"Suika, I'm going to be heading out to 'that place' I told you about tomorrow morning," I stated without any elaboration. She knew what I was referring towards and I expected she'd be ready to go by the time I had left tomorrow. Without another word and ignoring the bait to keep this fight up, I unruffled my clothes that had shifted about when I flung myself backward, away from the fire pit and took off at a steady walking pace. I was livid but controlled in my temperament, but I wasn't about to let it show. I left prepared for a sneak attack from behind, but I somewhat doubted he'd go for it. Kyo had to look after the other two and give them their marks, rather than chase me down. It could be a misjudgment of character, but I was always a gambling man and I liked the odds. Assuming nothing happened, I'd be well out of the area and heading back into the city.

There was no way around it, Shizuka didn’t like what she was hearing. To an extent she had known this to be true, but it made no sense to give our orders without explaining them. If they were, indeed, the right ones, then there was no need to hide the meaning and purpose behind them. Right?

Carefully chewing on her rabbit she didn’t really feel bad about not sharing with the others. For one the village was close enough to get food if Eishi was truly hungry, then, Dakota could always hunt if she needed something real to set her teeth into. Aside from that, Shizuka was quite busy with thinking through the system they were stuck in. While she trusted her leaders to want the best for the community, she suddenly felt unsure if things worked as well as the top of the Cloud thought them to.

Taking her time to eat a part of the rabbit she found her and Suika being ushered to leave. It looked as if their tutor had some plans with Eishi who didn’t return the favor and simply left. The display was an odd one. Blinking in mild confusion she got up regardless of Eishi’s departure. It was time to go, and she wanted to talk a bit to Suika before everything came to an end. Perhaps Kyo would be chasing down the other guy, she wasn’t sure.

With the leftovers of the rabbit handed to Dakota in case she wanted it, she then nodded toward Kyo. “It was a nice evening, but next time you don’t need to ask a four year old to write your letters.” Grinning a little, she closed the gap between her and Suika by jumping over the bonfire. Briefly the warm had licked at the bottom of her feet, it was a nice sensation.

“Do you have some time to talk on the way back to the village?”
