Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Advanced Elements

shinobi 101 Mirror element
In order to keep up with her prestige, it was of up most importance that Yuki make good use of all her chakra natures and learn all she could. To be the best she could, she had done her research, and found that mirror jutsu fell under her natures. While she had no wind jutsu under her belt, and did not possess a knack for the wind element, she did have the nature thanks to her ice abilities. Water was her most developed nature and she could combine these two in order to produce the element of mirror. The challenge was doing such.

She tried with utter failure for a couple of weeks before she realized it was her knack for making ice that was in her way. The amount of each nature was exactly opposite from one another. So she flipped the percentage of water and wind chakra she used in ice jutsu and BAM! Mirror shards exploded form her fingers. Of course they were tiny and useless in combat. But hey, she had use of them now right? It would take years to master the mirror element, but it was one more tool in her belt she could utilize.

Vapor element
Vapor element was something Yuki could easily understand. She had a natural knack for fire nature; though she hated fire jutsu with a passion, and water was her favored element. The combination of the two would produce the element vapor that she had studied up about. Unlike mirror jutsu, this would not take her weeks. She would combine the two jutsu with almost instant success, on a small scale. Since she didn't use fire chakra often, it would take her a while in order to amp up the volume of vapor she could create.

Like ice and Mirror jutsu, Shadow and vapor were opposites. She would take advantage of this, and her previous work in mirror before anything else. Mirror taught her about the percentage of natures mixed in, and how important it was to get that mixture correct. She would end up with shadow jutsu if she wasn't careful. Since that was her predisposition. Once she fully understood the nature of the mixtures she had to move onto the hard part.

Mirror she had found a guide to hand signs in a library. Vapor jutsu however did not have a good guide, only snippets and basic research. So even though she mastered the use of the chakra nature, she had nothing to go on. So she had to delve deep into hand sign research in order to learn how to further her vapor jutsu. This would become a long journey htat would ecompass a couple of years, and she had no time to learn the jutsu she discovered if she hoped to unlock the full potential of the vapor jutsu. her plan was to finish all her research first and then come back and review as she tried to learn the hand signs and such to perform it. But it was well worth it.

Shadow element
Shadows were every in the Yukata clan, and that was literal as well as metaphorical. The shadow element was taught to anyone in the clan family as early as they could learn it. Fire was the predominant nature of the family. Yuki herself was able to conjure shadows at the age of seven. It was her favorite thing to do, to play tricks in the academy with peoples shadows. Though that was quickly put to rest as she was scolded for not only using her jutsu irresponsibly, but also because she was suppose to be proper in public.

She learned the art of the shadow starting at the age of five from her brother souji. He was the master of shadows in the family. His abilities went beyond even papas. If it weren't for him she would probably ended up learning around the age of ten instead. But Souji was insistent that she have an understanding early on. Luckily for him, she was gifted with the use of multiple chakra natures.

The training took two intense years for her to grasp it. After all, before you could grasp shadow, you had to deal with fire and water chakra. Water was easiest for her, but she had a knack for fire too. However she never learned any fire jutsus. They taught her how to do them, but she only learned as far as she need to recognize the nature and apply it. Once she understood both natures, it was revealed that her real work would now begin, as all previous training was leading up to shadow.

This was her first advance element. Mixing elements is always tricky, but especially to a young one. However failure in the Yukata clan was not tolerated and her brother persisted. He gave her hints and tips to progress her as fast as she could. By age seven she learned to make the shadows obey.

Once she could mix the chakra, her advancement in the jutsu was exercised through games of shadow tag. Some of her fondest brother sister time was actually training for her future. The game of tag was an old tradition used to teach those in her family when it came to multiple things. It taught her how to utilize her shadow jutsu, then how to use shadow jutsu to stealth properly.

Abilities

Bloody mess Req D-rank
Blood was life. A shinobi's job was to defeat their opponent by reducing their life force to the point of unconsciousness or death. So it was only logical that reducing the blood they have would reduce their life faster. Her whole fighting style was developed to provide assistance to her allies in battle. She did this by hiding in the shadows, using genjtsu to confuse her opponents, and then use techniques meant to make them bleed.

But at some point poking holes into people with senbon was not enough. Aiming at critical veins, organs, and of course the heart itself was the key to increasing the output. So in reality, just practicing her ability to aim accurately with her projectiles was enough to increase her blood output on her enemies. But to go even further was to read up on the anatomy of the human body. To understand almost every vessel and where to strike to mess up multiple vessels at once. Some areas of the body were so intense with arterioles and capillaries that it was more prudent to scrape the skin then pierce it. She learned how to apply acid to these sensitive areas to increase effective stripping of tissues so the bleed output was maximized.

It saddened her to cause such pain to anyone, but for Iwa and her allies, she would do anything.

Defensive technique Req E-rank
Defense, it was necessary in combat to have good protection. Some ninja only worry about offensive prowess and forget to watch their back. Ninja like Yuki were there in the background to protect such ruthless ninja from being destroyed by their own offensive natures. While the heroes of the village boast success and share their epic fights, her kind smiled secretly, knowing they would never have succeeded without their support.

She herself was a master at defensive techniques. Both in protecting herself and others. When you avoid direct confrontation with enemies, it keeps your body softer. It was a necessity to train her defensive styles to a point of mastery or she would fail. If they land one hit on her small frame, she was screwed and she knew it. Having a small frame gave a smaller chance to be hit luckily. So whether she trained her defensive styles or not, she already had the advantage.

Economizer req D-rank
'A good ninja maximizes the use of their available carrying space. You never know what you will need, so carry everything you can think of for any situation' her brother once told her. Yuki never took her brothers advice lightly. It was his words that lead her to an almost OCD like use of her shinobi gear. Senbon were lined in the most effective storage capacity instead of effective drawing capacity. She retrained herself to draw them as such. Items were carefully analyzed to overstuff pockets with so many gadgets, a normal ninja wouldn't know what to do with it all. Every inch of her was hidden with goodies waiting to be used. She was a walking shinobi shop!

Strategist E rank
Having so much gear meant being able to use it properly and efficiently. Strategy was the utmost importance. What she could make with her ninjutsu she could enhance with her items. Binding jutsu alone were effective but why take the chance when you had ninja wire available as well? Senbon were equipped with explosive notes, acid was attached to splash her opponent when she substituted away from harm, all this she mimicked from her brothers strategies. She would never be as good as he was ta it, but he taught her everything and she did her best to mimic his style.

Hidden power req 40 stat average 75 stamina
Something most people did not know about Yuki was her hidden anger. She was the sweetest girl you could know until you started to hurt her or her loved ones. But if you made her bleed, if you actually manage to hurt her body and mess up her beauty...well like any girl she took that personal. But her anger was unmatched. It didn't just make her more aggressive, something inside her actually enhanced her power. The more damage she took, the more bruises ot her lovely skin, the more scars being left behind, the more you were going to pay for it.

Stalker req D-rank
Learning to manipulate shadow jutsu through the shadow tag game was what made her so good at hiding. Her brother had meant to teach her how to control her shadow jutsu, but inadvertently he had made her one of the best in the village at hiding from an opponent. She would even go so far as to use genjutsu to try and further her hiding. Unfortunately her brother was good at recognizing illusions, but sometimes they worked. All in all, most people would never find her during tag. Sometimes even Souji gave up, rarely, but sometimes. Luckily, this skill directly translated into her fighting style as she got older.

Healing factor D-rank
Some people were able to take so much abuse that it was uncanny. Some people were fragile and practically fell apart in one punch. Yuki was the latter choice. Recognizing this, it was of her families belief that she was unsuited for shinobi life. But she persisted, and so a solution was devised.

On her thirteenth birthday she was given a gift. It was a seal placed on her right shoulder that would basically enhance her bodies natural ability to heal. It was an effect that would help her with her stamina issues, but it would not make up for her handicap. But it was a start.

Illusionist D-rank
Shadows, trickery, illusions. They were woven in and out of her training as a child whether she was aware of it or not. Her shadow jutsu taught her to hide, it taught her how to stay safe. Her tag with her brother forced her mentality whether she realized it or not. Her only offensive option was genjutsu as a child during those games. Everything he did was on purpose. The ultimate game of tag was the secret to pushing her towards illusionary magic as well. Everything went back to tag. Tag was the Yukata secret to shinobi success! Shh don't tell!

Duelist C-rank
Dueling was not a proper shinobi sentiment. However of the prestigious folk like herself, it was a staple for every warrior to know. In fact, one on one fighting was a show of respect between nobles. Whether you were her enemy or not, if she had the opportunity to take you aside and give you a fair fight for your life, then she would. If it did not endanger her allies or mission, she would not miss the opportunity. Of course, sometimes one on one fights with her were more dangerous than fighting three on three. If you accept, you could be dooming yourself further.
